There was no upkeep, no fresh towels or tea and coffee replaced. On thr 3rd night i asked them to replace our coffee... they left new coffee sachets but also left the dirty mugs! Didnt leave us anything clean.

I recently spent my holiday at a hotel near Berliner Tor in Hamburg, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is one of the biggest advantages — just a short walk from the U-Bahn station, making it incredibly easy to reach the city center, the harbor, and other major attractions. Despite being well-connected, the area itself felt calm and safe.

The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely designed, with all the essentials provided. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the bathroom was modern and spotless.

Service was friendly and efficient. The staff at reception were helpful with directions and recommendations, and check-in/check-out went smoothly.

Overall, I’d happily recommend staying near Berliner Tor in Hamburg for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and good value. I’d gladly stay again on my next trip to the city.

The hotel itself is fairly standard, decent rooms and clean, however, the bathroom constantly had an odor of raw sewage coming through the drains, the staff were not so friendly nor helpful. We came in at checkin time and were told we had to wait to check in until all the people arriving on a tour us were checked in, yet none of the people had disembarked the bus that had just pulled up to the front. The location is very drab. There is a lot of roadworks in the area, making it difficult to get to from the train stop, and there is nothing in the area in terms of restaurants or shops. Not even a supermarket or kiosk. We will not stay here again, better to pay more and be more central

Not worth the money

There was no air conditioning in the room. There was lots of street noise and we were on the 6th floor. There were no washcloths. Street parking was always available. Smokers always were outside at the entrance so I always smelled like cigarettes. The bed was two twins with a flimsy mattress topper that slid off the bed each night. I was promised a queen sized bed. The kitchen was undergoing renovations so all you could eat was pizza.

The hotel was nice, in an excellent condition. The cleaning staff seems to be somewhat rude, as we found our items thrown around the bathroom after their visit; they also seem to have shake our suitcases while moving them around, as their content was not in the order we left it. The area around Berliner Tor station was turned into a massive construction ground, which made the access to the hotel very inconvenient.

If you do stay, the short cut through the park to the station is much more convenient than the route shown on google maps

Booked this hotel being close to Berliner Tor and the S-Bahn.

About 7-8 minute walk from the S-Bahn, I really enjoyed staying here. Modern and fresh, they did a great breakfast and the hotel was very quiet.

Would definitely stay here again.

It was pretty good, however I think it would be a good idea to have an ice machine for the guests as I have seen in US.
This particular location, there are construction going on which makes it a bit annoying. I also would have like to have a coffee machine in the lobby for the guests after the working hour.
Overall the hotel is very nice and friendly people at the reception desk and woderful cleaning crew.

The hotel provides easy access to the s-bahn that can take you to the centre of the city and elsewhere. it was clean and comfortable but the carpet was quite badly stained in the room we were in and the furniture scuffed in places. The staff at reception were welcoming and lovely. What we were shocked by was the cost of parking and of breakfast - the former would have been 35 euros per night and breakfast was 25 Euro each!! We were fortunate to find parking on the street but had breakfast the first morning, without first checking the cost; we really did not expect it to be so expensive - whilst the food was 'ok' it was not up to 25 euro standard!! We found a lovely cafe 20 mins away for the following two mornings.

Horrible stay. Room was not bad on one day. I had to call 3 times in a span of 1.5 hours and finally someone showed up at 830pm !

On another day no milk in the room, housekeeping sent tea bags instead while I was in the shower ! When I got off shower, I called reception to bring me milk sachets which I requested, he rudely requested me to come down to pick it up. Reception working after 8pm.

Overall worse stay !

Poorly handled fire alarm

The hotel was modern, clean, and spacious and in a good condition. Our stay started off well and my overall review would be positive were it not for the fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night and the subsequent response from the hotel staff. The alarm went off at around 01:00. We evacuated into sub-zero temperatures with our 4 year old daughter. She was thoroughly traumatized by the event. We were then told that it was a false alarm, nothing more. Afterwards, she didn't want to return to the room because she didn't feel safe. After much coaxing we got her back into bed and back to sleep around 03:00. The next morning, when confronted, the front desk staff offered nothing. No explanation, no apology, no offers of a late check out or even a cup of coffee. The front desk staff did not even make eye contact. Poorly handled indeed. While the hotel is nice, I will not stay here again because of the staff.

Dusche im Zimmer hatte schwarzen Schimmel an den unteren Ecken (sonst aber sehr schönes Bad!).
Personal könnte bei Frühstücksbuffet aufmerksamer sein was aufgefüllt werden muss. Ich musste drum bitten die Hafermilch, Schnittlauch (beim Rührei) und die Ananas aufzufüllen.
Auch hätte ich mir gewünscht kostenfreies Wasser auf dem Zimmer zu haben.

Leider hatten Teppich und Gardinen ein paar Flecken, aber daran sind ja immer die Gäste Schuld. Man kann ja nicht immer komplettsarnieren wenn mal ein Gast wieder über die Stränge schlug. Also war es verzeihlich. Das Hotel selbst war sehr sauber, alle sehr freundlich, Essen gut, Sauna richtig super. Lage fand ich auch sehr gut. Würde ich wieder buchen!

Dejligt Hotel tæt på Togstation, som desværre havde mange trapper og ingen elevator, eller rulletrappe.

Pæne værelser med alt hvad der skulle være, meget rent og gode senge.

Mine børnebørn (teenager) som sov sammen på samme værelse, havde fået en dobbeltdyne.
Jeg spurgte efter 2 enkeltdyner, som blev klaret på få minutter ( om aftenen). Meget service minded og venligt personale i receptionen.
Kan anbefales og fint til prisen.

The Executive room was spacious and clean with complimentary soda, juice and water in the fridge.
The bed was firm and perfect, but the TV was lacking international (i.e. non-German) stations.
The bathroom was modern and functional with nice soap and skin lotion products available, but there were no glasses to drink from - only coffee mugs from the complimentary Nespresso capsule coffee maker.
EV charging available at 15 euros (flat rate no matter how much charged) in the underground parking garage.
Breakfast buffet is versatile and tasty.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ruhig.
Ich habe sehr gut schlafen können.

Grundsätzlich war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Allerdings gibt es in allen Bereichen Abzüge. Die öffentlichen Herren-Toiletten waren nicht sauber, zudem fehlte stundenlang Seife im Seifenspender. Das Frühstück war ok, die warmen Speisen jedoch kalt und es lief permanent ein älterer Herr mit Lappen durch die Gegend und räumte vom Tisch ab, obwohl man noch daran gesessen hat. Er war zwar freundlich, ich finde es jedoch nicht sehr appetitlich wenn einem direkt hinterhergewischt wird obwohl man noch nicht fertig ist.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, fehlende Handtücher haben wir unmittelbar an der Rezeption bekommen.

Also ehrlich gesagt fanden wir das Hotel mit seiner Ausstattung, Preis-Leistung und Lage vollkommen gut!
Allerdings wird man beim Check In geduzt, ob man will oder nicht. Zimmerreinigung erst ab dem 3. Tag. Steht auf irgendwelchen Schildern, die man selber lesen muss. Natürlich alles nur wegen der Umwelt, nicht aber aus Kostengründen. In anderen Hotels bekommt man bei Check in einfach einen Wertgutschein, wenn man auf die Reinigung verzichtet. Aber hier soll nur das Hotel sparen, der Kunde nicht. Haben dringend frische Duschtücher gebraucht, da zu wenige auf dem Zimmer waren, bzw. nass, am Abend aber nur noch kleine an der Rezeption erhalten. Am Check Out Tag funktionierte 30 Minuten vor Check out die Zimmerkarte nichtmehr. Beim Check Out wurde nur kurz das System geprüft und es kam ein kurzes“ sie können dann ….“ (ich denke sie meinte gehen)… Am Service muss dringend gearbeitet werden!

Jeg bodde nylig på Holiday Inn/Berlin Tor, og hadde et svært hyggelig opphold. Hotellet ligger sentralt og har en veldig praktisk beliggenhet, med kort vei til både kollektivtransport, severdigheter og restauranter.

Rommet jeg fikk var stort, moderne og fremfor alt rent og innbydende. Det var godt utstyrt og svært komfortabelt – perfekt etter lange dager ute i byen. Frokosten var også et stort pluss, med et godt utvalg og hyggelig atmosfære i frokostsalen.

Hotellet har også treningsstudio, noe som alltid er et stort pluss for meg når jeg er på reise. Personalet var imøtekommende og profesjonelle, og alt fungerte knirkefritt fra innsjekk til utsjekk.

Hotel é ótimo, mas a região não tem quase nada perto (restaurantes, supermercados, etc). A estação também é longe, uns 15-20 minutos a pé. Quando cheguei, a pessoa não encontrou minha reserva e disse que não poderia me receber porque o hotel estava lotado. Mas fepois percebi que ela estava pesquisando pelo meu nome do meio (e não sobrenome). Ou seja, é necessário treinar melhor a equipe. Tirando isso, tudo certo. O quarto é muito aconchegante e com todas as comodidades necessárias e o café da manhã é bom.

Die Rezeption schien mit der Buchung total überfordert! Beim einchecken wurde unser Aufenthalt erst gefunden, als wir unsere Buchungsbestätigung vorgelegt haben! Beim aufschrecken wurde dann nochmal alles von unserer Seite abgefragt! Frühstück kann für 23,-€ pro Person dazu gebucht werden. Zum übernachten ist es ok. Nur leider ist ein Stern hier schon abgefallen.

De accommodatie ligt dichtbij station Berliner Tor. Van daaruit kan je met de S-Bahn en U-Bahn makkelijk overal heen.
In de omgeving van het hotel waren nu veel werkzaamheden. Maar wij hebben hier nauwelijks overlast van gehad.

En nat i hamborg

Fint hotel. Nemt at finde og relativ tæt på byen. Vi parkerede ved den srore vej, men tror der var p kælder. Værelset var fint, dog stod der i beskrivelsen, på hotels.com, at der var kaffe maskine, hvilket der ikke var, den ene sengelampe virkede heller ikke, og aircon, havde problemer med at køle værelset ned til natten.

Ein Zimmer war leider durch einen riesigen und undefinierbaren Fleck verunreinigt.
Während unseres Aufenthalts war es nicht möglich, diesen zu entfernen. Uns wurde zwar ein Zimmertausch angeboten. Da wir aber ein zweites, direkt benachbartes Zimmer für unsere Kinder gebucht hatten, war ein einzelner Zimmertausch keine Option.

Desweiteren gibt es in diesem Haus erst ab dem zweiten Tag einen Zimmerservice. D.h. auch die Handtücher werden nicht gewechselt, wenn man sie nach Anleitung des Hotels auf den Boden legt. Wenn man sie nicht wieder benutzen möchte, muss man sich welche an die Rezeption suchen gehen.
Nach Rückmeldung des Hotel dient dies ausschließlich dem Umweltschutz....und ich dachte schon es hätte gar wirtschaftliche Interessen des Hotel.

Für die Unannehmlichkeiten wurden mir ein Getränkegutschein für 4 Personen für die Hotelbar ausgestelt. Da es auch Differenzen bei den ausgewiesenen Parkgebühren gab, wuden mir hier 12 Euro erlassen, sodass ich \"nur\" 75 Euro für 3 Nachte parken bezahlen musste.

Insgesamt muss ich sagen, dass es ich mir anhand der guten Bewertung des Hotels mehr erwartet habe.
In dieser Preisklasse gibtves deutlich besser geführte Häuser.

Toller Check-In und Check-out. Sehr unkompliziert und sehr nettes Personal. Zimmer sehr sauber und alles vorhanden was benötigt wird. Wasser kann an der Rezeption gekauft werden, relativ teuer.
