I like how close this hotel is to the cruise terminal. I liked that there is a grocery store next to it. I did not like that the main entrance of the hotel and both entrances to their restaurant is not accesible for wheelchair users. I liked how spacious our room was and our bathroom however the shower is not wheelchair accessible.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel is located about a 20 minute drive from the cruise port. There is nothing around here. So don’t expect to see Hamburg unless you are wanting to take transit back into the city. Hotel rooms are a bit dated. The shower in the bathroom was small. But the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The building in general is pretty so so, but I was pleasantly surprised by my room. It was great, lovely room and with a fridge and A/C!
Unfortunately, the location is horrible, even more so with the train station closed.

Great hotel in an industrial setting.

After arriving to the area of the hotel I had doubts. I was very wrong. This is a very nice hotel indeed. Quite large and well presented. The room was very clean and quite. We found parking out the front of the hotel to check in as we couldn't find the hotel parking. You have to enter to rear parking at the shopping centre next door. As you enter you will see a large sign at the rear for the hotel parking. We drove up the one lane ramp to the secure door, pressed the button and we were in. Fully undercover parking at a reasonable cost with direct access to the hotel from the Carpark. Reception was polite and helpful. We didn't use any of the hotels facilities or restaurants so can't report on them. The room was very good and comfortable. This hotel was good for us as we had a rental car, but not sure how this location would work for those who don't have a car. It is very handy to the city centre but might take a little while to walk there. This hotel is located in an industrial-ish area and the local inhabitants hanging out in front of the shops looked friendly enough, but we never had to interact or go near them anyway. Looks safe enough. The hotel is excellent and would recommend it for sure.

Good place for a quick stay.

ThiS hotel located close to S Bahn and taxis get you into tourist locations quick. The neighborhood is in transition and the streets are not as they indicate in google - so pay close attention to the little alley that leads you to the front door with the car. The bike rental stand is right on the property- that’s handy.

Even though the hotel is good. It’s not for families with kids as the hotel is situated in a industrial area near the docks. Dangerous river/Ocean look a like near buy and a dangerous bridge you have to cross every time you go out. Good for business location not for pleasure.

Very clean hotel, excellent service. Nice restaurant- that’s good because there did not appear to be too many other options. Working class neighborhood, felt safe walking around. Reserved off street parking for free, covered parking in the garage for a fee. Nice breakfast. No AC but there’s a nice fan in the room. Rooms facing the autobahn can be noisy. Enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel inside, outside lets it down a bit

Let down a bit when we were told we had to pay for the secure garage parking as the outside car park does not look like it's in a nice/safe area. However, after this initial let down and the shabby look of the outside of the hotel, we were very pleased with the inside. The staff were fantastic, the rooms made up for the outside. The food from the bar was very good and reasonable value. It's on a busy road but in the room you don't hear the noise too much. For the price we paid I wouldn't complain except to say they should make the garage parking free for all guests so they feel more secure about where their car is parked.

This is not a 4* hotel!!!!!!

The hotel itself is not bad, it is okay but rather dated and the rooms are fine. Not really four star. My two bug bears however are they advertise free car parking..... It's lies! The hotel car park charges despite advertising free parking, when you challenge the staff they advise that their is free car parking in the supermaket car park next door! You can't sell something that isn't yours! Secondly you wouldn't want to leave your car in this neighbourhood..... It's rough, really rough!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful even though the hotel is not in the best neighborhood it was very easy to get into the city via a bus about 200m from the front door and then an S Bahn to wherever you want. Breakfast was good with a wide choice .

In an industrial area.

This hotel is in an industrial area and right off the freeway, very noisy. The room was large and parking was good. Front side is noisy with freeway traffic and the backside is hot with sunshine. We had a room on the back side which I believe is better. Small market next door, but in a seedy area that isn't the best neighborhood. Found a great restaurant called Al Lido, very good nearby, but you need a car to get there. Had to walk through a seedy area to get to the metro. Breakfast is optional, 11 euros.

On a road interchange but with a touch of class!

Although surrounded by roads, this is an excellent hotel which deserves it's four stars. Part of chain of Irish-themed facilities, the fact that Germans stay there means that things are orderly, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant of a simple but fairly high standard. Plus, they keep a good drop of Kilkenny! Our only quibble was the distance from the S Bahn and bus stops, plus the area around the hotel was more residential than full of decent bars and restaurants. Worth a visit.

Far from a 4 star Hotel

We arrived only to find that the only staff at the hotel were the guy at the front desk. Everything else were closed. We were not able to get any service at the hotel at all, and the receptionist suggested we go out in the streets close to have some food. Or, he could order us a pizza.... After a 20 meter walk in the neighborhood we hastily returned to the hotel, as none of us felt safe there. We had to take the car and drive to find some food, and when we returned all parking lots were taken. We then had to park in the hotel garage which they wanted an additional 9 euro a night. So the free parking is not at all true, it's only for those lucky 5 who have the nerve to leave their car outside in that neighborhood. I didn't have to pay the money for parking after a discussion the following morning.
The whole hotel smelled moldy and wet. The rooms are dated and smelly as well.
Breakfast were decent with warm bread.

It was hard to believe it is a four star hotel as the rooms smell funny and the decors are old. There were not enough of parking spaces and the neighborhood was not the best. There are no restaurants nearby but this would be a good place to go on the highway if you are looking to commute outside of Hamburg.

It was a normal 3 star in Hotel except the crib, breakfast and internet were extra. The location is easy to get to but has no other appeal. I payed cheap 3 star price and got a decent 3 star in a bland location, I am happy but wouldn't recommend paying a 4 star price.

It was ok, as other people have posted, not a 4 star hotel. 3 star would be most appropriate. Again, you have to pay for the internet separately which is annoying, also the windows are not double glazed so you can hear the traffic noise outside from the very busy road. They do provide earplugs in the room but, I don't particularly like having to wear earplugs. I didn't have breakfast or dinner in the restaurant so I can't comment on that. I stayed here due to working in the local area, so was very useful for me. However, if I was a tourist wanting to visit Hamburg I wouldn't choose this hotel.

I've been to many 3* hotels of higher standard than this. Quite a walk (15 mins) through a seedy neighbourhood from the nearest S-bahn station. Room was OK but didn't feel luxurious. I called in advance and confirmed/arranged for a double bed rather than two singles pushed together, but they still managed to place us with two singles.

Bit of a trek !

A good 10 mins walk from the station (2 stops from hauptbahnhoff)- surrounding area very run down - but did not feel unsafe.
I would have no problem staying again if I was on tight budget but will probably find somewhere more central next time .
Fish and chips in the hotel deserves a mention .very nice !

Zimmer: Das Hotel ansich ist gut, folgende Punkte sollte man wissen:
- Geräumiges Dreibett-Zimmer, allerdings war das dritte Bett eine Schlafcouch, die leider sehr hart gewesen ist.
- Das Bad war sauber, verfügte über eine geräumige Dusche, der Raum war jedoch extrem klein. Die Türöffnung der Duschkabine war selbst für sehr schlanke Personen grenzwertig schmal.
- Die Fenster sind zwar schallisoliert, den Straßenlärm hört man dennoch im Zimmer
Fußläufigkeit
- Die S-Bahn-Station ist knapp ein Kilometer entfernt. Man läuft ca. 10min.
Speisen und Getränke: Sehr gut gefallen hat mir das Frühstücksbuffet mit der tollen Müsli-Auswahl. Lediglich einen Obstsalat habe ich vermisst. Frisches Obst lag aber in ausreichender Menge bereit.
- kostenfreie Parkplätze gab es mit etwas Glück direkt an der Straße vor dem Hotel

Wenig zentrale Lage - Frühstück mit Schwächen

Das Hotel lag weniger zentral als gedacht, die S-Bahn Station ist ca. 15min Fußweg durch ein angrenzendes Wohngebiet zu erreichen, nach ca. 30 min Fahrt erreicht man das Stadtzentrum (Hauptbahnhof). Praktischer ist es, am P+R Veddel zu starten und zu parken, um von da aus mit der S-Bahn zu fahren(2€ Tagesticket). Das Frühstück entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Die Frühstücksplätze in der Lobby waren alle belegt, das Personal kam mit Abräumen nicht hinterher. So wurden provisorische Plätze in einer sehr unwirtlichen Halle eingerichtet, in der es von den modernisierungsbedürftigen großen Fenstern zog, auch war Sauberkeit hier mangelhaft. Am Buffet gab es weder Teller noch Besteck, unser Brot und Brötchen legten wir kurzerhand in die Müslischüsseln. Erst auf Nachfrage bekamen wir Besteck, der Tisch wurde nicht abgewischt.
Das Zimmer war offensichtlich modernisiert worden, war sauber, eine Flasche Wasser stand bereit.
Auch an der Rezeption wurden wir freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen und erhielten Tipps zur Erkundung der Stadt.
Das Frühstück im Nebenraum ging aber leider gar nicht!

Das Hotel selbst liegt einfach am falschen Platz, die meisten Zimmer liegen nämlich DIREKT an der Autobahn, zuerst waren wir in der 1. Etage, dann beschwerte ich mich das ich durch den Lärm Nachts nicht schlafen kann und wir bekamen ein Zimmer in der 3. Etage und nicht im Innenhof da alles belegt war. Leider wurde die Lautstärke nicht gemindert. Die Erreichbarkeit ist eine Katastrophe, denn mit dem Auto muss man erst einen Umweg fahren und kann das Hotel aus der Stadt nicht direkt erreichen, weil die Straße mit Pfosten nicht befahren werden konnte und somit das Hotel nicht auf direktem Weg erreichbar war. Frühstücksbuffet, Personal und Zimmer waren Super.
Parkplatz je nach Kapazität kostenlos.

Die Gegend war nicht so toll. Es gibt direkt nebenan ein Supermarkt, das ist ganz praktisch. Die Autobahn ist auch gleich neben dem Hotel, also etwas laut. Das Familienzimmer war mit Klimaanlage das war bei 30Grad auch nötig. Zu Fuss ist man in ca.1h in der HH City oder 15min zu Fuss an der SBahn Haltestelle zur S5/S3 damit kommt man überall hin.

Für mehr als ein gut reicht es leider nicht, denn die Umgebung ist aufgrund der Bahnschienen und Umgehungsstraße zur Nacht hin sehr laut, Fenster bei den bestehenden Temperaturen nur ganz öffnen zu können, da Fenster nicht ankippbar sind ist nicht toll :( Bei Doppelbetten wäre es sinnvoll den Fernseher oben an der Wand zu befestigen, statt am Schrank, da dies für die 2. Person sehr wenig durchgangsplatz bietet und so eine enorme Verletzungsgefahr bietet.

The worst hotel in town

The worst hotel in town. For 140€/night hotel they will request from you 150€ additional insurance for 1 night. And when you make check in they don’t mention and after they tell in the midnight. Also when you don’t give it they won’t accept you will go for a room. Terrible story
