The room wasn't very clean. There were dust bunnies on the wall. Visible mold in the bathroom ceiling, stains on the rug in the hallway by the elevator.

I like how they supply unlimited amenities & a dining hall that is available to use most of the time (and can purchase breakfast). Location is unbeatable, down the street from the market/mall and train station.

Great location; short walk to train station & shopping streets. But the hotel is very dated and there were black mold on the wall under the window, dusty by the windows, AC vents, and over the shower vent. The bathtub is very tall and narrow, but the ceiling is very low; a person teller than 5'7\" will not be able to stand upright inside shower stall.

Pleasant stay with excellent location

Hotel is conveniently located with plenty of dining options and shopping within walking distance. Small room and hotel's overall condition was dated. There's a tiny public bath. Certain toiletries like hairbrush, toothbrush and drinks (tea, coffee, etc) were self-serve at the lobby. There's limited and expensive parking but the staff recommended us a public 24h carpark that was cheaper. A pleasant stay overall.

Noisy. Just so, so noisy

My room was facing the main road and it was so so noisy. Constant traffic noise, no sound proofing, windows single glazed, very old building. Impossible to get any sleep.

The hotel itself is exceptionally dated and tired.

I cannot stress this enough, the room was nigh uninhabitable. It was musky and damp,with dark mildew stains growing on the wallpaper. The bathroom fan was broken, which left us with a fuzzy, mold-blackened shower curtain. The stench of mildew and ancient, stale cigarette smoke was so strong that even after a refreshing onsen visit, we were immediately stressed by our room conditions. We ended up avoiding using the bathroom entirely and only using the onsen facilities due to the fear of the black mold. The bed that we had was hard and springy. I've had pull-out couch beds that had more plushness to them. The mattress was more similar to a hard cot than anything and gave me back discomfort.
That being said, the onsen facilities were delightful, and the staff were also very kind. Though, if you have the misfortune of booking one of the cheapest rooms, be wary of the room conditions.

property should be removed from Expedia app. the pictures shown is not what it is. Everything filty ,smelly and elevator is non functioning properly closed on my daughter’s head .We checked in and run out as soon as we get in to the room….please don’t stay or booked in this hotel…they won’t refund our money but our safety is the priority….

There was a hvac unit on top of the bathroom that made noise an shook. There was a constant ticking noise so we closed the door. One of the breakfast options included steak. The building is older and worn. Our room had people talking outside that was a bother.

My visit to Nagoya was very brief, but this hotel's excellent location and good service added to the experience. I came to Nagoya by Japan Rail's Shinkansen, and I'll admit Nagoya Station is daunting. For some reason, I just could not figure out how to get from the JR area to the subways. So I took a taxi to the hotel. It wasn't that far, nor too expensive. Once there, I could see that Osu Kannon subway station (on the blue Tsurumai Line) is just a couple blocks up the street heading north. Maps inside that station allowed me to get my bearings. Though one transfer is required to get to Nagoya Station, subway trains here are frequent and inexpensive. I picked this hotel because of it's proximity to Electric Lady Land, a small venue by the north end of the subway station, where I enjoyed a fantastic rock concert. The next morning, after having steak with my breakfast voucher (!), the Engish speaking woman who served me took the time to look up Nagoya Castle and assured me that it was open and easily reachable by subway. Definitely worth a visit! There's also the mightily impressive Osu-kannon Temple right next door to the hotel as well. Storage lockers (useful after checkout) are available in the subway stations. I should note that the hotel building itself is showing it's age, especially the hallways, but everything was very clean and adequate to my fairly basic needs and all the staff were professional and efficient.

It doesn’t mean it’s never been smoking room

Non-smoking room doesn’t mean it’s never been smoking room.

Their non-smoking room was full of smoking smell and plus very dirty room. No windows to open.

I asked if there is any different room not to have strong smell however, the response from staff was not nice and I felt sick in the room and end up I checked out before use the room.

I am sorry but I wouldn’t book this hotel anymore.

チェックイン時、エクスペディアの予約直後にお伺いしたせいか名前が確認できないと間違えていないかなんども確認されました。また、禁煙にも関わらず部屋がタバコくさく、また汚い・・・蚊もいました。チェックアウトの際に鍵を持ってフロントの方に”チェックアウトをお願いします”とお伝えすると、急に”おけー！”と笑顔で返されました。。。外国人だと思われたのでしょうか・・・失礼すぎてあっけにとられました。笑

For what I was planning to do the location was perfect. Close to Osu. The front desk staff was very helpful. The bed was a little hard but if you are tired enough you will not even notice. In all a good place to stay. Would definetly stay again if I am in the area.

WiFi service had a problem however the hotel staff failed to inform their guests.
I have stayed here many times and I had no complaints however , they made a diff policy regarding make up of room. The staff no longer cleans the room instead they leave towels, tea and water at the doorstep.

the room is old and small. mattress is too soft. due to the lack of maintenance corridor and public facilities, i was hesitated to use the water boiler.
the hot spring is good and in well maintenance. surprised to see wide selection of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.
breakfast comes in free and serve with grilled beef. the quality is low, given it’s for free.

Great hotel if you are traveling on a budget. Free daily steak breakfast. 200m from the closest subway station. Right next to Osu Kannon shopping district. A 7-11 within 50m. Well-maintained bath house on the 2nd floor. Or triple bed bedroom was small but adequate and the beds were comfortable. The only downside for the location is that it always take at least one or two transfers to get anywhere. As for the hotel, the fridge in the room was never cold, the elevator is really tiny, and the AC filter should be cleaned. Do note that the breakfast coupon will only be given to you when you get your room keys from the front desk after turning them in when you leave for the day. We had no idea about that and missed 2 days of breakfast. Also, it is not written anywhere, but it seems that free bottled water will only be provided if you don't require them to clean up the room.

Newly renovated. Close to restaurants (yummy Ramen), so easy access just by walking around the numerous tourist destinations and shopping arcade :) f you have hand carry bags only, perfect to explore subway and then express train going straight to Nagoya Airport.

Convenient and good enough for family travel

Convenient location for subway travel throughout Nagoya, and walking distance to the Nagoya Science Museum, which is fantastic. The hotel itself seems a bit old, the room was small, and we had ceiling pipes clanging above our heads both nights as we tried to go to sleep. The front desk service was a bit slow, and they ran out of humidifiers so that we couldn't get one for our room (we had 2 kids and an infant, so a humidifier in the cold weather would have been very nice). The included breakfast is just hot dogs and french fries, which even our kids weren't too excited about. But the onsen (men's/women's public baths) were nice and were a great way to wrap up busy sightseeing days.

As far as Japanese hotels go, this one had a lot of room but the beds and pillows were not comfortable. There is not a closet nor are there any drawers to put clothes into. There is a small refrigerator in the room and many restaurants/convenience stores right by the hotel.
The parking is off site so you must park and walk to the hotel, approx 5-10 minutes.
Decent breakfast is included in the rate.

There are two wifi routers in the corridor, but still it's not strong enough to reach the corner rooms.
The rooms on the 2nd floor is very noisy.
Only the rooms on the 2nd floor have been renovated, the rooms on the other floors still very old
Triple room costs around HK$900 per night, just not worth it.

Good and bad about Hotel Abest.

Location is very good. My room is small but it's clean and provided a safe place for me to stay.

But poor service for the staff. I asked them to keep my box for my stuff and it was returned to me with holes in it. They didn't inform me and just handed me my box which I later complained.

I tried to ship the box to the airport and I arranged it with them only to find out they didn't ship it because I needed to pay Y648 which was their mistake bec they gave me the wrong computation.

당시 4인 가족이 함께 잘 수 있는 가장 저렴한 곳이었음
직원은 친절하고 대욕장이 있는 것은 큰 장점.
객실 컨디션은 좋다고 얘기 못하겠음.
객실이 좁아서 캐리어 펼칠 공간이 넉넉하지 않음. 외부에서 음식을 사오면 객실에서 먹지 말고 1층 식당에서 먹는 것이 좋음.
물건이 떨어져 주우려고 침대 밑을 보게되었는데 묵은 먼지가 엄청났던...

Super nice with a common area next to the reception including complementary drink and soup. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and had put up a stand by the elevator with complementary amenities.
However, the room wasn’t that well cleaned, it was very noisy in the room (people in the hallway shouting, smacking doors, cleaning, etc)., and there were a lot of kids, which emptied out the drink section, cried and shouted a lot, and en general created a very bad environment.
And the window in the room couldn’t close all the way, so it was very cold and with a lot of street noise!
But all in all a good place to stay.

朝食付きで予約して、当日カレーか普通のモーニングかステーキが選べてステーキにしました。
ご飯やスープ、ドリンクなどは自分で食べられるだけ頂けるのでとても満足感が高かったです。
お肉も鉄板で出てくるので熱々で美味しかったです。
ウェルカムドリンクや帰り際にお土産を頂いたり、アメニティなども色々用意されておりサービスが良いと感じました。
近くには鳩がフレンドリーな神社がありました。有料ですが餌を購入して与える事が出来ました。
とても良かったです。

部屋はスーツケースを広げるスペースがなく狭く感じました。
こういうホテルの客室の風呂は狭いので、スパがあるのは良かったです。
女性風呂はカードキーがないと入れないので、防犯上も安心でした。
チェックアウト時にお菓子のお土産をいただき、スタッフが玄関まで見送ってくれて丁寧だと感じました。

栄でのハロウィンや、ジブリまで出かけてのんびり気分を味わう事が出来、大浴場にも朝晩2回入れてリフレッシュ出来ました。

お部屋がホコリっぽく、窓も開けれなかったので、空気の入れ替えが出来なかったのと、化粧水などアメニティの種類がもう少し欲しいですね。スパは良かったです。
