Loved the hotel, the staff are very hard working, professional and friendly. We had a family room and it was huge with a double balcony, big bathroom with double basins (why does the shower not attach to the wall?? Had to shower sitting down in the bath). I would advise you take earplugs though, as we were not familiar with the town and it is awake all night, noisy cars, bikes and revellers will disturb you if you live somewhere quiet like us. We didn’t use the rooftop pool as we used the sun beds out front, the bar serving drinks and snacks was very convenient. The breakfast is very basic, they charge extra if you want other items such as freshly squeezed OJ or your egg fried instead of scrambled. The croissants were inexplicably tiny but very delicious. Beach towels are provided. We even managed a walk to the water park which the kids loved, about 20 minutes on foot.

The location is great, the hotel stands out of all hotel range on the first beach line. It’s in the center of everything.However with years it looks like the hotel doesn’t have the “owner” it becomes neglected in terms of cleanliness and keeping the property in shape. The bedsheets are nice, but they are not tucked in properly or are the wrong size, keep sliding off. There is a deficit of beach towels, it is either water shortage problem or the laundry management. Breakfast remains the same over the years, but it would be nice to have a choice of eggs (not just scrambled, but hard-boiled for instance). It would be great to replenish the toiletries every other day (or introduce bigger bottles).

Great location near the beach and shops. Good spa and breakfasts. The thing that can be improved - sound from the other rooms - I heard my neighbours conversations and even coughing. Overall it was nice!

After a long journey, it was so nice to be greeted with a welcoming staff. Jana, Hussane and team were so helpful, cheerful, and anxious to help us celebrate our anniversary. We book a suite and was the perfect setting for us overlooking the sea. The team was always available for any want.
The dining staff manager Edwardo went over the top to make us feel welcomed and offering any amenities. The wait staff was very professional and helpful. Bar services were fantastic. Miranda was pleasant and always available for whatever we might need. As well as Erik, Niko, and Fatima. Maid service was phenomenal.
We had full board, but I would recommend half board, since there are so many walkable shops, and restaurants.

The property itself was nice and the front desk staff were very helpful and spoke English well. It's located two blocks from great shopping and restaurants, of course, it's beachfront so that's convenient. The only problem I ran into is there is no onsite parking. They kindly walked me a block and a half away to show me a small underground parking area where they have 3 designated spots for which they charge $50 for. The parking spots were very narrow but it was not too hard getting my car into a spot because the spot next it was empty. Getting my car out was a little difficult and took a lot of patience but I was able to out. When I came back later that night, I discovered someone had taken my spot and there were no others left. Getting my car turned around to get out of the garage was at times a bit terrifying bc I came within inches of bumping other vehicles just to get it turned around. Once I got out, I found a large public parking lot that was a lot cheaper and easier to navigate. It was a tad further away but not too bad. There was no lighting in the underground garage where the hotel spots were, but the public lot and all of the pathways and streets to get back to the hotel were all very well lit and felt safe. Highly recommend choosing the public lot vs the hotel parking garage. Other than that, my experience was great.

My son and I enjoyed every minute of our time in Costa Brava. This was the perfect centrally located hotel to explore the area. Tons of restaurants and shopping walking distance. And of course the beach and boardwalk right out the front door. The roof pool deck was extremely pleasant to sit and read and take a dip in the pool. The bathroom and room were very generous for a European hotel. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with tons of options to keep a teenager happy. Great experience!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Cosmopoita. The suites were very nice -- spacious with a relatively updated modern clean furnishing, and with a great view of the beach. The bathroom was also spacious with strong water pressure. The hotel was perfectly located in front of the beach, near restaurants, bar and shopping. The negatives: no parking available near the hotel (just a drop off but there is electric charging stations), the room rugs were stained (one more than the other), there was no real gym, just a couple cardio machines (tread mill, elliptical I think, and one more that I can't recall). It was very nice that there were some beach chairs and umbrellas in front of the hotel, but you had to get there early and had to pay for them. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would say it was a solid 4* hotel that's worth a stay. We went as a family, had a great time and would go back again!

Just spent 4 nights here. Very friendly staff. Free use of the Spa and Sauna. Excellent Breakfast. Very comfy Beds and Air conditioned spacious rooms. Only down side was there’s limited Parking and the nearest Carpark is a 10 minute walk and €20 day. Plus the Hotels own Beach Beds are €7 an hour. Apart from these 2 little niggles all good.

Stayed here for 2-nights at the end of our spain trip. Love that it was right on the beach. Parking is not next to the hotel...you have to drive down to the main street and dodge pedestrians to get into the underground parking garage and its VERY tight. Probably easier to drop luggage and go use the above ground public parking thats a bit of a longer walk. The room had a view of the ocean and a lovely balcony. I especially liked that there was an electronic metal grate that dropped down and blocked out all of the light. The only downside was that the music and noise from outside was audible even with the balcony closed and the music went until well after midnight. Having an hour of spa included was nice!

We really enjoyed our stay- hotel location and staff were excellent and my comments below didn’t spoil the experience but I thought I’d mention them.
We stayed early October and I think the hotel showed signs of wear and tear from the holiday season. It didn’t really detract from our enjoyment but there were for instance lots of stains on the corridor and room carpets, the dining chairs were well used so you would sink into them- not easy to eat from a low position. Shower cubicle had mildew and room furniture showed signs of damage, chipped tables, cupboard doors and stains on chairs etc.
I would have liked there to be power to sockets once I left the room. I appreciate the eco friendly aspect to conserve energy but I had numerous devices which needed charging - phone, tablet, garmin and watch - but could only charge whilst I was in there and I only had two chargers.

Great location, staff and the whole experience. Food is delicious. Secure parking is block away and easily accessible. Only a couple recommendations for improvements, one is to limit ocean front bar lounge music to 12am instead of 1am. You can hear the beat in the ocean front suite we stayed. Can be pretty annoying to some sensitive guests. Second, either use some special chemical to remove make up and oil stains from bathroom countertop or replace it with something that doesn’t absorb it so easily. Existing one is made out of cheap white formica. Other than that everything else was excellent.

Almost everything about this hotel was wonderful.

However, we booked a seafront room with balcony so that we could hear the waves especially when falling asleep. Instead, despite the nice weather, we were unable to leave the windows open because they played loud techno music nonstop from 7 am until 1 am. It was unrelenting. Dinner and relaxing around the bar were all marred by this music.

Super good food, nice location, excellent staff. Would NEVER stay there again.

Initially, it seemed good, but our stay was disappointing. The restaurant and other services are poor. The pictures in Hotels.com are not matching the reality. For instance, the pool area and most importantly, the reception are different. In fact, the reception area is scary, especially the sculptures, and inappropriate for families (pictures). The shower in the room wasn't convenient and not working properly. ... And finally, a hotel representative opened our room door with a masterkey at 4 am, while my family was sleeping, and entered the room to fix something in the bathroom. No kidding: I'm serious.

Great base location for a cycling vacation

We enjoyed staying there as are base for a cycling vacation. The buffet breakfast was great, of course, since we would be burning several thousand calories each day. Drinks by the beach were nice. We had a meal there one night. It was fine. Nearby restaurants are good too. The elevator was too small for our tandem bicycle but we just carried it up the stairwell.

Hotel was very good, nice and fresh with good breakfast. We would stay there again, but had one big complaint about the housekeeping, the empty soap/shampoo bottles in our room was not replaced, I complained about this and got a few replacements that evening, the following day same story!!! Is it hotel policy to only replace these items when new guest come to the room? we stayed for 6 nights.

Worst hotel experience ever.

This hotel was beautiful but I would discourage anyone from staying here unless you are deaf. The Bar downstair start playing disgusting techno music at blaring intensity from 4pm until closing at 1:15 am. We had requested quiet room but were never notified that no attempt would be made to accomodate. No manager was available to assist and we were penalized 2 nights stay because we checked out early.

Le personnel qui parle Français pour la plupart a été au top, très accueillant avec le sourire et bonnes explications. Ils nous ont annoncé à notre arrivée que nous étions surclassés ce qui était appréciable et gentil de leur part même si nous aurions préféré une chambre avec vue mer le geste est quand même là.
Par contre concernant la chambre la climatisation ne fonctionne pas et il y a un gros bruit de ventilation permanent qui est assez désagréable et peut empêcher de dormir. La baignoire dispose d une poire de douche trop courte qui ne permet pas de se doucher debout ni de se doucher assis si on veut se mettre dans le bon sens de la baignoire par rapport à l appui tête ce qui est gênant. Les lavabos ont des problèmes d évacuations.
Le spa est appréciable mais il serait souhaitable que les clients respectent le silence dans ce lieu paisible, certaines et nombreuses personnes sont incivilisées et téléphonent des piscines et s interpellent d'un bout à l autre du spa.
Concernant le restaurant nous avons appris à notre arrivée seulement qu il était fermé alors que j avais posé la question à plusieurs reprises en amont de notre séjour et n ai eu aucune réponse ni de hôtels.com ni de l hôtelier ce qui complique le séjour quand on pense pouvoir dîner à l hôtel.
Heureusement pour nous l hôtel est bien situé et on a pu trouver dans les alentours facilement.
