Absolutely terrible. When we first checked in (which took over 20 min) we were given a key card for a room that someone was already occupying. When we were finally assigned a room that wasn’t occupied (another 15min) The room was dirty with cigarette ashes, only 1 towel, no coffee maker. The ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart! We dropped our stuff went to get dinner. Came back an hr later, someone was opening our door with a key given to them by the same staff that checked us in. This was around 9pm, we finally fall asleep then there is a loud commotion around 1:30 am as another guest once again tries opening our door and the same staff member that checked us in began knocking on our door loudly, I told them the room was occupied. As there was no sign provided to put on the door. I was unable to go back to sleep the rest of the night. When we checked out I tried talking to the staff but was ignored by an employee on their phone so I left the key card and walked out. Worst best western I’ve ever been to.

I’m guessing the hotel is great. My one star rating is for hotels.com. I had an email from hotels.com with my reservation. But the hotel never received it from hotels.com. I can’t trust hotels.com - there’s no way to be certain that the reservation made it to the hotel (with taking an extra step). Then there was no way to contact anyone but an unhelpful bot at hotels.com to try and resolve my reservation issue.

Our go to when playing at soda springs resort. Beds are super comfy and rooms are nice. The area is very convenient. Breakfast was not as good as usual. I don’t know if they didn’t plan for the number of guests. But several things were out by 8am and were not replenished before 9 when it closed. Staff is nice and parking I easy.

Our check in was fairly smooth and our room is spacious with a nice chaise sofa. Unfortunately, we had trouble getting into our room as we almost needed to slam down the handle in order for the door to fully open. They didn’t have the right number if towels we needed and when I asked for more, they only had small pool towels available. Sadly, the cleaning staff wasn’t thorough in thei cleaning as there was a use tool hanging behind the door which I had to bring to the front desk to get rid of.

Always my go to - it’s half way between the Bay Area (where I work) and Reno (where I live) so on those occasions when it’s too late and I’m too tired to drive all the way home, this is my spot. Clean, comfy and super convenient highway access and Starbucks is only 3 blocks away when it’s time to roll the next morning.

The room itself was pretty basic. There were stains on the carpet, some carpet pieces coming up from the floor, and rips in the curtains. The shampoo in the shower was empty but we had our own to use. Please note: The staff (especially the people who put the breakfast out and maintained it) were extremely nice and friendly. This property was dirty on the outside, dirty on the inside the sheets stained and look like they hadn’t been cleaning the room looks like it had been clean. I had the guy change out my sheets and he changed them out to more stained sheets. I checked for bug bugs luckily it didn’t see me but what I did see was a rat catcher and Nasty food. I couldn’t sleep there. I asked for a refund because I was only there for 45 minutes yet they said they would give me one of my pet 25 dollars. I haven’t seen with it showed good reviews in the numeric numbers. But if you look at actually everybody’s write up about it, everybody has the same disgusting and poor conditions

The hotel is convenient, and the room has everything you need. Unfortunately, due to its proximity to the highway, you can hear road noise and trucks throughout the night. Adding some trees between the highway and the hotel could help dampen the noise and improve the overall experience.

There was no hand soap when we arrived. It seemed as if there was barely any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The drawer has no handle so it was difficult to open. There were ants everywhere in the room. Finally, there were items left over from the last people who stayed in the room; a redvine tucked in between the couch and the wall, and a stick of some sort underneath the couch.

The location to skiing/snow play is great. Just off I-80. Staff was friendly and helpful. The price was good. There were good dining options nearby. We had dinner at Il Pizzaiolo, which was fantastic. Parking was easy and plentiful. Breakfast was decent. Waffles, eggs, sausage, hot and cold cereal, toast, muffins, almond and cow's milk, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, and juices. Elevators were convenient. The beds were fine and rooms clean. The bathroom had mold, water damage on the ceiling, and the shower was not very clean.

The bathroom shower had paint stains, and the toiletries were all empty. We had to ask for refills but the hotel management weren't to happy when the housekeeper tried to help us. I felt like the management was super stingy in giving out normal amenities such as extra towels as we were a family of 4 that stayed in for four nights. We also had to ask for extra blankets and pillows, they didn't seem to be happy with that either. I think the management needs to take some hospitality and customer service classes so they know how to treat their guests right. The housekeeping staff was great. No issues with them. Just the owner and management team.
