I recently stayed at The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai, and had an exceptional experience. The property is beautifully maintained, with every area feeling clean, modern, and welcoming. The hotel’s location is outstanding—close enough to walk to many major tourist attractions, yet set just far enough from the busiest parts of the city to provide a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.

What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, motivated, and genuinely dedicated to providing great service. The team at the Westin Club Lounge deserves special recognition for their attentiveness and professionalism. I would especially like to highlight Gloria Ma, whose warm hospitality and exceptional service made my stay even more memorable.

Overall, I highly recommend The Westin Bund Center for anyone visiting Shanghai. It’s a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and outstanding service. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip.

The good morning ladies.las friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. It’s however basic. The location is pretty spot on and easy to go to nanjing road shopping and to yuyuan garden and metro station. I asked for a didi to maglev in the morning and the staff didn’t let me know when it was not booked as it was necessary. All in all, great hotel to stay. Great location and we'll appointed room with all the Heavenly products. Check in was not so good as my room was not available then so had to wait. Then got asked if I need someone to bring our suitcases up to the room? It's a 5 star property so that should have been an automatic thing.

My stay at The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai was very pleasant thanks to its convenient location close to major attractions and shopping areas. The staff was excellent—exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed assistance. While the Deluxe Suite was spacious and comfortable, the décor felt slightly outdated and could benefit from a refresh. Overall, it was a good stay with outstanding service and an unbeatable location.

After looking at pictures of the hotel was expecting it to be exceptional, but unfortunately this was not the case.

The service from staff was adequate but not amazing compared to other hotels in a similar price range. An exception was one young woman servicing the breakfast who provided great customer service.

A key letdown was the room itself, which was dated, dark and did not seem to be that clean, particularly the furniture and carpets. The floor in the bathroom and shower was slippy - though there was a sign that identified this to be the case.

The location is convenient to access two Metro stations Yuyuan Garden and East Nanjing Road and is within walking distance of the Pearl River area.

1. We arrived 3:45pm (check-in time starts at 3:00pm) and we were told that our room is not ready and we have to wait.
2. I paid \"City View\" and we got a room on 6th floor and the only view we had was the wall of the opposite building.

We stayed in R805 from May 19-25,2025 and we had a good experience in our area except that the refrigerator has been changed 2x and the aircon was not working well. We have to call the engineer to fix it. The ceiling was dripping in the bed near the restroom. The rest are excellent- the staff services,the concierge staff are excellent especially James. The rest are outstanding. We would recommend our friends here if the rooms are properly okay.

The location is good.
Walkable for most of the things you need in shanghai as shopping , bars , restaurants etc' ..
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The quality of the breakfast can e better, and i was on the 19th floor and i felt like the rag is smelling and it cause the hallway to be not a fun walk towards the rooms, even the room itself need to change the rags. It was semlly but not so bad. In general this is the only 2 things,
I stayed for 10 days in this hotel.

Water pressure and temperature was good. However, furnishings and carpet feels that it has not been refreshed for a long time.

For the price of the accommodation, we would prefer more dedicated services, such as opening of car doors or entrance doors. Only some will. On our arrival, no one helped to open the car doors or unload our luggages or open the hotel doors. A bell boy only came to help us when we were mid way checking in. But on check out, there was a bellboy that asked if we needed assistance, and another that offered to help load the luggages. Service standards could be improved and further streamlined. Not all staff looked friendly too, Many seemed to be just standing around and ignoring the guests, only greeting some guest.

Unlikely to stay here again for this price and such inconsistent service even though the room was sufficiently comfortable.

The hotel was great! Large rooms with great views of the Bund or the Yu Yuan marketplace. Three blocks from train station and 10 min walk to Yu Yuan garden. Hotel staff were true professionals who made us feel welcomed. Finally had a chance to enjoy the Spa as well! Lots of local restaurants as you walk towards Bund. Highly recommend.

The Westin Bund centre is ideally located. It’s 10 min walk from the Bund. Walking distance to both the shopping street and Yuyuan garden.

Location of this hotel was excellent. Room was clean, decent sized and breakfast had a good selection of food. This was topped by staff which were courteous and accommodating. We were travelling as a couple with a young toddler and it was a shame we only had a short stay planned this trip. We will definitely be back again for a longer trip. Special shout out to Reina and Away whom made this trip extra memorable for us.

Airconditioning was stuck at 24 degrees. Our other room was really hot so they moved my hubby to a junior suite,. Here airconditioning was better but Still not cool enough.
It was winter in Shanghai but the rooms need not be warm and stuffy.
Loved the bed, the small touches of this 5-Star hotel. Good location too. They called us a taxi to anywhere, we never took a subway as Taxis are Cheap here. We enjoyed a lot.

First time booking a hotel in Shangrila but is it actually a normal protocol to have cleaning staff come barging in a room if after few knocks no one answers? Kind of an unusual experience for us especially when we put in the do not disturb sign. Luckily, my husband is there and the cleaning lady just said, \"hi, you want coffee?\". Weird, when there's literally a coffeemaker in the room. We called it in the front desk and we got a return call from the manager stating its a normal protocol to come in and \"check\" the room if no one answers. Honestly I dont think its normal protocol and definitely would not be booking here again for safety and privacy reasons.
