Good points - close to station and transport links. 20-15 mins walk to main town centre. Room clean, warm, nicely decorated and very comfortable bed. Very quiet inside the hotel so not disturbed by other guests. Lovely powerful and hot shower with large cubicle and choice of rain shower or normal shower head. Friendly staff at checkin.

Could improve - a heated towel rail or small radiator in the bathroom as the bathroom got very cold and towel didn't dry well. The stairs to the first floor are a bit awkward shape as steps very narrow on the side with the hand rail. A second hand rail fitted to the wall on the side with the wider step would be beneficial for safety.

General - the hotel is split in two distinct buildings. My room was located in the second building so did not have a staffed presence at the door. On the first morning I went out around 6:45am and had to step over a rough sleeper. It's not the hotels fault and didn't disrupt my stay, but could intimidate some as it is likely to be where the entrance doesn't have a staff reception area.

Note, the single room (103) was very small! The whole room was about the width of a double bed and just a bit longer than the single bed (the bathroom was probably bigger!). It might not suit everyone, but it still had everything I needed and I had a comfortable stay.

I would stay here again.

Given a room when we checked in that was still being cleaned. The room was as hot as an oven. Only stayed one night but housekeeping started knocking from 9am when checkout wasn't until 11am

Small but comfortable single room. However, I assumed the room was south facing, and therefore in direct sunlight which transformed the room into a greenhouse effect, far too hot with no air conditioning. And as the location of the hotel is directly opposite the main station / Hauptbahnhof, there was a lot of traffic noise and pedestrian noise from street, so I had to keep the widows closed to prevent this, and keep the curtains closed to block the sun from radiating heat into the room.

Location is good, you can walk from the main station. Close to the metro which will easily take you to all the sites. Walkable too. Room is very small, bathroom is large. The carpet is not the cleanest but other than that the hotel is fine for a quick stay.

Lobby (check-in) was 50 ft away from actual hotel entrance. You had to walk between 2 sets of tables sandwiched between 2 restaurants to get in or out of the hotel. Opening the window for ventilation brought in the noises from the street and train station as well as smoke from the restaurant below. Location wise it was great.

The check in is done in one building and then you go to your hotel. The entrance is too narrow and in between two restaurants that occupy the access to the building, making it very difficult to enter and more when you're carrying your luggage.
The room was as expected, but without air conditioning or air extraction...so the room felt like a sauna. In cold months that's ok, but in the summer...well you can imagine.

This is pretty much what you’d expect for the price. It’s a pretty bare bones room (I got the smallest single) with a small desk, a twin bed and private bathroom. The room itself was fine, however there was no built-in lobby bar, which was a little misleading in the ad. There is, however, a pretty expensive Italian restaurant located adjacent to the hotel that you’re able to access through an interior door. If you’re just needing a place to stay to catch an early train, this will do the job just fine.

I was charged an extra fee even though I had booked an extra night in the exact same room/bed. Upon bringing this to the attention of the receptionist, I was repeatedly turned away because \"only the manager could approve a refund.\" Many days later after numerous attempts of reaching out to the manager, I was denied any refund. It's evident that the manager here and the staff under him are engaged in unethical business practices if they're willing to create random charges for their guests. If you're looking for a place to stay near the train station, remember that even the location isn't worth getting scammed.

The room was ok, it’s got a nice look to it, basic bathroom and great proximity to the train station and food venues.

The beds are worn, the room is hot (no ac) in summer and with the windows open you get a lot of smoke from the patrons below at the restaurants and passing by. Not the occasional whiff, but pretty consistently strong. If your sensitive to that it’ll be a problem.

Room faced directly onto busy road in front of train station Hamburg HBF and very noisy as had to leave the one small window open to provide any reprieve from the hot room and for ventilation.

The hotel is right across the road from Hamburg Hbf. Expect some noises from streets, bar/restaurant. People are very noisy (lots of homeless people around there).
While is your window open cigarette’s smoke from streets goes to your room!
The receptionists were ok.
The rooms were small but clean. The beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was pretty good. Powerful, hot shower and good ventilation.
Wouldn’t not recommend due the noises and cigarette’s smoke!
Very nice place to go for coffee is “Campus suite” (lots of locals). Supermarket “Edeka HafenCity” has a lot choices (prices are lower than in centre).
Delicious ice cream in “Nice and cream” near Elbe Philharmonic Hall. And fresh pretzels in Ditsch (inside the station by entrance. Offer 3 for €3).

The room was not even cleaned with towels from previous guests on the floor and bed was not made.
Upon request, they did not change the room and I had to sit and wait for the receptionist do just change the bed sheets as I stood in the room for hour and half.
There is not air conditioning on the property and it’s get very humid on a summer night. The staff does not speak English so it’s convenient for them to get out of situation by saying “I’m sorry”
Do not recommend this property at all.

We did not stay at this hotel. There was no elevator and it was not air conditioned. Hotels.com did not refund our payment. My husband is in his 70's and has a resperatory condition that makes it dangerous for him to stay in a non air conditioned room, and he is unable to walk up steps. The day we arrived we canceled the reservation (it was for 7 days). The hotel and the broker were unkind about this and did not give us a refund.

Some limited downsides: (1) The space is small, making it a good place to sleep and not much else; and (2) the lack of air conditioning (as is common in Europe) combined with the busy neighborhood near the train station means confronting an evening dilemma: a nice breeze to cool the room or quiet solitude from the goings-on outside . Nonetheless, the location is great for moving around town and the price represents okay value, all things considered.

Upon check in I realise its a two buildings - the reception area is in one (not really appealing in decor to be honest and bit worried when I enter - as no lift and and other female guests smoking outside were offering me a 'good time'. Nevertheless when you find out that your 'building is ' 20 metres down the road (just above fancy Italian restaurant - all starts to change - the building on side is nice, quite, the rooms as smaller scale yet clean and cosy with comfortable bed. Everything I need it for the one night stand to catch up early morning train - when the Main Train Station is across the street - very convenient - and yes - now when I know what to expect - I would return again to stay in this property (the reception staff very welcoming and friendly).

Good option for rail travellers

This is a very convenient hotel for those like us who are travelling by train. We could view the train station from our window. The room was small but clean and relatively recently furnished. We had to pick up and drop off the key from another property on the same street but that was quite straightforward. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel's amenities and cleanliness was very good, the reason for the poor rating is that the room was very cold and the central heating system was not enough for it, though they changed me to another room but still the same. I couldn't sleep properly. The bathroom was almost impossible to use because of the cold temperature, it was as if you are entering a freezer.

The Bad sides:
First of all, I cannot say that they do not have Wi-Fi because it does exist at the room. You can also connect it with your mobile phone. However, it does not connect with the internet. My wife and I had the same problem. I checked the reviews later on. Many people had the same issue with their Wi-Fi. Secondly, there is a TV monitor in the room but it does not have any programs. Last but not least, there is no telephone for you to contact the reception in the room.

The good side:
Super nice location.
The toliet is quite spacious.

Yet another trip to Hamburg!

The hotel was very convenient and reasonably priced, within a stones throw from Hauptbahnhof / Centra Station. The single room was very small and compacted, however, very clean and tidy. I stayed in room 405, the tiled bathroom was very cold and the ceramic wall tiles nearest the windows kept dripping condensation. Getting into the shower was very tricky, and required some manoeuvring as the door would alway touch the toilet, leaving very little room to get in and out of the shower; almost impossible for a larger person to negotiate. The cleaning staff were always welcoming, warm and greeted me with a genuine smile.

Das Zimmer war wirklich schön. Der Abstand zwischen Bett und Wandecke war schon sehr eng. Man kommt zwar durch, aber für „Nicht-Elfen“ könnte es schwierig werden. Ich dachte schon, das ist ganz schön eng…und dann kam der Einstieg in die Dusche… da passte ich nur mit eingezogenem Bauch durch. Vor der Buchung sollte das beachtet werden.

Litet rum utan ventilation. Alla väggar var smutsiga, en del med blod, hål o svarta skrapmärken. Tv var ett enda stort brus o hackande. Fönster öppningsbara mot mycket livlig gata. Hissen gick ojämnt o luktade otroligt illa. Enda positiva var badrum som verkade renoverat i nutid.

Direkt am Hauptbahnhof, aber keine angenehme Gegend. Die Rezeption ist in einem separaten Gebäude. Das Zimmer war okay, allerdings ziemlich muffig, also wenn es geht, das Fenster auf lassen. Auch mein Bad hatte ein Fenster. Die Duschkabine war leider nicht dicht.
