This was my second time staying at HENRI and I would highly recommend it. It is a great location for the Christmas Markets. The room was cosy and comfortable for me and my daughter. The only slightly negative thing was I couldn’t figure out the coffee machine but that wasn’t a big deal as a Starbucks is around the coner

Perfectly located within a 10 minute walk to the town centre and the Maritime Museum. Hotel home was perfect for business travel with a clean open space room. The breakfast was excellent and the staff all very welcoming and helpful. If you want to stay away from the busy and larger hotels then I would recommend the Henri

A stylish and unique hotel
A unique and beautifully laid out suite. The hotel is well situated being close to the main station and in between the main city centre and the Speicherstadt. All of this on top of excellent and friendly service.

I liked everything at and about the hotel. The commitment to design and style was not only attractive and pleasant, but appeared to be genuine and integral, rather than a gimmick or some kind of add-on. I also got the impression that the staff, especially those working in and with the kitchen for breakfast, genuinely enjoyed being there and worked hard to convey that impression. That is not only pleasant for the guests, but reveals a good deal about the hotel and its management. I look forward to staying there again.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I loved it! As a solo female traveller in Hamburg, I felt incredibly safe in this hotel. The reception is 24/7 and a key card is required to access the main hotel door, so that gave an added layer of security.
The abendbrot (evening meal), which was included in the price mon-thurs, was such good value for money and was perfect for me when I didn’t want to eat out alone for a big evening meal.
The decor was my favourite thing, everything was so stylish, clean and comfortable. So many cute and thoughtful touches in the room. The bar and lounge area were so chilled and nice to have a glass of wine in.
Also the spa was amazing value - 2 hours exclusive use for 15 eur, and was beautifully decorated.
Finally, location right by the main station was great and also the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I felt really at home and didn’t want to leave! Will definitely be back again :)

The property was nice, clean and had a fun, funky vibe. There was a kitchen you could access snacks and drinks in 24/7. Service in the night (11:30pm) was slow, and asking for an extra towel was quite a chore, taking 5 minutes and getting questioned why I would need it. Just an odd interaction overall. Everyone was very polite, and if you don’t need an extra towel, I’d recommend the property without reservation.

Henri Hotels aim for elegant quirky style and branding. Lovely reclaimed building, with great tile-work, marble hallways, and brass railings. Staff were multi-lingual, professional and welcoming. Bistro and bar well equipped, fairly priced, and evening salad included in room rate with hot dish specials at a flat price. Great amenities in the hotel (muscle factory fitness room, spa, and laundry. All spotlessly clean. Amazingly central location, within short walking distance of all attractions, churches, the lake and canals. Nearly all of the centre has pedestrian stretches and its very bike friendly. For me, the Henri captured the Hamburg vibe - open, fun, and proud of its heritage. It wasn’t cheap to stay here but it was very good value. I’ll defo go return to this calm, confident but industrious city and Henri hotel.

The hotel is great, but there is a construction area just opposite to the hotel... I was notified about it, but AFTER I made a booking. On my opinion such things should be known in advance, because for some people it could be crucial...

Construction site spoiling a great hotel
Great hotel that I have stayed at numerous times. Unfortunately major building works directly opposite meant construction noise from 0700 until after 2200. Will be avoiding until the works are finished but will return when things are back to normal

We had a fantastic stay here. Room was nice and clean, nicely decorated, good amenities and super powerful shower! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and really liked the self-service fridge for (reasonably priced) drinks. Good location near the train station. Can't fault it. Only issue was building work on an adjacent building site started quite early in the morning on Saturday and woke us up, but can't blame the hotel for that. Would definitely stay here or at another in the chain in another city. Danke.

Love Henri Hotel Hamburg Downtown and come here every year for the Christmas market. The hotel is right in the center of town a few minutes walk from the central station. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and did everything to make sure my room was ready early. The rooms are really nice and modern - so always feels like a treat coming here.

Excellent location with great staff
The hotel is very well located for visiting the city - the main station is 5-10 mins walk from the S1 platform if coming from airport that way & there are 2 underground stations & several bus stops within a few minutes walk. The staff were excellent, really working hard & extremely helpful. breakfast was great & well stocked - it ran for a long time on weekends. Luggage was stored if arriving early or checking out before leaving the city. We didn't use the gym/sauna so can't comment on those.
Unfortunately there were 2 \"downers\" when we were there: 1. The lift wasn't working (Thurs to Mon) so it was quite a trek but the staff kindly carried our cases for us - hopefully it is resolved by now. 2. There is major construction work directly opposite the hotel which starts at 07.00 every day, except Sunday - we were warned by the hotel of potential disruption & as most, if not all hotel rooms face the construction works, there is no avoidance of the noise unless you have very good ear plugs or are a deep sleeper. That said, the staff did their utmost to compensate for both these issues and I would be happy to stay again, even as a light sleeper - there was no noise after 5pm or so . Thanks for a good break

I have stayed here on 3 occasions. I come back because it's an elegant, welcoming, friendly and relaxed stay. Rooms are stylishly furnished, spacious with comfortable beds and excellent shower in spotless bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with a wide variety served buffet style.
The staff is always helpful but , on this occasion, exceptionally so. I stayed for four nights but on the third day a problem developed with the lift and it was out of action for a few days. As I was on the fourth floor, this presented problems. Stairs, particularly four flights of them, are not easy for me. When I said this to the lady at reception, she was very helpful and secured me a room on the first floor. This was kind and much appreciated.
It struck me that If every hotel I stayed in had a lady as charming, friendly, helpful and efficient as the one I met here, it would be hard to choose where to stat. For Hamburg, it's definitely here.

From there a lift is available to guest rooms. Construction was active during he day across the street, but was not an inconvenience in the evenings.

All the staff were really helpful and friendly. I got a mail before the staff explaining building work was going on nearby but my room was on the ground floor facing the car park and I heard nothing. Ok, not a great view but I’d take that over quiet. Managed to get the last parking space and it is tight getting in but doable in a small/medium car. Open kitchen is great if you don’t want to go out and a decent spread for breakfast. They gave us a map with 2 suggested walking routes of the main sights and managed to do both in half a day without hanging around or using public transport so that makes it a big plus for convenient location. Would happily stay here again.

This boutique hotel is perfectly sized and the service was excellent. my room was roomy and comfortable, including the best pillows I’ve had in Europe. They have a fancy coffee machine in each room, very upscale, and by European standards the bathroom was sizable. The reception and wait staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. They helped me figure out the German transportation system, which is not simple for a foreigner, and got me into my room quickly even though I arrived early. The breakfast is excellent, and one of my favorite things about the hotel is that they have self-serve options in a refrigerator, including healthy items, like salads, soups, and yogurt. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is well maintained and has some \"cute aspects\" but it is overall basic. The bathroom did not have many basic amenities. They also only gave me pillows and a cover for just one person in a two person bed. Service was a bit cold. I also would have liked my door to have a lock. Germany's hotels are just more basic, but I would not say this was a 4 star hotel. It is more 3 star.

This is a lovely city hotel. We had a great stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. The breakfast was good and the location perfect for the markets and sights. Highly recommend. There is building work going on outside the hotel but with the windows closed we didn't hear a thing and it did not impact our stay.

There’s so much to say about this hotel experience. First, this hotel is in one of the best areas of Hamburg. It is located near shopping and walking and tours. It is only a five minute walk from the train station. The rooms are more than adequate and the hotel staff was very friendly. That being said, this was an extremely frustrating experience. We checked in and realized that our heating towel rack did not work and reported it right away. They seem concerned and promised Someone would come up and check on it. That never happened. We then reported it for the three days we stayed here. Nothing was done, and there was no concern about it from the staff. We were offered a free hot drink for our inconvenience. We decided to stay another night and we were told we could keep our room rather than moving everything we owned. 15 minutes later, they told us that would not be possible. It was extremely frustrating. During our stay, the elevators were non-functioning and we were on the third floor. Normally that’s not a problem but my husband suffers from Parkinson’s so it was a little bit difficult walking up and down the stairs for two days.

The location was perfect as it was close to the train station. A lot of room in the suite and nicely decorated. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The only thing that was slightly difficult was lifting the luggage up about 5 stairs to get into the hotel. However, I am sure if I asked for help, they would have! Excellent stay!
