There was nothing I could criticize. It was my first time in Hamburg, and I chose this place based on the reviews. We stayed for three nights with two children, and the location was perfect. If you make a list of places to see in Hamburg, you can walk from here to every place in the top 10. The train station and subways are only a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. The room was very clean. The furnishings and amenities were spotless. The person who greeted us at the entrance (I forgot his name) had excellent communication skills and was very warm and sincere. The other hotel staff were also very polite. Three nights in Hamburg isn't enough time to see everything, so we're thinking of coming back, and I can already say for sure that we'll stay here again.

Excellent customer service, especially from the lovely hotel manager who helped us park our car and gave a lot of information about Hamburg. He was very nice to all of our family - including our 2 teenagers. We were there for the Christmas Markets and the location was perfect. Great coffee shop on the corner close by is recommended for breakfast. Room was great and had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet. Close to shops, sights and I would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. With two small children, the apartment was perfect for our needs - it was quiet, with comfortable beds in separate bedrooms, and a very handy kitchen area with everything we could need should we wish to eat in. The apartment was extremely clean and well stocked in terms of small things like shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as well, especially when our young son had a small accident and we required medical assistance - they went above and beyond to assist, for which we were very grateful. This was our first trip abroad as a family and overall, we had a fantastic stay.

We had an amazing stay at Eric Vökel apartments in Hamburg. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a fantastic layout. Each bedroom was on the opposite side of the living/dining area. The staff are very friendly. The location is central, less than a 10 minute walk from the Hamburg Central Train station. There are plenty of restaurants around and the area is within walkable distance to many sights. I highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return to it again.

The apartment was perfect for my family - clean, comfortable, functional and convenient to everything. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Building has onsite locker room to store our luggage after our check out - which provide us the opportunities to check out few places before our train ride to Berlin. I was so pleased to find Eric Vokel Boutique Apartments! It is located a short walk from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof in a quiet, super clean area with nicer restaurants. Reception staff were surprisingly warm and welcoming - Alexandra took the time to point out area attractions on a city map and her colleague (regretfully don't remember his name) was equally kind. The ongoing construction directly across from the hotel initially concerned us, but thankfully we were placed opposite the building site and did not hear a peep. We were absolutely thrilled with the room! You know that feeling as you approach your room for the first time a little fearful that the online photos won't reflect reality? Well, forget about it! Our room was spacious and modern with a high-end designer feel that exceeded our expectations. I have to especially shoutout the bed chamber with sliding doors; remote-controlled blackout shades; and plentiful, yet ergonomic open wardrobe. The living room and dining areas were also lovely and of course it is always nice to return home with clean clothing when you have an in-unit laundry. I liked that housekeeping comes once every three days, which is more sustainable than daily pick-up. If I had to nitpick anything, it would be the bathroom - also lovely - which isn't as thoughtfully designed, likely due to space constraints. Also, the bath towels are roughly textured and tiny. Minor quibbles, really, as this hotel was truly outstanding. We will definitely return.

I spent a fantastic 3 nights here with my mom, sister and 1 year old baby. The apartments are well located close to the train station and city centre attractions, and with plenty of places to eat nearby (Quan Do across the street is good for Vietnamese food). We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean, cozy and well equipped with all the amenities we needed, and we loved the power shower and comfy beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were kind enough to go out and buy a baby bath for us to use (much appreciated as the little one is not quite ready for a power shower but too big to wash in the sink!). They also provide high chairs and cots. We spent our days exploring the city and enjoyed cozy evenings in either cooking or eating take away and watching Netflix, and the baby loved having plenty of space to crawl around. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for a self catering stay in Hamburg.

The hotel is lovely, it’s clean and quiet and not too far away from the centre of things. Unfortunately check in wasn’t great. We’d emailed ahead and said we would be a group of 6 in a room designed for 6. Unfortunately instead of honouring the email and being sensible the front desk tried to charge us an extra €170 on top of the €700 we had already paid for our 2 night stay. Eventually we got to the point of just paying the extra tax but it wasn’t a great start to things. Which as I say is a shame as the room itself was lovely.
