Relaxing adults only getaway

A wonderful, relaxing stay at a spotless, newly renovated hotel. Room had modern decor and a large balcony with sea views. Comfortable and huge bed. A beautiful pool area with plenty of chairs and great views of the sea from all seats. Easy access to the amazing Cami de Ronda coastal pathway. Front desk staff knowledgeable and helpful. Restaurant and pool service could be more attentive, but all staff are lovely. A car is needed to visit the many quaint neighbouring towns along the coast because there isn’t much in the immediate vicinity that you can walk to, other than the main beach strip which is very commercial.

Beautiful, immaculate, plush rooms. The hotel is right on the beach and there is easy access to Cami de Ronda. The food at the hotel restaurant and cafe is seasonal and delicious. The spa is wonderful too. Highly recommend this hotel for a quiet getaway in Costa Brava.

Upon checking in, told we needed printed vouchers from Expedia, they couldn’t find our reservation. After a long frustrating delay, we were given out room, which we had to change because it smelled like pet urine. Then at the restaurant there, my girlfriend pulled something out of her mouth, which turned out to be a thick fingernail!! My own dinner made me sick and I spent the night vomiting.
Will obviously never return, very upsetting experience.

This was probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at in Europe. The location, the facility, the rooms, the breakfast, the beach…. Absolutely everything was so amazing! We loved it so much. Our room was incredible. The spa is amazing. I can’t say one bad thing about it, only that you should definitely come here !

As some other reviews have mentioned, this hotel is not a five star property by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve stayed in several 5 star hotels and you would immediately notice the difference in attention to detail, politeness of the staff and would never make you repeat yourself about problems which are ruining your stay.
The staff was notified multiple times of our room having a bathroom door which would not stay shut. Nobody fixed it. We asked to change rooms but they only cared to upsell. The room was noisy with annoying sounds from the kitchen during breakfast hours. Not relaxing at all to sit on the balcony hearing dishes clanking.
Staff was only interested in us at check in and check out when it was time to collect payment.
Spa was very nice. Food at breakfast was never changed. No oatmeal!? How can you not offer oatmeal.
Overall they invested a lot into updating the rooms to better suit modern times but the staff remains less than pleasant.
3 star hotel at most with potential for 3.5 but not 5 stars like a Belmond, Four Seasons or MO clearly are.
Really was hoping for better from this beautiful location but we made the best of our 4 night stay.

This is NOT under any circumstances a 5 star property. If you have every stayed at the Four Seasons or Auberge Collection, this resort is nothing like it. Super old, the whole hotel needs a complete overhaul, rooms are small and the decor is dated and the furniture is old. The bathroom was the worst. Couldn’t even move in the shower, it was so tiny. Not luxury at all. It should be a 3.5 star hotel. Hotel staff was perfunctory and did not go out of their way to do anything special for us. Made a huge mistake by choosing this place.

A beautiful hotel. The only downside is that it is situated at the top of a hill on the edge of town - which means a twenty minute walk up the hill after a visit to a restaurant etc in Platja d'Oro!

This was really a great experience, and the attention to detail in this hotel is better than in most that I have stayed at. For example they had a shaving kit in the bathroom, which is sometimes a very needed accessory. The restaurant, served amazing food, and the service was really great.

Excellent hotel, elegant, very clean with wonderful service from the reception staff to cleaning staff. the breakfast was very good. On my birthday they sent a card and Wine which was a real surprise. It I would rate among the top 10% of luxury hotels. The have indoor and outdoor pools, and modest Gym room and beautiful beachs close by.

Hotel is in a great location, 10 minutes walk to town, on the waterfront, easy access to beach in front....and the most wonderful coastal walking track. Room was spacious with a big balcony and water views. Pool area was good with plenty of sun beds for everyone...so no pre breakfast saving here. Restaurant is a beautiful setting, and food very good.

Great hotel in a fantastic location

This is a really good hotel that meets all of your expectations, staff are friendly and accommodating, facilities are very well maintained and very good. It is rare to stay in a room where the airflow is perfect and not sty-filling. Facilities at the pool are good if a little restricted for the number of guests. Finally you could not find a better location on this coast. Finally great breakfasts.

Beautiful location but disappointing experience

Our room was located on the 1st floor with ocean view. The hotel is located at a beautiful cove but the small beach is certainly not \"private\". The beach was so crowded on Saturday we couldn't find any place to sit by noon. For the price (600+ Euro/night) we were expecting a more secluded beach and better pool side service. The facility and room were nicely decorated... but the worst part... I was bitten by bed bugs one night. I didn't know what the red marks were until they didn't go away for a few days and I researched it on line. Wish I had a chance to tell the hotel staff. Really disappointing...

A beautiful spa on the Mediterranean

A lovely hotel on the Costa Brava. On the north side of Platja d'Aro--away from the busy downtown. Our room had an ocean view and a nice balcony. The breakfasts were excellent, the spa was quite nice too. The hotel has its own beach. We were there in Spring so it wasn't too crowded--just the way we like it. Lots of short day trips to very cool places. Hotel restaurant pretty goodb-a little stuffy but convenient.

Relaxing and comfortable

After 8 days of walking in the Pyrenees, this was just the relaxation we needed. Met in the hotel car park by the concierge (nice touch) it started very well. It's not got many rooms and being off season meant it never felt super busy, being able to get a lounger by the pool despite wandering down at lunchtime was perfect.
Our room was supposed to have a sea view, and it did just, but the large balcony with sun loungers more than made up for that. The pool area was lovely with a range of seating arrangements available. The beach was nice too, but is not private as is indicated by photos of the hotel.
I have to say it but breakfast was amazing - so much of everything to choose from, oh and bubbles! Awesome!
The spa is lovely, not many loungers, but a good space and I had an excellent massage so can highly recommend that.

Nice hotel with a strange design

The hotel is located in a picturesque spot.
The stuff has been very helpful and tried to get us the room we wanted.
It is however decorated in some kind of \"nouveau rich \" design. It applies to the room as well as common grounds. It is pretty clear that it was an amateur work and unfortunately takes away from overall enjoyment.
The hotel has a well equipped spa.

The new Spa is the best, and the food unbelievable

We were there for only one night stay. We came in tired, and directly went to the Spa. The Spa is really great, beautiful indoor pool with great sauna and turkish bath. We both had a massage and were completely relaxed 2 hours after chek-in. Then we went to the restaurant, and tried the local dishes. We had the local champagne and all together it was superb and really fairly priced.

The hotel is excellent with regards to the hotel service and the staff are very attentive without being over bearing. The hotel itself is very nice, incredibly clean and tidy but with one exception and that is the noise in the rooms. There appears to be very little done to prevent acoustic transfer. You can hear people walking about, furniture being moved and even when someone goes to the toilet. This is a shame as it can become rather tiring listening to other people especially first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Heavenly Experience

The hotel provides a five star experience in a beautiful location on a cliffside site overlooking a small rock lined cove beach on the Mediterranean just north of the Platja D'Aro town shopping strip. Large pool with lounges and lounge beds on three levels overlooking the sea. This is a first class hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. The indoor pool/spa was a special treat with a full size pool with a variety of water massage devices and a large hot tub and various multi outlet showers. Breakfast buffet was outstanding, as good as we have encountered in many years of traveling. We found the experience at Cala Del Pi to be a perfect relaxing break after a hectic visit to Barcelona.

Relax away from the crowd

A very clean and tidy 5* hotel. Spa package included which is agreat advantage. Friendly staff and room service.
A kettle in the room would have been good. The bar was not very enticing as it is in the basement and generally empty. Breakfast was very good and great selection.
We ate at the restuarant for dinner and the food was very good, a bit pricy but expected in a 5* hotel.
Nice pool and lounge area with beautiful private beach.

Amazing hotel with incredible beach access and spa

We stayed one night at the Salles Hotel & Spa Cala Del Pi as part of our one-year 2-week anniversary trip in Spain. This hotel was our favorite hotel of the trip! The hotel is very luxe and the beach access to a spectacular cove where we could swin and bask in the sun was beyond incredible. We also really loved the spa which offered all sorts of water massage therapies at no cost. Our only regret is not being able to stay there longer. A great hotel for a honeymoon trip or any special getaway!

thoroughly enjoyable stay. Particularly impressed with range & quality of services in the Spa. Dinner was also impressive in terms of service, choice &. taste. But wifi strength was pathetic and finding somewhere to put your feet when you sit on the toilet if you have long legs is hopeless.

New Year celebration in Spain!

We lived in a hotel 10 days from 28.12.12 to 08.01.14 , then there were the celebration of New Year, including New Year dinner. This pleasure is quite expensive , but it was rather boring . We are not the first to celebrate New Year in Spain, but in other hotels has always been a big TV with a New Year program broadcast from Madrid and other cities and countries. In this hotel we found it only a short period ( 15-20 minutes) New Year celebrations at 00.00 chasov.Such celebration a little upset .
The hotel has a lovely SPA complex with large pool, sauna, hammam , etc.
Open from 09.00 am to 09.00 pm . It is not very convenient, since it deprives you the opportunity to swim before breakfast. There are many different types of massage . However, how many times we did not try to get any other type of massage , always got only one species - total body massage .
The hotel has a lovely breakfast - varied buffet including champagne.
At the reception works attentive and responsive staff .

We had a great stay in June 2013. The hotel facilities such as the spa and pool are 5 star. Room was big, with a small lounge area, big bathroom with Spa type bath, 2 TVs, WIFI, safe, minibar, aircon etc. Everything you would expect. The town center with restaurants etc. is probably 1km away (15 min walk maybe) so its best to have a car. The only thing the hotel misses is a 'normal' restaurant (the Hotel resaurant it very expensive) and a nice bar area for having drinks outside. Might have been just the time we were there but there was nobody outside having a drink or anything in the evening so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. If I could book this hotel again (and I would) I would pay a little extra for a room with balcony.

A hidden retreat in Platja d'Aro

A very cosy boutique hotel with great location and magnificent view. Right choice if you want to stay away from crowds and enjoy personal touch. SPa is worth visitng. Don't expect too much from the local beach, it's beautiful but quite small. Breakfasts are superb!

This hotel is a wonderful \"Five Star\" Property. Just the right size with a great decor. The rooms are charming with great views of the sea. The facilities and spa are excellent.

My only concern was the noise from dogs barking from the property next door. This was very disturbing and must be resolved before we would return. It is to nice of property to subject guests to such a continual distrubence.

Sou hóspede do Hotel Cala del Pi há cerca de 6 anos, desde antes da obra, e posso afirmar com toda certeza que a cada visita minha admiração só aumenta. O hotel já era encantador, mas após a renovação ficou ainda mais incrível: moderno, elegante e ao mesmo tempo acolhedor, sem perder o charme e a essência que sempre o tornaram especial.

O conjunto todo é impecável — localização privilegiada, estrutura de alto nível, conforto em cada detalhe e uma atmosfera única. Mas o que realmente faz a diferença são as pessoas que ali trabalham. A equipe inteira é atenciosa, profissional e acolhedora, transmitindo sempre simpatia e cuidado. Quero deixar aqui um agradecimento especial ao Paul, cuja dedicação, gentileza e atenção fazem com que cada estadia se torne ainda mais inesquecível.

Nette Begrüßung durch deutsch sprechenden Niederländer. 👍 Zum Geburtstag wurde eine Flasche Prosecco auf Kksten des Hotels auf’s Zimmer geliefert 👍.
Personal bemüht sich!

Leider vorab telefonisch zugesagte Massage Buchung nicht weitergegeben ☹️. Spa Bereich mäßig und auch lediglich für zwei Stunden zu buchen. Restaurant leider nicht dem hohen Preisniveau angemessen. Die Speisen sehen gut aus, lassen aber geschmacklich sehr zu wünschen übrig. Bei der Frage nach einem Tempranillo wurde von zwei Obern die Weinkarte durchsucht (aber es war auch keiner im Sortiment). Gerade ein Kellner sollte sich mit den Weinen und der Weinkarte gut auskennen (hier ist ein Training unerlässlich)

Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und versucht den Gast gut zu bedienen. Beim Frühstücksbuffet lag alles scheinbar schon sehr lange dort (wir waren um 10:00 Uhr da / bis 11:00 Uhr kann gefrühstückt werden) (Früchte trocken, Wurst am Rand leicht angelaufen, Spiegelei trotz Wärmelampe eher kalt). Kapsel - Kaffee in der Selbstbedienung. Cappuccino Bestellung über das Personal funktionierte nicht (es wurde nur Kapselkaffee gebracht…). Personal im Restaurant spricht nur Katalan oder Spanisch bzw Französisch. Englisch nur mäßig / in einem Hotel dieser Preisklasse sollte zumindest englisch im Restaurant obligatorisch funktionieren!

Außenbeleuchtung sehr schön gestaltet! Zimmer sauber mit technischen Spielereien wie z.B. beheizbaren Toilettensitz 😁

A l’arrivée on nous a donné une suite à côté de la réception près des escaliers et donc de passages bruyants
Cette suite n’était pas prête peu meublée et la télévision ne recevait que les chaînes espagnoles
Il nous a semblé que cette suite n’aurait jamais dû être proposée nous avons vite demandé de changer ce qui a été fait.

Hotel com estrutura espetacular. Me decepcionou o serviço de atendimento de bar/comidas nas áreas externas (piscina e solariam). Para conseguir algo para tomar tinha que procurar funcionário pelo hotel. Esperava mais nesse sentido por ser hotel 5 estrelas.

Buen rincón tranquilo cerca del ambiente.

Bonito hotel en primera línea de mar. Muy buen servicio. Decoración un poco anticuada a mi gusto, pero todo muy bien cuidado. Frente a una cala muy bonita.

Très bel hôtel mais qui a baissé un peu en qualité par rapport à mon avant-dernier séjour, notamment au niveau du restaurant.
Sinon situation de l'hôtel exceptionnelle avec sublime plage privée, chambre très propre, agréable et confortable ! Le petit plus avec la grande terrasse et le lit d'extérieur.
Meilleur spa que j'ai jamais vu ! Petit bémol : le sol est très glissant avec ou sans tongs !

Nous avons été très bien accueilli dès notre arrivée, un personnel souriant et disponible.
Les chambres sont parfaites, propres, confortables et modernes.
Le spa est bien même s'il est un peu bruyant.
Le parc de l'hôtel est très bien.
Le restaurant est agréable mais un peu cher.
L'hotel dispose d'un parking couvert gratuit.
Une très bonne adresse!!!!

Un hotel perfecto para ir con tu pareja en una escapada romántica. Es un hotel para disfrutar del mismo. La limpieza de las habitaciones, sus vistas al mar, el desayuno es espectacular (con embutidos ibéricos, salmón ahumado, dulces, zumo natural, fruta...), el spa es perfecto y puedes acceder tantas veces como quieras, su piscina exterior, el acceso directo a la cala... En resumen, un hotel de 10!

sejour detente a deux super sejour dans un hotel classe super chambre super petit dej ,nous n'avons pas profiter du resto mais avons trouver en ville un petit resto vrai typique ou nous avons ete adopter de suite par la patronne et le patron malgres la langue nous nous sommes regaler de l'ambiance et des repas (sangria superbe)pour revenir a l'hotel proprete lit super grand, super piscine d'enfer et cadre magnifique merci pour ce sejour

Estuvimos con mi mujer, una noche. Fuimos al spa y realmente está bien, con piscina, chorros de masaje, saunas, jacuzzi,... Luego la habitación es muy correcta y con buenas vistas, pero el baño lo encontré feísimo, mal diseñado, tenía bañera hidro, y una ducha aparte rinconera que no se cabía, con un sólo lavabo, y con espacio suficiente para haberlo hecho mejor.
La cena del restaurante fue correcta, sin más. Lo mejor fue la atención del personal , el spa, y las vistas y recintos exteriores.
