It was a lovely stay. The hotel room was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus a brilliant sea view, the hotel was well placed, clean and very smart. The pool and jacuzzi was sadly closed in the middle of our stay but staff arranged for us to go and use their sister hotels pool and jacuzzi which was even better! The staff were great, welcome drinks and a little gift to leave with. Breakfast was very nice with a huge amount of choice too. I would very much stay here again if I visited Madiera.

The staff was wonderful and welcoming with so much information to all of my questions while checking-in with a lovely welcome drink.

We were super impressed with the breakfast serving freshly made waffles and pancakes.

The ocean view from our room was amazing!

We were also very impressed at how late the amenities stayed open which was fantastic after a long day of hiking.

We loved staying at the Aqua Natura Bay in Porto Moniz. The infinity pool has an spectacular view of the North side of the island. Rooms were clean, beds and pillow were comfy. Delicious breakfast included. The only thing I would like to point out is the parking limitation. However, they offered to pay for parking outside the hotel property. This property is right across from the aquarium and one of the natural pools. I am definitely planning to stay here next time I visit the Northwest side of Madeira.

Property was beautiful and clean. The staff and food were wonderful. Had a great free breakfast each morning. The beds we extremely hard, but provided plenty of linen options to try and assist.
Location was beautiful. Had a great day just explorijg Porto Moniz, then explored the Coast - each town was only a 20ish minute drive to the next, then an hour back. Enjoyed having this as our first exploring location.

Perfect location and view, friendly helpful staff. Good amenities and restaurant. Really liked that you book the sauna just for you each time.
The only negative was parking. Not enough, whats there is filled all day and evening with day tourists to the pools so on returning to the hotel in an evening we had to park elsewhere and then go out last thing and move the car if a space had freed up to save getting a fine in the morning.

Very basic hotel. Terrible food ( frozen veggies), waiter had no clue and tried to cover the bad quality food instead of recognizing it which make it double worst. Sauna was cold during the time we scheduled. Towels are like sandpaper, no shampoo. Only good thing was the Mariana at the reception, else go somewhere else.

Ok, but not for us

First impressions were good. We were shown our room on the side of the hotel. I was disappointed it had a bath with shower over rather than walk in shower but the staff member was able to show us another room, but its location was not so good as it was right by the door to the outside pool. We decided to stay in the first. Room was small but clean. The air con is a portable freestanding type which is very very loud! The view from the balcony is beautiful. The usb points on one side of the bed did not work and the pillows were old and lumpy. I asked if they had firmer or basically any other pillows, they said they would ask. I heard no more. Breakfast was ok, basic. Pool area on the roof was nice. Towels good. Strangely the lift by the restaurant always smelled of fish! Carpark is very small, but we did always manage to find a space on the road. Overall, not for us, but choice is limited in that part of Madeira.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures - the pool is tiny. However, it’s not needed as the natural pools (which you get a free ticket through the hotel) are an absolute highlight. The staff were wonderful and the food was decent.

Beautiful entrance and smooth check in to the hotel. We wanted to quickly get out to the pools to take a dip. We dropped our things off in our room and just loved the look of the room and the fact that they had towels available in the room to use for the pools. We had great evening in the lava pools, rooftop pool and heated pool on level -1. We felt extra special and welcomed with a bottle of their blue champagne that was dropped off in our room while we were out. We had lovely massages by Leticia in the morning after a delicious breakfast provided by the hotel. Exceptional stay, thank you for a wonderful time. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Hotel staff were really friendly and made extra special touches as we were celebrating a special occasion. Rooms are spacious and have fantastic balconies overlooking the sea. Very clean and comfortable and lovely breakfast. The only one downside is the soundproofing is not that good so you can hear other guests however this also means you can hear the ocean which is nice. It did not affect our stay. We really enjoyed our holiday and would stay here again.

Badly organised hotel. Arrived 5:30pm and room wasn't ready. This wasn't a one off as there were 4 other couples waiting with same problem. We had to ask for things several times before anything was done. Generally staff very unenthusiastic with a few exceptions. Drinks were very highly priced compared to other places on island. Almost double in some cases. Food was average but again very expensive for quality. Bizarre and sexist artwork in toilets. I would avoid this hotel.

Had an excellent stay at this hotel! The facilities are robust, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The operation time for the swimming pool and sauna until 22:00 was convenient, providing a relaxing experience after a day of hiking. Overall, we really liked this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Well worth a stay

Such friendly and helpful staff. Really nice breakfast but elements of half board dinner let the meal down eg potato rosti turned out to be a frozen hash brown. The very cheap and nasty blue fizz that is meant as a bonus only leaves a bad taste in more ways than one. Overall a very good hotel for the money.

A beautiful hotel where every room has a sea view. Lots of facilities, room top infinity pool, gym, spa, hot tub - the list is long. The room was very clean and spacious with all mod cons and then some. The staff were great and the food was amazing. It is across the road from the volcano pools and a 5 minute walk from the bigger pool. A lovely place to stay and explore the beautiful island of Madeira.

The place is perfect. It's modern everywhere, it's comfortable, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast was great.

The minuses are:
Not much to eat outside, it's all low quality, so we tried to eat ouf of Porto Moniz, on the way back from our outdoor activities.
We took a superior room, which was amazing - but there are just 2 of them in the hotel and they are 114 214. We got 114, and the view from the room is the worst of the hotel - just of a parking lot and an ugly concrete platform around the sea. Just for you to know if you order this type of room.

Centrally located, modern facilities, excellent breakfast, all rooms have ocean views, friendly staff. A rental car can be booked at the hotel and is recommended to explore the island. However, bus transportation is available also. Great alternative to large hotels and a good spot to explore the Northern part of Madeira. The natural pools are great, but maybe closed in winter or during storms.

This hotel is in a stunning location which is very busy with day trippers but once they leave it’s beautiful. Room a good size with sea views. No walk in shower only over bath which is a pain. We eat in the restaurant all 3 nights. 1st night you couldn’t fault it excellent food and service. 2nd night more people and the staff could cope food still excellent. Last night it was a restricted menu and there was also a large group in. No extra staff to cope. Food not up to previous nights and the service non existent. Some people walked out having given up waiting to order. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as perfect for 2/3 nights away from Funchal.

From Manhattan to Porto Moritz, Madeira.

While visiting Madeira I decided to visit Porto Moritz and stayed at Aqua Natura. Fabulous stay experience, the staff was helpful, welcoming and eager to assist you. Hotel is located within walking distance to the volcanic natural pools where the ocean comes to rest. What a privileged site indeed.

Phenomenal. Memorable! Can’t say enough. From the espresso to plush robes/ towels and in room amenities, to the view, pool, sauna, steam room, housekeeping . I could go on and on. But the absolute highlight is the staff. I can NOT say enough about their hospitality , professionalism and kindness. For them alone I would come back. Also, if you have not rented a car, please take advantage of their taxi airport transfer. It will save you minimum 40 euros. Kindred vegetarians, they have amazing options. I rarely take advantage of buffet breakfast as I find them repetitive, especially as a herbivore lol. It’s incredible and they will go above and beyond to specialize for you. I have clinical insomnia and pain issues, the combination of the warmth of the staff, comfort of the accommodation and therapy of the natural pools gave me one of the most relaxing, rest filled 3 days of my life.

This is a delightful hotel - discreetly luxurious, without being pretentious. The rooms & public spaces would appear to have been recently refurbished & are attractively decorated with good facilities. The only bit that fell very slightly short was the sauna, which is a little cramped & the sauna shower, which was looking a bit worn. Other than that, it was all excellent!

Nice spacious room with comfortable bed and spectacular view from private balcony. Situated right next to the Madeira Aquarium. Only have a few negative comments about this place: not enough electrical outlets for charging phones and laptops, the furnishings are dated and a mini fridge would be nice. However, the buffet breakfast was bountiful and tasty and the attached restaurant served excellent dishes which were priced fairly and we're large in portion size. Alcohol drinks were also cheaper than surrounding competitors. The location is ideal with proximity to the natural salt water pools and local shops/restaurants. A unique amenity is the indoor pool, hot tub. sauna, and steam room in the basement. Friendly and courteous staff.

The hotel has the greatest view from all rooms. The sea and the coastline are just beautiful and you can see the sunrise from the room balcony. The hotel is right at the center of Porto Moniz and everything is accessible and at walkable distance. Perfect place to rest and reenergize!

The beds sink down like hammocks. Carpet and comforts are very old and stained. The room was cold. The heater did not work. They provided a portable heater but it took 1.5 hours to warm up the room. No wi-fi in the room. The jacuzzi was cold.

Will not stay in this hotel again, it misses some basic commodities like cattle, there is no cutlery, no water machine at the gym/ spa. Also the jacuzzi and steam room were smelly.
Also found the beds very uncomfortable and bouncy.
This hotel does not offer you anny flexibility in your booking, they will sharge you 2 nights if you need to make any change independently of any reason.
