First there are more rooms than parking spots so someone will need to park on the streets. I reached out to the hose about street parking rules but the host never replied back. The place needs alot of maintenance. The floor was broken in the bathroom, and I stubbed my toes. The tiles were also cracked. The room was also extremely cold. There were space heater in the room but it was really noisy and did not work well. Lastly, the host needs to significantly improve their communication. The entire street that the hotel was on was closed due to the Calgary marathon the next day. I only found out at 6 in the morning because I went out to my car and saw people blocking the street for the marathon. I had to rush and pack up my things in the early dawn to get out of the street before it was completely closed off. I was lucky and was able to make it out but I would imagine some guests were stuck in the hotel for hours because the police officer told me that cars were off limits once the marathoners were nearby. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would strongly suggest that anyone planning to reserve this place rethink their decision.

First time staying here. It was very nice and reasonably comfortable. Never met any staff which was a first for me but access was fine. The bed was a very soft; too soft for my liking but I slept fine thankfully. The fireplace in the room was great and the bathroom and shower were perfect. Parking was a bit challenging at times but thankfully it worked out. One of the spots was taken up by a truck that was being worked on which made an already challenging situation for parking more so. It was nice being close to where I needed to go so that was great and one of the reasons I chose this location. Overall, things were good.

It would be helpful if the owners on the floor above could put felt floor protectors under the chair legs to prevent loud noise in the floor below when kitchen chairs are dragged across the floor.

Our stay was lovely! The room was nice and clean, and the location was great; great to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Anything you needed food/ amenities wise was only a short drive away, or you could easily Skip/ Instacart it if you don’t want to leave the room. The shower was incredible! Like a real spa experience. Bed was so comfortable.. we had an excellent sleep both nights. We would definitely return here :)

Great view of Bow River. Rooms are clean, cozy and very thoughtfully equipped.
Detailed instructions for check in made it an easy contactless check in process. There is a kitchen that is well stocked.
Highly recommended for those looking for a home like Boutique stay experience.

After looking at the room we choose not to stay. We accept the 200 dollar loss. Calling a small dank room with no ventilation and a bathroom down the hall to share with several other people a Luxury Room is simply dishonest.

The morning of the check-in day we received the welcome information to check-in while traveling to Calgary. When we went to the property it was a house about 3 km away from the property we had rented. It was not nestled along the river like the property we rented with a view of the rivers, hills and bridge from the back lawn. We had received no other communication about a change and could not reach them (we started reaching our to them at 4:30 and they said they were open until 7PM and just text or call- we did both). Eventually someone from the property where we had been placed texted us back saying we had been significantly upgraded from the deluxe King room at the beautiful place along the river to the small private house in town. There was no parking in front (the city had no parking signs all in front, but some parking down the street). The house was fine and also had a hot tub in the backyard (as did the facility which we rented). We had picked Along River Road because of the amazing location and view right on the river bank and the view at that property is stunning. Hotels.com was tried very had to determine what had happened and fix it and offered to move us (but at this point we had spent 3 hours trying to find out what was going on and were hungry and tired & did not want to have to move). The person from the property we had been relocated to offered to refund us or we could stay where we were. We have not had experiences like this with hotels.com or others.

Okay, city folk, listen up. Your options are limited in Calgary. Random Air BnB or boring hotel. But forget those two and stay here instead. We loved it.

Everyone gets their own entrance, own fireplace, hot tub, AC, shower, and toilet. What more could you ask for? We needed an iron and board and it appeared outside our door. There’s a hair dryer available. Umbrella to borrow. Coffee and tea,
a fridge, juice and yogurt. Room was clean, with a large, comfy bed, TV, and an overall romantic vibe. The view of the river in the backyard area was gorgeous. There were other people staying there bcs of the cars but we honestly never saw anyone except the gardener.

Calgary isn’t about the night scene (maybe bcs it’s still bright at 9 pm). It’s about relaxing in the great outdoors and this is the perfect place to do so.

We will be back to visit family again but so happy to find this lovely property. We would definitely book here again.

I selected Royal Queen Room and Country Garden Room for my travel with my wife and two daughters.
Royal Queen Room is on the second floor and shared a kitchen with another room located the second floor. Country Garden Room is on the grand floor and shared a kitchen with another room located the grand floor. The entrances were separate for the first and second floors.
I thought it was better to have chosen a room on the same floor.

I loved the sitting area/kitchen and the bedrooms were very spacious and felt luxurious! The neighbourhood is quiet and feels safe; walking distance to Safeway and other shops. Lots of snacks and variety of coffee in the kitchen!

Pros: Nice view of river stone's throw away. Upscale property, homey feel. Bed was very comfy, got a good sleep. Easy access by car.
Cons: felt we were not informed about shared living space. Room temp too low. Multiple suites; had to identify ours by trying access code on multiple doors. Not enough milk available for the breakfast.

A little suggestion.

We stayed at the room with separate but private bath room. But the switch between the tap and the shower head was broken and not replaced. Thus, no chance to use properly. It will be much convenient if it can be replaced soon. BTW, the description of the place should clearly mentioned that most of the listing are "sharing" area.

Not worth the money

Not advertised well. Check-in is a hassle, you have to make contact with the host because the site is unoccupied. Parking is small and very limited. It’s just a room in a shared space in an unoccupied home with a note that they monitor the outside shared spaces with cameras. Accessibility note for the room I had you had to go up 2 flights of stairs ( 1 outside and 1 in the shared common spaces). Breakfast is a few dried goods in the shared space. I would not stay here again and I would never recommend it.

First the positives: the garden and the view of the river were lovely. Also the communal areas were large with lots of amenities (even a pool table). The bedroom and bathroom were compact but perfectly adequate and the shower was good.
Slightly negative aspects: the bedding / mattress were past their best and the pillows were uncomfortable lumps of foam. The property is advertised as a B&B but it is a contactless property and the provisions left for breakfast were meagre. There were 3 rooms each for 2 people. There were yoghurts(1 each), cereals and fruit juice (small cartons) But only six individual slices of bread were left with a tiny portion of butter. When you are only having continental breakfast surely it is not unreasonable to want 2 slices of toast.
Having said that the property overall was good value for money. But I would have been willing to pay slightly more for a better breakfast.

Very convient location, walking distance to stores, movie theater close by, The place its self was super clean. We stayed in the Queen Room, had a nice deep jet tub and a steam shower, nice and homey, You share the kitchen space with other people staying in the other room, You'll want to take your morning coffee or tea out back and enjoy the view of the river. Under the stairs outside theres a coy pond and lots to look at!

Beautiful river view and nice neighborhood. The home is well kept, the bed we had was comfortable. The only thing we didn’t really like was our bathroom was over by the other two rooms and seemed a little disruptive to their privacy.
