Property was being refurbished while we stayed. The place looked like a building site.We were the only guests and basically locked ourselves in behind electric entry and exit gates.We didn't feel safe during the night and the area wasn't very nice.
The lady on reception was nice but I wouldn't advise anyone to book there until the refurb is finished

Stayed in room 8. Was an absolutely lovely room to crash in after a long day. FYI the shower has a square knob on it that you can turn to adjust what shower head you wish to use as there is 2 heads.the management there was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Was pleasantly surprised. Great room looks brand new . Just need darker block out curtains as very light in morning. Loved the communal kitchen I actually cooked myself bacon n eggs both mornings and made dinner one night. Quiet area than in town yet so close to town IGA supermarket down town. Really enjoyed bed was so comfy and lots of towels spare blankets and tea n coffe . I’ll be booking their again when I come to town in 3 mths .

Nancy, the receptionist, was friendly and helpful. It was very convenient to have a guest kitchen and laundry. The rooms were clean. At night the gate was locked and we needed a code to enter which made us feel secure that our rental car wouldnt get trashed or stolen. BUT, some of the light fittings and power points inte rooms were broken, and outside, its a building site.

Quiet stay within walking distance of town.

The motel is undergoing refurbishment at the moment which it needs. Our room was a bit tired and tatty with lightbulbs missing or too dim to be useful. The bathroom wasn't as clean as it could be, but does need updating. The location is in a quiet suburb, an easy 15 minute walk to town.

The motel room that time forgot

This what we found.

On first opening the door to our room we noticed damage as evidence of a break in attempt with a jemmy bar.

Then the musty air quality hit us.
It was getting cooler as evening approached so we tried the air con which was old and very noisy. The din took some getting used to but the stale dusty smell coming out of it due to filthy filter was something else.

The curtains are about 40 cm narrower than the window and don’t match anyway, so forget privacy.

Three power outlets are in dangerous broken condition. Some don’t work even if you are game enough to use them but make sure you don’t have wet hands.

The smoke alarm is ancient and a newer one has been removed so this is illegal.

Two of the lights are hanging off the wall.

The toilet is old and stained.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom is choked with dust

The grouting around the sink is missing or coming away and not hygienic

The towel rail bracket is broken

There are holes in the carpet

The main light fitting is filthy and contains bugs probably now extinct.

The kettle is also extinct. The light comes on but it has simply ceased to be.

Security gates weren't working until our last day and we got locked out, no code to open gates and no number to contact. Lucky a guest saw us and had a code. We weren't advised about code by reception.

While our room was quite spacious and quiet that was the end of positive attributes. The floor moved as we walked and the carpet was very shabby and stained. The bathroom was very ancient and battle scared beyond belief. There were cracks in the wall and a lot of evidence of flies being in the room over the years. This room was a shocker, the worst I've ever stayed in, and I'm not young. If I'd paid a low price to stay there then I'd accept that I got what I paid for but this was not the case. The hotel is being renovated but they certainly should not be renting this room out!

My only comment about what could be improved was the parking situation. Other guests could be encouraged to park so there is enough room for everyone, instead of taking up two or three potential parking spots which forced us onto the road.

If the cyclone fencing and broken windows didn't put us off on the way in, the carpet stains of bodily fluids and dirty bathroom did. After this we couldn't stay here and have had no communication from them after dropping the key back and complaining. Pictures online are decieving and would absolutely NOT recommended.

Under renovation at the moment. Construction equiptment filled the whole place. The unit we were given was filthy, reeked of cigarette smoke, carpet covered in black stains, bathroom awful, benches unclean, beds very old and front door handle very loose! We said we could not stay here and when I asked, was told I could have our money refunded. Apparently this is a common occurence. No wonder ! Accommodation at this place should be on hold until renovations are complete as the few units left are unacceptable for anyone !

It's a bit rundown, but clean, and extensive renovations have commenced. Staff were very friendly and helpful - my room didn't have a toaster or an iron, but these were happily supplied on request. I asked about the Parrtjima festival and details of how to get there were promptly printed. When a bus arrived early to pick me up for a camel ride, they were assisted to find me in my room. The room was big with lovely morning sun. I had a great 9 day stay.

I was staying more than 10 days and she charged me security deposit and said she will refund it when I will check out. on the day of check out I was leaving early morning so she said she will refund at 9 am when reception office will be open. On the second day she was not there and she has not refund even today.

The property was falsley advertized. The pictures on the web are totally different than it actually is. No room maintenance whatsoever. One cup for coffee...one towel per guest and the carpets are filthy. The property advertised that breakfast was included, but nothing was there but an empty camp like kitchen. My daughter has multiple bug bites from the bed. I do not recommend this property at all.

Awful - toilet wasn't cleaned properly, hair on the shower floor and all over the left over soap, bathroom door slider didn't work and could not be closed for privacy, the sink tap drips, multitude of food crumbs and mould all over the fridge seal, the carpet is incredibly stained and had so much gum and other hard substances stuck to it we had to wear shoes the whole time, the kettle had a shocking amount of limescale build up which isn't a health issue as such but the rust spots chipping off would be, the bedding consisted of two sheets and there were no spare blankets anywhere so it was uncomfortably cold at night.

Arrived at approx 3.45pm, had been advised via sms that the reception was closed mid afternoon, but a car gate code given and keys were supposed to be in a key box. The gate code was wrong no keys were found however a receptionist came and she then advised the room was not ready despite it is advertised available from 2 pm.Condition of the place has no resemblance to photos on Hotel.com web page and can only be described as disappointing and well below what you expect of budget accommodation. Rubbish everywhere on the grounds and the room in desperate need of maintenance! The only positive to say is that the receptionist/manager was friendly and apologetic, she appeared to be the one that had to do it all and was clearly struggling.

Nice staff and clean but the rooms are tired and the property grounds are quite noisy. I had people walking past my door on a gravelling path at all hours of the night. I also had someone knocking loudly on my door at midnight looking for family to stay with. You need a car as location is quite far from town and do not recommend walking or cycling at night.
