The hotel itself is very clean and in great condition. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and i felt took the extra effort to help you. However, no fault to the hotel itself, the location between the hotel and the 10min walk to Hamburg Central Station can be sketchy. I would suggest only doing in daylight and being congnizant of your surroundings. The hotel had great security.

Nice, clean property. Close to transit and middle eastern food options. The A/C in our room was not working and even with a visit from maintenance it was not fixed. We were offered a different room but was more of a hassle to change rooms with one night remaining in our booking. Overall a good stay. Note that the hotel restaurant menu is not up to date on the website.

Great place for a stay in Hamburg. Room clean and comfortable. On-site self parking (€30 a night). Quick walk to the train station - we were able to easily explore the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, but probably not worth the price. Would stay here again.

The room was one of the best designed I have been in. The lighting is amazing . The bathroom is large and easy to use. There is a lot of natural light from large windows. Lots of storage and a great use of clothes hooks. There are wonderful bakeries nearby and a full supermarket nearby.

The hotel room was clean and well lit. The breakfast however was not what I expected. Majority of the food including sausage, bacon and pancakes were very cold. The fire alarm went off twice while staying at this hotel. It was good that the alarm was working but to have it go off twice including once early in the morning. My friend and I decided to stay up to get breakfast to bear the rush to find out the food was cold. I watched as they put out fresh bacon but put in the bottom of the pan and dumped all the cold bacon on top. Overall there was many options for breakfast which was great but not if you like your food warn. Just to add I got the breakfast for two days and was very disappointing for what I paid for.

Great property with professional and wonderful staff. Checkout wasn't as smooth as the other interactions, but being able to reserve a taxi for an airport transfer in the small hours of the morning took away a lot of stress.

The location is close to public transport points or is walkable for most of the points of interest for a short break in Hamburg.

Room:
- Good size for the price
- No slippers or dressing gown, which don't seem to be provided in German hotels
- Slow charge usb ports available
- Smart TV with YouTube, no netflix, casting or other streaming services
- Basic kettle with instant coffee

I could not fault the hotel it was one of the best stays I have had in Germany. Location -easy to walk to the centre and around or to use the transport links as everything was close by.
Staff were friendly, helpful and the room comfortable and clean and was pleasantly decorated. There’s a wide selection for breakfast and food was lovely and hot. We ate in the restaurant last night and had an excellent meal. I would definitely return

Good location for a smart newish hotel. Overall very pleased with room. Areas for improvement:
1. Disappointed the restaurant and bar were closed on Sunday evening
2. The bed was not that comfortable and extra bedding needed now temperature dipping
3. Tea bags were not refilled
4. Breakfast was overpriced - we enjoyed it once but too much to take every day

A great hotel stay

Great hotel - practically brand new so very fresh and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. Got some great tips for what to do and see in Hamburg from the reception team. Good location only 10 min walk from Hamburg central station and a couple of minutes walk from Berliner Tor U-Bahn station so it’s well connected.

The Marriott was a wonderful stay as usual. Area to walk through to get into Hamburg centre is full of homeless and prostitutes at night. We didn’t pay the 25€ each for breakfast. We ate at The Gardens Table which was superb but a walk through lots of homeless. 2nd day we ate in the Turkish quarter at Backlava again wonderful breakfast & amazing staff. Hamburg were incredible and being patient with our limited German and did not mind speaking English to us where we struggled. Great stay, great city.

Stayed here for 1 night 5 Aug. No water in the room & when asked for a glass of water at the bar was offered a bottle at €7.50, so €7.50 for a drink of water.
Following morning whilst in the bathroom room service just walk in, me and the young woman just end up looking at each other through the frosted glass, to be followed a few mins later with hotel maintenance just barging in, he didn’t say room maintenance until he was already a few steps in & he got to see me in my birthday suit. No privacy at all. Colleagues told me that 2 other people had been down to complain about the same thing. Informed reception on departure and they couldn’t look less interested if they tried and offered me a small warm bottle of water as a way of saying sorry (which they were told to keep). Needless to say that whilst I’ll be working in Hamburg a fair bit this hotel won’t be seeing another euro from me.

Breakfast was good. The restaurant for lunch or dinner is currently closed.
The room was generally nice. Wifi did not work for me though. Sadly no drinking water available in the room.

Everything at the hotel was smooth. Check-in took little time. Due to construction in the area, it was a little challenging to find the parking garage but otherwise, everything was smooth. The room was not cleaned daily due to COVID but we were told at check-in to simply request anything we needed to be done and they'd take care of it. Everything we asked for was completed in a timely manner. Did not have their breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Would definitely be willing to stay there again when visiting Hamburg.

All in all a great hotel!

Great location, a short walk to main train station and city centre. Lovely room, good size, very clean and spacious with everything you need for a long weekend break. Bed was huge but the pillows could be better, as well as the room temperature controls. All in all a great hotel.

Great hotel

Pleasant hotel staff. The room that I got was at reduced rate through Hotels.com; thus I was expecting one of the hotel's not-so-good rooms. But it was perfect, as in other Courtyard hotels are. The location is great. Just a 6-minute walk to the central bus station; a U-bahn station (Berliner Tor) is about 4 minutes away. There is a Real supermarket in front of the hotel, which is very convenient if you need snacks or drinks (it is closed on Sundays though).
