An jede Stelle hat man Gefühl das man zu viel bezahlt hat. Frühstück für den Preis ist lächerlich, kalte Würstchen und Frikadellen, alte Croissants usw, usw… In Bad kann man nicht wirklich Kopf abspülen, Leute arrogant und Preis dafür ist der Wahnsinn. Mein letztes Besuch dort.

Stayed in a duplex suite and it was outstanding. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. The view over the Alster is magnificent. The bathroom is vast with a powerful shower and fantastic toiletries by (Malin+Goetz). My 9 year old received just as warm a welcome, with his sofa bed made up, a monster-inspired cupcake, kids robe and slippers. A huge range at breakfast with super-friendly staff who gave my kid the right level of attention.

There were two main issues. The first was a clogged sink in the bathroom along with a leak on the back of the sink that seeped water onto the floor. The sink took a long time to drain. It was almost completely plugged.

Another issue was a beeping sound intermittently coming from the room safe.

The staff were excellent. The food was also very good. The only issues are noted above.

The hotel was quite expensive for what they offered. yes with the swimming pool/sauna/steam room it's a bonus.
3 pm check-in was missed because of a faulty aircon in the room by an hour. Compensation of free drinks in the bar but just because I have asked for it. One of the lifts was not working out of 3 lifts. Breakfast for me was ok only not outstanding cos I'm vegan. Heritage restaurant did not meet my expectations as the food was over an hour late and barely anything on my plate.

We enjoyed our stay overall. We were disappointed that the elevators on our floor were not working. We wish we had been told this when we arrived. While this was okay for us, I was saddened to see another guest with a walker on our floor. They should have been told and offered a room on a floor with a working elevator. I am surprised that staying there for three nights was broken the entire time.

The doublex suite with view on the Alster is luxurious. The split between bedroom bathroom on the first floor and desk sitting bathroom creates a two story glasfront giving a beautiful view over the Alster. Very friendly and competent staff!

We had my wife’s Ipad mini stolen from our room in the evening of our second day.
Very stressful! Hotel staff were not too helpful.
Called the police next morning to investigate and create a report
The hotel has next to no security which is not acceptable these days.

We stayed there for four nights. It was a great location. The area around the hotel was nice. There was a lot of construction that made it a little bit difficult but overall was great. The service and the hotel was great. Everybody spoke perfect English. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The room was very comfortable Bed was very comfortable. The kids love the pool and overall I highly recommended if you’re in Hamburg to stay in the hotel, specially with family.

Hotel and staff were wonderful. It’s in very good shape and the room service menu was great and reasonable price.

Only negatives: the bathroom door is all glass and on a track that makes quite a bit of noise and lets all the bathroom light into the bedroom. So if someone uses the bathroom at night - we woke each other up a bunch. Had an issue with a subpar meal from room service but the hotel manager graciously comped it and treated us to a breakfast. All class and deeply appreciated Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel in a fabulous location, overlooking the stunning lake. Staff could not do more. If you turn right out of the hotel, and then right again, walk to the end of the road and you’ll find lots of local restaurants and shops. Lovely little bar over the road on the edge of the lake. Would definitely recommend.

We were very happy with pretty much everything. The location is not to be beaten, our suite had a spectacular view. We rented bicycles to ride around the Alster lake. The area is lively, cosmopolitan and offers museums and great restaurants as well as close proximity to main station. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the pool as well as the restaurant in the panorama restaurant. We also went to the rooftop bar, which was fun.

The area around the hotel has many restaurants and shopping, and we were able to find something to eat that our family enjoyed. I would highly recommend staying here again. Wonderful hotel to pamper yourself a bit

Wonderful hotel at a great location. Room seems a wee worn out for this price range (e.g. full floor carpets with stains, the shower a bit 80s style) but that didn’t disturbe us too much.

Absolutely great breakfast, with magnificent view, but unfortunately occassionally out of certain items in the buffet, which again at this level is bit unusual.

Only real negative comment is that the receptionist made (for pre-paid bookind) a totally unnecessary 10 x pre-authorization on our credit card by mistake (admitted it too), but which was not cleared until a week after a stay, and not compensated in any way.

But overall very friendly service, and feels very much alike with the Le Méridien experiences I have mainly from far east locations.

Overall it’s was excellent, a bit disappointed with breakfast. I paid 32 euros for English breakfast but only had omelet and bacon, there was no sausage had to wait 15 min and still was told it would take another 15 min. By that time I decided to take some bread but they had started to clear up and was only 1 croissant left. Stay was good except breakfast

Restaurant on 9th floor tried twice once full and the other time in the day closed. Bar on the other side of hotel opened later at 5. Breakfast overpriced. Overall service lacked what is included as a standard with many 5 star establishments.

Really underwhelming and not value for money

I booked this hotel as a treat for my 40th birthday. It was a nice hotel but not the luxury that it claimed.

The down sides (and there are a lot of them as it was meant to be a luxury stay)...

- I asked for a nice view and the view we got was really uninspiring; an internal corner of the back of the hotel overlooking some flats
- The room was really dark despite having 15 (yep, 15!) bulbs (not including the bathroom where there were more)! Two of the bulbs were put to great use illuminating what can only be described as a misplaced attempt at art - what looked like two pictures of caged ducks!
- Of the carpet I could see, there were several stains, maybe it was a good thing we couldn't see it properly
- The carpet was also very normal, no luxury feel there
- My pillow looked like it had a blood stain on it. I turned it over but the cleaners kept putting it back on top each day in full view!
- The bookshelves (aka the only place to put your folded clothes) were dusty
- There was no mini bar, just an empty fridge so no spontaneous snacking or drinking
- No biscuits either with the tea/coffee selection
- The bath towels were just towels, not bath sheets
- The bath robes were scratchy
- The sink tap was so low we had to fill the kettle and reuseable water bottles from the bath tap
- The mirrors in the bathroom steamed up after showering so the only part you could see in was the bit by the radiator, no heated mirrors
I’ve run out of room but you get the idea.

The air in the rooms and hotel was too dry and it made me feel very uncomfortable. the same feeling as when you have been flying. dry skin, too warm, water in the body. This affected the overall stay as I was feeling uncomfortable in my body and I got a bad head ache due to lack of good qulity air. I could open the window becaues of a very noisy road

Spacious and clean room. The bathroom offered a large shower and bath tub. Our bathroom door was rather difficult to close though and it wasn't possible to fully close the door. Otherwise the room was fantastic.
The staff was very friendly, especially Christiane at breakfast. The breakfast was superb in general with a rich selection of various foods.
Location is great as well directly at the Alster Lake. The restaurant also offers a fantastic view of the lake. Our room didn't have a too nice view though with just another building directly in front of it.
To relax in the evening there is a spa area with pool, sauna and steam bath. Everything looked very new and was very clean.
Overall we had a very satisfying stay.

Room was all smoked cigarettes, I asked non smoking room...
Tv was not working..., ladies from reception just offer to change batteries in remot controller, but is not help anyway... Wifi on check out day was switched off!!! Noncens!
When I asked first medical aid - to take care my injured leg after bike race, I didnt get a help!!! just 1 tampone and bint.., no iodine, no dezinfection peroxide, nothing! ITS TERRIBLE, I am very unsatisfied that stay, is not wort the spended money.... Sorry but it is true... But Hamburg is very very beutiful and nice city.... I will come back, but not at La Merridian...

Nothing really to fault about Le Méridien, Hamburg. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful during our stay, room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is superbly located right in the centre of Hamburg, near to all the restaurants and shops, and overlooking the beautiful Alster lake. I would only perhaps fault the breakfast buffet as it was quite basic for such a high price and the service was average so I wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast included, so maybe going just once to admire the amazing view of the lake from the 9th floor(!) is enough. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Hamburg.

Værelset OK men kun en seng til to voksne og et barn. Vi spurgte i receptionen, da vi regnede med at de havde glemt en opredning. Fik besked om, at vi kunne købe en opredning for 50 euro pr. Nat. Ydermere var restauranten lukket pga. renovering men deres rooftop bar kunne benyttes i stedet og havde en udviddet barmenu. Super lækkert men da vi ville benytte rooftop baren var den så lukket pga. privat arrangement. Hotellet er OK men oplevelsen var ret skuffende.

Das Zimmer war wirklich schön groß und modern eingerichtet - außer der Durchgang zum Badezimmer: Dort war ein sichtbar alter und schmutziger Teppichboden - im Rest des Zimmers ist schönes Laminat verlegt. Die Terrasse ist riesig und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Betten sind bequem und alles ist sauber. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Außerdem hat man einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Alster. Die Mitarbeiter:innen sind aufmerksam und versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt es für die Lautstärke beim Frühstück - jeder Gast wird lautstark begrüßt und an einen Platz gebracht - was zwar freundlich ist, aber dennoch ziemlich viel Unruhe bringt.
