The Hotel was no longer in business. It had been bought out by another Hotel chain who were refurbishing the Hotel. We were given two rooms at another hotel that were of a lower speck to what we had booked. We were very surprised and annoyed not to have been informed of this situation before travelling.

This is an older property and is currently being updated. There is no AC but the tall window opened. The bed was too firm for me. Excellent breakfast buffet and next to a wonderful restaurant. Just across the street from the central train station, so taking the train from the airport is easy. We opted for a taxi and while it was expensive, we saw many areas of Hamburg. A decent option for an inexpensive room with the main feature being the location directly across the street from the Hamburg HFB. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bathroom had very new fixtures. The room was extremely small without room for even a luggage rack (none was provided). To sit on the toilet and lean forward a person will risk banging his sternum against the sink. The bed was comfortable. There was a small desk but it had no power outlets nearby so using a laptop wasn’t possible. Breakfast was complimentary and was a good (but only cold) buffet.

Great location for public transport and walkable to many attractions. Rooms are a bit dated, but immaculately clean with a good shower. Great for a short city break or pre-cruise stay. Lack of air conditioning might be a problem in very hot weather, but our room was very airy with high ceiling and huge opening windows with a balcony. Good breakfast buffet.

Location is perfect if travelling from the Central train station; easy walking to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Property itself is very old and in dire need of renovations. Didn’t even feel comfortable to step into the shower. We were on the 1 floor and looking out the window was just looking up into walls and low roof tops. Felt like a prison.

We stayed 1 night before catching a morning flight fro Hamburg airport. Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the platform for airport train departures. Literally across the street from the the station. Super convenient. Will definitely use this hotel again.
The hotel building sèms to be quite old and decor in rooms is perhaps a little outdated but clean and in good condition. There was plenty of space and good hanging area. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom seemed quite new and spotlessly clean. Our room overlooked both road and station but very very little noise came into the room when the windows were closed.
The hotel was very clean and pleasantly warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast started at 6 30 am so suited us as we had to leave atc7 15 am. Breakfast was excellent ' continental style 'with plenty of options. Breakfast room was blissfully quiet.
This hotel is also very well placed for exploring the city.
I felt this hotel gave excellent value for money.

On the outside it gives the impression of a well kept property but the rooms and the interior in general could do with a lot of refurbishment.
Breakfast is average, only the basics and pthe dining room is small and overcrowded at times.
My room had an awful view to the backyard? and it was tiny. I was given a single bed although the ad said one twin bed which, as the staff explained, is one of two single beds!?
The only advantage was that it was opposite the central station which made transport easy.
On the whole, with 90euros per night it is not good value for money ...

The very convenient location opposite the station was also VERY noisy, especially at the front. The double glazing was surprisingly effective at blocking out most of the noise, but with the windows shut it was very hot and there was no air conditioning.

This is a hotel that has preserved the best of the past while having tastefully modernized. The room was of a generous size and everything clean, including the hallways. Room was clean although there was only 1 flat feather pillow in my room with a king sized bed and a twin sized bed. Check in staff was friendly including helping me figure out subway system on my first day. Location is convenient to the main train station although I had trouble finding it. The front of the hotel was being renovated so there was no sign on the front of the hotel. It wasn't until I looked at the address that I saw the name on the glass door. Basic, but good breakfast buffet.

A great location

There was a bit of a hiccup with our checkin, since they had no record of us having already paid. It was eventually straightened out, then they realized that we had overpaid and refunded our credit card. All was well. The room was comfortable, clean and had ample space. There does seem to be noise that carries through the walls and halls, but since we travel with earplugs, it was no problem. Bonus was the bidet in the bathroom.

Great Location.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Hbf. It is quite dated (still has metal room keys that you leave at the front desk) but the the elevator is modern. My room was barely bigger than the bed. Only one electrical outlet to be shared with the TV, light, and any of my own devices like computer or phone charger. It is slightly more affordable than other venues.

Where to start! For the money absolutely dreadful. Bathroom so small you have to shift legs to one side to sit down to go to the loo. Dreadful noise isolation (and it next to the noisy main station with drink loud people all night so you need it) , window sill so cheap the plastic of it flexed massively. So cheap not even any blackout curtains. Cleaning staff come in despite \"do not disturb sign\". And worst of all they double charged me despite the fact i told them I had already paid hotelscom. (I did manage to get it back after I sent a snotty email). Avoid avoid.

But safty is in shower is a big concern, there isnt any anti-slip in tub, I was fall in the tub when I take a shower and hurt myself plus break my glass as well, its a terrible experience.

Avoid at all costs. This is the worst hotel I have ever been too. The person at the front desk oddly does not speak English, and tried to use google translate. He was exceptionally rude and very unhelpful. I ended up cancelling because of that and decided to use a different hotel. there are plenty of much better hotel in the same neighborhood. Not to mention the hotel is also unsafe. The had my luggage stored in an open place without having it tagged. Also that same rude person was not covering his nose yet asking me for my vaccine information!

the shower had many moldy areas and the shower had no adjustable water pressure so I basically got powerwashed each time I showered. Room ventilation was horrible so when I showered the entire room stayed damp. ok for a quick overnight stay.

Good location for train, but very tired

Honestly, the whole place just seems tired and run down. The wifi wasn't working at all when I arrived, and it was pretty terrible even when it came up again, so don't count on doing any Zoom meetings. Very weak lighting and only two electrical outlets in the entire room (single ones at that) and one of them taken up by the bedside lamp. Only one measly pillow - I didn't think anyone did that anymore. Desk clerk at arrival so fussily autocratic that it would have been funny if not so unpleasant. However, grateful for at least having refillable shampoo and soap dispensers, and a wide selection of cable channels. Good enough breakfast. Definitely overpriced for the current state of the hotel, but Hamburg seems to be that way.

Hotel is very clean and well maintained and being exactly opposite to the central station makes it an ideal place to reach various tourist places in the city of Hamburg. The staff are very friendly and speak good English.

The beds and pillows are a bit hard for comfort in the rooms we were given.

friendly staff. Basic room means “very basic” room. No kidding. Maintainance is not a forte. “Innovative” bathroom shower exhaust-replace the missing exhaust grill with a paper towel and tape- done. TV stream did not work the three days I was there in the entire hotel and they did not care to fix it. No TV movie nights. WIFi? if you need it to work, forget this hotel. The speed is so slow, it takes patience to even connect to email. The front desk solution “ just restart your computer” that will fix the low signal and low bandwidth. I guess you get what you pay for. Oh, and if you expect breakfast as advertised, expect to be sent to a sister property down the road “only” a block away. Fingers crossed it will not rain. After all it’s Hamburg.

Although not brilliant in any area this is a decent hotel and I would stay here again. The staff are friendly and helpful.
