The owners met with us upon arrival to show us our room and gave us all the info we needed to explore the area. They checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything. The room was spectacular. Very clean, plenty of space and well supplied. The location was a 5 minute walk from the train station. Highly recommend!

The property itself is quite unique with spacious and comfortable rooms. Access is by arranged meeting since the property is not accessible from the street without a key. We were greeted by Simone who gave us access to the property along with a friendly welcome. Elisa then gave us the rundown of the property over a complimentary caffe and proceeded to give us friendly advice and dining recommendations as well as a welcome bottle of chianti. Overall, this was an excellent stay. the only drawback was parking. free parking options were not easily found at the time we arrived, and we ended up paying for parking in the train station parking garage.

C'était pas bien c'était SENSATIONEL

Rarement on a été aussi bien servi et accueilli par nos hôtes Elisa Et Simone. On était pas encore chez eux qu'ils nous ont aidé pour garer la voiture car tout était encombré. Nous avons eu droit ensuite à pleins d'informations pour notre séjour et des attentions entre petits chocolats bouteille de vin et eau fraîche.
L'accueil et la gentillesse de ce couple nous ont fait beaucoup de plaisir.

The owner greeted me personally as I was walking down the street lugging around my heavy luggage. He took my luggage and helped me carry it to the hotel. Such an amazing warm and helpful touch. We were greeted by Elisa who was kind enough to let us check-in earlier as we had two tired kids.

We had the two connecting double rooms which were very clean. Comfortable beds and great AC. Unfortunately the window couldnt really open because there was construction in that side of the street (and the room is on the ground floor) but luckily the room was bright enough with lighting.

It is in a great area around the corner from all the restaurants and about a 5 block walk to the main train station which you will need to take if you also plan to take day trips to Cinque Terre or other areas such as Portofino.

Elisa was a very nice and friendly person and gave us good recommendations on what to do around the area. :)

It was a great place to say, so close to the train station and pedestrian street with lots of food options. The host speaks very fast so it was hard to catch all of the check-in instructions.

The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the Central station and close to city centre places to eat.

Elisa gave us such a watm welcome, suggesting where we could go to get breakfast and highlighting some of the local sights.

The room was comfortable - my sons enjoyed having their own linked adjacent room. There is scaffolding currently around the building which limited how much the windows could open - but that wasn’t a problem as the weather was so hot and the air conditioning was very good.

Lovely hosts who were very attentive and accommodating. The room, however, was subterranean with a strange window at ceiling level that couldn’t be completely covered for privacy. Fortunately, A/C was excellent. Wi-Fi was less reliable. Few surfaces for our items. Needed to use chairs. Mattresses are worn out memory foam types. Were it not for the delightful hosts, we would have left after the first night. Location is great for accessing train station but area of town isn’t the best. Price paid was decent for value offered.

I would definitely stay here again!! The staff is so welcoming, offering us chocolates and coffee at check-in. I was having a pretty terrible day, and they got us talking and sharing stories! It was really amazing!! The room was also very comfortable and the shower was luxurious!!! What an amazing find!

The couple that greeted us were amazing!!’ They told us all about the area and how to get around. Everything was clean and they were great at communicating whenever we had any questions. The room was a little dark - we didn’t have a view but we only used the room to sleep and get ready. Highly recommended this property- super close to the train station.

The service at the hotel was the best. The staff member reached out and gave me all the details and info I needed. She was accommodating and kind. The room was just off the street so I could hear traffic and people but it was not disruptive for sleeping. There were stairs so I'm not sure what accessible options are available. It was located close to all that the city had to offer for historic attractions. The rating was a but low in my opinion as it was a solid 9/10 for me.

Omg... The staff is absolutely amazing. We were arriving late but that had no problem assisting us getting to the hotel. Elisa was a darling. She kept in touch with me via WhatsApp and tried to assist us getting back to the hotel after trainitalia personnel was striking. This part was frustrating but it is what it is. The hotel was super clean and not far from the train for commute. Definitely a great spot of you want to to stay in La Spezia.

Wow! This little inn is a hidden gem! It was immaculately clean, the host was very accommodating, and it had air conditioning that we could adjust to our comfort level. We stayed in connected family rooms, with the parents in one room, a Jack and Jill bathroom in between, and the kids' room with twin beds on the other side of the bathroom. It was perfect for our family. I highly recommend staying in this hotel if you were visiting the Cinque Terre region.

A more attentive host will be hard to find. Elise took care of every request. Constantly on premises making sure your stay is comfortable. Walkable to the train station and the ferry port.
Host has several rooms on the main floor of an apartment building. The rooms are segmented from the rest of the building so you will have no interaction with any of those tenants. Room was spotless with adequate space to move around. A/C worked well and room has a mini fridge stocked with a couple of bottles of water. Bed was a little hard for my taste but everything else was excellent.

This was a rather simple butt very convenient lodging alternative. Rooms are very basic, but you have everything you need, especially for short stays. All the property was very clean and the owner (Celia? I think) and her husband are both very kind, attentive and incredibly helpful; they provided us with extremely detailed directions for virtually anything we needed during our stay! The train station is a 3-5 minute walk (where you can also find a large underground paid parking garage), and there are a number of great dining options in the pedestrian street that is virtually one block behind the property. This is a highly recommended alternative!!

The best part for us was the proximity to the La Spezia Centrale train station. (An easy 5 minute walk.)
The property manager that greeted us at the entrance was very nice and was helpful to us the entire stay. She was also very fluent in English and a good communicator in person and via WhatsApp.

Elisa was very good communicating prior to our arrival to arrange check in. We did have a little difficulty finding it at first as there was some construction in front. Elisa was incredibly helpful with information about the area and suggestions for travelling to Cinque Terre and restaurants - even the gluten free options!The room was very clean and was cleaned while we stayed. The location is good with ready access to shops and restaurants.

Avoid this nasty place

Avoid this place. It’s located in an apartment building with zimmers for rent. Facade of hotel with scaffolding and dingy We were a bit late (45 minutes) due to accident ten minutes from the hotel. Elise charged us 45 euro late fee. It was at 9:45 pm. She said she needed to charge late fee because we would possible wake up her guests (insane) Insisted on credit card as soon as we walked in. Elissa was downright rude. Room is cramped. Shampoo and soaps are pea size. No Kleenex in room just toilet paper that is one ply and recycled paper. Skimpy towels. No fresh towels where given to us the following day Breakfast was not on premises. Free parking was at least 20 minutes walk away. Ellie’s insisted it was five minute walk from hotel. WiFi was horrendous. Only one of our phones worked on the house WiFi.
Shower was in a locker.
Overall if you’re looking for a hostel..this the place but not for the of a Sheraton.

This is inside a gated apartment complex and a door I right hand corner that is your entrance. There are several rooms as you walk down a hall. It is very clean and staff is very kind and helpful. I was able to check in early because my room was ready which helped a lot. I had a single bed, private bathroom. Bed was comfortable and I felt safe. I would come back again for a short stay.

I booked a room here for one night during a visit to Cinque Terre. The proprietors are amazingly kind and helpful people! They worked with me on my arrival/check in time and let me keep my bags there for several hours after I checked out. The room is basic but has everything you need, it’s clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfy! You can’t beat the location as it’s a 5 minute walk to the La Spezia train station and about 5-10 minute walk to the heart of town. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for basic but comfortable housing!

Thanks to the hospitality of Lisa, the owner, we had a great stay at this place. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast service. The price we booked included breakfast. We were told that the breakfast service was at an outfitter outside the hotel and that breakfast would be served at 7am. When we arrived the next morning at 7am, the owner of the breakfast place told us that the bread delivery person had not arrived yet and that we should wait. When the breakfast service started, the owner told us that our voucher only included a cup of coffee and a croissant. Is this enough to eat? I really doubt it.

Lovely stay with a caring host!

We had a great time in La Spezia/Cinque Terre thanks to Elisa and her husband.
The bedroom is comfortable with comfy beds/pillows, the place is clean, in a perfect location. It's nice to have access to a breakfast with options.
It was also nice to have connecting bedrooms (not that usual nor easy to find!).
Most importantly, Elisa was a fantastic host with a lot of nice attentions and great travel advice (restaurants, things to see, map, reco on travel, etc). This is great customer service ;)

The host Elisa is wondering and she provided a lot of information that helps me plan my 4 days in the Cinque Terre area. She’s very sweet and even brought me out for a mini tour in the town centre! She could be communicated via WhatsApp which is very convenient. Local of the hotel is great too, just a few minutes walk away from the train station and the harbour.

A very nice room with a reasonable price

I was very happy with my stay. Elisa is a very kind person. The room is much better than you can see from the photos. It is big, clean and comfortable. And the most important thing is you can reserve a check-in time with Elisa by whatsapp! Just one thing I don't like about the room is the mosquitoes, as the windows were opened before my check-in and mosquitoes were already there.

Room in a shared apartment and block with secure access..Very friendly and helpful host. Excellent orientation and assistance with local amenities and tourist attractions, restaurant and travel options. Clean and comfortable room. Light breakfast at local cafe provided. Wifi good quality. Very convenient location to train for Cinque Terre. Close to ships and cafes and restaurants.

Only negative neighbours/guests can get noisy at times especially with late night summer activities.

The only nice thing to say about this hotel experience is a friendly lady that welcomed us and explained all she could at one goal. But sad we have to say that the WiFi within the room is very poor. We stayed in like ten hotels in Italy and this is amongst the worst. There was a kettle but unfortunately the boiled water was contaminated with white visible particles. This is one of the only two hotels that do not provide slippers.

Go there ! The host is fantastic!

The service was exceptional, we even got outside the apartment so she could show us the area. The breakfast was included at a very close and nice place, near a fountain. She suggested good restaurant as well. The room was very very clean, a chocolate was on the pillow, it was like a four stars hotel. Love the area as well, very intimate and quiet place too. We will come back!

Not recommended!

The location was convinient, however I didn't expect to stay at an old run down building.
Elisa, the attendant was phenomenal.
Don't expect luxury or good sleep as you can hear everything that's going on outside (at all hours of the night). I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this Hotel, simply because it's not a Hotel, it's a few rooms at the ground floor of an old apartment building.

Two blocks from train station, five blocks to the boat harbor. You have to arrange with the host your arrival so that she is there to let you into your room. The breakfast was a coupon to a local restaurant good for a cappuccino and a croissant. Comfortable, quiet room.

They tell you upfront! this is not a Hotel with a desk or restaurant facilities. But Elise was excellent, so friendly and efficient she meet us, she waited for us at the established time gives the key to our rooms and all the directions before we leave we were able to leave the baggage for a few hours until the train departure.

Central located close to station.

We selected this hotel for its proximity to the station and centrality. Very close to shops and restaurants and walking to the pier. Elisha was extremely helpful and met us and walked us out to the shopping area and showed us key points we might be interested in. She also told us all we needed to know about visiting cinque Terre. We had a 2 rooom with connecting door as our 17 yr old daughter was travelling with us. The only downside was noise from other tenants who were very loud when entering and leaving, our rooms were adjacent to the entry door also as we were on the ground floor couldn't open the windows, as they all have security style shutters.

This is NOT a hotel!!!!!

This is a locked and gated apartment building on a very loud and busy street. We rang the bell countless times (at 5:30pm) and nobody answered. The gate was locked so we could not get inside the building. When I called a person (very nice person) did not speak English very well and I speak zero Italian. She said something about going to the train station. So I was confused. We never figured out how to get inside. There is also zero parking and we had a car. So we left and I booked another hotel nearby and lost all my money.

I emailed the hotel and told them I was not coming. I got a form response back in Italian. I tried to contact Expedia via the website for a callback on my cell phone. But my phone was not working correctly in Italy so I never actually spoke to anyone from Expedia.

This was a horrible experience.. fortunately very rare for Expedia. But I predict this Non-Hotel will have many problems if they don't open up, hire more staff, and communicate better.

Convenient option for Cinque Terre

This was surprisingly good stay for the type of hotel this place was. It felt very B&B/ Airbnb but nonetheless we had a comfortable 1 night stay. Internet was super fast, rooms had strong AC and the interiors were designed amazingly well. Only complaint would be the beds they were very thin and springy. Other than that it was a good stay

The room could not have been cleaner, and complete with a beautiful little breakfast and chocolate on the pillows! The place was also very secure.. Being more of rented rooms than a hotel, but we were given a seperate set of keys to keep ourselves after checkout, so that we could come back for our luggage in the evening.

Would highly recommend. Very close proximity to train station (less than 5 min walk) taking you back down to Pisa, Florence etc., as well as through the cities of Cinque Terre. Also, she had suggested a very cool bar to grab drinks with friends, La Taverna del Metallo, and it did not disappoint!!

The hotel's host Eliza was so helpful in her hotel orientation as well as a walking guided tour of downtown La Spezia. The location is only 2 min walk to La Spezia train station and a natural start point for touring the Cinque Terre If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, newly updated hotel room that will fit more than 2 persons and won't break the budget, look no further.

Good for an overnight stay

We only spent one night at this hotel. We had to call the hotel before we arrived because they do not have a front desk. The woman who met us was very friendly and helpful.
Parking is a problem - as it is in most Italian cities. We parked at the train station during the day because we took a train to Cinque Terre and the parking at the station was free. Because we stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night, parking spots on the road were free for anyone to park in after 8:00 p.m. and all day Sunday.

The breakfast that was included was not offered at the hotel. The woman who greeted us gave us tickets to use at a cafe around the block and showed us exactly where the cafe was located. We did not have a problem using these tickets at the cafe. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Elisa, who owns and operates it, will meet you for check-in - just make sure to contact her in advance using the website! She is incredibly kind and helpful, and provided us all the information needed - we used this room as a place to stay so we could tour Cinque Terre and Portovenere - so it was perfect. It is a very close walk to both the train station and the ferry... And there are many great places to eat nearby that are very affordable. Two thumbs way up!

Wonderful stay near Cinque Terre

Elisa gave us important travel advice. Because of what she said we changed our plans & went to one of the highlights of our trip. She also gave us great restaurant advice. La Spezia is great location to go to Cinque Terre & was really a nice town to spend evenings. The one negative was breakfast - it was very minimal. In fact, we went out for breakfast. The room was modern and very clean. It had an excellent air conditioning unit & the temperature could be adjusted with a remote. Bathroom clean and modern.

Close to everything! Great hostess!

We booked this rather last minute then didn't tell Elisa our time of arrival which made things a bit confusing upon arrival but she was great and turned up promptly and was very friendly. She even gave us her park! Great place to stay as its close to the train station and all the local restaurants. Room was spacious, and had everything we needed. A little bit noisy as its on street level but it was good as we needed to get up early to get to cinque Terre. Would highly recommend!

This was a last-minute booking and the host (Elisa) was very friendly and welcoming, providing maps, restaurant recommendations, and information about travelling to Cinque Terre. The room was quite small for two people in two separate beds but was very clean and modern. The location was great, about a block from the main shopping area. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We were greeted by the owner Elisa at check-in. She was very friendly and hospitable. Gave us all the information needed to tour the area and Cinque Terre, including train schedules and ferry schedules. Better than the Tourist Information.

She actually showed us around the area after check-in with regard to what to eat where the convenient stores are.

A Pleasant surprise

My wife and I spent 4 nights in La Spezia. The Affitticamere was very located. It was a short walk from the train station to the hotel, convenient for the train to Cinque-Terre, and was a very short walk to the downtown area with restaurants and shops. The hotel room was exactly as described. clean and comfortable.The hotel, as was clearly stated, does not have a front desk. If one is reasonably self sufficient that works fine; if not it something that should be considered. We were met at the hotel my Eliza who was very welcoming and helpful and gave us a map and tips about La Spezia. She was attentive and easy to reach.
