My wife suffers from allergies we asked for a airfilter and were told my manager on desk not part of our service. Paid $240 / night for 7 nights and not one commentary breakfast. Asked to clean very dirty air-conditioning vents. They would look into it. Have stayed 4 times over the years but might look elsewhere now. The staff are mostly helpful

My preferred hotel to stay in when in Alice for business. Clean with comfortable bed, quiet and spacious room. Always been able to get a park behind the secure gates (at other hotels I’ve not been able to park onsite as car park full). I’ve encountered mould issues at several other hotels so relieve not have had issue here. You get your steps up with the room located a distance from reception and the car park, for me that’s a positive to get more exercise
Only negative - This stay the mini bar froze the food I placed in it and the dial was broken so couldn’t fix.
Oh and bonus to find a peacock roosting as I exited early one morning!

The room was ok. The staff was adequate but english was not there first language. The breakfast buffet i had to explain what an over hard egg was. If you went on a tour and wanted to take snacks with you they could not accommodate as they said they did not have a a take licence. For a Hilton franchise i found that should change. Otherwise my stsy was ok

Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful but we did have an issue with our room not being serviced for our second and third days

Lovely property, but without a car we were trapped. It’s away from the town center with no public transport after 6PM. The desk staff didn’t recommend a taxi and there are no Ubers. The restaurant in the hotel was expensive, in my opinion. Breakfast was $38 per person. Fortunately, the public bus stop is just outside and is free transportation to town beginning at 7:45AM, but ends at 6:00 PM. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk into town.

The staff really made every attempt to make you feel welcome. Always greeting you with a hello or good morning. The room was cozy, only double beds not Queen size. We found sharing one a bit squished.
The room was clean and comfortable.
My only negative was when I went for a swim the pool had a lot of mould in the grout. Especially on the stairs.
would recommend Saltbush restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Another great hotel. I arrive in Alice Springs late and left early in the morning. I thought they had an airport shuttle but no and receptionist (she), was vague on information. I ended up catching a taxi which one of male person at the desk helped me out. It was pretty pricey. I think the reception needed more staff.

There was not enough milk and sugar for a second cuppa tea this morning! And there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water in my little bar fridge. I literally paid big bucks for a luxurious king bed in a rather sterile ambience room. The hospitality level certainly met international standards but it completely missed the mark as far as meeting Australian outback hospitality standards. The staff were quick but not efficient and their directions to the rooms were minimal at best.

Good hotel in a unique place

The hotel was recommended to us as being safe and quiet by a family member. Indeed, the service was good, it has a restaurant (although besides having a coffee, we did not use it ). A pool is a nice feature in the 40 degree Celsius weather. We came mainly to visit Uluru but ended up regretting not staying in Alice Springs longer. Such a unique place especially for us from the True North. The very unique landscape, a little kangaroo in the nearby park trying to hide in mama's pouch that he definitely outgrew. Unforgettable....

Lots of parking available if you have a car. There was a resident peacock which was nice to see and say hello to every morning/evening. The hotel is massive so it takes a few twists and turns to get to your room but nothing wrong there. The view is nice from the rooms and courtyard is good to walk around in - breakfast was excellent every morning.

My shower did not work- the button to change water from coming out of spout into bath to water coming out of shower was broken. I reported after 1st night but it was not fixed so had to have a bath again 2nd night. No biggy but communication re why it couldn’t be fixed would have been good.

Disappointing that evening TV entertainment was very limited with cost involved to watch a movie. I happened to connect my device to watch Netflix but after 1 hour it expired from hotel policy. Good service and restaurants; prime location

Our room was very comfortable, and we had two very good dinners at the Australian-style restaurant. We enjoyed sitting on the patio around sunset and watching the birds and rabbits. Check-in did not go smoothly at all. Although our room was pre-paid, the hotel could not locate our reservation when we arrived. It took about two hours to get everything straightened out. Hotels.com staff on the phone was excellent in solving the issue and we don't think at fault in any way. The desk staff was also kind and helpful in finding the reservation. Still, this lost reservation cost us a couple hours of our sightseeing time and was not the desired way to arrive after a long flight. The dinners at the
Saltbush restaurant were great and service there was excellent. The pool looked beautiful, and I wished we had time to enjoy it. There is little to no concierge or tourist information available at the hotel. Still, the town is relatively small and we were able to use taxis to get around and explore it easily enough. We loved Alice Springs and the Hilton seems like one of the best choices available.

I got an upgrade to a mountain view room which was nice. The view wasn’t that spectacular though. Faced mostly onto the golf driving range.

A Cold Stay

I was at the Double Tree for about 10 days and sadly left a little underwhelmed with my experience. The facility is nice enough with a rather grand lobby which is home to two restaurants and a nice lounge area. The gym is fairly decent but unfortunately it requires you to leave the bldg to access it. The laundry facility is very convenient if you there for an extended stay but sadly two of the dryers weren't working which is a majoy inconvenience considering the laundry room was in heavy use resulting in wait times for a dryer unless you went early in the morning or late at night. The major letdowns were the heat not working in the room during my winter stay and soap suds from the shower coming up from the floor drain in the bathroom. I brought the heating issue to the front desk and it seemed that someone just came to the room and set the thermostat to 38 degrees which did absolutely nothing. On the plus side the staff was very nice and there are a couple restaurants and a casino within close walking distance. Unless you're a Hilton member I would recommend exploring the hotel by the casino on your next visit to the ASP.

The hotel is dated even though renovations had been done recently. The bathroom had a new toilet, sink, taps; however, the tiling should have also been renovated and the bath tub removed for a walk in shower. I just can't understand why you would do half the job?
At the main entrance of the hotel there was a peddler sitting on the sidewalk selling goods while another was standing in the bushes.
The car park was frustrating as it was gated, but the swipe card never worked. This is a 3 star hotel at best.

The issue was we had no AC and it was too hot in the room to sleep. Reported issue the first morning, but no one came to fix it. Lucky the weather turned cooler.

We both had an amazing time for the time spent staying in Alice Springs. Staff were very friendly and always very attentive.

Loved the room, the only thing i would complain about would be the lack of cold drinking water in the fridge, there was none.

Loved the breakfast and food selection. Will be back again.
