It was a great little oasis atop a hill (a very steep hill) but a cheap taxi ride from town. The grounds were beautiful and serene. So many different varieties of plants beautifully landscaped. The pool wasn't too inviting. The lounge chairs were few and a couple of them were broken. They were setting up new lounge chairs on our last day there. Maybe we just caught them at a bar time.

The staff were very friendly but the restaurant/bar do not serve all day. Between end of breakfast and 4:00pm you can not get refreshments at the hotel. It didn't matter too much because we went on excursions but coming home at 3 and all you want is a drink by the pool. The menu is limited but it'll do for a quick breakfast.

Paula the concierge was very friendly and helpful in booking everything for us.

This is a great location, very peaceful. Nice to have a restaurant on site. They were very accommodating given that we had early morning tours. They fed us a tad earlier than they typically open. They were very helpful with everything. The location is uphill from town so we would walk down and take a $5 cab ride back up after dinner. The food at the restaurant was good. Lots of breakfast options.

Clean cabana with nice porch and big shower. Tucked In jungle. Town at bottom of steep hill. Next to Cahal pech ruins-can walk. Paula who runs it is a gem and helps arrange tours, taxis. Barton creek cave canoe, xunantunich, butterfly farm, iguana conservatory raptor center, Belize zoo. Dinners on site very good. Great breakfast menu but didn’t use- I tour on empty stomach! Bar at night. Market at bottom of hill has beer, liquor, water etc. great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool.

This lodge is perfectly located within walking distance of San Ignacio town a right next to Cahal Pech Mayan site. It is a very lush and green jungle themed lodge with different areas to sit and relax outdoors.
The rooms are luxurious and immaculately clean. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The pool is the perfect size for the lodge and seldom overly busy. Paula did everything she could to accommodate us and make our stay enjoyable.

The property is gorgeous! It was a joy to listen and watch all the birds. Kevin the gardener was a true highlight of our time there. Always willing to stop and talk with us about the birds, the proper way to say Xunantunich and just check in to see how our stay was going. We already miss Falling Leaves and definitely plan to return!

Room was upgraded upon arrival and very spacious. Shower clogged and they attended to it immediately. Restaurant on site was pretty good. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Didn’t use the pool because the chlorine smell was far too strong. Property was meticulously maintained.

The most friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Amazing breakfasts and drinks from the restaurant, clean comfortable room - refreshing pool - beautiful grounds and wildlife to be seen! What a wonderful base for exploring the area!

The location is perfect (walkable to downtown ~20-30 mins) steep walk back but manageable or take a taxi.
30 mins from the Guatemala border,
2mins from Cahal Pech
ATM caves with Maya Walk was an easy pick up and drop off.
Breakfast was easily pre-ordered (and packed to go if needed) for our early start days making life easier!

Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I recently stayed at Falling Leaves for four nights on our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful experience. Paula and the rest of the team were incredibly accommodating and friendly. At my request, they even decorated the room for Valentine’s Day as a surprise for my wife, which meant a lot to us.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite, a beautiful room with a jacuzzi on the veranda. The grounds are well kept and full of wildlife, which added to the charm of the property. The pool area is also very well maintained and a great place to relax and unwind.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to several restaurants and right next door to the Cahal Pech ruins. We ate at the on-site restaurant a couple of times and found the food to be delicious and reasonably priced.

We are so glad we chose Falling Leaves and look forward to returning the next time we are in Belize.

Falling Leaves is a beautiful resort! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The hammock on the patio looked over a koi pond and was close to the river. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed the delicious restaurant for several meals. Great service and very reasonably priced.
We would highly recommend this lovely oasis!

The cabana was cute, clean, and the location was great, next to cahal peche, with a wonderful view above town. The layout of the property in the mountain jungle was very pretty. The staff is absolutely wonderful, especially Paula, who will help you with absolutely everything and give you the best recommendations. Also, the food at the restaurant was great, and if you have a early morning tour, the restaurant will allow you to pre-order breakfast for your long day ahead.

RENT A CAR! This resort is on top of a very large hill and without our car we would’ve needed a taxi to get back up everytime. Would definitely come back. San Ignacio is a very vibrant town with lots to do. This resort was very accommodating to us during our stay. Very clean and well kept. The landscape was beautiful especially for a night walk. The staff was always at our service for anything we needed.

In real need of repairs.

The staff at both the lodge and restaurant are OUTSTANDING. The logde itself is in real need of repairs. Our first room was under the restaurant/bar, DO NOT ACCEPT this loud room. Music begins at 6:30am, the restaurant doesn't stop serving until 9pm. We were moved to a cabin with a much better noise level. Things are just falling apart, door lock broke, coffee pot broke, the shower head was horrible. It wasn't a terrible stay, if the San Ignacio hotel is available I would recommend that choice.

We loved our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. The staff of this place and their willingness to help was a key factor. When my bag was delayed and then I get the bag with wet mildew smelling clothes, the staff immediately did a laundry load for me and took care of it. This was after hours and within just two hours. I could not have been more thankful. They arranged tours, called cabs and even walked my bags to another hotel. Overall, quiet and clean property. It’s not updated but because it’s not heavily used like other places, it’s clean. I would use it again as a home base in the future.

They also ordered food for us from the restaurant which was closing. The feel was very authentic with trees and numerous separate spaces. Our luggage was did not arrive until our third day. Super Cute Property with Incredible Staff

I adored my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer. First, the staff are AMAZING. So warm, so helpful, so lovely. I am someone who always has a million questions and does silly things like not know how to lock my door-- they were there for all of it with a smiling face. 11/10 staff experience here.
Second, the property is so cute! All the nature around the accommodation is awesome. I was told you can sometimes see Toucans in the front tree! While I didn't witness them, if you go be on the lookout :)
Third, the location. It is *right* by one the Mayan ruin sites, which makes for a lovely morning adventure (before all the crowds rush in). I will say that this location is at the top of a giant hill.... so there is a trade off of having the peace and quiet/nature with the amenities of being directly in town. I ended up walking down the hill (into downtown) and then taking a taxi ($5 USD) back up one night, and then walked the other times.
I would absolutely stay here again. I was traveling as a solo female traveler and had not one issue. Highly recommend.

Falling Leaves Lodge is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Our cabana was clean and spacious with a large bathroom and nice covered patio. The pool area was lovely and at times we had it all to ourselves. It felt like we were in the middle of the jungle but town was just a 10 minute walk away and the ruins were even closer. We were also able to get picked up for our cave tubing excursion right at the hotel.
We had breakfast at the restaurant all three days of our stay and it was excellent with great service.
If I return to San Ignacio, (which I hope I do!) I would definitely stay here again.

Some of the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have experienced. Paula greeted me at my late arrival and made sure I had everything I needed both at check in and throughout my stay, including some great excursions. The ever present bar and restaurant crew Elias and Harim were always there with recommendations and friendly conversation. Be it I had to leave early for a tour or needed advice on bars to visit while in town. Rangel, Kevin, Maria and Helen were busy keeping the room clean and the property well kept. If you visit be sure to go see the turtles in the wishing well and tell them hi.

Restful retreat in San Ignacio

A comfortable room, beautiful grounds and swimming pool, and helpful staff made our stay a relaxing escape. The lodge is conveniently located just on the edge of San Ignacio and is centrally located for tours of ruins and enjoyment of the natural beauty of the area. Their restaurant is a convenient alternative to going into town for meals. Highly recommended if you plan to stay in San Ignacio.

Falling Leaves was wonderful. The staff was amazingly nice and very helpful. The hotel itself is a little dated, but it's well kept and the pool area is brand new and really a cool spot to hang out.

The location was close to everything and an easy starting point for tours and recreation.

The food at the restaurant was good and was fairly priced.

The staff went above and beyond when we needed help with any thing. We lost our camera in a river while cave tubing, and the front desk went above and beyond to retrieve it from the tour company and make sure that we got it back. It was not expected, and a refreshing surprise. Food was really good.

We had a wonderful stay here and I would definitely stay again. The staff was all extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant is very good, and if you have an early morning planned for tours you can pre-order your breakfast the night before. We booked the ATM and Tikal tours directly through the hotel and felt very safe and well informed for each tour. Please note if you plan on walking into town lots this hotel is at the very top of a very big hill, it is still close to all of the San Ignacio activities, but just be prepared for a big walk back to the hotel.

Great property and truly amazing people! In addition to providing super friendly and far above the usual service of very good hotels, they went far beyond in helping us resolve an issue with our rental car. While we waited we sat around the new pool and learned from employees about the birds and howler monkees we could hear. These people are awesome and that's why we always try to pay a visit each year when we come to Belize.

Absolutely loved the lodge. Located close to the town of San ignacio, it gives you a feel of being in the jungle, where you hear and see all kinds of birds, monkeys and other wild life. Friendly staff, hot tub and delicious inexpensive restaurant on site were really appreciated.

We stayed in the family house and it was very clean with tons of room. The staff was extremely helpful. Pool was very nice and refreshing. The property is at the top of the steep hill so if you do not have a car and are not very active, you might find it difficult to walk back up the hill, but it’s easy to get a taxi, It very walkable into the main part of San Ignacio if you are of average fitness. Highly recommend this place for families and larger groups.

Some of my group stayed in the family house, it was absolutely great. i recommend it to large families and large groups of friends. Clean, nice, comfortable, full kitchen, 3 full bathrooms, dinning room, large living room, plenty of seating, beautiful surroundings. We loved it. The grounds are gorgeous, the swimming pool was so pretty and the surroundings was peaceful. The lady at the front desk was very sweet, helpful and attentive. She set up our excursions, made sure we had everything we needed, they do your laundry if needed. The food was great at the restaurant on the property, they have a full bar. The rest of the staff was excellent. very helpful nice people. They take very good care of the property. My other friends had individual rooms, they loved their places as well. You can see all over San Ignacio because your on top of the hill, i was impressed with this place. i highly recommend staying here. I have nothing bad to say.

We loved this hotel. Location was easy to access, just set back off the main road. Their restaurant and bar was very good, cocktails were well made! Pool was brand new, and clean. Great sunset views from restaurant. Thanks!

San Ignacio was our first stop in Belize and the hospitality was incredible in Cayo and at the resort. The room was nice, clean and cozy. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. The grounds are lush with a tropical feel. Pool has been renovated as well. We ate across the street at Cahal Pech resort and I must recommend the eggplant burger!! It’s so easy to walk to Cahal Pech Ruins next door or down the hill into town. You might want to catch a ride/taxi back up to the resort because it is extremely steep ($5-6 USD). Paula and the other hotel staff are amazing and like family! Paula helped arrange our transport from the airport and then onto San Pedro. We accidentally left a bag in the car with our taxi driver “Mates” and he worked with Paula to have it sent to San Pedro where we were staying for the next part of our trip. They are amazing!!

Only stayed here for one night before doing the ATM tour the next day, but room was clean and comfortable, and staff was very accommodating. They even let us order a very early breakfast so we could eat before going on our cave tour. Location is not super close to downtown area, but right next door to Mayan Ruins, which is fantastic. Great experience, highly recommend.

it is next to Cahal Pech site. Location is far from the town, especially the return trip with uphill walking. The hotel environment is serene, nice pool. Very helpful front desk staff. The restaurant service is good, food is so so, especially if you are looking for vegetarian options.

I loved staying at Falling Leaves! Paula was so kind and made sure we had a comfortable stay. She was always in contact with the drivers who took us to our tours, and she made great suggestions for our trip. The property itself was so inviting and peaceful, I felt like we had our own oasis! The room was just what we were looking for - tons of space with a roomy bathroom and shower with great temperature control and water pressure. Their restaurant and the staff were very accommodating, and they made our stay very enjoyable. The Cahal Pech ruins are a two-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient and fun to go to. I highly recommend this for your stay in San Ignacio!
