I repeat DO NOT stay at this place. From black mold growing from the ceiling to window in the room doesn’t close, air conditioner falling out from wall, bathroom was disgusting, floors were sticky, beds had cigarette holes in sheets and spiders. Do not waste your time with this place

When I fist got there I had to tote all my belongings up 3 flights of steps and then had to change rooms no tv,no heat in room and no microwave and then they brought me a tv that didn’t show very good and a fridge but still no microwave.If you’re not gonna give and what you say when customers are booking tell them that online and they kept my id.i will never go back there.

I arrived and the parking lot was pock marked with deep chunks missing; it felt like I was driving on rocks!

I parked where the front door should be, and the doors were steel chained shut. I called the front desk and the man instructed me to come into the lobby from the side door; the front doors don’t work.

I did and found a man at the front desk arguing to get his ID returned from the clerk sitting behind security glass with a small pass thru teller type opening.

When I got to clerk, he told me he was off duty in about 30-minutes, could I come back when the new clerk arrived.

During my wait in the lobby, a woman in excessively tight clothing approached the clerk and ask to buy another hour and a half for a room. The same man who asked me to wait for the next clerk obliged the woman, took her money, and handed her a key.

I went back to the car and informed my son I think this is a hotel used for activities that may be unsafe for us to be around.

He asked to stay somewhere else, and I found a 2-bed room available in The Guesthouse at Graceland for two nights, and another 2-bed room available in The Peabody for the other three nights.

I went back to ask clerk for a refund and he was unable to refund my money because I booked they a third party.

I went back to my rental car and booked the other two hotels; driving directly to The Guesthouse at Graceland for two nights.

I would like a full refund; Expedia should be ashamed to have this hotel on your site!!!!!!!

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stepped foot on the property of. Traveling across the country multiple times: Alaska through Canada to Texas and Texas to PA and back, I have never experienced a worse property. It is set in a bad neighborhood. Looking at it from the outside this place looks like it should be condemned, with broken windows, it looked like there was black mold all over the exterior walls, old yellowing insulation around some of the windows. You could also see the curtains broken and even out of a window. We should have drove away right then, but it was late and we were tired. When I got in the building, the lady didn't speak to me except for the room number and that the elevator was broken. so my husband, 2 kids and I had to climb 4 flights of stairs with our luggage. There is graffiti everywhere. The floors look like they have never been cleaned. Every floor smelled like STRONG weed (skunk smell). There were leaks everywhere, including a trail of liquid halfway down the hall on the fourth floor. The fire hose door was broken with glass on the floor. When we got to the room, there was a small nasty garbage can by our door, outside of the room with things in the bottom in a black liquid substance. When we opened the door it was a VERY strong odor of bleach, like someone had just poured bleach on the floor. I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I checked in, things were off. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and unwelcoming, and the check-in process took much longer than it should have. When I got to my room, it was not what I expected at all. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned there were stains on the sheets, dust on the furniture, and the bathroom had hair left in the shower. The towels looked worn and dingy instead of fresh. For the price I paid, I expected much better cleanliness and attention to detail. The noise level was another big issue. I could hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it very hard to relax or sleep. The walls seemed paper thin. On top of that, the air conditioning unit was either too loud or barely working, so the room was uncomfortable throughout the night. To make matters worse, when I brought these concerns to the front desk, the response felt dismissive. There was no real attempt to resolve the issues or offer any type of compensation. Customer service goes a long way, and I definitely did not feel valued as a guest. Overall, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and peaceful stay. There are far better options for the same price.

There is probably not enough space to tell you everything but first off I will say this: it should not be open. It is an old hotel that was abandoned and still has graffiti on the walls, trash in the corners of the hallway and no elevator that works. We stayed on the fourth floor and tried to walk down the stairs at the end of the hall and the fire door was locked. The reception desk is behind bulletproof glass.

It has potential but their attempt to bring in money while renovating is a major mistake.

I will give credit to the young man who attempted to find us a room on the lower floor, but none of them were habitable. The tub in the first room he showed his had boot prints and it where the workers had been repairing the tub. And, the blackout curtain on the room would not close all the way because hooks were missing on the end.

Another obvious marketing ploy was the pictures on your website. They are nothing like the hotel. They may be the eventual plans for the hotel, but they are not indicative of the property.

I really felt uncomfortable in the hotel. There were signs all around it saying visitors are not allowed.

In my opinion, this is a black eye on Hotels.com for allowing this hotel to be on their website.

I had a valid reservation through Expedia and arrived to check in on December 22. At the front desk, the staff took my payment and provided a room number. However, when we went to the assigned room, we were informed that it was not available and had not yet been cleaned. We were then told that the hotel had no other rooms available. Because the hotel was unable to accommodate us, we did not stay at the property at all. Despite this, a no-show fee was charged to the card saved in my Expedia account.

This charge is incorrect, as I was physically present and attempted to check in. The failure to provide a room was entirely on the hotel’s side. It appears that the reservation was not properly handled or canceled in their system. I made multiple attempts to contact the hotel for assistance, but I was repeatedly given a phone number that could not be reached, and I have not received any refund. Please refund the money deducted to my account.

This place is HORRIBLE!! First of all when you walk into the lobby, it’s freezing cold, even the receptionist was bundled up because how cold the lobby was, the lobby looked a mess. The elevators does not work but they put me on the 4th floor. It was trash all over the hallways and the lights did not work in the hallways. This place makes you feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. It was graffiti all over the walls in the stairwell. Homeless people sitting in the stairwell begging for money as you’re trying to get to your room. As soon as I saw my room which was extremely ran down and smelled like someone or something died in there I immediately went back to the receptionist and asked for a refund!! I booked this place for a week but didn’t even stay in that building for a good 10 minutes!! I am STILL WAITING ON MY REFUND that they refusing to give me!

Photos didn’t match the photos here on this site, hallways are extremely dirty with trash everywhere, dirty laundry was outside of people’s door, even with a ‘no smoking’ sign you could absolutely smell smoking and drug use.
My room door could be opened without the key card. I told the receptionist up front nothing was done. Extremely unsafe experience. Even, with a low budget hotel the experience was unacceptable.
There was condom trash in the nightstand next the bedside table. Bathroom walls had water damage and was still leaking. Bathrooms couldn’t even have a proper toilet paper holder. Broken lamp shades, holes in the curtains, holes in the bedding and so much more. The receptionist, staff and management absolutely don’t care about the safety of their clients. DON’T STAY HERE EVER!

The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Even for the price. Check in went fine, but that was the end of the comfort and niceness. Everything beyond this point was questionable and had a film of filth covering it. Literally the lobby, hallways, and elevator had no a/c whatsoever. Our room did not even have a working lock on the door. The A/c in our room could barely even be considered “working” as it stayed on hi the entire stay and barely kept the room at a bearable temperature. We had to request cleaning supplies and clean sheets from the house keeper to clean our room before I was comfortable setting my belongings down on any surface in the room. There were ashes on all of the tables, we had to sweep and mop our floor, the walls had stains and sticky spots from the floor to the ceiling, the sheets had stains and burn holes in them. And we even saw roaches throughout the rooms and halls. It was definitely the worst experience I’ve had even in a cheap room. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous, but there was absolutely no reason for this level of disgust.

This property did not have working AC and had safety concerns where I felt imminent danger as the employee described and active manhunt in the building. See my Google review for more details. I’m disappointed that Expedia would advertise such a place and not take reviews into account or continue to deal with properties that do not honor their pledged refund. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I’m done using Expedia at all. Buyer beware.

None of the amenities I was promised by the advert and the pictures are fake on Expedia. There were people working on broke down cars and garbage in the lot. We did not feel safe and did not stay. The pictures on hotels.com are complete false advertisement. The real thing is nothing like the pictures. It’s dark and dirty with no AC in the lobby and what looks like bullet proof glass when you walk in. I think only prostitutes and drug dealers would feel comfortable there. They should be banned from the website and I’m very disappointed in hotels.com. Never using them again because they did nothing about the situation and I lost my money because I refused to stay in such a disgusting place.

Booking promised room service, goose down comforter, Italian fretta sheets, and a fitness club as well as restaurant. It had none of these. The property is very unsafe, apparent drugdealers loitering in the lot, multiple holes punched/kicked in walls/doors. Blaring ghetto music, ppl fighting, babies crying. The property is absolutely filthy. Apparently hasn't been swept in months. Property is in absolute disrepair. In this supposed non-smoking property, You will be hit with the smell of weed upon entering the lobby and as you make your way to your room, cigarette smell fills every corridor with evidence of smoking inside the building, cigarette butts on the floor as well as ashes in the halls and elevator. Pictures on website show a clean well-kept property. Property is not well kept, is overgrown. In my opinion, this should be marked as a fraudulent misleading ad. The reviews are obviously fraudulent and anyone could tell that by stepping onto the property after reading the favorable reviews. It took me 2 hours to reach anyone cuz I was hung up on at least six times when I tried to contact customer service. Front desk also was not answering the calls from customer service. When I finally made contact he refused to refund my full payment. This is an incredibly unsafe property and if you are a woman traveling alone, do not go here. Stay away

I pulled in for my reservation around 1am, WAY too much going on in the neighborhood and sketchy folks in the parking lot. Not sure I would have had all the windows in my car, or a car, in the morning.

I am not picky, stayed in more than a few dirt cheap hotels, but this is the first that I have noped out of on sight.

I book my stay for me and my wife and when we got to the room they still charged us for a room we never stayed in I tried to check us in and he said they didn’t have any more rooms available and I said I already booked the room and paid for it he said I have to go stay somewhere else he doesn’t have any more room so how do you let us book a room if you don’t have any I asked if gave our room away he said the rooms have been filled but he still allowed us to think we had a room and took our money and we still had to find a new hotel.It was a lot of people standing outside late at night the inside of the lobby was dirty the man at the desk was rude about it. We will never book here again!!!! I’m still waiting on my refund.

Not Absolute Best At All.

Wasn't the best kind of hotel at all, yet it goes back to the concept of you get what you pay for. I had to switch rooms because TV plug couldn't even reach an outlet. Also, cleanliness wasn't absolute best, but it was just for myself. Typically it was just a simple overnight stay before heading back home after an event for that particular night after driving a few hours into town. For single/solo individuals, it gets you by for a night or 2.

A word to the wise this hotel is disgusting. We went there. It is dirty. Inside the ceiling was falling down. The floor was gross. I didn’t even wanna touch the floor with my feet let alone any other part of my body. as soon as we open the door to the room you could see the remnants of cockroach putty. As soon as we saw that we turned around and walked right out.

Trust me, I am not a picky person, but this place is not clean or sanitary. It should be torn down.

: staff was incompetent and kept pushing me to show them proof that I pay for my room or extra day refused to give me extra time and a pillow if I could give him one star I would worse hotel in history plus when you pull in it looks like it's all broke down and they have roaches and I had to basically clean my microwave myself and the first room that they checked me in didn't even work TV didn't work lights didn't work and when I tried to plug in something I got shocked

worst stay

the stay I had at this play was horrible .. it’s not presented as it is on the sights or hotels apps .. the roofs had holes in them , the elevator didn’t work , the rooms wasn’t thoroughly cleaned , the sockets didn’t work , the ac didn’t work , the place jus look as if it’s old and beat down .. it’s crackhead city in those parts of the woods , people in and people out , no sanitation , no hospitality , no anything jus dirt and buckets to hold water coming out the ceiling

The staff and customer service were great. But I didn’t like that the hotel didn’t have a mini refrigerator or even a little kitchen area. It was also in the middle of renovating as well.

BROKEN ELEVATORS ~ NEVER AGAIN GOING TO BOOK HERE!

This place does NOT have a working elevator! When we arrived, they put my mother and me on separate floors. I told my mom we could just use the elevator, and the staff member on duty overheard me say this—but waited until we had all our belongings in the lobby to inform us that the elevator was out of order.

My mom has health issues and cannot use the stairs, so this was a huge problem. If you have any mobility issues or health concerns, I strongly advise against staying here. NEVER again will I book this place, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. If you’re considering staying here—DON’T! RUN FAR, FAR AWAY from this place!

Instead, check out AmericInn by Wyndham Memphis East—the staff there are kind, welcoming, and truly deserve a 10/10 rating. As for OYO Hotel Memphis TN I-40, if I could rate it -10/10, I would. The place is awful, and the staff member working that night was rude and unhelpful.

The front drive through was torn off. You had to enter the side door which was glass and cracked. The female at the desk would not lay her phone down while she checked me in. The door latch to the room was half way off and the deadbolt would not lock. There was a blood stain on the sheet on one bed. The dresser had the top drawer missing. Should I say more?

I did not like the fact that the hotel looks nothing like what it shows on the website. The hotel is not up to standards. Very unsafe, unclean, not a place I would let my fur animals sleep if I had a choice. I would sleep outside before I sleep at this hotel.
