Have to go two floor by stairs with luggage. Then elevator/lift got. One more floor by stairs then receiption. It’s horrible for me to get reception with luggage. Out side noise. Room ok. Near central station. Price little high. Mohiuddin 6/11/25

Did the job, near to Central Station, but meant there was a lot of external noise from the locals all through the night with shouting on the street, windows did not block out noise. Also a random empty bottle of vodka was left on the shelf in room from a previous occupant.

Decent hotel right next to Hamburg station. The road it’s on is a bit sketchy, full of junkies and refugees sleeping rough, but if you’re a solo traveller as I was it’s easy enough to navigate around and you can quickly walk to the awesome bits of Hamburg or jump on the metro. Staff were helpful and all spoke good English. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Would stay again.

It was extremely inconvenience.
But we had to push a service button for door to open. There were stairs you had to go to 1st floor to get to the elevator no one was there to help you to take your suitcase to the 1st floor that is where the office was, there is a camera But they see there are 2 ladies coming up the stairs with suitcase. They did not bother to assist when we arrived to the office. Then I asked the gentleman to help me take suitcase towards the elevator their to internet. Tconchang 25 y

Area is bad, entrance to hotel is intimidating and stairs inside are steep with lift only stopping between floors so stairs are mandatory

Thh hotel is in a great location of train station, and the St Georg quarter is great for eating and very diverse. But I feel that it being in the midst of the Turkish quarter of the city, some people may feel they are no longer in Germany. Despite it being quite safe, I heard a female police officerr telling two women to not walk around alone at night. that is something I would probably not recommend in any majjor city in the world, specially in the areas wwith a lot of businesses, closed at night, and daylight busy streets being eempty at night.

The picture of the hotel does not show reality of the area.one can hardly find the name.it is in a very comercial area with many people around. It does not look very safe in the evening.
Inside the hotel is ok though no elevator in the first area. Double stairs before the reception.
Staff are ok fir questions. Both speak some English and try to help.
The rooms are very basic, no coffee machine or microwave.
Room is clean daily if you wish.
No Netflix Or Utube only one English Chanel for news all day
Close to the U trains train stations and FlixBus .
The city if you explore many beautiful places to see.
People in general don’t offer help though some people speaks English.

The location is in a sketchy part of town. I felt safer spending most of my time locked in my room. Even though I didn’t exactly feel safe in my room either, because there was a dark alley right outside my window with people screaming into the early hours of the morning.

Lots of stairs!

Stairs everywhere! About 50 steps up to reception. Then lift runs from landings halfway between floors. More stairs!
Room very warm, then when opened window wide, lots of noise from aircon and kitchen.
For the price it’s ok - not much nearby is cheaper. Quite close to main station. Decor ok, but typical for an old, low budget hotel. Sheets clean and bed comfy. Good shower. Staff were great.

The Property was 500m from the Central Station, the front door hidden between two shops with their awnings out. Staff very helpful. Room basic but met requirement, only thing missing was tea and coffee facilities.

OK hotel in a dodgy area.

3 night visit to Hamburg. Hotel is in the Turkish area (which isn't bad lots of great places to eat etc, but it's very busy and noisy), with some dodgy streets and areas surrounding it, prostitutes, junkies, drunks and beggars.
Hotel itself is safe, clean ran by friendly staff. Just a shame where it is.

Единственный существенный плюс данного отеля - близкое расположение от жд и автовокзала. Район этнический, в принципе, не проблема. Но грязный. Лифт есть. Но чтобы до него добраться, необходимо подняться по длинной лестнице с багажом. Сами номера чистые (что несколько контрастирует с окружающим его районом). Кондиционера нет. Персонал приветлив.

Beds were very small, in our room there were 2 single beds joined, but nothing on top of it, so there was a gap in the middle.
Pillows are horrible and didn't smell like they were clean at all.
Walls are very thin, you can hear the door buzzer as if it were in your room and at 6am they start to set breakfast tables making a lot of noise with the plates.
This specific street, although close to the train station, is very busy.
I definitely wouldn't come back and I don't recommend for anyone staying over a night.

Very nice room. Very accomodating. There was no elevator, but that was not a problem as the Staff immediately cam to my assistance. The price was right, and I would have liked to stay longer, but the prices vary. In any case if I happen to be in that part of the world, I will stay there again if the price happen to be the same.

Beware the stairs

Great location near the Hbf. Close to shopping and restaurants. Very diverse and interesting cultural mix of shops, cafes and hotels around. But beware the first 40 steps because the lift starts at the top of these and services the landings between the floors. So no matter what, get in training as I climbed more stairs in this hotel than Led Zeppelin did in getting to Heaven.

The only window looked on an approx. 6 floors high narrow shaft with trash on the ground and a pigeon net on the top. It was very hot so the window had to stay open, but the stench was hard to bear. Simple but functional bath room. Be prepared to climb stairs.

Great for those traveling on train

I booked very last minute when I had mishaps with my train trip and had to head out next morning. The price was great for what I got, it was pretty much next to Hamburg hbf and the room was very nice. Free WiFi was a huge plus too, great for getting in touch with relatives during a trip.

The pictures are very deceiving. The hotel is located on an extremely busy street in between a grocery and a restaurant. The room was clean, small, and the walls were paper thin. You could hear he phone ringing all night long, the front desk staff’s conversations and the traffic/commotion outside.

The room was small, simple and we only wanted a place to sleep and shower. But this was impossible as the bed was old an horrible. The mattress was completely broken and uneven. It was impossible to sleep because the it was like falling from the bed and there was no back support. They gave us 2 single duvets (I was with my boyfriend) and it was a bit awkward. The pillows were also old and smelly, so after the first night I asked them for new pillows but I heard excuses and promises that someone would bring later and it never happened. So, we spent 2 nights without any sleep, ruining our trip. I have been in Germany many times and this was by far the worst hotel I stayed in Germany and one of the most uncomfortable places I slept in life.

My room was sold to someone else

I had originally booked to stay at the Hotel Lumen in Hamburg on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th of July however while at the airport my flight was cancelled. I realise this was not the hotel's fault in any way however when I finally arrived on Tuesday the 18th I was advised because I hadn't arrived the day before my reservation was cancelled, my room had been sold to someone else and that they were now full. I protested that I'd booked and paid for the room so it's up to me if I sleep there or not but I was told the only option was to go across the street to a different hotel and pay for a room there. The manager advised I should have called (although there is no advise to call on my hotels.com booking form) and that he can sell the room for 30 minutes at a time if needed (which gives you some information on the area)

The receptionist was very friendly and nice. We wanted to check out by 4 am to go to the airport, so we booked this hotel for its location and price. The hallways smelt like cigarette, but the rooms were OK, although very small! The beds were comfortable. The WiFi signal was very weak.

Bad choice in Hamburg

Hotel located is suspicious area of the city, \"on the wrong side of the tracks\". Moreover, it does not have a lift from the street level. You have to climb two levels to get to elevator and then one more to get to reception. Room was not well maintained. Shower was clogged and shower door was about to fall. To make matters worse, elevator was being inspected during our departure and had to bring our luggage 4 stories down.

Good location and the staff were really good and helpful but the room was a bit dank, there was a cigarette smell in the corridor, and the hallway light bulb was blown. Also, the front door of the hotel was difficult to get through even after check in time had started. Overall it was okay but given how competitive the market is it's likely you can find somewhere nicer.

Das Zimmer war leider insgesamt sehr dreckig, alles verstaubt (Der Staubsauber hat zur Wand immer einen Sicherheitsabstand eingehalten)
Auf dem Bettzeug waren Flecken!
Der Fernseher ging nur nach erneuten reindrücken des Kabel an, dann durfte die Halterung aber nicht mehr bewegt werden.
Beim Duschkopf kam aus allen Ritzen das Wasser raus, in der Dusche war Grün Span.
