The hotel is tied and over rated should be a 3 star in my opinion. Unfortunately our room was directly below reception and the hard floors meant we heard most footsteps also clos to the lift which pinged when it arrived at our floor The towels and bed sheets were getting to the end of their lives and should not be used anymore. The shower screen was a double bifold which met at the external corner not easy to seal and therefore water did escape.
The bedroom was a good size but not enough hanging space or drawers if you wanted to unpack.
We will not be rebooking this hotel.

Loved this stay. Im not sure why the negative reviews. Stayed with my 4 adult children and it was perfect. Breakfast was great. Clean. Civilized. :) close to train and centro. Particularly loved Sara at reception.
I have nothing negative to say but if i had to the only thing was the noise at night from residential area. But it was a Saturday night and we kept our windows open. Highly recommend

The room was very nice and clean, and the staff were pleasant. However, there were no self-service laundry facilities as mentioned in the description — only paid laundry service. The shower was quite small, and unfortunately, there’s no real view from the room. The bedroom door opens to a large unfinished porch that faces other buildings so closely you could talk to the neighbors.
Suggestion: It would be lovely if the porch floor were finished and decorated with fairy lights and some greenery or small trees to create a garden feel and add privacy.

Was walkable in each direction either to Main Street or to train station. Easy walk to waterfront. Breakfast was included and was good with lots of options. Great place to stay if you want to access cinque terra by train. Would recommend.

Very very very small showers. The property employees were excellent accommodating us by moving us to a bigger room (of course we had to pay the difference, no problem) but the shower was the same size. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very nice and had easy access to the city center. The staff was exceptional and the breakfast was excellent. The only minor issues were leaky showers and the AC didn't really work all that well. Other than that, we would say there again!

Our room was on 5th floor. Unfortunately the elevator was a disaster. One small elevator that five people would hardly fit in. Sometimes I had to wait 5-8 minutes for elevator and it was making scary bumps ( 5 times) on each stops.

This is a good hotel if you are staying in La Spezia. It is close to the main strip which is minutes from the dock in one direction and minutes from the city centre in the other.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. My son left his cell phone in our cab when we checked out and left for the train and the front desk staff helped us track it down and get it to us in our next location.
The only criticism I have is the bathrooms are really tight, especially the showers. I am 5’11 and I found it tight.

I would highly recommend skipping this hotel. It is seriously run down and the staff are terrible. What’s funny is they proudly state 4 stars on the hotel, the reality is it’s less than 1 star. Due to a change in our itinerary we needed to make change our booking from 2 to 1 days and called ahead of time and we’re told this was possible by the staff. When we arrived at the hotel later the story changed were told we were past the change period and would have to pay for the entire stay. We spoke to the manager the next day who was not friendly and did nothing. They are just out for money and do not care about customer service. We ended up having to pay for 2 nights and leaving after 1. If you are booking a hotel to see the Cinque Terre look for another option. You will thank me.

They encourage you to use a back way to get to the city area. This was very dirty and loaded with garbage. one night we were blocked by a group of un-savory looking characters. I told the manager they need to get with the police on cleaning this up.

We were traveling with a baby and even though AC was advertised, we were told they were saving the environment and could not switch ours on. It was 26 degrees Celsius in the room, our refridgerator did not work, and so all baby food was spoiled and no one slept due to the conditions in the room.

Our room was the most depressing room I’ve ever stayed in. Thank god I was only there for one night. The rooms are below ground so there was only a small window that did not get any natural light. Stark, sterile white walls. Think jail cell block or hospital room. Room was cold but there was no thermostat control in room and was told we weren’t allowed to adjust the room temperature. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Would not recommend!

We book 2 rooms, one had air conditioning, but not the other one. We were told that by law they had to turn off ac unit for room 1. But not in the family room because its considered autonomous. Non sence. Property is well located, but shoud be remodeled big time. Aparently is under staff, had a leak on ac that flooded room. The clerk that check in us was the same that bought towels and try to dry the floor. Breakfast not bad.

This is a typical European hotel. The staff were great and accommodating. We rented two rooms. Our room had firm, pillow top beds that were very comfy however the Wifi was inconsistent and air conditioning was not great. Our colleague’s room had good Wifi and air conditioning but they described their bed as hard with spring poking you. The location was fantastic! It was about a 15 minute walk to the train with luggage down a street that was pedestrian only. There were tons of stores and restaurants in the area.

We had an issue with the wifi at check in. The room was obviously in a dead zone. It took quite some time, and finagling, and re-setting of the router with no success. The staff person was reluctant to change our room and persisted in having us try and re try. Finally, finally, we were moved and everything went wonderfully after that. Nice clean modern-ish hotel. Spacious room. Smaller bathroom with the usual European tiny shower. Good breakfast with a decent selection of breads, fruits, etc. No coffee maker in room. Would definitely stay there again!

First the bad stuff .....Property is NOISY. ..sound carries from adjoining rooms and from plumbing. If you like it nice and quiet then stay away. It is not 4 star ..at very best a 3 star. Lift takes ages.Rooms are very basic. Shower is poor ..hostel standard. At breakfast order your coffee from the kitchen as the coffee on tap in the dining room is dire.

What a pleasant stay!
The hotel was nice and cozy. The AC was blasting in my face the moment I walked inside my room, so no worries about sleeping in your sweat. They had a delicious breakfast buffet which was handled well by the staff. Because of COVID-19, you choose what you want from the menu.
The hotel has a parking garage for €12/day, but I was fortunate to get one of the hotel's reserved street parking spots just right outside the hotel.
Lastly, the hotel is located next to many stores and bars. I would definitely stay here again.

This is not an uncommon custom in Italy but when advertising AC to customers most assume that means one that is capable of being used.

The free WiFI in the room was very bad.☹️ The free buffet breakfast was ok. I really missed the fruit. They have whole pineapple on the buffet table., for decoration? I would suggest to have the fruit cut it in pieces, ready to eat. Thank you!

The location of the hotel is close to the train station. We walked from the station to the hotel. You can take an outdoor elevator down from right outside the hotel and you exit onto a street with many food and shopping options. The hotel is clean, quiet, and the staff is wonderful. The free breakfast was a wonderful buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location - this Hotel is about half way between the train station and the ferry wharf. There is a back entrance on the ground floor which leads directly into the main pedestrian mall which is really good for shopping and restaurants.
However the elevator in this hotel is very slow and didn't seem to be working properly while we were there. We usually found it quicker to use the stairs. If you have problems with mobility this could be an issue.
Also we were given a bathroom with disability facilities (which we didn't need) and we found this inconvenient.

The hotel is crammed into the tight downtown area, parking is on the street and limited, we had to hunt for a public area to park, since the assigned spaces were occupied.

The bed was very uncomfortable, the room was very grim, very smelly, and noisy as you can whenever anyone in the hotel uses their bathrooms which is very very annoying especially if you're a light sleeper!

The staff members were unprofessional, they have sent us (over 3 times) to their underground parking to look for specific parking spots that were already occupied!! (As we weren't allowed to park wherever we wanted). Eventually, we were given a solution that turned out to be not accurate!
In addition, breakfast is supposed to finish by 10 - however, the staff start taking the food into the kitchen at 9.45!!
They have a long way before they can call themselves a hotel!

I had reserved 2 rooms. We had to call the desk to turn on our air conditioning - Yay it worked. When the other room called to have the air conditioning activated, they were told that due to the time of year all they could do was to turn on the air circulation. They told the staff that our room had the air conditioning turned on. The Staff said their was nothing they could do and refused to activate their air conditioning. While my stay was cool and comfortable, the other room was horrifically over heated. The worst part was is that the front desk staff lied over and over again saying that the air conditioning could not be turned on - very disappointing.

Finding the front door from the train station was tricky; someone directed me up 100 steps to an external elevator that led right to the hotel...but that was not the “real” way in; I adored the hotel and staff; free snacks at 5:00, delicious huge breakfast, trendy look; I’d definitely recommend it

I booked a room for 3 (2 adults and 1 child) and I got a double room with 1 bed. After a long discussion I was able to have an extra bed that they charged 20 euro per night for the child. I will never come back ! Probably Hotels app booking system need also to improve!

No kettle in the room and there was only one lift so if every one is pressing the buttons on different floors you weren’t able to use it. Many times we waited a while and had to use the stairs.

Everything was very acceptable except for the shower in the bath which one had to fight the entire time in the bath , but that seems to be a very common thing in Italy, out of 6 different hotels I used during this trip only one was functional the way it is supposed to be

We stayed in Italy for almost three weeks, and this was the best breakfast we had at any hotel! They had a fruit, muffins, cereal, vegetables, meat, eggs, juices, you name it! This was a clean modern hotel. The staff were very helpful. One caution for those who stay here: make sure you turn the correct way when walking from the train station. It's only a 10 minute walk, but we went the wrong way and it took us about an hour to get there! Your best approach is through a pedestrian street leading right to the hotel elevator. Watch for signs.

I really loved my stay I think the staff was incredibly helpful and kind, the room was super clean so was the lobby and the restaurant which the food was Delicious and I can’t get enough of the location really accessible to the main area I would really come back to this hotel
