Very old and basic, air conditioning did not work, can hear the people in the next room talking, no coffee or tea in the room only a kettle and sugar. Rooms are very small and there is no staff on site during evening hours. English is understood at a bare minimum. Rooms are clean and breakfast is sufficient

Really poor. The bedroom didn't even have a chair in to put your clothes on, Poor quality of everything, The breakfast was ok and the receptionist who served very swweet. We left the following morning of our arrival and had to pay out again for another hotel which was really nice,

Stayed at the property 1.5 years ago. Since then property remodeled and had a sterile look. All white walls in lobby, breakfast area and guest room. No artwork what so ever on walls. E mailed property 2 weeks prior to check in to use the bicycles provided by the property. Never heard back from them. When we arrived we were told one bicycle was broken, so we were unable to use. Big disappointment. However, they did refer us to a bike shop for rentals at a nominal price.

The service staff is very attentive and gracious, goes beyond her way to please all guests during breakfast service, and provides a well presented . breakfast selection. The owners need to add a better descripton as to how to find their property in their confirmation. It wahard for us to find the proper.

A good option in a great location

Staff here are great, really willing to help. Breakfast is decent and the location is great, really convenient for the train station and harbor, as well as local shops and restaurants. The only slight issue is that the hotel really isn't soundproof, a problem if like me, the person in the room next door is a loud snorer!

Charming little hotel

This is a fantastic little hotel. It is in beautiful La Spezia in a good location with many restaurants and shops right outside the door. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Excellent hotel close to the train station

Stayed for 3 nights! 10 mins walk from the train station. Easy to get to Cinque Terre. Hotel is down a small side lane off the main pedestrian only shopping area. Surprisingly quiet, rooms are clean and comfortable. Good breakfast in the outdoor patio. We really enjoyed the champagne and snacks on our last night. Would recommend!!!

Pleasant small b&b type accommodation.

Located close to station and shopping area. This is a small facility similar to a private hotel. Each room is unique. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly, and speak reasonable English. Rooms are cleaned daily and are presented beautifully. Spacious modern bathroom. Breakfasts are generous and would cater to most tastes. They include fresh seasonal fruit.

Great small hotel to explore Cinque Terre

Hotel is in a good position, in the middle of town and set back from the main street so its quiet, however you need to be happy to walk to access transport (car, Taxi, bus, rail) This is easy to do but a bit painful if you need a taxi in a hurry or you have alot of luggage. The staff are all very freindly and helpful, the hotel is finished to a good standard and is very clean. Genrally great, few things could be improved, I was in a room where the bathroom was up half a flight of stairs, the stairs are varnished and there isnt a hand rail, however slippers were provided if they are your thing. If your coming down the stairs with wet feet or socks this can be quite interesting if you slip. Would be nice to have a few more breakfast options.

Charming hotel, ideal base for the Cinque Terre

We booked the Hotel Crismar as a base for the Cinque Terre. It was perfect for that. Miramar is a very pretty, small hotel located in a small vico just metres from the main street of La Spezia. The owner of the hotel was super friendly and helpful, welcoming us with a package of information on the Cinque Terre. There was also a complimentary fruit bowl and mineral water. She also helped with a recommendation for a great restaurant nearby.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the service was charming and friendly. It is about five minutes from both the train station and the port, so it is easy to get to the Cinque Terre from there. We left to a warm farewell from the owner and staff. Highly recommended

Wonderful Small \"Boutique\" Hotel

Wonderful small hotel with excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. Good location about 10-12 minutes from the train station and in the heart of the commercial zone. The room was comfortable and the hotel provided some nice touches. I would definitely stay in this property again.

Amazing Hotel!!!

I loveee this hotel! My friend and I just got back from a stay here last week. I wish we could have stayed longer! This hotel is not only located in a great location to visit Cinque Terre very easily (just a 7min train stop away) but it is very clean and the staff there was lovely! It is also in a great location in the middle of town, it has its own hidden little alley way off the main street, which makes it quiet at night and feel like you are in your own little hidden hideaway in the center of town. They offered free daily breakfast with the room we booked (simple but good buffet) and even have a cute little outside seating area. The room itself was small but very clean and the bathroom looked clean and new (great shower). This hotel is very close to restaurants and shops and less then a ten minute walk from the train station where you catch the train to Cinque Terre. If you are looking for a clean and friendly place to stay while you explore Cinque Terre then I would def recommend this hotel. Our last night there they even surprised us with a platter with a little wine bottle, olives and chips!

Close to station and marina

The hotel is very nice with helpful staff who speak English. Breakfast is also included and there is a bowl of fresh fruit and bottles of water in your room on arrival. It is 5 minutes walk to the station and 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the marina making it easy to get to the Cinque Terre by either ferry or train. It is also in the centre of town so you are close to cafes, restaurants, grocery stores and of course shopping. La Spezia is also a lovely town. I enjoyed my stay here and would come again.

Not a chain hotel, but a small family run place. This small charming hotel was wonderful. We had the two bedroom suite. The staff was so hospitable and kind , we would return to this quaint hotel on the walking street any time. It was not easy to find , but once we did, we were pleased.

Went to La Spezia for football. This hotel is ideally located near the stadium about a 10 minute walk. There is a place to get tickets around the corner. The staff were very helpful and informative. A very nice trip and a good game.

Small Bed and breakfast I think only 7or 8 rooms. A/C worked well and rooms were clean but basic. The guy who ran the breakfast was a little bit of a character. He did things in a very specific order and he was not happy if you went out of order ( we did have a good laugh about it he made it an interesting experience.) Overall just an average experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Crismar. The staff were very nice and highly attentive. The hotel is very clean and the bed very comfortable. The location is very good with ready access to both the train station and ferry terminal. Highly recommended.
However, I do believe the price we paid was higher than warranted and we had a concern that perhaps the price paid varied considerably based upon either the means of booking or the origin of the booking. We had a simple, but very adequate room, but the price was high - as was the season.

We're a family of 4, and this month we stayed in Hotel Crismar for 3 nights, in the 2 bedroomed apartment. We all agreed that it had been the best accommodation of our 2 week road trip! The hotel itself was very pretty, down a quiet alley but a stones throw from lively La Spezia centre, with lots of shops/restaurants. The apartment was clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. At one point the Wifi didn't seem to be working, and they fixed it immediately. They also had a useful and very reasonable laundry service. We found La Spezia itself to be a very lively, fun city, and a fantastic location for Cinque Terre, Porto Venere etc. Hotel very close to train station and boat trips. Highly recommend!

Outrageously overpriced, avoid!

1.Mosquitoes in bedroom. Toke us half of the night to terminate them.
2. Bathroom facilities are for immobile people. Not good feeling.
3. Bath screens are made of cheap foldable plastic doors. Very shaky.
4. Lack of socket to charge electronic devices. In the end, we unplugged the fridge in order to get space to charge our mobile phone.
5. Option of breakfast is limited and fair quality
6. Expensive for a 2 star hotel.
In summary, not recommended

Terrific location, lovely little hotel

A charming little hotel, family owned and operated, located in the heart of the pedestrian/tourist/shopping area of La Spezia. Everything you need for a short stay and a perfect location for touring the Cinque Terre and Portofino.
It is a ten minute walk to the train station but can be difficult to locate for the first time since it is hidden down a little alleyway. Head out of the station, go left (down the roadway, steps or elevator). Walk toward the shopping area and follow the signs posted along the way. When you see the Museum you know you are almost there.
The staff are welcoming and will help with your luggage. Rooms have everything you will need, including a safe. If there is anything you require, don’t hesitate to ask. Sometimes the English translation is not so good but they will eventually understand and comply.
The breakfast is good and Fabio does his best in such tiny quarters. I wouldn’t exactly call it a “buffet” but you won’t go away hungry. The complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby are a great asset. I love that they trust their guests to help themselves and pay for their own cold beverages after hours.
Everything inside this old, renovated structure is modern and exceptionally clean.

Very friendly staff. Charming hotel in a quiet courtyard location but just off the pedestrian shopping streets and very close to the sea front. Complimentary fruit and water on arrival. Cheap and easy to buy extra bottled drinks. Complimentary tea and coffee in reception from 5pm - Midnight. Really pleasant experience.

We had a great stay at Hotel Crismar.This was our first stop in Italy and we are so thankful to Isabella! She made sure she was available to check us in after a long flight and navigating the train system to get to La Spezia from Rome. The hotel is a little tricky to find as it's tucked away on a quaint side street. If you're not familiar with the area it's easy to get lost. Streets are marked on the sides of buildings and we arrived quite late so it was too dark to see. The staff are fantastic! Very helpful for just about everything you need. Mama speaks a little English, but always knew what we needed!Breakfast is served every morning in true Italian style;just enough to get you started for the day. The area is filled with great shops,cafes,restaurants,and Gelato! Make your way to the Marina to do the boat tour of Cinque Terra,weather permitting, it's a fabulous trip! Otherwise, the train is a very efficient way of getting just about anywhere! There's a great Market in town filled with everything from fresh fish to flowers! Fascinating to watch and listen to the vendors as they sell their goods to the local consumers and tourists alike! Everyone was friendly!
The apartment we had was perfect for us;2 bedrooms,spacious bathroom,and a kitchen area. We loved coming 'home' each night. Hotel Crismar has the charm of Italy tucked away, yet central to so much! We'd definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to La Spezia!

Hotel Crismar - a hidden gem

x4 night stay to visit local regions; Bay of Poets, Cinque Terre and house hunting in the Lunigiana region. Giro Italia was going through La Spezia at the time of my visit so it was very busy and the atmosphere in town was very festive. All the staff at Hotel Crismar were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Crismar is great

Hotel Crismar is off a major walkway that goes straight to the train station. It is cute and well cared for. The breakfast was good and it's very easy to get to Cinque Terre from there. The rooms aren't huge but they have everything you need. I had a great stay there. They also offered to let us keep our bags there while we hiked around that day for no extra charge.

The hotel is small with only 9 rooms. It is located slighly hidden off the main pedestrian walkway of Via Del Prione. While the rooms were small,they were very clean and well equipped. The location is excellent located midway between the rail station and the ferry port. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They also gave us some excellent recomments for dining. If you are a little adventerous and want to sample a little Italian charm, this hotel is a great place to stay and well priced. La Spezia is a nice clean little city with beautiful amenities and is a perfect place to stay if you want to visit the CinqueTerre and/or Portovenere.

What a gem in the middle of La Spezia

As part of our 5 week Italian holiday we wanted to see Cinque Terre for 3 nights/4days. As it was difficult to find accommodation for a family of 4 in the little towns we decided on staying in La Spezia and commuting by train each day. We were certainly not disappointed, the location of this hotel is fantastic! It is just a quick walk up the street and the train station is right there and it will have you in all the little towns in next to no time. The hotel is also right in town, with great restaurants, the warf and shopping etc right there. It is tucked away off the main street which is just fantastic!!You have the beauty of the main road right there but not on your doorstop. It is a quaint charming hotel which is run by a lovely family who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our room was the family room number 11 with two bedrooms, a kitchen and small meals table. Upon entering we found the room ready for occupation. It was spotless! The kids and us marvelled at the towel art which was different each day. We would arrive home rushing in to see what greeted us this time on our beds. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thank you to the staff for great service and for providing a fantastic hotel.

Wonderful friendly quiet hotel in La Spezia

We stayed here for one night so we could do the Cinque Terra over two days. The hotel was delightful and fresh with the best breakfast ever! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was small and delightfully quiet despite being in the centre of town. Our room was spotless and large with character as the building was once an old mill. We were able to sit out the front and enjoy our own drinks at the end of the day in peace and quiet. Thoroughly recommended!

We stayed here to visit the towns of Cinque Terra. This hotel is centrally located in La Spieza - along a pedestrian walkway, midway between the train station and the harbor. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station where all the trains to Cinque Terra towns start and a 10 minute walk to the harbor where the ferry boat to Cinque Terra.

Quiet hotel near shopping.

We liked how the hotel was situated in a quiet alley right in the shopping district and within a 10 minute walk of the train station. We were greeted by the mother of \"Isabella\" who corresponded with us by email. She was helpful and friendly in spite of limited English. She made a reservation for us at a seafood restaurant that provided one of the best meals we had in Italy. There was a fridge and a complimentary basket of fruit in our small but pleasant room. Breakfast was supervised by a pleasant man in \"chef\" gear who brought us our plates of food and coffee (you choose sweet or savoury in advance). We took advantage of the laundry service (2 small bags for 15 euros) and our clean and folded clothing was returned to us within 8 hours. All in all, a good experience.

Small friendly hotel 15m off main shopping street

The short alley opens up into a bright hotel courtyard. The owner met us with a friendly welcome, offering maps, Cinque Terra train and boat timetables, WiFi codes etc. The ground floor room was large by Italian small hotel standards with a generous size bathroom and set up for wheelchair access. Ask for this room if available. Breakfast was simple and tasty. The enclosed courtyard off the main street meant it was quiet apart from the happy sounds in the morning of a junior school somewhere nearby. We would stay there again.

Clean and friendly but spartan

Family of 4 with 2 teens. We were comfortable in the 2 bedroom unit. It is clean. Beds were comfortable although kids said beds were small. The bathroom could use some simple fixtures like towel bars and maybe a shelf for toiletries. Good size fridge with freezer. Location is good if you are using it as a base for cinque Terre. 8 minutes from train, 8 minutes the other way to ferry. It is quiet even though it is just off a main pedestrian street with lots of stores and restaurants. Breakfast was good. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. It was as advertised. I would stay again if I went back to la Spezia.

I can't say enough good things about the hotel Cris Mar. On a scale of 1-10 I would give them 11's across the board.

Some highlights:

Super hip room for what can be considered a \"budget hotel\".

Great location in the heart of La Spezia's popular pedestrian zone.

Literally 3 minute walk from Central Train Station

Incredibly friendly/helpful staff that does anything possible to make your stay fun and comfortable.

This was the perfect home base for my hiking day trips to The Cinque Terre. They recommended great hikes that were not crowded/touristy, and arranged so that I could have breakfast early to accommodate my hiking schedule.

Why can't all hotels be like the Cris Mar???

Good location, disappointing facilities.

The hotel is very close to the train station. The staff is friendly. The room was disappointing, it had a weird humming noise and was very echo-y. The lighting in the room was not great. The toilets were too high above the bathroom floor. The breakfast was free but very bad. The croissants were very sub-par, the cappuccino was probably the worst we had in Italy, and the juice was awful. All in all, very disappointing for the price we paid. It would be okay for 1/3rd or 1/2 the price.

We had a terrible time finding it. It is a very short street with about 5 addresses on it. I don't speak Italian but I had typed copy of the hotel name and the address. If I hadn't stumbled nn a delivery kind (FedEx type) would have on a long time. The proprietor wad wonderful in supporting us through the crisis of learning our return trip had been cancelled.

Great hotel

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. This is a great family owned hotel. The owner, Isabella and her parents were so friendly and helpful...we enjoyed our stay immensely. Very clean and comfortable hotel with a great complimentary breakfast. The location is perfectly situated and is within walking distance to the train station, marina, restaurants and shopping.

We would definately stay here again!

Great hospitality & location

Family run hotel - staff is welcoming & very helpful with information on the surrounding sights. Located in a great area to walk around - pedestrian only. A short walk to the train station or to the ferry docks. Very easy to do day trips to Cinque Terre, etc. Breakfast is typical European style & service is great.

a lovely pension - friendly helpful owners

I was made to feel so welcome by the young owners. They answered all my questions and had timetables for trains buses boats etc available. This is more of a pension than a hotel but an excellent base in La Spezia for getting to Cinque Terre Portovenere and Lerici.

Très bon séjour au Novecento!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons eu le droit à un excellent accueil, un bon café et de très bons conseils sur la ville et sur les visites à faire. Je remercie d'ailleurs Guillermo et Anna pour leur gentillesse et leurs conseils, sans eux notre séjour n'aurait pas été aussi agréable 😉.
L'hôtel est quant à lui à taille humaine, en plein centre de la vieille ville, idéalement situé pour aller prendre un bateau, un train ou tout simplement pour manger, shopper ou boire un verre, et tout celà sans prendre la voiture!
Notre chambre était agréable avec une jolie salle de bain, et au calme malgré la situation en centre ville.
Rien à redire, ce petit hôtel plein de charme nous a vraiment conquis.
Merci à toute l'équipe (y compris la dame du petit déjeuner), nous reviendrons à coup sûr quand nous retournerons à La Spezia.

호스트 너무 친절합니다. 깔끔하게 혼자쓰기 좋은 1인실이 있어요 가성비도 좋고 조식도 이만하면 훌륭해요! 역에서 7-8분 정도 떨어져있지만 근처에 맛있는 레스토랑도 있고 젤라또 맛집도 있고해서 나쁘지 않아요~ 혼자여행 가성비 숙소로 추천해요!!

Très bon rapport qualité / prix.

Venligt lille sted gåafstand til togstation

Stedet minder nærmere om et hostel for backpackers end et hotel. Det kunne mærkes både på indretningen og værelsets størrelse, der var ret småt - samt ved check in i receptionen. De var rigtig søde, men blev lidt overrasket pga. prisen (i den høje ende, måske pga højsæson). Stedet lå også lidt skjult fra gågaden, så kig efter et lille skilt for at dreje ind i en lille alley.
Men hvis du planlægger at tilbringe en dag for at udforske Cinque Terre, er beliggenheden rigtig god for togstationen La Spezia Centrale.

Ikke helt som forventet

Da vi ankom hotellet, ble vi overrasket over at det ikke matchet bildene. Det var nå tegnet over alt på veggene. Personalet var veldig vennlige og hjelpsomme, og gav oss en del tips til ting vi kunne finne på i nærheten. Hotellet ligger sentralt til i byen og har gåavstand til togstasjonen, noe som var et stort pluss. Rommet var sterilt og med moderniseringsbehov.

Good Hotel, if.....

Cozy 2 stars hotel recently refecorated with a certain taste. Good location in a quiet courtyard not far from the center and the station. However walls are very thin: you can hear your neighbour'talk (and not only...) and breakfast starts a bit late at 8 (sometimes later). The owner is a nice guy, very kind and polite.
He said he wll fix the noisy air conditioning unit in the single room which is very small but cozy.

God morgenmad, ikke så stort udvalg men fin kvalitet.
Utrolig svært at finde- vi kom også da det var mørkt. Det lå på Strøget og kun et lille skilt viste derind. Skiltet blev taget når hotellet lukker. Parkering med måske 6-8 fri parkering lå 700m fra hotellet. Parkering koster 1,5 euro om dagen og 1 euro om natten.
Receptionen lukker kl 20.00.
Banegården ligger 700m fra hotellet
