Staff was EXCELLENT! They are very helpful. Max went above and beyond with giving us information upon our arrival. Location was perfect for our travels, walking distance to shopping and not a far walk at all to St. Mark’s square. Loved the room, it was a single full size bed, it was perfect for the both of us. Wife said the room was “super cute”!

The hotel is conveniently located near San Marco Square and provides access to the exquisite laneways, restaurants, shops and trattoria’s that Venice has to offer. We could not recommend the hotel more highly and would certainly stay there again if we returned to Venice. Certainly a 5+out of 5.

Hotel Firenze is tucked away in a quiet alleyway right in the centre of Venice where all the designer shops are. You can’t get a better location. The location isn’t just what makes this hotel a great choice though - it’s the incredible, personal service you get from the beautiful staff who work there. They go above and beyond to help and really made our stay in Venice wonderful. I love the authentic boutique style of the hotel - really helps to immerse yourself in the true Venice style. If this place is available, don’t hesitate, it’s a fantastic option at a good price point.

Great Place to Stay for First Timers in Venice

The hotel is located really close to St. Mark Square. It’s next to high-end shopping and restaurants. Quick walk to water bus terminal. Breakfast was basic but the service was great. The staff is excellent and very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Hotel Firenze is a nice small hotel within walking distance of many of the sites a first time traveler to Venice would want to see.

The concierge service we needed for transport from the port at Funsia and to Marco Polo airport via water taxi was excellent. The complementary breakfast very nice, and the rooftop terrace is a great place to see Venice at night or eat a carry-in lunch.

The bonus for me was getting gardening tips with the lovely lady who tends the terrace garden.

Hotel Firenze is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Venice!
If you are lucky enough to find availability here (they are often fully booked!), you’re in for a wonderful stay. The location is perfect — steps away from everything you want to see — and the staff are incredibly helpful. Don’t hesitate to ask them for anything you need or recommendations on what to do; they go above and beyond to make your stay special.

I only wish I had spent more time in Venice — I can’t wait to return, and I would absolutely stay at Hotel Firenze again!

Hotel Firenze was a delightful place to stay in close proximity to St Marks Square and all the places to visit as well as transport hubs. The staff were absolutely lovely with night staff on our arrival very helpful and the lovely Claudia taking time to draw lots of places to visit and things to do. The room was very Venetian in styling, compact and spotless with lots of little treats left for us every day...lovely. Continental breakfast was served by staff from and impressive array of foods , with delicious pastries to finish off! Not quite warm enough to use the lovely roof terrace but overall a great hotel to base yourself to explore city.

A little tricky to find but a wonderful property. Reception are incredibly kind and willing to answer any questions and offer suggestions. Very close to the water taxi and ferry line as well as all the sights and incredible food. The rooftop is also a really nice spot to enjoy a drink or snack. It’s not the quietest especially on a weekend night but that’s what you get being in the heart of the shopping area and piazza. But overall a wonderful stay.

A nice cosy hotel

Lovely room with beautiful Venetian decor. The location is literally next to San Marco square and it’s in the middle of the high end shopping area of town. We had no issue navigating from the train station to the hotel and back. Everything is in walking distance and as a result we didn’t have to make use of the water taxi or the buses. The complementary breakfast was just right and has its unique way of serving you. Recommended.

A comfortable very small hotel with comfortable well appointed rooms. Excellent touch of little complimentary treats of chocolate, fruit and water in the room.
Breakfast was tasty with excellent freshly made caffe latte. It was a little uncomfortable having to ask for the food to be selected for you but I think the area was a little small for everyone to be choosing for themselves.

Our room was terrible. Had to step up a foot into the bathroom which was so small. No room to put anything and bedding and furniture needs a refresh. So disappointed.

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and respecting staff. Hands down the best staff on all 6 hotels I stayed at for this Italy trip. Hotel wise, it is in a great location for the 1st timer to Venice; it provides thoughtful little things like welcome snacks and chocolate on every room clean (good brand chocolate too), and breakfast takeaway bag if you have to leave early and cannot make it to the included breakfast. My only complain maybe the format of the buffet, you have to ask for what you want instead of getting your own, but seems hotel outsources that function so not so much in their control.

The Dining area needs more room, as well as the tables are pretty small and very close to each other as no room to move. You definitely need a toaster as most Canadians and other travelers need their bread toasted. Besides your bread was like a rock.. The choices were not that bad in terms of breakfast. The staff at the desk could not have been more helpful. They were delightful and helpful in every way. Housekeeping also were not only spot on with their cleaning but always pleasant and polite in the public areas. Breakfast was good but coffee would have been better had it not been instant especially as the coffee served us throughout Venice was superb.

We got stuck I. The smallest room on the planet. Not any room for a carry on to open. Had to put the tv table together with nightstand to take 2 carry one. Staff refused to move us - super rude man. Breakfast was a total inconvenience to all guests - had to wait for staff to serve in buffet style. Both of us hit our heads on the bed sconces. Bed cover and blankets were old and stinky. Closet was so small, had to remove most hangers to place 2 items inside. Refrigerator tiny and super difficult to access. Safe opened up which was a further inconvenience to access hanging items. Will never stay here again - and most of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Italy were great! We were told all rooms were as small as ours, and we noted that other rooms were much bigger - again rude man at lobby. My concierge was very nice! Sara was amazing by providing directions.

Considering this is a 3 star hotel the service my wife and I received was better than service I have received at many 5 star hotels. The team in this hotel are amazing, full of knowledge and always there to help.
The hotel is in a great location. Seconds to St Marks Square. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

This was my favorite place we stayed in Italy! Beautiful hotel. The room and bathroom were really nice, but the best part was the excellent service. The two gentleman working reception were very welcoming and so kind to spend time making recommendations for what to see and where to go. They gave fantastic information. It was also nice to have the bar service available anywhere we would like. They helped us call a water taxi for an early morning pickup, which was just 3-4 minutes of a straight walk from the hotel. It's conveniently located near one of the most famous squares and is in a district with high-end shopping and plenty of dining options. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Hotel Firenze was excellent. The staff there are amazing and very helpful to ensure that your stay in Venice is enjoyable and welcoming. Everyone at the front desk was a total professional and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location near San Marco and everythin is walkable to see. The water taxi dock to get back to the train station is a block away and very convenient.
The rooftop terrace offers very nice views of the area and the breakfasts each day were good. The rooms are a little on the small side, however quite comfortable, adequate and beautiful. It is a bit noisy out side the hotel in the morning with the delivery people moving carts and goods around early but thats the nature of Venice. Would absolutely stay there again next visit to Venice! thank you for a wonderful stay!

The bathroom was nicely remodeled and had an amazing shower head. The beds were really firm. The front desk people were extremely helpful. Excellent location, great, friendly, and hepful staff, nicely decorated room with Murano glass chandelier and tasteful Venetian style furnishings. Overall a good stay. The only major downsides were that frequent noises from other guests in adjacent rooms, from outside, or from working staff ocassionally made it difficult to sleep or fall back asleep. The rooms and windows / doors need to be much better insulated with better soundproofing. There is also no air conditioning, so we needed to open windows to stay cool. However, these windows lacked screens and we had several buzzing and biting mosquitoes enter the room while sleeping. The bathroom is also a bit cramped and the toilet was tightly situated in the corner by a window, making it hard to use for anyone that is tall or large. Breakfast room is also quite small / cramped and you can only have buffet items served to you by staff. The staff was excellent, however, but it was a bit awkward and uncomfortable. There is a very lovely roof terrace with beautiful city views, but largely vacant and you need to call for any food or drink service. Overall a decent 3 star hotel, but you are mostly paying for the location. Truly one of the best and most central locations in Venice for sightseeing! Steps from Piazza San Marco.

The staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. Wonderful Venetian Hotel!

Hotel staff are so welcoming and care for you during your entire stay. Rooms are Venetian size, so if you have a lot of luggage, it is challenging. The beds were the most comfortable of the 17 days I was in Europe, so that is saying a lot. The sunset on the terrace is dreamy. Highly recommend.

The hotel was in a brilliant location- close to ferries, easy to get to from the airport and from the train stations. 2 minute walk from San Marco. The staff were great and so helpful in providing recommendations. The breakfast was really tasty.

The only downsides are that you have to pay 3€ per person to have breakfast on the terrace (not mentioned on the page). And we had to pay city tax €3.5 per person per night during our stay.

The hotel was newly renovated. Bathroom was super clean and functional. Room was cleaned every day. You can walk to pretty much most of the must see places, restaurants and shops in minutes. Yet very quiet at night. You can go back to the hotel room anytime to take a break, or drop off stuff. It was so hot in June in Venice so this was really helpful to cool off and recuperate. Hotel staff was the best. So friendly and so helpful. They can make recommendations on where to go, eat and shop. Truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended to anyone.

Great location and some staff were nice.

However it was grossly over priced and exceedingly poor value for money.

The terrace was fairly unusable in that food had to be ordered 20 mins before, there was no shade and we were asked to carry our plates and glasses down two flights of stairs to stop the pigeons breaking them. The bathroom and shower were tiny. Guests were not allowed to serve themselves from the buffet - it was controlled by staff (this may have been to provide a personal service but staff were snappy with guests who went to get their own food). I’m addition, some staff were very grumpy.

The property was tucked away right in the heart of the city! Rooms were well appointed with modern bathrooms, and comfortable beds. Rooftop terrace was a lovely refuge for grabbing either a cocktail or coffee and in my case doing some doing work.. great views. Staff were kind, considerate and very helpful. The staff's restaurant suggestions were top notch. They really went out of there way to help me secure a 4:00 am water taxi to the airport, get a shirt ironed last minute etc... Fantastic experience overall.
