I would not book this hotel again.

The room and bath were small, poorly lighted and had NO AIR CONDITIONING, only a plug-in fan or an open window. Our fan the first night was annoyingly loud. In the morning we asked for a replacement fan while we were out; when we came back at the end of the day it had not been done and the clerk at the front desk made us carry up a replacement fan ourselves. The hotel is 1/2 block from a fire/ambulance station so open window was not an option because of the incessant sirens. There are no actual restaurants nearby, just quick take out food. I would not book this hotel again.

I really enjoyed my stay but I can’t give 5 stars because the lighting in the room is very inconvenient (no light in the bedroom and both the bedside lights didn’t work) and the wifi signal in the room was terrible. Other than that, it was clean and quiet.

The Park Hotel is located very close to the Berliner Tor u-bhan station with train service from the airport via the S1 train. The property is clean and well maintained. The room was a bit cozy but nice. For me the downside was the pillows which seemed to be hermetically sealed and it was like sleeping on an airbag.

The breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold breakfast items.

The city center and attractions are easy to get to due to the train station being near by.

paying 4 star prices for a 3 star hotel

unfortunately not a very comfortable stay its not a holel if you have disabilities or if your a large person as i hat to upgrade and pay extra just for a larger bathroom and there is no air conditioning and for a 4 star hotel paying over 350 its very expensive but on the plusside the bar personnel we re very helpful and friendly

The bathroom was very disappointing. The shower curtain leaked all over the floor, the shower head would not point in a proper direction I had to hold it the whole time. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. I was told there was no cleaning service but some reason around 11/12 someone attempted to open my door. Honestly the only good part was the breakfast.

I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel. For location, I would give them 9/10 as it’s very near public transport, however the rooms are very small, there’s no ventilation and heating in the rooms. Decorations are out dates too.

Comfy bed but not much else

Staff were sometimes unfriendly except for when we were leaving. The food at the restaurant was substandard however the room was spacious although it felt humid but the fan was sufficient to provide enough coolness for sleep. The bed was too low for my preference although I would not fault the hotel for this in particular.

There is no air-conditioning in this property. Europe was having a heat-wave and they expected us to open the windows and use a table fan. Bathrooms are small; room is small. Staff were unhelpful.

The lobby smelled of food from the restaurant and it was humid from the lobby to the room. We were perspiring as soon as we got into the front door - which was closed; not opened up for ventilation.

The lifts don't work very well. The property is not as nice as the pictures show. I had to call up another property in town and moved out within an hour. They could not even give me a statement of accounts when I asked for one. I'm in the process of getting a refund for 3 'paid but not used' hotel nights.

Do not reserve this property!

Needs investment in air conditioning.

The big problem with this hotel is its lack of air conditioning. I stayed there on a rather warm and humid night and didn't enjoy the experience. The hotel is otherwise modern and in quite good condition. My laptop also told me that the wifi was insecure and best avoided.

The shower was soo small that I could barely stand in it. Happy to be back home so I can take a proper shower. If that is how all the showers in the rooms are, then it is really terrible. Maybe I was just unlucky. But a very terrible experience.

This hotel is easily accessible from the airport via Hamburg's excellent transportation system. Just take S1 to Berliner Tor and you will be about a two minute walk. It made getting around Hamburg very easy.

Check in was a breeze. However, I was given the wrong room number and spent a good amount of time looking for room 113. Found out there was no room 113 (it doesn't exist due to the number 13). The receptionist laughed for a bit then apologized.

The room was a decent size and quiet.

There is a fridge included in the room, but the only thing inside was a bottle of champagne.

Wifi is included, but note there is a limit of how much data you can use. I believe it was 5 GB for five days.

They have a full bar and a restaurant in the lobby which I did not use as I was only here for two evenings. They also have a vending machine for snacks and drinks. And a coffee machine for a nominal amount of euros.

Very small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. In photographs they appear bigger. I had to rum tap for long time before changing from hot to cold water. The water drainage in bathroom was very slow. The service was very bad and even after rightful complain we did not get a new room.

The hotel was fine. Quite cramped room and bathroom. Room was very warm and heating controls were nowhere to be found so it was a fairly uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast ok. All in all it was plausible but if you like a modern, clean and spacious hotel then this isn’t the one for you!

Friends Meeting Up.

We had a studio room which was at the side over looking the park and had a lounge area which was nice to be able to sit in.The hotel was near to the underground which was an advantage as we travelled around the city. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed the whole time we were there. Also the bar was not always available and drinks were not allowed up in our rooms.

Only go if you want the staff to treat you cold

The staff does not understanding the meaning of the word “hospitality” there was many problems with the WiFi, as well as no one ever answering the reception phone or even being attentative at the desk. The entire time the staff was cold and unhelping. Once they have your money they do not care and their job is over.

This is not a 4 star hotel by any means

Poor location next to a very busy road junction and major rail station with klaxons sounding for the arrival of every train. Opposite one of Hamburg's main fire stations with emergency vehicles sirens going all the time.

The is no air conditioning in the rooms. If you open the windows you will not get any sleep. Decent sized rooms i good condition but a bizarre layout. the bathroom is at one end of the room and there is no mirror in there. Also no anti-slip mat in the bath/shower. Handbasins x 2, bidet and toilet are in another room at the other end of your bedroom - Bizarre. Bathroom and Toilet very narrow.

Mattress very soft. Pillows terrible. No safe. No air conditioning.

Very good WiFi. No InRoom Safe !!

Breakfast is very basic continental stuff with coffee as weak as dishwater. Bar does not open until 5 pm. if you want a drink during the day - tough. You can only get coffee from a vending machine during the day.

Reception staff are mixed. One young lady very helpful. rest of the male staff are useless and lazy. They spend most o their time on the back office with headphones on listening to their music or whatever. Reception is unmanned for 70% of the time.

Hotel is situated also in a mainly immigrant area - Middle-Eastern/Turkish. There are no restaurants within 1 mile except one Turkish one.

Contributed to a very special trip

I'd gone to Hamburg for something special in my life. The hotel not only did not \"tarnish\" the experience, but ADDED to it. In particular: Friendly, helpful, accomodating staff. The location was good for me, and the immediate environs of the hotel (grassy parkland, with trees) were very pleasant after time in the city centre.

The hotel was not \"in the centre\"... but was CLOSE to it. Close in miles, and VERY close when you add in the U-Bahn (and S-Bahn) stations at Berliner Tor, just two minutes easy walk from the hotel. (And the S-Bahn takes you directly... 20 minutes?, Euro 3.20 (or included, if you use a Hamburg card... good for tourists.)

Interesting \"Green Roof\" on the canopy over entrance... don't miss that! You can have a good look at it from the stairway from the lobby.

Be sure to try the hot milk with vanilla from the lobby drinks machine. VERY nice at end of day!

Check in was fast and smooth with multi-lingual staff. Restaurant looked nice but didn't eat there. Hotel and room were clean. The room was small, one might say \"cramped.\" Probably a good size for one person and a single size bed. The bathroom was good. The location is close to the train stop and the trip to the airport is about 20 mins and costs less than 4 euros. I would stay here again.

Bad start, but otherwise OK

Initially got put in a smoker's room despite booking a non-smoking room because no other rooms were available. Then had to move to another room for the duration of my stay. Despite this bad start, hotel is modern and comfortable. Its off-centre location worked for me as I wanted to be near the U4 metro line which had a station nearby. It is quite a long walk to the city centre.

The location of hotel was far away from events in Hamburg, but good access to public transportation. All things were nice, but there is problem with the door of my room. My room was in a corridor that was separate from the main corridor. every time, someone came to corridor, the door of room started to shake. Specially, in the morning around 8, so many people came inside of corridor. I could not sleep well in the morning. In addition, there was another problem. I cant understand this strange thing. The room was very nice protected from noise from outside of hotel, but the noise of inside hotel can easily come to the room. Maybe, it as the problem of the door of my hotel.

Would recommend for short stay

Perfectly locate hotel, right next to Berliner Tor station from where you can catch a train to most places of interest. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful and it has recently been refurnished.
The only downsides are the price of breakfast ( however there are several cheap options nearby) and the hotel bedrooms and bathrooms are very small but perfectly adequate for a short break.

We chose this hotel for its location and price. We were upgraded to a studio which was not huge but adequate. It was however very clean with a lovely comfortable bed.
Very disappointed with not having an Iron and an ironing board in the room.
As a couple from the UK we expected Tea and coffee making facilities in the room (but there was none!)
We also expected to have a selection of English speaking channels on the TV(there was only 1news channel). This was disappointing.

The hotel is not in a good area the park next to it has homeless people and they are also at the top of the tube station .
Some of the rooms are a very odd shape and the bathrooms are dangerous. The shower spray is straight out of the bath . And the stupid door contraption on the shower cubicle doesn't work . Wifi Would not work upstairs either .

The staff was great always willing to help. I only have a couple of things that I would improve. First one is bathroom was very (very!) little and second one I couldn't iron my clothes by myself. However about the second case I must say that they provide a ironing service that works really well.

Under dit lagen på sengen ligger en knirkende gummi overtræk, som knirker og varmer. Det er sikkert super hvis du tisser i sengen eller får lyst til at tømme en flaske babyolie på den 😂
04:50 blev der støvsuget udenfor værelset - det er dejligt der er rent, og så er man jo vågen og kan få noget ud af dagen.

Der var ikke beskidt, bare super slidt.

Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider hatte das Zimmer keine Klimaanlage und es war deshalb sehr stickig. Wegen des Straßenlärms konnte man das Fenster während der Nacht nicht geöffnet lassen. Die Matratzen sind zu weich für einen erholsamen Schlaf. Vorteilhaft war die Lage des Hotels; nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zur U- und S-Bahn Berliner Tor. Geeignet für einen Wochenendaufenthalt.

Absolute Frechheit. Im Zimmer ist es heißer als draußen. Dusche mit diesen Plastikwänden einfach lächerlich. Meine schwangere Frau konnte sich nicht mal ordentlich umdrehen in dieser tollen Dusche ohne halb in der Toilettenschüssel zu stehen. Matratze im Schlafzimmer ähnelt einem Schaukelbett… ich würde diese Unterkunft NIE wieder buchen! Wem es gefällt kann den Wagen des Room Service den ganzen Tag im Flur bewundern. Bewegt hat er sich kein einziges Mal. Andere Hotels haben hier Abstellräume.

Prima verblijf, kan beter

Op zich een goed hotel maar qua ligging niet perfect. Doordat je vanaf het hotel eerst langs het station moet om in het centrum te komen kom je langs (veel) zwervers. Hotel is oud maar wel prima. Helaas hadden de kamers geen airco.

Gute Anbindung, tolles Frühstück

Von Außen ist das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Zimmer war klein aber sauber und ausreichend für eine Städtereise. Besonders gut hat uns die Anbindung in die Innenstadt gefallen. Mit U-Bahn und S-Bahn war alles super schnell zu erreichen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war auch klasse. Wir würden uns wieder für das Hotel entscheiden.

Buon rapporto qualità prezzo per la stanza, considerando che si trova in una zona quasi centrale. Comodissima per i collegamenti, metro vicinissima, anche per areoporto. Bella zona

Lätt att ta sig från hotellet till tunnelbanan. Fanns gott om parkeringsplatser när vi kom med egen bil.

In general good location but due to construction work around the hotel not easy to get to.
Lovely staff and very clean.
Room and bathroom were pretty small and no aircon. Very hot, even with the provided fan and window open.
