Charming hotel fantastically located on the beachfront. Lots of restaurants in walkable distance. Most rooms don’t have ocean views. The rooms are a bit tired but comfortable. Pool and hot tub are great. Staff helpful and good breakfast. Overall great value for money if you would like a reasonably costed accommodation in Sao Vicente.

Pros: breakfast was great. Breakfast staff were awesome. Rooms clean.
Cons: cleaning staff never supplied us with toilet paper. Even the first day we had very little. Every day they would short us a towel. If you kept a dirty towel hanging and you didn’t place it on the floor they would not replace it. The Wi-Fi was not good at all. Their gym, haha let’s just say was there but it was completely empty.

Decent property, but the experience was frustrating. Check-in was confusing, we were incorrectly charged for a second person, and shortening my stay from two nights to one involved constant back-and-forth with Expedia and the front desk. Promised refunds were never issued. Staff service really made the difference here, and unfortunately, it fell short. Overall, not worth the price.

It's a 2* hotel!!!

Warning: this is not a 4-star hotel as listed on Hotels.com – it’s only a 2-star!

First of all, there’s no air conditioning – and in hot weather, that’s absolutely essential!

Also, even though it's not the hotel's fault, in June there were major roadworks happening right below the windows.
Work started before 8 a.m. and continued until late in the evening – and in some spots (very audible!), workers were even active at night to speed things up!
Earplugs were absolutely necessary to get any sleep.

Almost all the restaurants nearby were closed, likely due to the construction – they were inaccessible and everything was covered in dust, so no terrace dining either.

One thing we really appreciated, though, was the warm jacuzzi and the pool with a beautiful sunset view.

Breakfast was decent for a 2-star hotel.

But the price for what is in fact a 2-star was higher than what we paid for a 5-star in Funchal – €296 for 2 nights.
Had I known it wasn’t a true 4-star, I wouldn’t have booked at that price.

Nice place to stay outside of the hustle/bustle of Funchal, close to hikes. Construction on beachfront supposed to be done by early summer according to locals. Great restaurants, bar and bakery on the street for evening options, but a bit limited for longer stays. Hot tub was really nice set up, but had wildly ranging temperatures from 32 degrees Celsius to 47 at one point, so was often not really usable. Often opened our window as the room would get quite stuffy after a hot shower. Staff are lovey.

The hotel is small with a variety of terraces where you can relax, dip in a pool or hot tub. It has been thoughtfully decorated in a nautical themed pale blue and white. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable . The only thing lacking was air-con.

I really liked the space, the facilities and the service. The breakfast options are not too many, which is perfectly understandable given the size of the hotel.
The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are not very viable options in winter.
Its location next to the sea is excellent for those who like to listen to the sea in winter, like me. For those who prefer silence, this time of year will not be the best option.
This hotel has an excellent location for those who want to be further away from the hustle and bustle or to explore the north coast of the island in more detail.

We loved our stay here. The grounds were very well kept and the rooftop was such a lovely getaway spot. The guy who worked at bar was extremely helpful and always made sure the jacuzzi and pool was in perfect condition. Staff at the property were really upbeat and friendly, from arrival to departure. Fabulous location right beside the sea, could hear the waves on the beach all day. Great facilities including the pool and jacuzzi. The bed was super comfy and the shower was excellent. We had a fab view over the bay of Sao Vicente. Also great views of the cliffs to the west. Breakfast was excellent, we also used the restaurant on one occasion and the food was very good. Vegetarian lasagne and warm Tuna sushi rice. Also had a couple of cocktails in the sky high bar. Staff in bar and restaurant were great, although we had a language difficulty we used our phones and used a common language to get understood. The hotel has got some lovely outdoor spaces for relaxing. There are many eateries very close to the hotel and a super underneath. Some lovely walks around the town, some of the cliffs and mountains are spectacular. We recommend and will return. Cheers 😁😁

Excellent property! The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet village surrounded by amazing views. Feels like you’re in Santorini! Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The hotel has pricing for affordable rentals cars, much cheaper than what we paid. Definitely worth staying at if you want to be away from the city.

Selon certains commentaires, l'hôtel a eu un épisode de punaises de lit il y a 10 mois. Lors de notre séjour, nous n'avons pas eu de punaises mais une infestation de cafards (chambre et salle de bain) au milieu de la nuit. Nous avons tout de suite contacté le numéro de \"garde\" de l'hôtel (réception fermée à 1h du matin) afin de trouver une alternative et d'être remboursés. Nous avons finalement passé la nuit dans notre voiture jusqu'à l'ouverture de la réception. Le lendemain, la réceptionniste ne comprend pas pourquoi nous avions refusé une seconde chambre (en face de la première infestée...) et nous confirme que nous serons intégralement remboursés une fois qu'ils auront transmis l'information à Expédia. Elle précise également que nous pouvions tout de même profiter du petit déjeuner offert. Lors de mes échanges avec Expédia, Expédia m'assure que l'hôtel ne leur a pas répondu pour la confirmation de remboursement alors que l'hôtel me disait qu'Expédia ne répondait pas... Finalement, l'hôtel ne souhaitait plus nous rembourser les cafés pris, point sur lequel ils sont revenus après plusieurs échanges téléphoniques !! Nous notons tout de même que la prise en charge de la part d'Expédia était très réactive et sympathique, contrairement à celle de l'hôtel.
