The hotel manger asked for $350 cash to hold in case of damages to the room. Upon check out he went through the room and found an empty soda bottle and a white croc sandal under the bed, neither of which were the guests, but took $50 from the cash held for the room because garbage was left. The room was $210 per night, I would expect this to include cleaning the room and removing garbage. He was handing out garbage bag to other guest making them clean their own rooms before leaving. All guests happen to also be Indigenous. I am not Indigenous and never in my well over 1000 stays in hotels have ever encountered this situation. In fact if something was left i would probably be contacted not charged $50. Don't stay here and support such racists behaviour. I will be taking this further.

Room lights not working, bedside lamps not working, black mould in the bathroom, cleanliness was average. Motel was under renovation and noisy throughout the day and night, and the bathroom had no exhaust so had to open the window or it would get full of steam to the point of not being able to breathe if taking a shower.

We arrived shortly after 5pm and I called the number at the reception. The guy came past me no word got the envelope from a Tresor and passed it to me no explanation where the room is nothing. Almost said sorry for disturbing him. The room is spacious but in a lousy condition (toilet was leaking/ fridge was partially damaged aso)
So if you stay for one night it’s maybe okay but don’t expect room service if you stay longer

The staff at Elkira Court are this motel's best asset. Room was adequate, but appears to be halfway through being renovated - however the spaciousness of the room, bathroom and balcony made up for this. A tree outside the balcony door made the room feel lovely and private.
I felt secure during my 7 day stay.

I was horrified when I first saw this room. I didn't expect luxury but I didn't expect something that bad. It was nothing like the picture advertising it. The room was dirty and dingy, the bed cover had stains, the tile floor was chipped and badly worn, the paint job was old a dirty, all the cabinetry had swollen edges- as if it had been wet and there was no chain on the door. I could never have stayed in that room. I went straight back to reception and asked if I could upgrade -giving them a chance to redeem themselves and was told I couldn't. I told him that the room was bloody awful and he said the he was sorry and closed the door on me. I left and paid another fee for a room that was presentable elsewhere.
You can hardly check these rooms in advance so 24hr cancellation policy is fraud. hotel.com should be ashamed having this place on their books. SO disappointing!

I liked the convenience and situation of motel, because of renovations, they are trying hard to update the place, I guess Id like a microwave in dulux room, and more utensils, but maybe that's what you'd find in the super deluxe room

Room was great. Office staff were good, friendly. I only stayed 2 nights my room got tended to on the 2nd morning but they did not wipe the spa bath out. Which I would have liked to be done, just a wipe as i had a bath and it left a ring around the bath. They did not fill the coffee up either. They only wiped my toilet and pulled my bed sheet up. But I had no do not disturb sign for my door. As I didnt really need a service. So I thought it was good they did check room daily.

Three nights was enough. It was noisy at times in the front and back. There was no breakfast. The washer was broken and it sounded like it wouldn’t be fixed anytime soon but at least the laundromat was a few minutes walk. The shower head had gunk on it and a dead moth was my shower companion. I did like the flow and constant temperature of the shower. Room was spacious and clean. Easy to walk around the city core.

I didn't like how the second carpark was not accessible without the help of the staff to open it. That being said, the staff were very helpful in opening it. The price was good and the spacious and well fitted. Will stay there again.

Motel was cheap and you get what you pay for. We couldn't find the switch for the main light until the next morning so made do with the bathroom light and 2 very dim bedside lights. One plug socket didn't work so we had to unplug the fridge to charge our devices as the only other sockets were at floor level, too low to be able to plug usb under, or in the bathroom. The room was comfy with a double size bed and a single. There was a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. It was adequate but a little tired looking. Water was nice and hot for the shower. The walls must be thin, we could hear the family in the next room and their battle to get their toddler to sleep!

Short stay but I'll be back.

A short stay to resolve travel issues (my car!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and had a comfy bed, good aircon and a great shower. Generally an older place that needs some TLC for the little bits of maintenance to spruce it up but nothing to stop me having a safe, relaxing and quiet stay. The BBQ was convenient and the pool looked good (weather was too chilly to test!). The room was limited to tea/coffee making only (not that unusual) though - for my stay - a toaster or microwave would have been good, though shopping markets and many eateries are all very close. I'll be staying again in a couple of weeks with no hesitation.

Some updates to the room, outside seating area nice, very close to all shops, restaurants etc. Early check in unavailable and then when we arrived after advised check in time, reception still had to go see if our room was ready. Room has small fridge, tea/coffee, milk. Plus plates/cutlery if eating in room. Large spa excellent but bathroom vanity needs updating (water damaged). Overall good for the price paid.

There is a range of accomodation options here. On this occasion had a carpark facing ground floor room so any nighttime conversations, engine noise and car door noise transmitted easily to the room. It was fine for me so this is not a gripe. More an advisory for the light sleeper travelling without a vehicle so not needing such super easy access to a carpark, ask for an upper floor room facing an inner courtyard if available.

The Motel is conveniently located in town, a short walk to Coles and Woolworths, as well as the main mall in town where there are cafes and art shops. The Motel itself is clean but basic. The gates are shut at night however from my room you could hear them being open/shut by other guests. It felt safe. Unfortunately, both times I stayed here, the shower only had cold water in the morning (it had hot water at night).

I now realise that this is a budget stopover (especially the downstairs section) but it could do with a makeover. No ice cube trays, grotty, tiny plastic \"glasses\"

Upstairs on our first night was considerably better and quite presentable. However that disastrous, ill lit stairwell (which was also damp when we arrived) presented a challenge of note for us three older people. I think that stairwell is a major hazard and also,(I suspect) illegal, It needs to be replaced with something user-friendly and I would appreciate your comments.

The staff member on duty that second night was very helpful.

The concrete in the community areas was quite dirty. The unit itself was not the cleanest with grime on the floor and some small cockroaches and ants causing problems. The hair dryer in the room was very noisy and on it's last legs. Also the exhaust fan in the bathroom was very noisy and about die.

Disliked the aboriginal people staying at motel. They were noisy and dirty and terrible disrespectful. Threw rubbish everywhere and brought back shopping trollers and just dumped them around motel grounds. At least 5 always there and never removed.
They left dirty babies nappies around pool and one night drinking and threw pool chairs and loungers into pool so no one could swim there. I felt unsafe. Bins on corridors always overflowing with rubbish. Outside tables with layers of dust made them unusable.
Rubbish lay on pathways. Some Workers very poor English.
Spa bath in my room black dirt stains.
I asked for it to be cleaned but worker had not a glue how to do this simple task.
Very sad as once a beautiful place.
Simple things like lollies spilt and lay outside my door while workers just walked past.
I eventually went out with bag and lifted the rubbish and sweets myself.
I felt those who vandalised the pool area should have been asked to leave immediately.

The room I booked was very dirty, tissues under the bed, dirty surfaces and had broken drawers, no towel rail in the bathroom. I asked to be moved to a better room which was cleaner, but we had no room cleaning in the three days we stayed there, no clean towels, bins emptied etc. Will definitely not be staying here again.

bathroom was very mouldy, had to settle for a less mouldy one, even though they said the bathrooms where brand new. staff was very unprofessional (barged into our room without knocking after giving another customer the same room key, the other customer walked into our room thinking it was empty due to lack of communication between staffs. staff questioned us about why we changed rooms in a very rude manner, also bugs on the bed. goodluck

To start with security gate lock did not operate properly, drain in shower kept blocking up some lights in the room did not work.They did replenish things in the room. The outside was very untidy with litter all around the place. The swimming pool was terrible,you could not swim in it. And so on. We stayed there two years ago and it wasn't too bad then , but I don't think we will stay there next time we are in Alice Springs

Where to start? The rooms are really poor and need extensive revamp. Paid for a Deluxe king, given a tiny horrible double. Curtains falling apart, paint falling off the homemade cupboard doors. Extremely noisy. Voices from outside all night sounded like they were in the room. I like to give honest opinions and unfortunately i think most people will regret staying here. The reviews have to be faked, not an 8, maybe 5 at very best

It was clean and bed comfy. Only cups jug and tea/coffee, no plates or cutlery to eat a takeaway meal. No folder about services available. Had trouble unlocking gate, male receptionist mumbled, hard to understand. Room we had definitely in need of
a serious upgrade. Laundry had two washing machines, one dryer - only one washing machine working dryer out of order!!!!!!!

Would we return??? PROBABLY NOT.

The bed was ok, the two dining chairs were wobbly and ripped, the waste bins in toilet and kitchen needed a scrub inside and out. Out the front of hotel there were bottles and cans and rubbish and leaf litter everywhere you walked. Best location for restaurants and shopping though. The spa was pretty good but I cleaned it before using it.

I paid for a deluxe twin bedroom, the pictures on the website was totally different to the room I got.
When I checked in my room, I noticed that the curtains are old and mouldy, the carpets are not vacuumed, the shower heads are full of grime and the room was full of dust. There is absolutely no ventilation. I tried opening the sliding door so that fresh air can come in but then I noticed that the sliding door did not lock because it was broken (the manager just said it’s because it’s old). Upon my request, the manager gave me another room but also in that room I was coughing the whole two nights I stayed there because it’s roughly the same condition as my previous room.

Security gates were a joke with people wandering through the facilities at 3am yelling and shouting at each other.
Stay elsewhere if you want a peaceful sleep.
As a single female traveler I didn’t feel safe.

It was pretty bad. First, upon my arrival when entering the room and for my surprise, it was not clean. The used bed sheets and used towels of the previous guest were ther and on the floor. The room was all dirty and nasty. Because it was a late arrival, management was closed. I called them and after 20 min they came and cagnge my room for another one. Second of all, I had to kill several roaches every night suring my 3 nights there. Not funny at all. Lastly, When checking out the last day, management was closed at 8am even when they were supposed to be open. Of course they were late. Do not stay in this place. There are more and better options in Alice Springs.

Just your run of the mill three star motel. No balcony for the room I had even though it was their second most expensive room. Reception staff pretty ordinary, not cheerful. Bed not overly comfortable. Don't expect a hot shower after 8am...
Cheaper than most in Alice and value for that price.
