This hotel is situated to the north of the beautiful Lüneburger Heide landscape (some 10 km away) and near to the exciting city of Hamburg which can be reached in just 30 minutes by car or train. Buchholz train station and pedestrianised city centre are both just a short walk from the hotel's doors.
The design hotel comprises 46 elegantly arranged rooms and 2 luxurious suites. The hotel has a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe and lift access.
There are 7 meeting rooms for up to 200 people, as well as an on-site café, bar and a restaurant. WiFi is available in the whole hotel.
Laundry service and an undercover parking garage are all available for an additional fee. The Restaurant is a modernly designed in-house restaurant providing typical regional cuisine as well as international dishes.

Fint hotel med god pool.
Fint hotel med god morgenmad og fine værelser, pænt og rent overalt. Vi havde en suite til 4 pers. (311) Der var en dobbeltseng som let kan deles i 2 senge da der er hjul under hver seng. I stuen var både sovesofa - vi dog ikke brugte. Oveni var der også 2 enkeltsenge (rejsesenge) i stuen. Behagelige madrasser. Lækker pool 1,40 cm. Hvis I som os er børnefamilie og gerne vil bruge poolen før dagsturen og om aftenen, skal man dog være opmærksom på at den flere gange om ugen bruges til vandgymnastik(hovedsaligt ældre mennesker) og det lige fra 9-12 morgen og igen 17-20 aften og desværre havde træneren heller ikke travlt med at få dem ud af poolen, vi måtte vente 20-30min efter kl. 12 den ene dag, hvilket desværre trækker ned i stjerner. Dette burde oplyses på bookingsider.

Very cosy room in a small and friendly hotel. Excellent place for excursions to a.o. Hamburg, but with the possibility to make a 30 minute train journey in the evening for a quiet and cosy stay. Don’t miss the restaurant close buy with an excellent Afghani kitchen.

So, I had to find a receipt to prove it was paid.
Also, I had asked at check-in if breakfast was included with my room (I could not remember) & was told yes.
However, at check-out I was told no and was charged.
I was not happy, as the breakfast was expensive & very poor. Many things had run out, including the bread, the cheese, the fruit salad and fruit yogurt.
This experience at the end spoilt my stay.

This has been a \"Go to\" property for us. It is great value for the money. It is getting a bit \"Tired\". The staff is always great. Restaurant and shopping are near by. You can easily walk to the train station and ride into Hamburg on the Metronom train.

Vi var på familjeresa och behövde ett stopp för en natt för att vila. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal som pratade engelska. Rent och rymligt rum, rent badrum, sköna sängar. Helt ok frukost, men allt stod på tyska. Parkering fanns precis utanför, så det var bra. Hotellet låg nära till ett litet centrum med butiker, och nära till Lidl om man behövde något.
Ett plus var ju inomhuspoolen som hade öppet till 22.30 på kvällen, bra för familjer med små barn.

This stay was amazing. The staff was very friendly and kind. The location is great in this little town with shoping arnd. I can't rave enough about how good the experience was for the value spent. If you are not afraid to drive a distance and you are on a budget, spend 1/4 of what you would in Hamburg and get the same quality and comfort. The staff is amazing.

I regularly use this hotel when on business south of Hamburg. Central location in small town of Buchholz. Good value for money. Rooms comfortable though nothing special. Service is excellent; very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant is of really good quality and the breakfast is quite big and varied.

This was a fantastic hotel, really clean and the room was big - a definate bargain for a 4* hotel. The only problem if you on a weekend in Hamburg is the location. The trains run 2 an hour and it takes about 25mins which is good but the town Bucholz is completly dead. There is one good Greek place and a bar and that is your lot. On Sunday there is nothing open - so beware if you get the train, the ticket machine wont take international debit cards or €50 notes so we had to just get on!
Apart from that the hotel is great - a lot better than half the rubbish that you find in Hamburg. And with Hamburg being quite a grubby sleezy city it is a nice change to be a bit outside

Ich war mit dem Zimmer, der Lage des Hotels, mit dem Personal, dem Frühstück, der Einkaufsmöglichkeiten usw. sehr zufrieden. Den Wellness-Bereich habe ich aus Zeitmangel nicht genutzt. Mir hat aber ein kleiner Kühlschrank, ein Wasserkocher für Tee und eine kleine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer gefehlt. Das ist eigentlich Standard.

Der Aufenthalt im Achat Buchholz war wirklich super. Es gibt einen Pool und zwei kleine Saunen und das Personal ist wirklich super nett! Auch wenn das Hotel zu einer Kette gehört wirkte alles sehr familiär und persönlich.

Bei der Anreise gab es ein paar Schwierigkeiten, aber diese wurden gelöst und die Tage danach waren gut. Es ist schade, dass das Hotel nur eine handvoll Parkplätze hat und in der näheren Umgebung nur zahlungspflichtige Abstellmöglichkeiten sind.
Tipp: wenn ihr spät ins Hotel kommt und den Stress beim Parken vermeiden wollt, sprecht mit dem Hotelpersonal und ihr könnt einen der wenigen Parkplätze für euch reservieren. Dieser Service hat uns richtig gut gefallen!!

Kedeligt hotel, der ikke lever op til standard på 4 stjerner. Kedeligt værelse uden stole og et bord. Desuden virkede det som spaomtådet ikke blev serviceret. Ingen håndklæder, skønt det anvefales at bruge det i saunaen. Da der heller ikke var eksta håndklæder på værelset, var det klamme våde håndklæder at tørre sig i. Morgenmaden var ok, men ikke som på billedet og ikke prisen vlrd. Vi fik god velkomst af aftenportieren, men udtjekningen var forfærdelig. Vi valgte hotellet da vi kunne betale med kort. Første kort kunne ikke bruges og portieren mente kortet ikke duede. Vi prøvede i alt 4 forskellige kort ingen virkede. Portieren rystede nedladende på hovedet, deres maskine fejlede ikke. Vi kunne hæve penge i en bankautomat. Det gjorde vi ikke, da det viste dig den ikke duede. Vi kunne leve med hotellet, men morgenportierens attitude bevirkede, at her kommer vi aldrig igen. Jeg vil lige sige, vi har mange hotelovernatninger om året, og lever med fejl, men når personalet nærmest beskylder is som tåber, er ønsket om at vende tilbage absolut nul

Das Hotel entsprach leider nicht meinen Erwartungen die Zimmerausstattung bestand aus zusammengewürfelten Möbeln, unter dem Dach war es super heiß und man hat lediglich einen einfachen Lüfter bereitgestellt. die vorhanden Möbel aber auch die Anbauten waren stark abgenutzt und einfach nicht mehr anbietbar. Frühstück war OK aber für diese Kategorie nicht ausreichend, zu wenig Angebot (z.B. Spiegeleier oder Aufstriche). Die Parkplatzsituation ist leider schlecht es gibt nur ein paar weniger vor der Tür und hinter dem Haus ansonsten muss man selbst innerhalb der Stadt suchen.

Das Hotel ist doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend einmal renoviert werden, der Duschhahn z.B. tropfte doch sehr, das Frühstückbuffet war in Ordnung , der Service auch. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht aber dann doch eher enttäuscht von dem Zustand des Zimmers.
