Don’t stay here during the summer this hotel does not have air-conditioning at all I kept on turning the air conditioner in the room down nothing was happening until an employee told me the next morning that this hotel doesn’t have air-conditioning. Their computer during checkout would break down and we had to wait extra long for them to type in all our information all over again. Three check out their printer wouldn’t work so they couldn’t print out any bill for us. At breakfast everybody was sweating because it was so hot. They blamed the situation on the old building however it is easy to install a retrofit air conditioning to the venting system in a supposed five star hotel

Beautiful classy hotel, but some wear and tear is slowly visible and an upshine would be welcome. Our airconditioning was not working and a solution could not be given except open the window. That is not really 5 star service. The breakfast was well done, which contained a buffet and also a la carte opportunities. Strangely enough, a menu card was not given on both mornings.Also coffee was forgotten twice. Anyhow, the stay was really nice, good beds, a spacious room and a beautiful bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Also pluspoints for adding a free of charge bed for our 10 yr old child.

During checkin they chargef my card with 300€ !!

The swimming pool/wellness area was full of young children when I visited on a Saturday evening between 6/7pm. There were a large number of children in the jacuzzi playing with water toys supplied by the hotel, which was not a very relaxing experience. I could not see any signs which said that children should not use the jacuzzi, or the pool area after a particular time.

Not a particularly relaxing experience in this area of the hotel !

A very stylish hotel in the middle of town. Easy access to shopping streets (and Christmas markets at this time of year).
Staff are extremely helpful and very friendly.

The restaurant is top class (both breakfast and dinner)
There was a small issue with the drain in in no time there was a technical staff to assist. Top service.

The gym is well equipped with modern machines and although not used the spa looked very good as well.

This hotel was chosen as a base for visiting Ham the Christmas markets. Great 5* hotel within easy access of central Hamburg. 10 minute walk. Literally a 5 minutes walk from Hamburg Railway Station. Guests should note that you have to take the lift up from ground level to the Reception, also depending which entry you use you will have to walk through a shopping arcade.

Perfect stay!

We stayed here for a mini honeymoon with our 10 month old son and searched high and low to find a high class family friendly hotel and we hit the jackpot. Honestly can not fault this hotel in any way. From the second we stepped inside we knew we were going to love it. Every single member of staff were outstandingly professional and so friendly. The pictures of the rooms really don’t do them justice- they are so luxurious and perfectly equipped. The spa facilities are wonderful and the food is exceptional. The location is perfect as it couldn’t be more centrally located whilst still being quiet all night long. We can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Great value for money. Thank you for a fabulous stay m!

Property is located in an active area of Hamburg close to shopping, dining, and historical sites. Property is within easy walking distance of the Hamburg main train station.

We took a cab from Hamburg airport to the hotel. With a little planning, the S1 train from the airport stops five minutes from the hotel. This is faster and less expensive.

Beautiful building, great room and very comfortable bed! The shower was strong, constant water pressure and no surprises with change in water temperature.

We received a friendly welcome to our hotel upon arrival. I believe it was Marie who showed us to our room, she was so helpful and professional, i was impressed with her excellent customer service. Our room was nicely decorated, VERY comfortable, the shower was epic, and our room had one of the best floorplans ive seen in a hotel. The location was quite convenient with shopping and cafes right outside the hotel and in very close proximity to Hamburgs main train station. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel.

First impressions were excellent, with a concierge waiting as the taxi pulled up
We arrived very early & expected a bag drop. Unexpectedly our room was ready. Check in was swift.
The room was a really good size with tasteful decor & all the extras we could want including large TV with many channels, Nespresso coffee maker, minibar - we just wanted the fridge.
The bathroom/dressing room was huge with plenty of storage, wetroom, bath, etc.
The gym & pool area were clean, tidy and better equiped than expected.
We didn't use the hotel restaurant or minibar - we felt the prices were not good value.
We ate at nearby restaurants of which there are plenty within walking distance.
All in all the Park Hyatt is a wonderful hotel in a perfect position for exploring the lovely city of Hamburg,
We will visit again soon.

Can't fault the staff, who made a big fuss over me since it was my birthday during my stay (2 day business trip), surprising me with a cake and card in my room (a delicious cake at that!). Room was spotless, capacious, and very comfy, with all the amenities you look for from 5*, e.g. lovely toiletries and a hairdryer that actually works; Nespresso machine etc. Only disappointing things were the shower, which came out at an odd angle so you had to lean diagonally backwards to use - frustrating! And TV lacking in options - no English channels other than BBC World News, all films pay per view. Room service was also 'til 11pm, rather than 24 hour - watch out for that if you work evenings when abroad - though food was superb. Wifi is OK strength wise but a bit of a faff - constantly having to re log on, which is tiresome when working. Otherwise all good.

Overall a classic 5* hotel, that doesn't feel too pretentious and has thoughtful staff. Just a few niggles stopping it being a home run.

Spacious, well located and elegant hotel

This hotel sits right in the heart of the inner city and is 3 mins from the station. It sits over a sweet arcade of engaging shops and leads through to the main shopping centre of Hamburg.
The rooms are exceptionally spacious, tastefully maintained and comfortable. The heated floor in the spacious and well appointed bathroom is superb.
Security is excellent and built in to the operations and structure of the hotel.
The swimming pool is a good size and is accompanied by a spacious spa and sauna.
The gym includes a rowing machine which was popular with one member of our party.
The staff are keen to assist and provide very relevant and useful information. If I was regularly visiting Hamburg I would always stay in this hotel, and I’m sad that living in Australia I can’t enjoy it more frequently.

This was my second stay at Park Hyatt Hamburg and like last time, I was beyond happy with the beautiful room (two-level apartment) and the service at the hotel. From check-in with Johanna to having packages delivered, to room service, everything was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel and location for anyone staying in Hamburg. It's not cheap but the experience is worth it.

We stayed in a clubroom, which gave us access to an additional lounge serving light snacks and drinks all day, which was a nice touch. Room was good, facilities excellent and staff very helpful. Would have liked more milk available in room, but that is a minor point. Overall a very good stay. The hotel was handily placed for the centre of Hamburg.

My Favorite Hotel

This is my favorite hotel anywhere. The Park Hyatt Hamburg is beautifully appointed, excellently maintained, has large rooms with the best bath/shower in Europe. The staff is outstanding and is extremely helpful. The Park Hyatt Hamburg has a good restaurant with a great breakfast and nice bar. It's in a perfect location for shopping, sight seeing and is only two blocks from the main train station. There is simply nothing not to like.

FABULOUS HOTEL IN CENTRAL HAMBURG

My gf and I just returned from Hamburg, where we stayed at the Park Hyatt for 3 nights and 4 days. It was everything the previous reviews suggested it would be and more. Lovely modernistic decor; super-clean; perfectly located for getting around Hamburg on foot or by public transportation (there's a U-bahn station 150 ft away); and an excellent value for what you get. Our room was huge and beautifully appointed, with gorgeous wood paneling and furniture, and had a wonderful bed with luxury bed linens. The all-marble bath was too, with high-quality bath products, lots of space and excellent water pressure. The housekeeping staff was first-rate, going above and beyond to accommodate our requests for supplies and cleaning times. We had occasion to use the front desk/concierge services for a number of things like directions, advice about the safety of various locations after dark, etc., and they were just great, answering every question and meeting other small requests immediately. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant one night, and it was the best meal of our entire two-week trip to several major European cities. Although somewhat expensive (as you'd expect), it has a world-class chef and impeccable service. Check-in and bell staff were super-helpful and pleasant too, cheerfully assisting with our extensive photo gear and luggage.

We don't give out many \"5\" ratings, but the Hamburg Park Hyatt absolutely deserves one. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Very nice stay - convenient to Hamburg Hbf (central station) and walkable to Rathaus and many other tourist attractions. Large room with ample space, nicely appointed bathroom with huge shower / tub area. Staff were friendly and helpful, including allowing me to leave my bag after check-out to do a bit more exploring before my train home. I didn't explore the gym or spa as I had limited time, but I saw several guests headed in and out. My only complaint was the very overpriced breakfast (about 35 Euro) which led me to a great local cafe and a delicious breakfast for one-third of that price.

Great Hotel in Central Hamburg

Was here for a week (5 days) for a business trip in late August 2016. After two days of ordering room service for dinner the staff got to know me and offered to send up something from the hotel's restaurant instead of the regular room service menu. Such a nice gesture. There were several other little things the staff also did to make my stay excellent. In addition to the staff, the hotel is well situated downtown. It is in walking distance of many locations but also within a 5 minute walk of 2 subway lines and the central train station.

Once I had been moved from a room overlooking the busy pedestrian street to a room looking into the central atrium I was more than happy with the room. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were great, particularly the fitness/pool area. My meal was excellent. A good base for exploring the city centre.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night on business. The staff were excellent and the room, whilst very big, extremely comfortable and well equipped had one or two issues. The curtains would not close properly leaving gaps allowing other guests to see into my room and in particular the bed it self! I had to use a chair + a cushion pushed up against the window with the curtains wrapped around it to ensure total privacy. Not what one would expect for a 5 Star hotel. The room service meal was almost cold due the cold plate on which it was served. It was warm enough to eat and since it was 9:30pm after a tiring day in the evening I really didn't want to wait another 30 odd minutes. The next morning, the water was entirely cold so I couldn't even have a shower!

This was reported to the staff during check out but this is really is unacceptable because it was otherwise a very good hotel.

We were a couple visiting for the statt of the Christmas market season. We had not been to Hamburg before and didn'tknow the several areas, so we chose Old Town for its central location and the Park Hyatt for its gym/swimming facilitiea as well as the good reviews on TripAdvisor and Expedia.
It exceeded expectations. The food was good. The room was large and bright, with a good bath/shower wet room area and spacious wardrobe. The tea and coffee making facilities were good.

I had a weekend between meetings that I wanted to spend in Hamburg and decided to stay at the Park Hyatt. I ended up with a huge, extremely nice room. Possibly a normal room, or possibly somewhat special, but I had simply booked a low cost room in the hotel. In the top ten of hotel rooms I've ever stayed in.

Anyway, the hotel is right off of the pedestrian shopping street, two short blocks from the main train station and a couple of museums, and a short walk to the city center. Pretty much perfect.

Close to the most imtersting parts of the citiy

This hotel is good, close to many interesting parts of a great and busy city, but it is a little cold, not very friendly. Big rooms, nice bathroom, everything works well. Breakfast is somewhat boring and very expensive if you do the mistake of not buying it when booking.

Excellent hotel in a very good location

My family of four absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are big with expansive bathrooms. They provide bathrobes and slippers that most hotels no longer do. The front staff were helpful and friendly. Shops and dining places are all around. Main train station is less than 10 mins away providing access to pretty much of the city. There is train connection from airport. Travel by train to rest of Europe is likewise easy. Being in our first stop on a 3-week holiday, our only concern is that our stay here may be the one to beat.

A Very Nice Surprise

I traveled to Hamburg with a colleague for business and chose the Park Hyatt for a combination of location and value. The hotel is located in a very good shopping area just 2 blocks from the main train station. It is also walking distance from many of the most interesting sights.

The Park Hyatt doesn't feel like a typical big urban hotel. In fact, it really has the feel and vibe of a boutique property. The public spaces are nice and inviting. The room was fantastic. It was large and had the best bathroom that I have ever had in a hotel.
