The outdoor pools were very nice! Also loved how close it was to beach, restaurants & Whaler village. I was disappointment housekeeping would come at 4:30 pm or later when we’re back to shower to go to dinner! Also feel we were nickeled & dime to rent beach chairs, umbrella etc. Hotel doesn’t offer any senior discount on any rentals. :-(

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was truly incredible. So many amazing restaurants within a walkable distance, which we preferred since we didn’t have a car, and Whalers Village has a ton of great stores as well. Would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone and is extremely family friendly.

First timer to Maui and couldn’t have been happier. Great resort set-up with clean, updated vibe. Close proximity to Whalers Villlage and Kaanapali golf course was a bonus. Only downside was having to rent certain items from the activities desk (e.g Snorkel gear, Chairs on sand, etc). Overall, would visit again.

Everything seemed to be fine with the exception that when I booked months ago , the ocean view room that was requested apparently was not noted , very unfortunate .
Also , the staff should pay a little more attention to things like room coffee makers , they really should be better maintained , the time that I used it , the coffee maker was not as clean as it should be including particles that were in the maker .
With that being said , the hotel was fine . If any recommendation , the rooms should be equal to the resort in terms of standards .

My first time in Hawaii. Stayed here for the medical conference. The pools and beach access was nice. They give $50 daily credit to use on selective places. Overall, enjoyed the stay. Our room was comfortable. Staff was sociable and friendly. Wouldn’t mind staying here again.

We loved the Westin. We can't wait to go back. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The restaurants on the property were excellent. I would definitely suggest going to the luau and fire show at the Westin. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation.

We paid for an Oceanview, our reservation said nothing about a partial ocean view. The pictures on-line showed beautiful views from your private patio, what we got was a view of parking lot and back of a restaurant, with a slight ocean view. The room had deferred maintenance and the patio couldn’t be used to its fullest because the unit above had a water leak that went down to our patio. I’ve stayed all around the world, this was in now way a $1000 a night room! Not to mention we were billed for two massages we never received. The spa messed up our reservation times, they actually sent our reservation confirmation 2 days after our appointment. When I tried disputing with the Spa manager she refused to remove the charges.

The resort was amazing. It’s right on the beach. The public areas and restrooms were clean all the time. The lobby really adds an extra pinch of paradise feel. I love that there is an adults only pool area. The children’s side was quite nice as well. Location was prime; just a couple min walk to whalers village for even more restaurants and shopping. The front desk and concierge desk were absolutely amazing.

It was a beautiful place. We had an amazing time in Hawaii. There were some things that I wish were different, the restaurants were very overpriced, no trash bags in room, price for luau was doubled in price. I would recommend booking ahead of time if on sale because we waited and it doubled so we missed out on that experience. Otherwise it was very beautiful and cant wait to come back. I wish we were told about the $300/day security deposit even though you get it back. Just should have been told ahead of time. Also, plan to pay for daily parking. I would recommend The Westin but some of the hotels near by did look pretty nice too!

Great stay. We arrived about 5 hours too early for check-in, so they took in our bags to hold for us while they got a room ready for us. We stayed in the adults only area inside a sundeck room. It was a great choice for us as we planned on mostly staying at the resort to relax. Within about 20 minutes our room was ready. We were not expecting to get it so fast, but it was nice they let us. Especially, because there were no extra charges for that.
The sundeck was front and center to the adult pool. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I have a bad back, so this was nice. The landscaping was incredible. We will more likely stay here again and try out the new tower to have access to the private lounge area. Thank you for the great stay 🙏

We loved our 7 night stay at the Westin Ka’anapali—the staff are exceptional and the rooms and grounds are just magical! 5 stars all the way and can’t wait to return. Great snorkeling is just a 5 minute walk on the boardwalk. Equipment can be rented from the hotel or the local suppliers if you need prescription goggles.
There are several pools in the property for families and adults only which was nice because we didn’t bring kids but were totally unbolt the children that were there.
The hotel has nice restaurants on the property which is a little expensive but very good. Just make sure to have reservations or you will be waiting.

They give you a wristband that you wear to get in room which is helpful but they should be able to scan those for food and drinks. Also I was in a walk out room which gave us easy access to the adult pool which was nice however you cannot lock that sliding glass door and get back in unless you go all the way thru the building again, which doesn’t make any sense since we have technology to open the front door of the room. Also on the 2nd floor the ice machine sign needs to be fixed because all it says CE! Lastly we are use to going to Sandals resorts where they are all inclusive which offer a higher level of service and are less costly. However we had a relaxing 5 day vacation with beautiful weather!

Fabulous hotel well situated on Kaanapali Beach close to shopping with excellant snorkeling at Black Rock and even right in front of the hotel. Not a cheap stay. 50$ a day for parking and 50$ a day resort amenity charge are both over the top. Restaurants on the property are ok. Get an ocean view room. It is worth the extra money. Check in was painfully slow but once we got everything sorted out our family had a great time. Golf course next to the resort is excellent.

The concierge was especially helpful, they provided us with a map and great recommendations for exploring the area since all the excursions were fully booked. This resort was great! Great pools, great food, great entertainment, close to the outdoor mall for shopping and sweet treats, beach was amazing (a little windy but clean and close to the resort). Location of this property was really good. Only negative i would say was the original room we booked was in the main part the hotel (room was a little older and smaller which made it tighter for our family but the A/C was great). The 2nd room we moved to was on the north tower and it came with the “lounge”. The lounge was worth every penny of the upgrade. Let me repeat “worth every penny”. The lounge provided a complementary breakfast and dinner every day with a different menu each day. It also had snacks and beverage area for complementary mid day snacks/drinks. Our kids loved it so much. There was a bar in the lounge with perfect views to watch the sunset each day. Would definitely go back to this resort.

Our room was clean, the outdoor pools were good, and the staff was nice and helpful.
This resort used to have a shuttle that would take guests to specific stops in town as part of the resort fee, like the Cannery, but when we were there in March 2026, we learned they no longer run that shuttle. If I had to guess, it is likely because some of those shuttle stops no longer exist sadly due to the 2023 Lahaina fire.
Small things we noticed: the elevator lights weren't working for several days of our trip, but the staff hung a lantern temporarily and the lighting was fixed eventually. A few tiles were loose around the pool area.
Not the resort's fault, but it seemed that several activities that are usually offered as part of the resort fee were canceled while we were there due to the rain storms that happened during our trip. Guests should keep in mind that a lot of activities are very much dependent on good weather and be ready to find alternative plans in case of rain.

Difficult to get a pool chair even though there is a sign that says unoccupied pool chairs will be forfeited. We saw many chairs with pool towels to which no one returned to but no staff came around to remove the towels.
