It is a super nice hotel. Get a bus to the center and return to the hotel confident that it is clean and if you want to eat, the h9tel has a very good restaurant.

Disappointed. Moto parking at 15 Euros was absurd. Breakfast was promised at 7 am. After waiting 10 mind was told it was st 8 am. Was only offered a coffee and pastry to be eaten in the lobby. Staff was very unaccommodating. Wont go back or recommend.

Very disappointed with the whole experience at this hotel. The positive was the room was a decent size and you could see the sea between the tower blocks. Breakfast was ok but there are much better and cheaper places to eat nearby.

Finally, the hotel tried to overcharge us for breakfasts we never had. There are loads of places to stay in Cadiz, I’d not come back here and I suggest you look for somewhere less overpriced and more caring of its guests.

Tuve que hacer Pilates en el suelo de la habitación por lo que tuve que apartar cama supletoria y algún otro accesorio donde pude ver que la limpieza del suelo de la habitación era mejorable.

Stayed here two nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas day.Overall good base for exploring Cadiz, but air conditioning turned off in winter, leaving room really stuffy and airless, opening window led to other problems as road really noisy through night leading to terrible sleep.
Breakfast good but evening meals to be avoided- my fish was overcooked with tasteless sauce, partner's veggie noodle dish also tasteless.
Underground parking is far better value than public car park at €15 a day but it is accessed by a single car lift which is not for the faint hearted as it is only inches bigger than a medium sized car.

Both Expedia and hotel customer service are poor, there general attitude towards welfare of there customers is shamful , I booked this hotel through Expedia, through a mistake on Expedias side it booked wrong dates, I called straight away after booking confirmation and they wouldn't change or refund, it resulted in myself and my daughter having to spend the night in our car in Cadiz, it's like having a conversation with robots programmed to say the same thing.

Staff great, location close enough to the Local beach, but that’s about it, not a great area overall. Hotel is old and the air conditioning was awful, complained twice, moved room once but despite a slight improvement it turned off for 6 hours during the night and only brought the temp down to 24C when it did work. Need complete refurb.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was centrally located and everything was within walking distance. We are walkers so 1-2 miles is not a big deal for us. The room was clean and spacious especially the bathroom. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Stylish Barcelo hotel in a good position: five minutes walk to the glorious beach; 20-minute walk or five-minute cheap bus ride into the centre. Extremely good breakfast and a good-value-for-money set menu lunch and dinner. The charming staff made this an all-round success.

We liked this hotel and would stay here again. The room is well laid out. Great ocean view from the sixth floor or higher, and a nice bathroom with no tub, just a shower. Thus, no problem getting over the walls of the tub. The new pine floor is nice, like something you would see in Scandinavia. The hotel has a pretty good restaurant and with a Menu del Dia special for 9E, and optional outdoor seating on the sidewalk. The hotel is on Avenida Andalucia, which is the main street in Cadiz. You are two blocks from a beautiful and expansive beach. Lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. The equipment in the rooms is very modern, but there are no instructions on how to use it, such as the shower hardware. Ask for a high up, corner room for the best view.

Very modern hotel with good facilities. The rooms were well equipped but the decore was very dark and for me unappealing. If you like contemporary minimalism this could be for you, but for more homeliness try somewhere else. The staff were friendly and professional.

The room was a fairly good size although I did think that it could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly.
I asked for an iron and it arrived to the room quickly.
There were some toiletries available which were also handy.
The location was good and just a short 10 minutes walk to the beach. If visiting Cadiz again I would consider this hotel.

We had a 10 day stay at the Barcelo Cadiz which is close to thebeach and some excellent restaurants- the best by far was La Mirilla on the beach front. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful which made a big positive impact on our stay

Warm Nights in Spring Time without A/C
All hotel employees were courteous, helpfull and provided and excellent service and support everytime it was requested. However, I can not understand why a good hotel will not provide air conditioning service, in a city in which the temperature in spring time is mostly in the 80's F.

A nice hotel, pretty removed from downtown
We liked the Barcelo Cadiz (they did upgrade our room at no cost upon arrival which was a big plus!) but I think if we were to come back to Cadiz it would be fun to stay within the walled part of the city. As it was, the hotel is a bit removed from downtown and you either need to take a bus into downtown or a fairly long, unexciting walk. There is a fantastic little Cerveceria a few doors down though that serves an amazing, incredibly cheap breakfast!

I was very pleased, particularly with our view of the beach. The hotel is new and it is apparent that it was finished around the end of the economic crisis (great double glass windows not installed with soundproofing, small TV in a spot obviously designed for a huge flat screen). That said, it's a great hotel in an excellent location and I would definately stay here again.

Belle hôtel, belle chambre mais un gros bémol: les fenêtres sont anciennes ( aluminium ) et fermées très très mal. J’ai eut la chambre 206 du côté rue et on entendait le bruit de la circulation et même des gens qui parlaient dans la rue. On nous a changé de chambre pour la 301 ( côté intérieur) et même souci car il y avait un fort vent.
Conclusion: si vous voulez du silence pour dormir, venez avec vos boules kiess!!!!!

El hotel realmente está muy bien posicionado, me gusto mucho el recibimiento con el personal de carpeta, el desayuno que lo tenia incluido muy clásico, siempre lo mismo con las mismas variaciones nada en espécialo el café realmente muy malo pero aún así el personal de servicio te hacía sentir muy satisfecho, el hotel como tal nada que ver con un hotel 4 estrella, piensonwuenuna categoría no solo lo da el servicio oh el personal de servicio si no más bien la instalación, siempre tuvimos el lavado tupido donde su acumulaba mucha agua cada vez que lo utilizábamos, los pasa juntas estaban despegados, siempre nos encontrábamos cabellos de mujer en todo el baño a pesar que encontramos un buen servicio en la limpieza y en el cambio de la ropa de cama y fe baño realmente fue muy buena, aún así en el baño s encuentra mucho moho en las ranuras de las losas, en fin todo muy bien pero no creo sea un hotel 4 estrella aunque el precio si lo tiene como tal. Por lo demás todo maravilloso

No entiendo pagar casi 200€/noche y no tener ni una botella de agua en la habitación. Eso si tienes para hacerte un té, pero no tienes agua. La noche del parking nos dijeron 15€/noche y al pagar nos dicen que eso era solo la primera noche, las otras dos 25€/noche.
