The hotel is always great. The location is perfect and the beds are comfortable. I love the shower, the small mini bar and the amenities. I think this is my favorite little hotel.
However, this trip was irritating. I stopped by at 11am to drop my bags. I had a show at 1pm. A security personal stopped me saying the hotel had been reserved and I could not enter. Even to just drop my bag. I asked him if there was somewhere nearby I could leave my items and he said ‘I don’t know’ very rudely. Nowhere in my booking information did it say the hotel was not accessible until 2. I did an online check in, it asked what time I was arriving, I selected 11am and there was nothing mentioned. I luckily had stayed at another hotel in the area the nights before so I took my bags all the back to my former hotel. I would have actually left them there to begin with, had I known. They could have at least offered to tag my bag and take in on to the luggage room when I came by. Or apologized that I could not enter. I was met with hostility.
Now, the person that checked me in was kind, the room was still fine. But the way I was treated was not fair. I usually get in before noon, and now I wonder if there will be more instances like this. Due to this, I will probably go to the hotel next door instead.

I have stayed here before and had great experiences. However, the hotel’s restaurant was closed for renovations, and there aren’t many restaurants close by. The neighborhood is sketchy at night. Lots of homeless people. Also, the refrigerator didn’t work when I checked in… and wasn’t repaired. I still like the hotel and the staff, and most likely come back.

I have been to Hamburg a few times, and this hotel always catches my eye. The name is actually special to me. This trip, I decided to spend a few nights here. The stay was amazing. The check in was quick and the receptionist was super helpful with the layout of the hotel. I had help getting my bags to my room, which was more than helpful. I love the mini bar, well stocked. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. I loved to wake up and see the city, before heading out for my day. I felt safe the whole time too. It was walkable from the train station and to the city for shopping.
Next time I am in Hamburg, I will be sure to book here again.

Unfortunately not a great and pleasant experience as far as I am concerned. As soon as i arrived by Taxi the porter guy just ignored me and ran in side back into the hotel (maybe they were not expecting someone that looked like me). The location and cleanliness was average. The toilet had a bad odour and smell throughout my stay. Room was very hot and even when i complained the engineers looked at it but nothing was done and it was still the same. I asked for an iron when i arrived but i had to wait a very long time and had to phone the reception several times until it finally arrived. Cleaning of the rooms themselves was not very good, there was hair on bedsheets, pillow cases were not inserted properly maybe done in a rush but the actual pillow were still hanging out of pillow case. In general i was expecting something better for a 4 star hotel.

I stayed at the Hyperion for 5 nights. Every single night an alarm in the TV went off at midnight. Each day I asked that someone disable it. One guy tried but unsuccessfully and the wires were buried so I couldn’t unplug it. When I checked out I was told that there are several rooms with this feature and they didn’t know how to fix the problem. The hotel is in a lousy neighborhood with no restaurants nearby. Don’t stay here!

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was modern, rooms were clean and staff was excellent. The concierge gave us excellent advice! Hyperion is located in a quiet area about a 7-8 minute walk from the Main train station in Hamburg, which was a less desirable area. There wasn’t much for restaurants around but we were more interested in being conveniently located and safe for travel. This hotel exceeded our expectations!

Auffallend freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Ich habe falsch gebucht. Das am WE in Hamburg. Es wurde sich intensiv um eine Lösung bemüht, meinen Fehler auszumerzen. Mit Erfolg und zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit. Großartiges Frühstück. Geräumige Zimmer. Sehr gute Lage. Einziges Manko. Das Bad könnte etwas besser gepflegt werden. Aber nichts weshalb ich andere Gäste abraten würde. Parkhaus auch OK. Ansonsten etwas viel Hotelgeruch. Wahrscheinlich bin ich aufgrund dessen das ich viel in Hotels lebe etwas überempfindlich. Alles in allem eine tolles Hotel

Die Zimmer waren schön. Wir haben zwei Zimmer für meine Eltern und mich gebucht und haben zwei nebeneinander liegende Zimmer bekommen, die durch eine Doppeltür verbunden waren (man konnte, wenn beide Parteien es wollten, die Türen öffnen). Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Wir haben 3 schöne Tage in Hamburg verbracht. Das Hotel hat dazu beigetragen. Schönes und ruhiges Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal. Besonders hervorzuheben ist hier der Herr, der die Gästebetreuung rechts von der Rezeption betreut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein Cocktail in der Hotelbar in der 11. Etage als Abschluss des Tages mit schöner Aussicht und tollem Service ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Vi var meget ærgerlig over vores ophold. Der blev kommunikeret med hotellet fra start at vi skulle bruge en babyseng. Da vi møder op har vi fået et værelse lige ved elevatorerne (3 stk) og et værelse som har fået en alm seng ind (hvilket en baby ikke kan sove på)
