This historic property is in a beautiful neighborhood and offers great value, but because of its age it does need some renovation/maintenance. Some of the furnishings are a bit worn, carpets need cleaning or replacement and some minor mechanical repairs.

Nonetheless this is a great place overall. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We booked the Suite for a long weekend and weren’t disappointed. Room was spacious with numerous balconies. Extra touches with cakes, fruit or sweets daily along with bottled water, besides the normal tea and coffee. Cleanliness was second to none. Staff were professional and polite. Breakfast was full of variety along with freshly cooked eggs and bacon by order. The indoor and rooftop pool facilities were amazing. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity along with bars. Just a short walk away from the Palace and its gardens that are well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

What an amazing hotel! Lovely interior, large rooms and so quiet. There were no tea making facilities in the room, however a kettle, cups and spoons were provided upon request. Staff very friendly. Lovely breakfast. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, due to the late dining times. The hotel is just a short walk from the Royal Palace, which was well worth a visit. We parked in the free car park just across the road, near to a back entrance gate to the hotel.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are large, comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast is great with a good selection of food and drink options.

My only issue is the gps takes you to their event bldg which isn’t connected. I had to call to find where the hotel was located.

Highly recommended staying here if you’re in the area.

5 star hotel, 5 star staff, top of the line service, restaurants in property serving breakfast buffet, and dinner, the location!!! The property is impecable, rooms are huge, comfy beds, big bathroom and fluffy towels.
Nothing compare to Paradores in Spain. This is the second property I stayed during this road trip and i am extremely happy I chose to stay at Paradores . Highly recommend it!!

Two small improvements possible: couldn’t turn the heating below 19ºC at night (Too late at night to bother reception), and normal buffet service not available at breakfast,(but we could request more of any items etc). Fantastic room - really comfortable and huge and very attractively furnished and decorated. Could have stayed in the room forever it was so good! Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. So good to be greeted with a friendly smile. Will definitely stay here again. Parking on the street outside was easy.

Amazing hotel in a two year old building...situated within the city walls with a free car public car park at the rear.(note public car park so not exclusive).
Rooms are large with a balcony..ours overlooked the nearby area...some overlook the street.
We had dinner which was expensive and unremarkable. For example the steak was described as being served with ‘special roasted potatoes’...in fact it was served with fries..this is not what is expected from a restaurant of this alledged quality. Restaurant staff were a little grumpy. We took breakfast which offered lots of choices and was good..but at 19euro a little expensive..breakfast staff were much more welcoming.

The building is an interesting place to stay. I would say that the room decor was middle-of-the-road for hotel standards. There was an odd wooden structure in the room near the window with steps so that you could adjust the shutters, which was a notable feature. One thing that was a bit frustrating was that they required you to pay them to iron your clothes. I was in La Granja for a wedding and after an international flight I needed to touch up wrinkles on everything I brought, so this was a relatively small but hidden cost, as most hotels provide an iron for you. It is in the middle of the village and walking distance from just about everything.

Stayed one night before an afternoon flight the next day.
Stayed in many Paradores but probably this one has the worst parking arrangements and access to reception.
Lots of spaces to park but you will have to walk quite far to the main entrance as all other access gates on the side of the building are locked.
We were told at checkin the gates could be opened upon departure the next day but this request was declined.
Restaurant staff were very attentive and we were able to dine outside and listen to a free concert that was scheduled for that night.
Free access to the palace too as it was a holiday? But remember to close your windows at night ( they are soundproof) as there are lots of churches and the “ bells” are very distracting and they chime not just on the hour.
Beautiful Royal town with lots of shaded cafes.

Slightly hard to find but well worth it.

Drove from Santander to the hotel which took about 3.5 hours. Excellent hotel the rooms were comfortable and very spacious and the hotel is amazing in its tranquillity and design. The reception staff were very helpful, we had dinner which was rather expensive and the menu options were fairly small, I would have liked more choice. However breakfast was very good and better value. Overall I would definitely recommend the La Granja as a place to stay if you are travelling through Spain.

Restful stay close to Royal Palace

We loved the hotel and the location. You need a car to stay here as it is not easily accessible by public transportation but the hotel offers free parking. It is walking distance to the Royal Palace and around 20 minutes away by car from Segovia. Breakfast was really impressive. Staff were helpful. The only disappointment was the closed outdoor pool and the indoor pool was not available for free. It was part of the spa experience the hotel offered.

Our room was nice but plainly decorated. Very quiet even tho we faced the street outside of the gate. Breakfast was a tad more sumptuous than one gets in most 4 star hotels in Spain; the setting was nice. We didn't dine in the hotel so can't comment. It's the only parador we've stayed in so can't compare with others but we'd recommend this one. It's also close to the town's palace & gardens.

Nicely located in a village built to support the nearby palace - 5 mins walk away. Only a few miles from Segovia. The rooms are good and the staff friendly. Two areas of concern: (1) only 30 parking spaces for a hotel with over 200 rooms. If unlucky and you are not given a key to the car park, the only options are on street parking or to park on a public car park behind the hotel. Not ideal. (2) Breakfast for two costs 35 Euros. Simply too much. A slight clash of cultures - the air conditioning was not on (April) and we were too hot overnight. When queried we were asked if we were cold - obviously cold for the Spanish and too hot for the Brits.

Nice place for a family weekend to relax & enjoy

Pool times should be longer (more in the morning) and the gym seemed to not have air conditioning, but that is not the main reason to go to the hotel hence I did not factor in my rating (4.5+ rating more appropriate). It's very central and overall very nice. Best parador I have stayed in.

Nada del otro mundo

La limpieza de la habitación era correcta excepto que en la alfombra había manchas, para un parador de 4 estrellas no es normal.
El regulador de calefacción/aire acondicionado no funcionaba, lo min es 19 grados y 25 de max, un día que hacía muchísimo calor y querer bajarlo fue imposible. El radiador del baño era imposible cerrarlo, por lo que el calor se concentraba mucho no solo ahí sino que en la habitación, pero el radiador de la habitación si que estaba cerrado.
El querer descansar pero haber personas cenando en el restaurante y que todo el ruido se oiga ya que tenía una habitación de la primera planta.
Un parador sin accesibilidad, me parece que en el 2025 que estamos es intolerable.
El personal era correcto, pero lo único que te decían era precios de desayunos. El resto te daban el teléfono, tuvimos que preguntar sobre el parking suyo. No sé si tenían wifi, si tenían el personal no lo dio y haciendo el check in y habiendo cola, había dos personas pero solo una haciendo el check-in, la otra persona tecleando en el ordenador.

El Real Sitio de San Ildefonso hermoso lugar a visitar y el Parador le da aun mas el toque para que descanses y disfrutes de sus rincones para vivir respirando un clima de armonía entre el confort, historia y modernidad.”Unas habitaciones para soñar despierto” no es solo un slogan de mercadotecnia que lees en su pagina, en realidad sueñas despierto al pasear entre sus jardines y la vista que tienes desde tu habitación, que por cierto es sumamente cómoda con excelente decoración. En la Cena el Jefe de Comedor, si mal no recuerdo su nombre es Mariano Cubero, nos atenido como reyes complaciendo en nuestros antojos. Iba con mi esposo con poco tiempo y no pudimos estar en su SPA, sin embargo prometía ser un lugar donde te concienten al maximo. No conocía esta cadena de Hoteles, pero mi próximo viaje estere visitando algun otro en uno de los tantos lugares hermosos que tiene España.
