The resort was beautiful, and our room was spotless with an incredibly comfortable bed. The concierge was especially helpful, they provided us with a map and great recommendations for exploring the area since all the excursions were fully booked. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely return in the future.

An established beautiful property on legendary Kaanapali beach. Grounds a very well maintained and lush. Excellent food and drinks although a little pricey but that is expected. Park fees seemed high at $50 per day for self parking. Other than that my family and I loved our stay and would come back again.

Clean room but very small and cramped for 4 people (adults,2 teens). There was no space for our luggage to sit out in the room to access it so we were constantly walking over luggage on the floor. Not enough drawer space for 4 people to unpack in order to put luggage in the closet as the room was quite small.
Tiny fridge, only good for a few small items and was not very cold.
A/C worked very well. Lanai/balcony was nice to have and it was spacious with two chairs and a table, gave us room to spread out.
Adult only hot tub is nice but they should allow kids 12 and up accompanied by an adult. So many teens wanted to hang with their parents at the hot tub on the cooler days but weren’t allowed.

Great property. The Hokupa’a tower stay was luxurious, closest to an all inclusive you could get in Hawaii. Everything was clean and amazing and access to Lanai was the highlight of the stay. Proximity to whaler’s village, good shopping and a great beach. Overall, highly recommend

A great place to stay if you want easy, direct access to the beach right from your room. There’s plenty to do, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Any issues are handled quickly and efficiently. The nearby dining options are excellent, and we even received some nice discounts during our stay. Looking forward to coming back!

This resort was great! Great pools, great food, great entertainment, close to the outdoor mall for shopping and sweet treats, beach was amazing (a little windy but clean and close to the resort). Location of this property was really good. Only negative i would say was the original room we booked was in the main part the hotel (room was a little older and smaller which made it tighter for our family but the A/C was great). The 2nd room we moved to was on the north tower and it came with the “lounge”. The lounge was worth every penny of the upgrade. Let me repeat “worth every penny”. The lounge provided a complementary breakfast and dinner every day with a different menu each day. It also had snacks and beverage area for complementary mid day snacks/drinks. Our kids loved it so much. There was a bar in the lounge with perfect views to watch the sunset each day. Would definitely go back to this resort.

We enjoyed our stay but the big negative is that there is no hot tub for kids. So our kids got cold sometimes when swimming but there was no where for them to warm up. This don’t feel family friendly. But the pools were gorgeous and the it was all very beautiful and welcoming outside of that one issue.

My husband and I had a great experience overall. This was our second time staying at this specific resort (first time was in 2022).
Our room was clean, the outdoor pools were good, and the staff was nice and helpful.
This resort used to have a shuttle that would take guests to specific stops in town as part of the resort fee, like the Cannery, but when we were there in March 2026, we learned they no longer run that shuttle. If I had to guess, it is likely because some of those shuttle stops no longer exist sadly due to the 2023 Lahaina fire.
Small things we noticed: the elevator lights weren't working for several days of our trip, but the staff hung a lantern temporarily and the lighting was fixed eventually. A few tiles were loose around the pool area.
Not the resort's fault, but it seemed that several activities that are usually offered as part of the resort fee were canceled while we were there due to the rain storms that happened during our trip. Guests should keep in mind that a lot of activities are very much dependent on good weather and be ready to find alternative plans in case of rain.

The property was absolutely stunning. We brought our family of four, and our 12‑year‑old especially loved having the freedom to roam and explore. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were definitely a lot of people around, but it never felt overwhelming since we spent most of our time at the beach. Overall, a beautiful place for a relaxing family getaway.

Westin is a three star hotel with four star prices. I stayed on the top floor. The ceiling leaked on the hallway carpet and stunk the entire stay. There is an elevator problem on the complex
The parking lot elevators did not work for five days. Two elevators in the building did not have lights in them for three days
They had electric lanterns hanging from the hand rails to illuminate the elevators
The room was dated. The hallway walls were dirty. We had a fire alarm during our stay. I had to walk down eleven flights of stairs. I asked a desk manager why it went off. She told me it was because of the atmosphere. Bottom line with all these inconveniences It is at best a three star hotel.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Everything was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed our experience. The staff was great overall, especially at the VIP lobby — we loved that concept. Having access to a better view and a larger room made our stay even more special.

The food was also outstanding. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we don’t want to forget to mention the amazing snacks available throughout the day.

The only aspect we would like to mention as an area for improvement is the pool service team, particularly those in charge of towels and umbrellas. Unfortunately, our experience with them — especially with Max — was not pleasant. The attitude often came across as arrogant and unhelpful, and it seemed like every request was treated as an inconvenience.

We were traveling with a teenager who required some additional assistance due to using crutches, and sadly, the team did not show the level of care, kindness, or accessibility that we expected in those circumstances.

We hope this feedback helps improve the overall guest experience, as everything else during our stay was truly exceptional.

Difficult to get a pool chair even though there is a sign that says unoccupied pool chairs will be forfeited. We saw many chairs with pool towels to which no one returned to but no staff came around to remove the towels.

The valet parking guys were awesome as was our house keeper. Amenities were lacking. Several days were hard to find food. Although we were in a really bad storm. I understand the staff was overwhelmed also. Very disappointing about the weather for almost our whole trip. And it was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime. 😭😩

the property itself was beautiful, the pool wonderful. we had multiple issues, including a malfunctioning fire alarm, no lights in the elevator, small shower which did not drain well, inadequate grab bars in shower, no microwave in the room, coffee maker in a drawer at the perfect height for hitting your shin. Worst was the apathy management had. We had a wonderful housekeeper named Maryanne who was cheerful and efficient but upper management would not call us back or communicate with us. It was very stressful. We would never go back there.

We got there on march the 12th to celebrate our anniversary and because of the reign and the storm, we were not able to use the swimming pool the hot tub, everything was closed.The only thing we had access to was the hotel room and some of the stores or restaurants that were open. It was not a good experience, and even though none of these amenities were open, we still got charged.The daily fee to use those resort benefits

We booked this place when our flight was cancelled and there was no place closer to the airport available or accessible due to flooding. I wish we had more time to enjoy it. The staff was nice enough to wave the resort and parking fees and gave us some credit for breakfast under the circumstances. It was an amazing place with multiple pools and had live flamingos of all things. Definitely plan to stay here next time we are in Maui.

We had an incredible stay at the Westin! We upgraded to the Hokupa'a tower and it was so worth it. The included breakfast bites, snacks and dinner bites were great portions with a wide variety of options - including healthy options and gluten-free. The children's activities and fitness activities were also a huge bonus! We had a great view of the ocean, and loved being so close to walk to the beach. Snorkeling nearby, and walking to restaurants, whale watch tours made it the perfect location! Pool and water slides were perfect for our family - and they also included reef sunscreen stations throughout the pool area. We can't wait to go back!

Only one issue. Avoid the rooms on Northside that overlook Whalers Village. Very loud with 5am garbage trucks, 6am delivery trucks, and you can literally here the restaurants scoping ice from the 8th floor. The rest of complex was great, nice pools (including adult only area), and the staff was wonderful.

Place was nice and clean. However the food wasn’t that great. Also went to the concierge and they gave me some papers with things to do. Didn’t go through anything about what was around the hotel or best places to watch the whales.. I wouldn’t consider giving someone papers with information on it concierge service. The spa refused to give me a message based on a medical condition I have. I have been at other hotels and have been provided a message with my condition. I have been told by my doctors that messages are the best to get. Very disappointed.

The room was very clean, and we enjoyed the beach and pool access. My family particularly enjoyed the luau.
The front desk was understaffed, not particularly friendly, and very inefficient. There were frequently long lines and very long wait times at the front desk. Staff everywhere else were very kind and helpful.
There are not enough elevators for the number of rooms on the property. 10-minute lines to try to run up to your room when you forgot something take you out of relaxed vacation mode.
The restaurants on and around the property fill up early and quickly, so be sure to make your reservations early and more than 24 hours in advance if possible.
The room was nice, and if you can get to the amenities before everyone else, they are lovely.

We have stayed many times here! This trip we stayed in a premium Hokupa'a room with an extended Lanai for the first time! We loved it. The breakfast, snacks and small bites offered at the Lanai were more than we expected and our two boys loved the Lanai. I would also make of note, that the Westin was amazing and accommodating during the power shut off due to the storm.

The staff was not what we have experienced at other hotels on the island. We did not receive our towel cards and when we asked for towels, my husband was met with major attitude. The attendant kept quizzing him on our room number and telling him “try again” when finally he realized we were right all along. Weather wasn’t great, but totally swimmable and all slides were shut down which was our only reason for spending the money on the resort. Also, only hot tubs are 18+. That being said, if you’re over 18, the upper pool deck is awesome. Location is great, it has a nice arcade.

5 star for the location, luau, and staff. We came here for my husband’s birthday. The luau in the hotel was amazing!!! Thank you for singing for my husband’s birthday :) The location is close to the beach, to the mall, and to restuarants. The only thing I didn’t like was the beds. The bed was SO SOFT that we were getting lower back pain in the morning, otherwise I highly recommend this hotel .

The room was not as advertised. It was a lot smaller. My husband got sick from eating the food. They did let us check out later. I thought they should’ve at least took off. The parking fee did something also they dropped my bag outside with my bottle of perfume in it and busted it and they didn’t even say I’m sorry

Everyone was so welcoming, the grounds were insanely clean- as was Maui as a whole. Having onsite Starbucks and restaurants/shops was so nice when we didn’t want to leave the resort. There was walking distance to a mall on the sidewalk path of the beach side which was obviously a tourist favorite. Restaurants served really good meals too! And the strawberry daiquiris were amazing
