The hotel is beautiful! The guest staff were wonderful! The cleaning staff lacked good work & coming when we had asked for towels. Yesterday we asked our trash, glasses, & towels be changed. We even put everything together by the door for them.
We were gone for 4hrs. we came back they never came. The front desk made them come up. It was clean room mostly but it lacked areas that they need to clean more. like the edges of the sinks & corners.

They assigned us a room on the 5th floor with the elevator out of commission. We had to walk through the kitchen to the service elevator. Our shower didn’t have soap in the dispenser and they never did fill it over our 3 days.

The staff were incredibly kind, observant and helpful. The room was very clean. Shower tiles could use some maintenance, but they were clean. The Three Owls restaurant/bar was excellent, although severely understaffed. But those working were very nice, and the food and drinks were excellent. I will definitely be returning, and I will recommend to friends and family.

Then Danielle which was so helpful in helping with my room a d made helpful ideas with my disability. Once I saw her I had remembered seeing her previously when I stayed. The Elms is for sure a must stay destination. The staff went the extra mile all the time. The historical charm was a big draw. The property was so beautiful to walk around. Out door pool was closed for the season but that will bring us back during the summer. The hot tub is open until midnight. We used the spa and it was worth it. The city is fun to stroll through and explore the historic downtown.

The Hotel was great as usual. Great room, comfortable bed, wonderful amenities. However, there were a few thingswe werent as happy with this stay. We go the Elms twice a year, once in March for our anniversary and once earky December for my birthday. We have done this for over 10 years. We were put on the 1st floor, which I thought was going to be a perk. However, the 1st floor rooms were up a steep ramp above the actual 1st floor which was difficult to walk. At the top of the ranp was a room service tray stacked with dirty dishes. It remained there the first day. The morning of our second day, a housekeeping cart was parked next to the room service tray, but it remained there another full day before the tray was removed from the floor. And the christmas decorations were a little bit of a letdown.This year. When the elm's hotel was independently owned, it was decorated over the top to the hilt every year. Since it has been taken over by sheraton, it's tastefully done, but not near as many decorations. I love decorations, and that's the whole point of me going there.In December. I hope that they maybe add a few more decorations back in the front glass entryway and the lobby. Overall we love the Elmas hotel!

Got to the elms ,hadnt been here in yrs but was excited to be here ,but got to the room wasnt happy with the the shower area in room mold all over the shower i ask to move to another room why cant establish check out rooms to see if things are up to standards . Mold is toxic when i go to hotels i dont like to see any mold !

Wonderful spa! Hotel not so much. I was expecting a 4 star Hyatt. But it is more like 2 stars. Restaurants had kimited menus and poor food. I sent mine back. The bed was uncomfortable and had the worst quality of bedding!!

We enjoyed our night at the Elms in late August. The rooms were updated & comfy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely - it would be a beautiful location for a fall getaway. They have a nice pool, hot tub, several fire pits & conversation areas for guests. One thing to be aware of - there is one small elevator for 5 floors. It wasn’t a problem while we were there, but it could be an issue for a large group. I would absolutely go back!

We had such a surprising and relaxing weekend at The Elms. Our favorite was the spa and grotto. We appreciated that the staff did make rounds in the grotto, to remind some of the bachelorette party members to keep voices down. The food was good, the suites were spacious, and the grounds were very well kept. The morning Cafe/coffee bar is in desperate need of staff, but they managed despite the long line. Overall, we would stay again!

Although the room was okay, it was a bit small, and the bathroom was particularly small. The shower was tiny and the area around its base was very oxidized and could benefit from an update.

Since I’m terrified of the paranormal and there was nothing in the description or explanations on hotels.com to outline/detail the paranormal activity along with nightly paranormal tours, I booked and had to pay ahead as required by this hotel. Had I not paid ahead, once I knew about the paranormal activity, I would have skeedaddled! It made me very anxious and uncomfortable and despite the beautiful spa, I won’t be staying at The Elms again!

It was a hot summer day so we understand the pool being crowded but there was noisy dance music playing instead of relaxing music. It was difficult to hold a conversation due to the volume.

Great hotel BUT NOT FOR KIDS
Honestly this hotel is not for families at all. Breakfast is available but NOT included. Our dinner took 45 minutes to get to us and when it did arrive my roasted carrots were dry and raw. Also never been to a restaurant that has a bread plate in the table but doesn’t serve bread.

Check-in was smooth and quick. They were able to check us in early which was really nice. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Outside of our room 2 room service tray’s full of food were on the floor the entire time we were there. They were never picked up and they weren’t ours. The pool was nice but extremely busy. There were no chairs available but we made the best out of it. Before dinner we used the bikes they have at the hotel to ride around. It was super fun and relaxing. We decided to do the Ghost tour. We showed up in the Lobby at 9pm along with about 50 other guest. There were entirely too many people and it definitely took away from the ambiance of a ghost tour. I also thought the price tag of 25 bucks a person was absolutely ridiculous considering we walked around the property and listened to stories. In the morning we ate at the Three Owls restaurant inside the hotel. They had a breakfast buffet with waffles, biscuits and gravy, French toast, eggs, potatoes fruit and a host of pastry’s. The food was good but was a little pricey. For 3 people Buffett and 3 coffee’s and our bill was 90$ with tip. Overall it’s a great hotel and I would go back for weekend.

Nice historic hotel. Rooms nice. Spa nice. Little concerned about the safety of the hotel. Several people were witnessed coming in from outside gates who did not appear to be hotel guests. Key card pad on outside door did not work to get into indoor pool. They just walked in. We mentioned this to the front desk attendant who said, \"yeah none of the key pads work but I dont get paid enough to care about that.\" All was find during our say, but for a nice hotel, I do feel like that is something you should care about.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained hotel, and the staff are professional, helpful, and friendly. However, as a guest in a standard room, I felt like a second class citizen. The room had 2 queen beds which, theoretically, would mean 4 people could stay there, but the room had 1 packet of powdered cream and sugar for coffee and one desk chair, plus two small ottomans which served as tables, but certainly were not good for seating. We were also told that other rooms got real coffee mugs but our room was only supposed to have paper cups. I can’t imagine why Hyatt would want to make guests feel unworthy of the same treatment as everyone else.
