I did not like the room at all, the towels and the sheets were not clean. I only had a small soap and a bag of shampoo for the shower, because if I needed more I had to pay for it. The hotel staff was extremely rude and unwilling to help me, at night it was impossible to sleep due to the noise outside the street and there were two people knocking at my door and did not let me sleep. So, I am unsatisfied with my stay and therefore do not recommend this hotel at all.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Room stank of cigarette smoke, made me deel sick. Was under the impression it was an en suite room, however, its a shared toilet and the shower was at the end of the of the bed

The street rhis \"hotel\" was on was eeally roufh and would not reccomend walking alone as there are junkies and prostitutes all aeound the area

The only positive was that it was 5 minutes away from the rrain station

Well located for the main station and cheap for central Hamburg, but with that clearly come some drawbacks. The hotel is accessed by a fairly steep staircase. And although there are sink and shower in each room the toilet is shared - partly my fault for misreading the property details when I booked, not to have spotted that. But my room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and overall it met my needs

Location is great in terms of food, shopping and transport. Lots of greasy folks wandering the street, yelling and screaming all hours of the night. Didnt feel safe after dark, dirty and lots of graffiti.

I booking one night for one person.
When I arrived there, and found there is no elevator to the third floor, jut by on very steep stairs reaching the office.
And the room is no toilet, every floor has shared toilet, this was not what they put on the web, ( if you are the toilet or washroom sharing, you should write very clearly, right?

I loved how easy it was to get to from the train station! It was a quick walk from the central station. The part of town was a little unsettling at night but I never felt unsafe. I think if you are use to a surburban safe setting you would have thought the part of town was very scary. The over all amenities were great a shower and sink right in the room and a shared toliet not that far from the room. There was only heating. Around 3 or so in the morning there was a lot of drunk people yelling. With this said it was a good price for what I got.

The hotel is very central to everything, including to Hamburg Central Station. The place is clean. Private room, private shower, shared toilette. Staff was friendly. However, check in is a bit strict. Front Desk has to let you into the building. Then you attain keys to your room from front desk. You need to leave keys to front desk when leave the building. It's just a bit of a hassle and makes it inconvenient to have guest visits.

The room had a slightly weird smell when you walked in. The hotel is very unique and at first may seem quite odd. However, the staff is incredibly friendly and we felt safe the entire time. The room and common areas were kept very clean. Overall, would recommend this place for a cheap stay in Hamburg!

Hamburg stay

Hotel close to main train station and underground good for exploring Hamburg and the local area. Lots of steps so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. Comfortable and clean with a shared shower room. We found the area was quite noisy during the early hours of the morning.

Happy Bank Holiday in Hamburg

Excellent location being 2 min walk from HBF, room was great, big enough for the 3 comfy beds with a TV and a shower and sink in the room. Fresh towels and bedding made every day was a pleasant surprise. 24 hour front desk were great with our late arrival and giving recommendations of places to go visit and where is a tourist trap.

Some staff are really unfriendly and abrupt. They thought they are doing you a favour to talk to you! facilities are very minimal and poorly maintained. 1. separate toilet from room. 2. TV set does not work 3. Wifi is free but poor signal throughout, No lift or escalator, 5. unexpected 4% surcharge on payment for room. we thought we paid for the room already via Expedia.

we stayed in hamburg only one night since we were in transfer to other city, we booked a 4 person room (4 guys) and it was excatly what we needed, the staff was friendly and the location is really great (2 blocks from central station). The only thing is the rooms seem a bit old but nothing too bad.

4% surcharge! Free internet in room didnt work, unless I went into hall and stood under the modem.
Hotel was in good position and close to railway station. Was also on the fringe of the red light district, so best not go any further unless u are looking for that. Room was large, and comfort ok. Got no sleep as the street was so noisy, even with the windows shut. Bring ear plugs. Breakfast was included and was a pleasant surprise.

Noisy hotel next to the dodgy areas

This must have been the noisiest hotel I have stayed in since India. I bought ear plugs for the second night! It is right next to the dodgy areas so there are people in the streets all day and night, shouting to each other. Not good for a night sleep. The gaps under and around the door to the room also let you hear anyone in the hall. The younger staff members are great, but the older woman is far from welcoming. It is about a 5 min walk from the station but the area is not the best. Even lonely planet say that the only shady area in the whole of Hamburg is the square just 2 min walk from this hotel. We just had a shower in the room and a shared toilet which was not very clear when booking.

Great location

The hotel is only 2 mins walk from the central station, it is a budget hotel so what you pay is what you get really. The only issue I had was that when I made the booking for the hotel from the website, I thought the payment had been charged straight away, but when I checked into the hotel I was asked to pay. At the time I didn't have enough cash so I had to pay by the credit card, there was a 4% surcharge.

Hotellet hade tydligen ny ägare som inte hade full koll. Frukost var inte längre möjlig att köpa. I rummets garderob låg en jacka och handväska kvar som ingen visste vems det var. Det var rent och städat i rummet men för övrigt var det kanske inte mer att begära till det priset.

Anlände sent, bra att receptionen är öppen 24 h. Fick snabbt ett lugnt rum. Enkelt och lite slitet, men ok för en natt. Handfat och dusch på rummet, delad toa i korridoren. Lövtunna väggar men lugnt denna torsdagskväll. Nya, fina lakan. Sängarna helt ok.
Ingen möjlighet att köpa frukost på hotellet efter ägarbyte 1/10. Vi gick till närliggande stort hotell och köpte oss frukost.

Obs, brant, smal trappa för att komma upp till hotellet. Ingen hiss.

Die Rezeption ist rund um die Uhr besetzt und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Aufteilung von Dusche WC und Zimmer sind jedoch ungewöhnlich.
Die Einrichtung ist spartanisch gehalten, aber sauber.
Für einen günstigen Kurztrip als Unterkunft für die Nacht gut geeignet.

Snusket sidegade men ellers en central beliggenhed lige ved hovedbanen, som for øvrigt er det eneste plus ved dette sted.
Obs: ingen toilet på værelset.

Ingen service: Man får ikke anvist hvor toiletterne er ved ankomst. Wifi virkede ikke og da vi henvendte os til receptionen, fik vi ikke hjælp.
Vi droppede at betale for morgenmad og spiste i stedet på et nærliggende hyggeligt sted.

Generelt bare et virkelig gammelt og slidt hotel med nærmest ingen service.

Liebes Expedia Team, wie könnt ihr so etwas über eure Seite anbieten? Prüft das von euch keiner? Die Bilder und die Realität sind nicht zu vergleichen.

Katastrophe.... Es geht los bei der Eingangstür. Man steht davor, klingelt, ruft an, klingelt wieder und nix passiert. Nach mehrfachen anrufen wurden wir dann in das Wohnhaus eingelassen. Im Haus dann die nächste Überraschung. Renovierungsbedürftig ist lieb ausgedrückt, wie in den Kommentaren vorher schon erwähnt, der Aufgang ist mit großen Koffern schwer zu meistern. Das Personal ist recht freundlich. Der Gang zum Zimmer eng. Das Zimmer relativ groß aber sehr Renovierungsbedürftig, keinesfalls mit den Bildern im Internet zu vergleichen. Die Fenster gehen nicht richtig zu oder sind nicht dicht. Der Lärm von der Straße ist nicht zu überhören (dafür kann das Ho(s)tel nichts) aber einschlafen wird echt zum Problem. Der Schrank ist auf dem Sperrmüll besser aufgehoben. Die Toilette auf dem Gang..... naja, eins war mehr als dreckig und das andere besetzt. Mehr haben wir nicht gefunden. Nach einer schlaflosen Nacht (Polizei, Flaschensammler, Lieferverkehr, Partygästen und Verwirrten Menschen) sind wir direkt 6:30 wieder ausgecheckt.

Fazit.... Nicht zu empfehlen.

Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen in diesem Hotel. Freundliche Dame bei der Reception. Die Lage war sehr gut. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und Geschäfte innerhalb ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Zum grossen Einkaufszentrum Europapassage war es nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss. Die Dusche war im Zimmer und die Toilette war auf dem Flur. Etwas ungewöhnlich. Ich war nur 2 Nächte dort deshalb hat mich das nicht gestört.

Die Hotelumgebung war nachts immer wieder laut. Obdachlose und Betrunkene Leute. Aber Hotel kann da nichts dafür.
Das WLAN in diesem Zimmer Nr. 5 war instabil und auch langsam. Auf jeden Fall verbesserungswürdig.

- Toilette auf dem Gang... (keine Eigene im Zimmer! Man teilt sie sich mit allen anderen Zimmern. Immerhin gibt es Hände- und Flächendesinfektion)
- Dusche steht mitten im Zimmer und dampft in den Raum
- Duschgarnitur undicht. Das Wasser spritzt einem entgegen
- Matratzen durchgelegen
- Frühstück ist ok, aber verglichen mit anderen Hotels nicht sonderlich gut (Aufbackbrötchen waren schon kalt)
- Generell alles abgewohnt und eher unschön

Das Viertel wirkt sehr zwielichtig und ich habe mich nicht wohl gefühlt. Den Schlüssel muss man beim Verlassen des Hotels (immer!) an der Rezeption abgeben - das sagt alles. Für den Preis (bei mir ca. 130€ / Nacht) findet man definitiv bessere Hotels. Einzig das nette Personal (besonders die freundliche Dame am Empfang) hat meinen Aufenthalt angenehm gemacht. Ansonsten kann ich es für \"normale\" Leute, die für ihren Job reisen, definitiv nicht empfehlen.

Das Zimmer war sauber. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war, dass das Klo nicht im Zimmer war. Es waren insgesamt 5 Zimmer die das Klo benutzten. War aber sauber. Am Wochenende war es in der Nacht sehr laut. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Man hat die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in 100m erreicht. Zu Fuß kommst du auch überall gut hin.

Vanvittigt støjniveau fra gaden

Værelset var egentlig okay… Rent sengetøj og okay senge. Rengøringen generelt var ikke noget at råbe hurra for, og der var meget nusset over det hele. Vi overnattede fra tirsdag til onsdag, og der var en larm uden lige fra gaden. Ville af den årsag aldrig booke dette hotel igen. Vores drenge på 8 og 11 var i øvrigt meget utrygge, da hotellet ligger i et meget snusket område… Det var alligevel for meget for dem sammenlignet med den lille landsby i Sønderjylland hvor de kommer fra.

Personalet var venligt, alt andet var SÅ DÅRLIGT!! Du deler toilet med mange andre værelser, går i bad få millimeter fra din seng - gade uro i lange baner og ingen AC, så du nød til at have vinduet åbnet så du kan ikke sove, fordi der er så meget larm.
Folk der sider og sidder og tager en masse over det hele.
Sengen er så dårlig, hovedpude der er tyndere end tynd.
Bæ nede i toiletterne, bliver kun gjort ren en gang om dagen.

Billigt hotel... Eller snarere pension. Det føltes mere som et pensionat, end et hotel. Personalet, snakkede dårligt engelsk, men var venlige. Sengene var af dårlig kvalitet og toilet på gangen. Skulle man tage et brusebad, er det i den brusekabine som står midt i det lille værelse. Når man vælger at bo i det område, nær Hovedbanegården, må man forvente lidt larm, og når værelserne mangler AC og der er 30 grader, er man tvunget til at sove med åbne vinduer. Og larmen er ekstrem! Råb, skrig, slagsmål, udrykning og bilalarmer mm. Morgenmaden var billig men også meget skuffende. Vælger et andet næste gang jeg er i Hamburg.

Das Zimmer ist grundsätzlich sauber. Die WC waren nicht optimal da eines der WC eher dreckig war und Verstopft. Die Dusche im Zimmer konnte man die Wassertemperatur nicht einstellen sodass nur heisses Wasser kam.

Accueil assez compliqué lorsque le personnel ne parle pas anglais, mais si ce n’était que ça… la chambre puait la cigarette, si désagréable que nous n’avons pas pu dormir et avons dû acheter du déodorant, et malgré ça, l’odeur persistait ! Aucune insonorisation, on entend donc les voisins même lorsqu’ils parlent à voix basse mais aussi les personnes se trouvant dans la rue, mais eux hurlent au beau milieu de la nuit… aussi, il n’y a pas de détecteur de fumées mais bon, on était plus à ça près.

Do not stay here

Crappy room with no toilet, shower in the middle of the room, this was not explained when we booked, and pictures of the room was misrepresented .. there vas alot of drug addicts and drunks, around the hotel. When we arrived there was alot of polise cars, and ambulanses in the stedets around the hotel. we just left to stay at another hotel..

WC auf dem Flur,Dusche in das Zimmer montiert,Fußboden defekt,Gardienen abgerissen,Waschbecken gesprungen,Doppelbett Zimmer zweites Bett nicht bezogen,Kühlschrank im Schrank so laut als wäre ein Notstromaggregat im laufenden Betrieb.

Da jeg ankom, var receptionisten utålmodig og uhøflig. Havde ikke særlig god forståelse for mig.

Ud over var hotellet fint til de få dage, men ikke noget, jeg ville vælge igen, da jeg ikke synes, at folk var gode til at gøre rent efter sig på toilettet, og jeg synes, at stedet var et lidt utrygt sted at bo, og en del råben fra gaden, samt at hotellet virkede lidt forladt.

Værelserne var okay, og rengøringen var fin.

This place is near hauptbahnhof in a gay area .. we had a room with shower .. not great, but fine .. the corridor was smelly because of a sewer problem I guess. The staff is nice . The mattress a kinda hard.. outside there was some noise of people.. if you don’t mind all this and only use the place to sleep. It’s good to stay

Naja also wer nicht nach rechts und links schaut und eine Nacht ein Dach über den Kopf braucht dem reicht das aus. Es war grundsätzlich sauber und ordentlich jedoch darf man nicht genauer hinschauen.

Verhältnis Preis-Leistung enttäuschen, Zimmer und Umgebung sind heruntergekommen, das Gemeinschaftsklo im Korridor und mangelhaft funktionstüchtig, die Dusche eine Kabine im engen Zimmer, der Rauchgeruch im Zimmer dürftig überdeckt, die Matraze roch nach Schweiss, in der Dusche lag noch ein benutztes Duschmittel. Wir würden hier nicht mehr absteigen.

Das Zimmer war trotz Fenster dunkel - man musste tagsüber das Licht anmachen. Es hat nach Zigerettenrauch gestunken. Die Gemeinschaftstoilette hatte ein kaputtes Schloss. Unsere Zimmerbewohner haben bis 0 Uhr lautstark eine Party gefeiert inklusive Karaokeeinlage.
