Beautiful location, well-kept and gorgeous grounds with nice selection of outdoor space for great views and relaxation. Quaint. Gorgeous.
Super instructions for entry for arriving after hours, the gate and door lock systems super secure and convenient.
Nice breakfast delivered in picnic basket.
Would recommend not having divisive news station on public room tv. (Just not a choice for everyone.)

Unyielding and Unfriendly Policies

We are three sisters from different parts of the country looking to meet up together for several; days by the lake at this hotel that had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, one of us needed emergency hospitalization one day before check-in. The hotel was rigid and unreceptive with respect to its no-refund policy. They charged full cost, including extra charges for the 3rd person and all taxes despite the fact that there was no sale involved (>$170). I understand \"no refund\" policies but there needs to be some compassionate exceptions when its called for. I would seriously recommend full consideration of their policies before booking the LakeHouse Inn.

I will start on a positive note....the Lakeview Inn has a lovely view on the lake. But I received the wrong passcode to the room with no emergency phone to call. Thankfully someone in the closed restaurant assisted us. There were no staff members managing the welcome desk. The office was closed. All communication is done by texting. The cottage was small and stifling. Our complimentary cookies were broken. Not a welcoming impression. The ceiling fan blades were topped with dust so not able to be used. This drab no view room cost us $300.00 for 1 night in the middle of the week off season.

We arrived early and asked if we could possibly use the lobby or some other space for the Wi-Fi-as I had an imperator work meeting. Initially I was told ‘yes’ I could go got the spa, associated with the resort, across the street- I thanked them and then received a text saying they thought I would only need it a few minutes. The spa was closed- we were disturbing no one. We had to go to a McDonald’s for Wi-Fi. I would think at $300/night as a customer waiting for a room- you should be able to use the Wi-Fi. In addition, the spa and restaurant were closed with no notice on your website. Bikes on property cost additional money to use. Grounds are well maintained, room is clean, but this seems like a very SIMPLE gesture to allow a paying client to use the Wi-Fi.

Even though the room was rather small (tiniest sink ever), we did not want for anything. Breakfast in our room was a little awkward, but we managed. Drink and dining options were within easy driving or walking distance, all with a fabulous view of the lake. Several wineries just a short drive south, but also in town.

Great Couples Getaway

We really enjoyed everything about our anniversary celebration at the Lakeside Inn! The beautifully landscaped grounds and terraces with umbrella tables overlooking Lake Erie provided a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or watch the sunset with a cocktail.While the room and bathroom was small it was immaculate and comfortable. The mattress,bedding and pillows were amazing! I especially liked the large,fluffy bath towels and organic handmade soap and lavender lotion and peppermint lip balm. The basket of snacks and welcome cookies were an unexpected treat. Breakfast at the on grounds Crosswind Grill was delicious and far better than the usual complimentary breakfast hotels offer. Everything about the Lakeside Inn contributed to a great Couples Getaway. We'll be back!

Beautiful property, will come back in the summer. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little small, but very clean.There are suites available, I was traveling alone and felt more comfortable in the smaller room. The bedding and bed made for an excellent nights sleep. The restaurant was excellent, the food was cooked to perfection, and their wine brand was very good.

My wife and I purchased the Wine and Dine package. After the first night we were on the winery tour when I got a call that my sister was being transferred via Life Flight to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for emergency thoracic surgery. We immediately returned to the hotel to pack to drive to the hospital. I went to the office to check out and was told by the desk person (older woman, grey hair and glasses). that we would have to pay the full amount for the 2 day program. When I questioned her she told me that they needed 14days to cancel because they were a small company. Emergencies don't come with a 14 day notice. We were very disappointed but at the moment I was more concerned about my sister than arguing with her, so we left.

Disappointing food service; smug staff

We really wanted to be fair and give this winery a chance before solidifying our opinion of the food service. This was our second visit and we will NEVER return. We placed a simple order with a request for no onions on a salad and no pastrami on a cheeseburger. The waitress took our order and later returned with a salad full of onions and a cheeseburger with pastrami melted into the cheese. When we pointed out the problem she tried to get us to just try the burger as is and said the onions were big enough for us to pick off. Then she stated orders could not be modified. Seriously? She should have addressed that at the time of order. The pleasant Lake Erie view does not make up for the terrible customer service. There are plenty of other beautiful, delicious and friendly wineries in Northeast Ohio . I suggest you check them out- Ferrante, Old Mill, Laurentia, Hundley, Harpersfield, South River, Debonne, etc. etc.

Fantastic Stay All-around!

The Lakehouse Inn is truly an amazing find! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding- staff was very personable and on point. Our server- Jen. T took great care of us every time we were at the grille.

The grounds are beautiful- right on the lake with plenty of seating to take in the view and fresh air. The rooms were nice and stocked with essentials. Overall- the food, people, and place exceeded our expectations. Couldn't have picked a better place for a get away weekend- we will be back!

We had such an amazing time! Four of us girls stayed in one of the cottages and it was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. The staff at Lakehouse Inn and at the joining restaurant Crosswinds were fantastic! They were so welcoming, and friendly! They made us feel right at home. The food/wine was amazing! The location is right in the heart of everything.

Best B & B in the Geneva area

My husband and I have stayed at the inn one other time, and we have eaten at Crosswinds Grill (the onsite restaurant) many times. The Lakehouse folks do not disappoint. It doesn't matter if you are talking to housekeepers, spa professionals, servers, or the front desk, everyone is kind and helpful. We love the location, but fair warning: in the winter, the wind really whips around since the Lakehouse is (duh) on the lake. The heater in our cottage was strong, but if your feet get cold, then bring slippers.

The cottage we had was equipped with all of the creature comforts of home. No need to bring a hair dryer, toiletries, coffee, wineglasses or snacks, etc. They have thought of everything.

The food is always fabulous, whether you are there for brunch or for dinner. Everything is cooked to perfection. It doesn't matter what you order--you can't go wrong.

Great location; clean, well-kept grounds; friendly service; private parking; relaxing spa across the street, and beautiful lake view make this place a winner.

Great getaway destination!

We booked the Lakehouse Inn as a quick small honeymoon trip through living social. Not sure what to expect- especially a winter on the lake trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the nice location and view of the lake as well as the great restaurant right across the sidewalk! I would recommend highly to anyone this nice jewel of a getaway Inn to anyone. We are already looking forward to a return trip in the summer to take advantage of all the amenities there!

Romantic New Year's Trip

We found an amazing deal for The Lakehouse Inn on Living Social. It included a two-night stay in a cottage, $20 spa credit, a three-course dinner for two, breakfast for two each day, a wine tasting for two, a bottle of wine with dinner, and two souvenir wine glasses for an affordable price. The cottage was spotless and the staff were some of the friendliest people we had ever met! The beach house

My husband and I stayed at the lakehouse inn awesome beach house right on the lake . It was fabulous and just what we were looking for especially considering it was for our honeymoon . The beach house was super clean , great jacuzzi tub , the bed looks right over the lake and cute fireplace . We also loved the deck where we sat in the evenings that over looked the lake . They also had a little beach where we walked. It was so peaceful and quiet . Also we had breakfast included every morning and it was fabulous . Everyone was so nice and friendly made us feel right at home . I also went to the spa and had a relaxing massage by Megan . She was fantastic just what I needed and she even stayed late to give me a massage since they were getting ready to close . Great clean spa . And to top it off we had a nice romantic dinner at the crosswinds grille and our steak dinner was the best we ever had everything was fresh and so delicious . It was right behind our beach house so we could step right out and go to dinner . Was the best time we had . We loved everything about the lakehouse inn beach house and would highly recommend it to anyone . We definitely will be back again .

We chose this spot to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It's nice (for a change) to look forward to a getaway and actually have it exceed your expectations. This place is wonderful; we had no complaints whatsoever. While sightseeing in the area, it occurred to us more than once that we had apparently picked the nicest spot available without even knowing it. The whole place is very charming, the staff are all helpful and kind, and it's also very affordable. Would recommend to anyone wanting a cozy, quiet weekend in a pretty spot. Props especially to Stephanie, who was working the desk during our stay, and Shirley, one of the servers in the restaurant there--two standouts in an exceptional group of staff.

PERFECT Place for any occasion

We got married on Oct 3 and had reserved a suite for that night We were about two hours behind schedule, but were warmly greeted when we walked in. Our room was perfectly clean and fresh. The bedding was extremely comfortable and amenities were wonderful. The entire staff at the Inn and restaurant were superb! Very friendly, warm and accommodating. We could not have selected a better place to spend our wedding night. We loved it so much we extended our stay for an extra night (wished we could have spent a week!). We have already decided that we will be spending our anniversaries at The Lakehouse Inn. Many thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and special!!

Small room, but we will return!

My husband and I were there for only 1 night so I booked the less expensive room. Pretty darn small but the king bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Bathroom is adequate and small. Next time I'll book a larger room as this was a beautiful Inn and a beautiful setting on the lake - we'll be back, for sure!

This was our third time there, we love it! Twice at the beach house once in the inn. he saw a bald eagle fly overhead this time. pretty cool

One Night

We only stayed one night because of late booking,however from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The staff are friendly and professional.The room and environment were peaceful and comfortable. I would recommend a stay if you are looking for a place on Lake Erie.

Early September stay was quiet and exceptional

Absolutely wonderful place. We stayed 3 nights recently and enjoyed every minute.

The property is beautiful and situated right on Lake Erie. Far enough away from the strip that it was quiet. Close enough that you can walk to a number of places.

The suites are worth the extra cost if you'll be there more than a night.

Perfect 1 year anniversary

I found the B&B on booking.com and loved the pictures! It was totally worth it and exceeded everything I was expecting. The area is beautiful and the lot that it sits on is perfect! My wife and I loved it and it was the perfect spot for our one year wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back in the future!

Love the lakehouse

The Lakehouse Inn has a most relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views that are hard to find anywhere. Cozy. Comforting. You will feel at home here . Delicious breakfast with a variety of foods. Great support staff. A real gem.

needed retreat!

The Lakehouse Inn is lovely with exceptional views of Lake Erie. The terraced sitting and dining areas provide outstanding views of the lake. Every night is a treat watching the sun set over Lake Erie. The attention to detail of the entire resort is impressive from the lodge porch to the beautiful gardens, to the exterior lighting, to the beach access, to the dining options, to the Lodge main living area. Our only disappointment was in our room which was a traditional room. I knew it would be small but it was really small! Just room for a bed with little decorating character. However, we were greeted every morning with an amazing breakfast that far exceeded our expectations.

Exceptional first visit!

We just had our first visit to the lakehouse inn. The inn was wonderful. We stayed 1 night in room #4 and then the second night in the Sturgeon Squite #6. Both were excellent for a B&B. The scenery is beautiful. The crosswinds grille is great!

Great view

First time in this area and loved the tiered patio overlooking Lake Erie and the great breakfasts. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are adequate - not fancy but when you are out all day you just want a comfortable bed to rest your head and this fits the bill. And it was quiet in the main B&B. Find the time to see some of the covered bridges in the area especially the ones off the beaten path. Or take the scenic drive along Rt 531 and stop at parks along the route and see some great views of Lake Erie.

Wine and Cheese Special

This was our 2nd time at the Lakehouse. The service, room and Food was outstanding! Then again so was the wine, we got extra to take home once again. You have done a wonderful job with this place. Look forward to visiting again.
