My second year staying at La Casa Mudejar. Great Experience, with Great Customer Service. The front desk is super helpful & attentive. The rooms were clean, fresh, & comfortable. The front room with the balcony overlooking the street is great for people watching. The WiFi can be a little slow but that is my only complaint. 5/5 experience.

Excellent hôtel and outstanding service with a near ideal placement two steps away from the Plaza Mayor. Only drawback is the lack of parking but they offer a Valet service for 17 Euros per day.

Nobody replied and we found out when arrived, that the Massage services were fully booked. Given that we booked Spa property for it´s services - while the price was quite high- this experience was a pretty disappointing.

It’s an older property so I wouldn’t expect the building to be in perfect condition. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but there was no bathroom ventilation and some area of the walls needed repairs. Also extremely difficult to find parking anywhere nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Ideally located and good service, but couple notable problems: 1) sound proofing is poor. Had to call desk at 12am to complain about really noisy family upstairs. 2) Massage services are professional, but the jacuzzi water was cold. I wasn't only client to complain about this, but nothing was done. Since clients pay 20€ for an hour of use, heat should not be in short supply. Plenty of hot water in bathroom though. Good breakfast buffet, but pastry shop next door is not to be missed.

Perfect location in heart of beautiful old city.

Location in heart of town is wonderful.
The spa is an extra €25 pp and it is unique in that it has old Roman ruin elements in it.
It was a self service arrangement where you take yourself from one element to the next (hot showers, colder showers, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room etc). We asked about doing massages or spa services but they said they didn’t have staff that day so we didn’t try that aspect.
Didn’t have time to eat any food at this hotel but there are lots of good restaurants nearby. Front desk staff very nice and helpful.

The best thing about the property is their location. It is right off of the main square a stone's throw to the Cathedral. We were suprised that even guests of the hotel were expected to pay 30 euros to access the spa area. The rooms were large enough for a mini-fridge and a coffee and tea station yet none were offered.

The room with double bed was fine overall if a little on the small side. I found the space in bathroom somewhat tight between the wash basin and the shower/bath area. If the glass screen opened access would be easier.
I did not like that I could not adjust the air conditioning. You have to ask reception to come up and set. Why?
I did not have breakfast as when I travel I like to go local and have a cafe con leche, churros and zumo at a local cafetaria.
The location is very good, close to the plaza mayor.
The price/quality ratio is ok but I did find better in Salamanca for example.

Best location in town just off the main square. Can drive in through pedestrian area and park for half hour to drop off luggage, but have to park permanently elsewhere, which wasn't too hard. Lovely professional staff, nice rooms. Thoroughly recommended. I did;t see anywhere better

We stayed for three nights, on a room only basis so cannot comment on the restaurant. Our room overlooked an internal courtyard so no nice view but on the plus side it was quiet. The room was a decent size and equipped with all essentials; bed and pillows comfortable. Small but well appointed bathroom (with bathtub). Everything worked!

While the hotel is difficult to find (and please, don't rely on GPS to get you there...) it is well worth it! If you are driving, call as you are coming in to town and the desk staff will talk you in - and have a parking plan lined up for you too! Great value for a nice quiet place merely steps away from the cathedral and a comfortable walk to all must-see city sites.

My wife, daughter and I spent one night at the hotel. It is in a superb location -- a stone's throw from the cathedral (middle of the old town), with convenient access to shopping, all tourist sites, places to hang out, dining etc. The people running the place could not have been nicer! Very solicitous and very helpful. The rooms were clean, but not special in any way -- but very comfortable place to sleep. A/C was a little puzzling, but we figured it out. We had a quiet room facing away from the street. Not much of a view of anything but some rooftops, but we were looking for a moderately priced place in the heart of the old town, and found it. The breakfast (I think we paid 8 euros), was a very good value, with the usual array of pastries, bread, fruits, Spanish torta, yogurt etc. I would definitely stay there again.

What an amazing hotel. It's beautiful! The staff is very friendly, and the location is feet from the town center. The Roman bath is amazing and worth paying for. Parking is a bit difficult due to the location, but we were able to find a parking lot not to far away. I highly recommend this, especially for a romantic getaway.

great location in a beautful city

First let me say that Segovia is one of the prettiest cities in spain and must not be missed. Also, don't miss the down of Granja (spelling#. It is only 10 miles south and has the most incredible large garden with fountains. It looks like Versailles in france. This hotel is right next to the plaza mayor see can easily visit the sites and restaurants. Room is small as is all of Europe and bed is very firm. Parking is the biggest problem. Just to find the hotel requires you to park in the plaza mayor and walk to the front #you can not drive up to the front door). The you have to park about 10 minute walk away. I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to all the fun, just allow extra time for parking and moving luggage.

In the heart of Segovia just off Mayor Plaza

I actually stayed one night at the beginning of my work trip, traveled to Bilboa and its surrounds to work and then made a second reservation to stay one more night a few days later rather than staying in Madrid. In fact, if you go to Madrid, make it a point to go stay here for a day or two to jump into some Roman and Medieval history at the same time. Easy to so by fast train.

It is a hilly (mountainous) area so be prepared to walk some hills around the village.

Perfect location...tough to catch some zzz's

We stayed here for two nights in October 2013. I had lived in Segovia for a semester in college and knew the location would be great! The hotel is located right off the Plaza Mayor, along Calle Juan Bravo. This means that you are within 10 minutes walking to the Aqueduct, the Cathedral, and the Alcazar. The hotel staff was helpful and attentive. Here are a few things to consider: PROS- location, location, location. Also, it's very quiet. CONS- the mattresses are extremely hard, so if you have trouble sleeping or back issues, this would be a big issue. Also, note that parking in general is a pain in Segovia and this place is not easily accessible by car. Segovia is located in very mountainous country, so make sure that you are comfortable walking at steep inclines if you choose this place. Overall, I would recommend this for a budget-friendly, great location to stay.

We had only two problems with this hotel: the room was very dark and the drunks from the Plaza Mayor made a lot of noise all night. (We didn't think to ask for a room not facing the street.) Bring a couple of lightbulbs -- it was almost too dark to read in the room. The front desk staff was fantastic -- very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nicely decorated and very historic. The room was spotless.

A very good hotel just a few steps from the Plaza Mayor. Our room had a large balcony with superb views of the cathedral and out over the walls to the surrounding country. We dined in the hotel, the quality of the food was good but the portion size was ridiculous and after the first course we scarcely had room for more. Breakfast looked meagre for the cost so we did not try it. The hotel is able to arrange underground parking outside the old walled city at a substantial discount.

Just off Segovia's main square in the old part of the town, which has lots of picturesque, narrow streets. The hotel is newly refurbed. They didn't have a family room available so we had 2 doubles, one very nice with a view down the street, the other was okay and had daylight but just looked at other bits of the hotel. Both rooms had modern, quiet aircon. We had breakfast at the pastelaria between the hotel and the main square - excellent value at 2 Euros for a coffee and pastry. We had dinner one night at the hotel's restaurant (or rather the Tapas Bar part of the restaurant) which was probably the best meal we had in 5 nights in Spain.

In the heart of Segovia

The Casa Mudejar in Segovia was charming--great atmosphere, great location. We ate dinner in the dining room there which featured the roast suckling pig, a local specialty, and also traditional Sephardic cuisine. People trying to drive to Casa Mudejar should know that the central location, right off the Plaza Major, means that one must ascend through a confusing series of narrow, medieval streets to get to the hotel -- no mean feat in a minivan, drop one's bags and then park elsewhere and walk back. It will be a nice walk but the drive is somewhat nerve wracking although one immediately gets flavor of the ancient city. Our only other complaint is that our room, while nicely appointed, had some kind of perpetual knocking noise during the night, the source of which we could not locate. Had we been less exhausted from a long day of driving, we would have investigated this with the front desk. The staff was very helpful and might have been able to remedy the problem. As it was, we didn't sleep so well. I would stay at the Casa Mudejar again, in a different room.

Excellent location, friendly staff and clean rooms.

However, the listing says the rooms are \"soundproofed\" and they most definitely are not. Also, there is air conditioning but it is controlled by the front desk, so you aren't able to keep the temperature exactly as you'd like it.
