Where do I begin? The most stunning view of the beautiful mountains from our terrace with jacuzzi for a romantic evening with a glass of wine, the room was beautiful and the bathroom gorgeous, very upscale. Sadly we only stayed two nights and wished we stayed much longer! Food was delicious and service excellent. We can’t wait to come back again! I would give it more than five stars if I could. You won’t be disappointed!

The service was excellent. The hotel staff was courteous, attentive, and always willing to offer assistance. The only inconvenience was at check out. The hotel’s credit card device had not been charged, so we had to wait a few minutes for the device to charge up. Even after charging up, the device would not read my credit card. The hotel had to manually charge my card, something I believe they could’ve done in the first place, especially since the taxi driver was outside waiting for us and we were in a hurry to get to the airport. If it weren’t for that, I would’ve given 5 stars. Overall, I enjoyed our stay and the magnificent view the hotel offers of the Cocora Valley. I’ll definitely stay again in the future. Thank you.

The view from our room was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. Delicious hot breakfast, served on a terrace that overlooks the Cocora Valley, priceless!!
walking distance to downtown and all the stores.Dont forget to visit Cafe Willys in downtown for an amazing food and coffee experience in Salento.

This was my second time at this location and the view it’s amazing. my only recommendation would be to work on your breakfast options. I had my regular typical breakfast, but didn’t really like it. I also ordered pancakes and they were not good at all.

Excellent stay with an amazing view. The location is perfect because it has the best of both worlds-right in the town, walking dustance to all of the shops and restaurants, but situated at the perfect vantage point to enjoy the gorgeous Corcora Valley. The breakfast was also really good.

Room not as advertised

The first photo is a screen shot of how the view from our room is advertised. The second is a photo of the actual view. If, like us, you were imagining lying in bed or the hammock looking out the window, or having a class of wine and enjoying the view, you won't be able to do those things unless you're comfortable with everyone on the patio seeing directly into your room.
It was very awkward, and we were basically never able to have the blinds open.
The third photo is what the room looks like when you take the view out of the equation. If was quite dumpy with Motel 6 vibes.
Additionally, because breakfast is served on the patio, the room is very noisy as you can hear every conversation happening at every table. Even worse, if it rains the breakfast is served directly below our room and is even noisier.
The hotel itself is nice, and I suspect if we'd had a different room we would have had a different experience.
The included breakfast was good and the patio was a lovely place to eat breakfast and finally get to enjoy that view. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I just wouldn't recommend booking that buena vista room. It's not so buena, and not worth the price!
Other rooms (or other hotels) would have a comparable view without the awkwardness, or save some $ and get a room without a view and go sit on the patio!

TLDR: very poor value + the hotel is becoming run down.

Our main complaints: very poor wifi, paper thin walls, pooling water in the bathrooms, hot water not working, bugs in food (details below). Our guess is this place got Instagram famous and stopped caring. We stayed at other hotels in Salento that have equally stunning views and are a much better value.

We stayed here in early June 2025 for four nights (2 in a basic room and 2 in the junior suite with Jacuzzi).

I'll start with our biggest issue, which was the hot water not working. We did a two day trek and booked a room with a Jacuzzi on the day we got back. We were looking forward to showering (for obvious reasons) and relaxing our in the Jacuzzi after a couple of nights in the mountains. No hot water for the first day. The friendly staff tried to fix it but couldn't. The next day it was fixed, and we asked the hotel if they could do anything to accommodate us. They kept making us talk to other hotel staff and giving us the run around. Finally, they said that of course they would do something, and late on our last day they said that the water was fixed, so there was no problem (essentially, there was no longer a problem, so they had done something). We explicitly asked for a partial refund or discount, and they said the manager would talk to us in the morning of check out, which he never did. We asked a fourth time and were told that they would not do anything, and it was their policy not to give any partial refund

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. I upgraded to the presidential suite, which was amazing. Although it was more expensive than I was expecting to pay. I really enjoyed my time there. It was worth it! The views are amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable. I felt like I was in luxury. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to splurge. The staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn’t ask for more. The breakfast was amazing. A wonderful visit all in all.

Perhaps the nicest or one of the nicest properties in Salento. We splurged a bit by Colombian standards and booked the “Balcony of Cocora” room. Perfect choice for us. We didn’t realize this when booking but it’s on the top floor which gives the best view. Recommend higher up for best views.

The property is centrally located within easy walking distance to whatever you may want/need.

Breakfast was good and a great way to start our day. Many hot choices and large portions.

The rooms do not have heat which we discovered has been typical of everywhere we’ve stayed in Colombia. They provide blankets so sleeping is fine but mornings can be chilly especially after you shower. Pack accordingly for nts walking to dinner, early mornings etc.

They pre arranged all our shuttles for us:

Pereira airport to Santa Rosa Carbal Hot Springs

Hot Springs to Mirador Cocora

Miradora to Pereira airport

Was sooo nice to have all this arranged before we departed for our trip. Their communication during the planning of the entire trip and while we were traveling was superb! All shuttles were early! It was a flawless experience and big piece of mind!

The favorite place we stayed dur our 12 day Colombia. Adventure!

The staff here is incredible- so helpful with advice or any questions you have! They even helped exchange money when i ran low on cash. The view is amazing from the eating platform to a room with a balcony. I enjoyed the Jacuzzi, especially after a long hike through the valley. The only drawback is the hot water would turn off at night so I couldn't enjoy the warm Jacuzzi to its fullest.

Durante nuestra reciente estancia en este hotel, quedamos impresionados por su exterior. El paisaje y la vista son realmente espectaculares, proporcionando un entorno tranquilo y hermoso que nos permitió relajarnos y disfrutar de la naturaleza.

Sin embargo, la habitación no cumplió con nuestras expectativas. Encontramos que necesitaba algunas mejoras para estar a la altura del maravilloso entorno. Además, las toallas estaban algo desgastadas y deberían actualizarse para ofrecer una experiencia más cómoda y agradable a los huéspedes.

En cuanto al desayuno y el servicio, ambos fueron excelentes. El personal fue amable y atento, y la calidad del desayuno superó nuestras expectativas, con una buena variedad y frescura.

En general, la belleza del exterior y la vista son aspectos destacados, y el excelente desayuno y servicio compensan en gran medida las áreas que necesitan mejoras.

Our second stay here, and it’s great. The rooms are clean and simple. Make sure to pick on with a view, as this hotel is at the top of the hill and has amazing scenery. Staff super helpful, safe parking, and a good breakfast. 5 minute walk into town or to the mirador. Easy 20 minute car or jeep ride to Valle de Cócora or the coffee plantations.

WiFi was strong, but unfortuantely didnt connect in the room and so the only reason it gets a 4* and not 5. It did connect on the balcony. Would stay again.
