A really nice hotel with very nice staff. The spa facilities are excellent. The thing that lets it down a bit is the poor maintenance standards - it has been allowed to get a bit dated in some places and some drainpipes were spilling out onto the wall rather than a drain etc. This wouldn't prevent me from recommending it but I want to set a realistic expectation and to encourage the owners to invest in this lovely hotel.
It is adjacent to woodland walks, so great for dog walks.
The breakfast was nice although perhaps slightly old fashioned. eg. a woman was complaining that the glasses for juice were really small, which used to be the norm but people object now. It didn't bother me but it does typify that the place sometimes was a little old fashioned. If they updated it even a bit, it could be seen as a very luxurious place, as it is lovely.

Young lady on reception really helpful and pleasant she even showed us to the room and offered to carry our case. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she’s a real asset to the hotel. Manager very kind and helpful also. Bar staff good.
Room ok pity about the large stain on the carpet.
Food good, quick service, hot and tasty.
Would highly recommend the hotel. Plenty of parking. Didn’t have time to use any of the facilities which is a pity.

The pool was a nice extra and we booked in for an hour with no problems.
Food was good, both breakfast and in the restaurant.
The grounds were lovely to walk around.

I only stayed here as it was fairly close to Bristol airport..

The staff were very friendly upon arrival, reception and bar area all very nice looking but the room itself was very outdated. Don’t get me wrong I love an old building, but the room felt very tired and dirty. I’m glad I was only using it as a bed for the night to be honest.. if I’d booked as a spa weekend I’d have been very disappointed!

What a fantastic hotel, amazing staff, especially the receptionist who gave us brilliant ideas of places in the area to visit.
Hotel was immaculate, breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the view from the terrace was the sun sets was outstanding.

The hotel is very tired and a real mix of old and new, it needs investment to get it up to scratch. The beds only had one very thin pillow and we were in room 119, which was pokey and tired, with a lovely (!) view of the bins right at the back of the hotel. I won’t rush back but it was only £65 a night. We didn’t eat there or use the facilities so can’t comment on them.

Unacceptable for £60. I expected to be able to sleep well at the very least. The place is out of date, staff attitude is no can do the \"spa\" comprises of two store cupboard sized rooms next to the weights in the gym. ( Not pool side but down the far end of the gym which you have to walk through) The sauna cupboard, fits 3 people, it stank of sickly sweat because it's used predominantly by local gym members, young 20+ men for sweating post work out. They walked in with out showering and in their gym shorts!...and the conversation was loud and crude. The changing rooms were public pool style with push button showers, no temperature control. This is a basic gym not a spa! So don't come here if your looking for an actual spa experience.
My room smelt of cold cooking oil as it was above the kitchen. The curtains let in so much light at night and during the day that I could read the time on my watch with out needing to turn on a light at 2am. There was no sound proofing. I could hear the chefs coughing downstairs in the kitchens, banging metal trays, talking and listening to music at 9 p.m. and from 6:30 in the morning.
I did not stay my second night but went to Day's Inn down the road for a comfortable clean quiet nights sleep and for £10 less.
Staff are under trained and probably poorly supported so are not able / willing to assist or use initiative.

Lovely character and for a convenient break is fine.
Pool you must b9ok swimming slots as only 6 persons allowed.
Steam and sauna is located oitside pool area through gym due to layout thats a bit inconvenient.
Female changing has no individual cubicles, showers are open for two persons with one wc, no family changing. Lockers provided and pool does have family and kids designated times.
If your unsteady on your feet there are rooms at back of hotel but outlook can be bleak.
Treatment rooms two but only one is quiet the other is smaller and can pick up pool noise.

We had a marvellous stay at this hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was full of character, and the bed comfortable. We used the pool twice, with the booking system working well with the adults only session being honoured. We ate dinner in the restaurant - the food choice was great, and prices both for dinner and wine fair and reasonable. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Somerset.

I would recommend the webbington hotel 100% the only thing I would say is you have to remember there is no lifts so if you have a disability book the ground floor if possible the staff are brilliant & will help you with anything you need they made my little dog so welcome the reception staff are friendly & polite one member of staff Gino could not do enough to help he is a great member of the staff there all in all the Webbington Spa is an ideal place to stay to relax or sight seeing the views are breathtaking

Stayed on a Saturday evening and arrived before check in time. A wedding was in progress and although we had been warned that might happen we felt as if the wedding had taken over the whole of the ground floor and there was no where really for us to sit for a drink without feeling we were gate crashing the wedding.
When we checked in the staff were lovely. They explained all the facilities and booked a time for swimming for us and sorted a small issue with the room immediately. We booked a time for dinner in the restaurant for later in the evening.
After we unpacked we had a wonderfully relaxing swim/ sauna/ steam. Again the staff were lovely, there were towels provided and the offer of more if we required. The health suite facilities were very clean and the gym was extensive.
Dinner was good and the menu had lots of options.
Our room was good, clean and spacious and as it was on the third floor and we heard nothing from the party downstairs and even though the hotel is very near the M5 we didn’t hear any traffic noise so we slept very well.

I’d like to start off by saying the staff here, especially the manager and receptionist are exceptional, I cannot fault them in anyway, they went above and beyond to look after me, they get five stars.

The down side is the hotel is very dated, it doesn’t look like the pictures, the gym is tired, the rooms and bathrooms especially and I didn’t have a good experience with the food. The manager sorted that though. My original room also was very damp smelling, but that was also resolved and I was able to move rooms.

Unfortunately for me this wasn’t the relaxing spa evening I envisioned as a stopping point to my destination.

I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t stay again. Best Western need to invest in this property, it isn’t the staffs fault, you have a very good team here and is a credit to your business, but you need to put money into the property and bring it up to date.

The hotel is a lovely old building, this does mean its a bit higgledy piggledy but it's still lovely. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. There was a breakfast buffet with hot and cold food available. The restaurant will cook fresh omelettes, poached eggs & vegetarian sausages on request. The standard room itself was clean with towels, toiletries, with tea & coffee facilities available. There is a steam and sauna room available for guests to use for free & they supply the towel. There's also a lovely pool. All this is available to book on the Webbington Hotel website along with any spa treatments which do incur an extra charge but are well worth it. We had a really lovely weekend made all the better by the helpful and courteous staff. We would highly recommend

Nice refurbished old hotel with good parking. Check-in staff were excellent. The common areas were well maintained although in a few places paint was showing a little wear in the stairs to the courtyard rooms. The room was an old style room but well repurposed, everything was well cleaned. The bathroom was new and excellently maintained with everything
working well and the water nice and hot. The spa, gym and pool were well equipped, although in an unusual configuration- steam room and sauna are through the gym not near the pool. You have to book for the pool, I think it is restricted to 4 people at a time, due to the size, but large enough for good exercise. The breakfast was nice with a good selection of hot and cold food. Definitely will stay here again.

A good sized hotel situated off a main road but maintaining privacy. My room was in an adjacent building across the courtyard. The room was nice and tidy and the bed gave a great night's sleep. I used the onsite gym facility they have. The equipment was a little old but everything was there to provide a really good workout even with Smooth radio providing a weird soundtrack for a workout. There was a lovely breakfast on hand in the morning and got my day off to a good start. I would definitely look at staying here again.

Had previously stayed before and it was great, so was very disappointed when this time was a very disappointing stay. My room was in the building across the forecourt. Carpet was filthy, remote control for the TV was busted so you could only turn the volume up and not down, room was small and grubby.
If you book a room make sure it's in the main building and not one of their \"cosy\" rooms.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The entire property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made a great first impression. The facilities were excellent – the pool was spotless and relaxing, the gym was well-equipped, and the sauna and steam room were a wonderful bonus for unwinding after a long day.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting guests with a smile and happy to assist with any requests. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about guests’ comfort.

Overall, this hotel offers amazing value for money. With the quality of the amenities, cleanliness, and service, it easily rivals more expensive options. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Overnight stay in Room 117, a bit of a maze to find and a lot of stairs, so if you have any disability, don’t pick that one. Room was clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom facility and quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and Evening meal had a good selection and was nicely cooked.
Made use of the Indoor Pool, which was very clean and attractive, they use a booking system so it doesn’t get overcrowded.

The bathroom smelt foisty it was an unpleasant smell the bed was two single beds push together the joint of the beds stuck up so it was uncomfortable.we had asked for a double bed not twin beds, don’t say double room if it isn’t a double room! there was a hole in the sheet, the towels looked old off white . Windows did not close properly reception staff not helpfully at all.

There was a wedding being held there on the second day which meant that the restaurant was unavailable and the bar area was full of wedding guests which made us feel like interlopers.

There was an Indian wedding being held when I stayed. It was horrendously noisy with the sound travelling right up to Rm3. The guests were very noisy in the corridors and rooms above too.
I'd advise you find out if similar functions are being held before you confirm your stay.
The hotel is quite tired and very old fashioned now.

A few points could do with improvement. Access for disabled and those with poor mobility is terrible. I had trouble with the shower in my room. My room overlooked a courtyard. People used the courtyard for smoking, and as windows were open due to the hot weather, the smell of the smoking inevitably entered my room.

The hotel is in a lovely location but it is a bit dated. We used the pool and the steam room. The pool isn't big so you do have to book a slot. There was only 4 beds by the pool and no chairs which meant people were limited if they wanted to relax by the pool. We ate at the hotel and opted for a meal on the bar rather than the restaurant. The menu was better in the bar and it was served very quickly. I had the homemade chicken and leek pie and my husband had the chicken curry. Both were piping hot and delicious. The staff were all very professional and efficient. We were upgraded and had a lovely room. The hotel does need updating but it didn't spoil our stay

Second time staying for a quick 2 night break away. Breakfast is excellent. The last room in main house was better than the latest one in the annexe. The bed wasn't particularly comfy and we both had backache but what I find too soft someone else will find ok. We love cycling the Strawberry line nearby and the local Thai restaurant in Cheddar is a must!
Pool water is clean and clear... would we stay again...Yes.

Nice hotel, little dated but adds to the character. My room was very hot and no mirror to do my hair as no plugs next to a mirror. The gym was good.

Hard to get to with the small roads. Rooms are very outdated and not very clean. Rooms are very thin and you can hear everything outside the rooms and windows.
