Spacious and clean room, cot was provided. Very friendly staff! Great play areas for kids.
Sadly the restaurant, Das Kulinarium, was closed and their own buffet could be improved on. Overall we had a really nice stay!

I've stayed here several times and like its modernity, comfort, waterside location and easy access to Havencity and the city centre. My visit on this occasion, however, was marred by construction work being undertaken outside my room which from around 7.45am was quite noisy.

Small rooms, great location

Even though this hotel is a bit outside of the downtown area it is fairly quiet from outside noise. It's about a 7-minute walk from an EDEKA and an ALDI and it's right off one of the subway stations (S4, I believe). The staff was also friendly and the rooms were clean. Since this place is a bit more isolated, no restaurants are nearby. Also, we were in Hamburg during the weekend, so it was a bit noisy in our room with people (and kids) stomping around on the floor above us. I think on any other weekday the hotel would've been quieter, but that would be the only thing I'd complain about. Still a solid choice for a hotel

Phone in room didn’t work so had to go to reception to order room service (room service menu was placed in my room). I was told at reception that room service wasn’t available and I’d have to go to the buffet area instead. No restaurants around the hotel so no choice but to use the buffet.

Lovely hotel in quiet area down at the waterfront. Easy to get to on the Underground, the stop ( universitat) is right at the hotel entrance. Rooms are very spacious and exceptionally clean and quiet. Toilet and shower room are separate which can be useful. Bar / restaurant area very relaxing and staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the first floor and there is everything you could need and served till 11am. Loads of choice for kids as well. Very family friendly hotel with areas for kids, plates cups and cutlery at mealtimes too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Ahoi and welcome to the most amazing experience you can expect from a 4-stars hotel.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at by far.
Hamburg is one of the most beautiful and attractive cities to visit in Germany and Jufa Hotel gave us that one extra bit of happiness to our trip. A clean, comfortable and friendly all around atmosphere that almost wants you to stay indoor all day.
NB The breakfast is a must to complete your full Jufa Hotel experience.

Good hotel with adjacent metro link

New hotel in an area of Hafencity still being developed and so not offering many services or much atmosphere in the immediate surrounding area. Right beside a metro station, however, offering 10-15 minute link to the city centre. Built to a high standard with average size room and reasonably comfortable bed.

Like any normal business hotel. Above average.

Good location, just next to a local u train station and street parking also available. Only issue was finding a elevator to go to the breakfast area in busy morning hours. Even finding stairs to go to first floor was a challenge. I recommend management to make sure door to stairs is unlocked during morning hours and put some sign boards so that everyone is not dependent on elevators.

Nice, modern hotel in the Harbour City area

Nice new hotel in the 'Hafen City' (Harbour City) area of Hamburg. Very nice and large rooms, good bed, free wifi and modern vibe. There is a metro station on the U4 line directly outside the hotel which is very handy to get into the town centre. Town centre is about 20/25 minute walk or 5/10 minute tube. Water and Juice free of charge in room fridge. A lot of building going on in the area, though quiet at night. Hotel did offer meals, choice seemed limited - e.g. evening menu set 3 course dinner for 25 euros.

Although there is still some construction work being done around the Hafencity area of Hamburg, it didn’t bother or disturb our holiday. The staff are extremely pleasant and very helpful, the hotel is immaculate, and the room we had was comfortable. The mini fridge had free water and orange juice too! The only suggestion I would have for improvement would be if tea/coffee facilities were in the rooms, but this is easily purchased in the cafe beside reception, or from a lovely cafe we found nearby.

The hotel is very nice, clean, moderately friendly staff. Easy to get around.

A few criticisims, the right hand lefr screams out the floor level. Quite shovking the first time. You can hear on tje 6th floor perfectly when it says ground floor.

Secondly my biggest problem is that the hotel is surrounded by building works from the city which wasn't written anywhere before or after I booked, and the hotel didn't seem to care when I notified/politely complained that it was constant from 0730 on my first day of arrival luckily for myself if wasn't so bad the second 2 mornings.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel, because of the construction for another 18 months or so.

Also I am now aware that the hotel has only been open 6 months or so, and I also work in service, but the competanacy of most of the staff seems that they haven't had enough training. If it was one or two I would assume they were brand new and wouldn't have a problem at all.

Also a handful of the bar staff in the foyer bar are quite unfriendly/rude, they talk/shout to you across the bar, don't seem bothered about customer service at all, especially in the morning. Again I work in service so I know the importance of this and also understand it can be hard to be happy and smiley all the time especially when you have personal problems. But a bit of effort would be nice.

Otherwise hotel is clean, and has good transport links also not far to walk to the harbour, maritime museum and speicherstadt.

The hotel is still under construction. At 9 am, hammering and borings started in the rooms adjacent. Also all around the hotel, construction is going on. Check out time is already at 11 am. I asked for a check out at 11:30 or 12 and was told that this is not possible. The bathroom design is not functional. The sink as well as the entire bathroom has no space to put any items somewhere. If you try to call the reception, no one answers and you get connected to the hotel chain’s head office in Graz, Austria. They tell you that they cannot help you and you need to speak to the hotel’s reception. I got connected to Austria for about 5 times without ever reaching the reception. The hotel is located in a newly developed area. There is not much around, but the subway is adjacent and it takes only 2 stops to get to the Jungfernstieg. For a short business trip the hotel is fully ok - but not for a price of 300 USD!

Excellent family orientated hotel overlooking the Elbe river in a newly developing area. The city is easily walkable from the hotel but I took the train as the station entrance is outside the front door. Its only 3 stops to Hamburg central station but you only need to go 2 stops to Jungfurnsteig as that station is directly below where the canal boats go and is more central. The room was new, spacious and very clean. I didn't use the bar or breakfast areas but they are very nice and overlook the river. There are no shops near the hotel but walk 400m down the road and there is a nice little open air mall with a supermarket, cafes, shops etc and keep walking another 800m towards the very impressive Philharmonic building and there are several restaurants and cafes overlooking the river.

Die Zimmer sind Sauber. Jedoch nicht sonderlich kinderfreundlich. Hatten wir anders erwartet. Die Lüftungsanlage ist viel zu laut und muss abgeschaltet werden. Selbst dann ist das Geräusch nervend. Preise für Frühstück zu teuer.

Das Hotel ist von außen sowie von innen ist gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmern die zu Straßenseite bzw. Eisenbahnseite ist einfach UNMÖGLICH. Sehr hellhörig, ruhige erholsame Nacht kann man hier vergessen. Schallisolierung in solchen Zimmer wäre einfach ideal, nicht jeder kann es ignorieren und schlafen. Dafür sehr enttäuscht

Die Mitarbeitern teilte uns bei Check-In mit, dass das Frühstück inklusive sei. Trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage wurde immer wieder bestätigt, dass das Frühstück inkludiert ist stellte sich nach der ersten Nacht heraus, dass dies nicht der Fall war.

Das Abendessen und die Nutzung der Tiefgarage gebührenpflichtig sind wurde mitgeteilt, daher hatten wir uns auf die Aussage mit dem Frühstück auf deren Richtigkeit verlassen (wir waren selbst nicht mehr sicher ob wir mit oder ohne Frühstück gebucht hatten).

Auch über die Tatsache, dass das Gebäude renoviert wird, hätte man auf der Website informieren können.

Wir kommen daher nicht mehr wieder.

Schöne große saubere Zimmer. Direkt an der U-Bahn. Nettes Personal am Empfang, Service und Bar. Frühstücksbuffet ist auch sehr gut. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Ich war überwuegend mit allem zu frieden. Die Zimmer wsren stets sauber, dass Personal sehr freundlich. Nur das Personal müsste umsichtiger sein. Wir saßen Abends unten an der Bar. Nachdem unsere ersten Gläser leer waren, wurde uns keine Beachtung mehr geschenkt. Wir hatten nach einer gefüllten halben Stunde die Nase voll und haben bezahlt. Das läßt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Aber vielleicht will man keinen Umsatz machen.

Die Ankunft war perfekt, da das Hotel eine Tiefgarage hat.
Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken und bei allen Fragen. Da direkt am Hotel die U - Bahnstation ist, ist man auch ohne Pkw, mobil, perfekt. Das Zimmer war sauber und wohnlich, sowie gut ausgestattet. Mir ist es ein Rätsel, wie die Gäste eine weiße Wand so verschmutzen können. Das Personal vom Housekeeping macht ihren Job sehr gut. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, vielfälltig, einfach super. Einen minus Punkt muß ich leider an das Personal in der Bar vergeben. Am Nachmittag hat es mit dem Kuchen eine Verwechselung gegeben, kann vorkommen. Am Nebentisch hat ein Gast, nach einer Blumenvase gefragt,kam nicht. Am Abend war das erste Glas leer, leider hat sich niemand für unseren Tisch interessiert, hätten gerne noch etwas bestellt, sind dann gegangen???

Das Hotel an sich Klasse. Ganz hervorragend: Das Personal durchweg! Egal ob Rezeption oder Restaurant! Unser Zimmer war gut, Blick Richtung Elbe-Seitenarm und ruhig. Betten gut, allerdings musste ich erst in Eigenregie die Füße festdrehen. Einsturzgefahr! Wir hatten es gemeldet, Hausmeister war allerdings kurz vorher in den Feierabend gegangenen. Bin selber Handwerker, deshalb kein Problem. Das Hotel wird allerdings auch gerade renoviert. Vielleicht kommt so etwas dann nicht mehr vor. Die Zimmer- bzw Badreinigung ist verbesserungswürdig. Da ist noch Luft nach oben. Wir haben uns trotzdem wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen und können es auch empfehlen! Danke noch mal an das gesamte Personal!

Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal Gäste in diesem Hotel. Mittlerweile ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstücksauswahl ist super. Die Anbindung zur U-Bahn ebenfalls. Zukünftig würde ich das Hotel nicht mehr wählen. Die Temperatur im Zimmer ist einfach zu warm. Die Frischluftanlage produziert keine angenehme Temperatur. Dafür macht sie sehr viel Lärm.

Einmal und nie wieder

Schon der Empfang war sehr unfreundlich. Da die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption mit ihrem Handy beschäftigt war, ging ich zu dem Mitarbeiter, der am PC saß. Er sagte: Gehen Sie bitte zu meiner Kollegin. Sie schaute genervt zu ihrem Kollegen und fragte: warum? Er: ich bin beschäftigt. Also, ein genervtes Schließen des WhatsApp Account. Sie schaute mich an und sagte gar nichts, kein Guten Tag, herzlich Willkommen, hatten Sie eine gute Anreise? Eben die üblichen Höflichkeitsfloskeln, die man von anderen Hotels kennt. Sie sah, dass ich mit meiner sehr betagten Mutter gekommen war, was Sie nicht daran hinderte, uns das wirklich letzte Zimmer am Ende eines sehr langen Flurs zu geben.
Wenn man kein Zimmer zur Elbe bucht, hat man als Frischluftfan ein Problem. Im Minutentakt fahren Züge quietschend an den Fenstern vorbei. Unerträglich! Die Frage nach einem Zimmer zur anderen Seite wurde mit Ja beantwortet, aber nur mit Aufschlag. Die Geschäftsleitung würde kostenlose upgrades verbieten.
Am Abreisetag funktionierte nur ein Aufzug, absolutes Chaos, v.a. zur Frühstücks- und Check-out-Zeit. Das waren einige Stunden, in denen nichts am Aufzug passierte. Ein no Go für so ein großes Hotel.
Gut, es ist ein „Familien- und Kinderfreundliches“ Hotel, aber genauso rücksichtslos verhalten sich auch die Familien. Sie zählen, sonst niemand. Kinder dürfen machen und extrem laut sein, wie sie wollen. Es ist tatsächlich NUR ein Familienhotel und für andere Gäste definitiv nicht geeignet.

Schöne Zimmer! U-Bahn direkt vor der Tür - perfekt!! Super Frühstück. Leider kam das Personal nicht mit abräumen hinterher, so daas wir an beiden Tagen auf einen freien/sauberen Tisch warten mussten bzw. selbst abgeräumt haben. Durch viele Familien/Kinder ist es morgens beim Frühstück und abends im Foyer teilweise sehr laut.

Tyst hotell med bra isolerade fönster, bra med garage i direkt anslutning till hotellet. Tråkig reception just för att den helt enkelt var för stor och opersonlig. Vi hade missat att detta är ett barnhotell vilket märktes i receptionen där det fanns stora lekytor för barn vilket också märktes på ljudnivån. Personalen i receptionen var hjälpsam och trevlig och rummet var bra, skönt med AC. Frukosten var okej. Tyvärr hade vi regn när vi bodde här men hade det varit sol hade det säkert varit trevligt med vattenstråken utanför. Det tar ca 7-10 min att gå till ett större köpcentrum. Överlag ett bra hotell som funkade bra för vår övernattning på vår resa söderöver.
