I had to change rooms because the back door didn’t have a lock on it and wouldn’t closed. There was a giant gap on the top and bottom of the door. When I told the front desk lady, she said all the doors had them. After more pointless looking at other doors, she moved me to another room. I found out to late that there wasn’t toilet paper. Also, there was garbage on the floor, the heat wasn’t on nor was the room prepared and the head just took FOREVER to heat up. Possibly the worst way to bring in the New Year, I will NEVER stay at blue creek inn again.

The Inn was conveniently located right off Rt. 9 and close to an event we attended at the Waterfront. The property looked and smelled clean and the lobby was fairly updated. We appreciated the Keurig machine in the alcove. Parking was easy and plentiful. Our queen room was quite small, and the bathroom was difficult to move around in. The faucet for both the shower and sink were old, as was the physical key and chain lock on the door.

We had to arrive well after the lobby was to be closed, but the staff, Tina in particular, went above and beyond to make certain we could get checked in and were comfortable. Both she and the manager, Pam, were kind, warm and welcoming. This place is truly a little gem in one of the loveliest little towns New Jersey has to offer. Given the opportunity, we'd stay there again and again!

The inn is set back off the road, almost missed it! It is has a renovated lobby and check in area. Check in was fast and easy. We were on first floor so pulled around to the side right by our room. Overall, was clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay. The carpets and ceilings are older and do hold a little of that motel smell, a little smokey.
It was quiet all night, but in the AM lots of trucks were dropping off metal at the yard next to us so if you’re a light sleeper.

The check in was fine except I felt rushed. I always ask a lot of questions especially if I’m not from the area or never been to the property. Even when I called on the phone a few days before I was asking about the beaches in the area and I felt rushed. Give us the time of day please . We are spending a lot of $ to stay at the property especially in the summer and we are not familiar with the area. The bed was terrible. Probably need new ones! The bathroom was a vet tight space. Expected more spending $300 for 1 night.

The stay was nice and convenient for my daughter’s wedding. The only thing that was a problem was i am a handicapped person. The tub was a problem. The shower had no safety rails on the walls. The walls had large smooth tiles that made even trying to balance on the wall dangerous. The tub had a smooth bottom too. There was no traction treads in the tub for any one’s safety.

We picked this hotel on their reviews and the photos look nice. The beds are horrible. The pillows are horrible. If you don’t take your keys on the deck, you get locked out. The pool was very pleasant. It was a shock to pull up to the hotel though because it is behind a closed hotel, and behind a strip mall. There is a good brewery in the strip mall, but Jersey does not supply food at breweries. We asked the front desk where was a good place to eat? She recommended to one was to the left wasn’t sure the name one was to the right it started with a G no help at all. If you’re only spending one night it’s absolutely doable. Bring your own pillows and don’t expect a good sleep.

Very strange location in the back of a strip mall, surrounded by industrial recycling facility. Clearly an old motel that was refurbished to try to mask the oldness. Air fresheners all over & the outside balcony door would not lock or close properly. The mattress was by far part of the original motel. Was very uncomfortable with springs & no softness.

This is the only place to stay closest to my relatives in the area. Check-in and check-out is super easy. There is a nice well-lit lobby area with tables and coffee available. The laundry room is also bright and well maintained, with vending machines for last minute snacks/drinks. The room was thankfully warm during our stay while it was less than 20 degrees in the mornings. I believe the beds must be new… nice firm memory foam, similar to a tempurpedic. There is a small table with two chairs, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toiletries in the bathroom. It is a motel so there was a door out to our car in the parking lot and that was convenient for loading/unloading. We had a tiny patio with chairs/table. Overall I was happy with our stay and I’m sure we’ll be back.

The only reason I'm even writing this is because when we were checking out, I mentioned the lack of hot water and guess what? The desk clerk couldn't muster up the customer service skills to just say \"I'm sorry.\"

On the other hand, if you're the kind of person/family that's up early, ready to take in all the area has to offer and won't spend much time in your room, this will be fine for you. Unless of course you appreciate the luxury of a hot shower...
The bottom line? This place could be \"The Ritz Carlton,\" and it'd still be right next to a scrap yard and have no hot water.
The only reason I'm even writing this is because when we were checking out, I mentioned the lack of hot water and guess what? The desk clerk couldn't muster up the customer service skills to just say \"I'm sorry.\"
