It was very nice and affordable. The staff were very friendly and nice especially Marco. There’s also metro station like 10mins walk from the hotel and there’s unguarded public parking st your own risk and there’s the hotel underground parking for a token. All in all, I highly recommend Novotel hotel Roma. The breakfast was very good and kids eat free

Non mi è piaciuta la stanza che per quattro persone era troppo piccola. Secondo me la camera era da due, poi hanno aperto il divano ed è diventata da quattro, ma a quel punto non riuscivamo più a muoverci. Tra l'altro il materasso del divano letto era molto scomodo. Sinceramente da un hotel quattro stelle prenotato otto mesi prima e non pagato poco, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più, considerando che si trova ad una ventina di chilometri dal centro di Roma.La tenda oscurante era rotta in alto per cui non si chiudeva bene e di conseguenza al mattino alle 6.00 entrava la luce impedendomi di dormire.

I have seen many bad reviews about this hotel but I can now actually recommend it if you are looking for something outside the city centre, peaceful, convenient.
The service is great: quick support (email or in person), kind and helpful.
Rooms have all the essentials, also for families. Beds are quite comfy. If you need a crib just request it and it will be there, a good size cot. Good quality shampoo and shower gel.
We used the hotel carpark rather than the free one and it's so much easier as it's underground.

No transport access, no information about tickets for public transport and no directions and guidance on how you can get to Rome. Taxi is too expensive and the roads are terrible to walk.

Not a great hotel at all. The Pool never gets Sunshine. Whoever put the Pool on that side of the hotel is surely no longer in a job. Service is bad and the place is isolated with no late services such as even a Vending machine. If you come in late hungary/thirsty theres nothing in the Hotel and no shops, supermarkets or Take aways anywhere close.

We loved staying at this hotel. The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety to choose from. The area where it is located doesn’t look that great and even though it is close to the metro station I wouldn’t walk over there (specially at night). We didn’t have a problem with that because we rented a vehicle for which they offer free parking. The room was good and clean, but the bathroom (especially the tub) needs an urgent facelift. We had dinner at the hotel which was good but a little expensive. Would definitely come back there.

The amenities at this hotel were great! Excellent pool, A/C, parking availability, and room quality/size. Breakfast quality/variety was well priced and great. Lunch/dinner menu was limited and not great. Location was difficult - too far from city, poor road conditions (many pot holes), unsafe area, not close to stores or mass transit, etc. I would stay here again for the amenities alone. The staff was very nice.

The staff were lovely and friendly, all facilities were decent. The breakfast and the pool was definitely the highlight of the hotel! Drinks and food rather expensive for saying there's nothing else close by to the hotel. They were more than happy for us to order takeaway to be delivered though and eat and drink our own things around the hotel. The biggest downfall is that there's not much in terms of shops or public transport close by, the train station is only a 10 minute walk away though but that's all. It would be amazing if there was a shuttle to take people into Rome to make it easier for families.
Overall we are happy with our stay and would likely go again 😁

What can I say? Bitterly disappointed and very upset about choosing this hotel for creating lifetime memories for my daughter and myself. The location of the Novotel is extremely inconvenient to the point where I actually ordered an Uber taxi to pick us up from the airport because we could not find, the way to the hotel it was that poorly managed. The signage from the train station was non-existent and in the searing heat with my teenage daughter I was forced to walk on a road with an inappropriate pathway with suitcases. I want a refund if you want to see the sites of Rome without spending copious amounts of money, on taxis then do not stay at this hotel. I made the move and stayed in the heart of Rome and I’ve never looked back. What a waste of money on this hotel.

I absolutely don't recommend it's far from everything and you will be spending more money on umbers. Which rage between 60eur to 110eur. If you don't care them the hotel was nice. Also are bathroom smelled like cigarettes.

It’s far from city. If you want to take a train which is 12 min walk you have to walk on the street with no side walk and share the road with fast moving cars which is not safe. This unsafe road also goes from between the bushes with no building around and it’s very unsafe specially in night.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Hotel and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it, especially if you have a family or if you plan to explore the city. While the staff at the hotel were friendly and personable, they were the only positive aspect of my experience.

One major issue was transportation. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, as we wanted to rely on public transportation during our visit. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the train station was under construction and not available for use. This was a significant inconvenience for my family, as we had to rely on expensive Ubers and taxis to get around. In fact, we ended up spending €900 in transportation costs during our four-day stay. The hotel did not provide any compensation for this inconvenience, aside from a simple apology. It would have been appreciated if they had offered alternatives or complimentary services to offset the transportation expenses.

In terms of safety, there were a couple of concerning incidents. On our first night, as my parents and young daughters were exiting the elevator, they encountered a man lying on the ground with people around him. This made us feel extremely unsafe. Additionally, the hotel's location in an industrial area with poorly lit streets made us hesitant to walk to nearby train stations. It did not feel like a family-friendly environment.

Expedia should be ashamed to do business or recommend this location.

The property was clean and has enough space for 2 people.Stayed for 4 nights.On our check on day we had a hard time going to the area,its says close to the train station,yes oeople can actually walk to the hotel but we are not aware that the main road was closed.The hotel made a small road in the middle of tall grasses wherein if you are not familiar with the area you will not really notice it because the sign was so small.We have to walk all the way in the main road with our heavy luggages in the middle of a very hot day.If you plan to check-in late at night then take a taxi (which is expensive) don’t dare walk in the middle of the tall grass filed coz its scary.The hotel could have a shuttle that would drive their guest to and from the train station even if they will charge with few euros I’m sure guest will not mind it.The hotel does not have an easy acces to food,only their restaurant which I’m sure not everyone wants to pay that much.My husband have to walk few miles just to get us something to eat.If you are looking for space and cleanliness this is the place.

No AC after midnight. Yeah! They turn off the air conditioner between midnight and 6:00 am. It is unbearably humid and if you open the window you will get eaten alive by mosquitoes.
Be ready to spend at least $100 euros a day getting to and from hotel to center of Rome.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. You have to walk along a chalk path cut out of a farmer's field to get there from the station. There are no local amenities, meaning that you are essentially hostage to the hotel's over-inflated prices for meals. If you are with a child, do not expect the hotel to leave towels for them. If you run out of shower gel, they'll just give you a frsh bottle and expect you to cope, rather than actually get someone to replace the one mounted on the wall. Other than reception, the staff seem to see customers as an inconvinience, and don't expect the breakfast foods to be kept well-stocked unless there are tour groups in, especially on a Sunday. And how can they justify charging Rome City Tax when you have to walk past a sign showing end of Rome city limits to get to the hotel?
Public transport is poor, and the only good thing about it is the outdoor pool, although that's only a good point at certain times of the year.
A HUGE disappointment after the Novotel we stayed in in Prague.

Location is a nightmere if you are a tourist relying on public transport. Carpets are worse than 2 star hotels. They charged higher tourist tax than hotels in Roma Tirmini area. We went as a family and had to change to a hotel in Roma Tirmini for convenience, so we had to pay for two hotels.
A local taxi driver said th hat La Rustica is a serious crime area.
We had the worst experience of hotels at this place i feel like writing to Novotel head office of our experience.
I wish Expedia could do something for its loyal customers.

Rooms are good size and with a comfortable bed. Shower is a little hit and miss with temperature but the biggest disappointment is the food. There is no other restaurant near by so they have a captive audience. The choice is a little limited but there is no excuse for tepid, almost cold food. I had the experience of the worst carbonara ever on my last visit, looked disgusting and tasted bland at best. Avoid breakfast around 7am as there are often many many Chinese tourists there at that time.

Amazing modern looking property, very clean, spotless actually, with all the facilities you will need for a comfortable stay. The owner filippo made sure you had everything you needed, cot bed, extra pillows etc and was very friendly and told us where the nearby supermarkets were, local attractions, good restaurants etc. Wonderful communication from the host, quick replies to any queries you may have. Would definitely recommend and stay here again, was a home away from home.

It's a lovely hotel and well placed for business on the out skirts of Rome or quick access to a train station to get you into the centre and the metro system within about 30 minutes.

The location of the building is a bit under developed (shall we say) so nothing nearby or walking distance without getting a taxi or train.

This is a business orientated hotel, there are certainly much better options for the tourists.

The hotel was very kid-friendly. They had a pool table, air hockey table, foosball table, and a shallow swimming pool. The staff was very helpful. The only complaint was that it was far from the center or Rome. It took about 30€ to get to the Piazzale delle Canestre by taxi. They have a shuttle bus that can take you to a nearby metro station. It runs twice in the morning and twice in the evening.

First let me say I spend 9 days in this hotel. The hotel is OK for a night stay. The rooms are a typical Rome size, not big to walk around , but good for a night.

The hotel is about 30 mins from Downtown Rome and the nearest market/mall is about 10 minutes in car. The hotel does not have ice makers(or ice machines), water will cost you 2.5 euros and a coke 4.5 euros. The breakfast which you have to pre-pay for your stay, is sold as a buffet, there are pictures of waffles and fresh fruit all over the building for breakfast, but in reality the breakfast only has breads, little sausages and uncooked bacon, gels, ham, cheese, cereal, coffee and 2 juices, in addition to bananas and apples.

The hotel receives at least a tour bus a day, so plan your breakfast accordingly or you will end up with leftovers.

There’s no air conditioning. I was told the weather was not hot enough. I’d say that’s for the guest to decide. It’s in a run down area of Rome, though much of Rome is. The hotel breakfast was acceptable. Eggs were not. It was ok for us, I speak Italian and we had a car.

Worst ever stay in a so called 4 star hotel.
We stayed in novotels subsequently from tiergarten Berlin, Hoofddorp Amsterdam Paris est ..but this novotel rome eat should be removed from a list of the accorhotels brand. Doesn't worth even a to be called say novotel guesthouse.
Colds rooms, cold lounge, when we asked the said will heat at 5pm.
Food expensive and we all had to wait for 4hrs before chef would come to cook. Then said they will be ready on table 7 o'clock dinner ..when we went downstairs we found the whole hotel staff eating. We had food poisoning by the night. Children vomiting till midday stopped by hospital. Door card lock tempered, doesn't close to lock safely. Italian job!! Avoid this novotel hostel like ghetto hotel.

The only remark is that unfortunately the breakfast was not included in my reservation. There wasn't any such indication for the missing breakfast when confirming the order. It should be clearer in the website.

Hotel was good but we did not spend a lot of time there.One morning went down to have breakfast an hour before closing and just about everything was empty and no one was filling anything. We left.

Horrible Location .I will never use Expedia agaun .This was so far from anything and boy did the Jotel take advantage of tbat .We had to pay Over 80 Ruro for taxi into center of town .We left after seeing how dangerous the locationwas .No way to safely and affordably get around .Very isolated .We left and got another Hotel on Town .3 nights paid for that we DIDN'T stay .I googled Hotels near Europa Mall and this one came up .It WAS near nothing . EXPEDIA YOU DONT CARE FOR YOUR COSTOMERS AT ALL .

Hotel is nice and clean, beautiful pool, free underground secure parking. Close to the highway, but there is nothing close enough to walk to. We found a wonderful pizza parlor about a 5 minute drive away.
