The property is beautiful, we reserved a double room with an ocean view, the view was beautiful… not the view of the rooftop though.

My biggest thing is that you have to pay for parking…they have more than enough parking to give it free to there guests, and now on to the breakfast.. The hot items like the bacon, sausage, fried eggs, cooked vegetables, cooked mushrooms were just there , no hot plate , nothing to keep them warm, so it’s cold breakfast sausage..

parking was not that easy and we had to pay
18 euros per day , most hotels wont charge you for parking . We ask for Ocean view from our room and they didn't have it, so my husband and I where not very happy about it. The views where Amazing from the terrace. and beach was near by .

This was the most beautiful hotel I have ever been to due to the restaurant setup, beaches, and great rooms. The pictures online don't do the property justice. The breakfast was also fantastic, with over five stations of different food choices. My teenagers loved it. The hotel was also located within 10 minutes of nearby shops. It was also included in the Rando de Camino walking path along the ocean.

You can’t beat the beautiful scenery around and the beach that’s accessible with the nice little restaurant on the beach. Stay for the location with amazing views, modern and comfortable decor. Food at their Brava bar was inconsistent and could be better but breakfast was great.

The property has amazing views of the Mediterranean coast. It’s conveniently located on the beach. The beach has a little hut that sells, food & drinks, restroom, and you can also rent lounge chairs & umbrellas (cash only). The food & beverage hut accepts credit card. You can not charge back to your room. The town shops and restaurants are about a 30 minute walk from the hotel.

Beautiful Hotel overlooking the sea. Had very nice room for 2 nights. Just a shame that the hotel charges to enter the facilities with extra charge where in other hotels it is included in the price. Rooms can see some upgrade as they are starting to show their age. But all in all a great experience.

Really helpful reception staff, the restaurant staff not so unless their manager was around , the hotel has undergone some major renovations,I would recommend walking into town for dinner most nights as the menu has changed but has a long way to go.Good gym and a beautiful location.

Buck up Park Hotel!

When we arrived we ended up waiting 4 hours for a room to be assigned because the ‘mattresses were being changed’. Obviously that was necessary because the condition of the ones they were removing was appalling.

The next day we went out and returned around 3 pm to find that the room had not yet been made up and the bed was flipped on its end against the wall. Again, the same excuse.

We went to the front desk, obviously angry, and for the second time in 2 days were given a coupon for a free drink, as if that makes up for any inconvenience!

The hotel food was terrible, and I do mean terrible. On one occasion my husband ordered some kind of beef with mushrooms and it arrived cold. Also, it was so salty as to be inedible. No sides, just a little plate of salted meat and mushrooms. I ordered the spaghetti and it resembled no pasta I have ever seen or eaten. We do realize these items are not local cuisine, but after 2 weeks of sausage, salami and ham for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we’d had enough. We did not see one salad on the menu. The next day we tried the ‘bull burger’ and it was so raw that it was bleeding. The hotel desperately needs a new manager and a new chef!

One can only imagine how very pampered Spanish people must feel when visiting hotels in other countries, like Canada, where we come from.

Stunning Views, Scruffy Hotel

The location is stunning with the postcard views of the cliffs and little rock island connected with a beach just below the hotel.

On the negative side, and this is from the expectations I have on a \"4.5 star\" hotels with 9.0 average review:

-The whole hotel is in need of at least a light to medium renovation, new tiles on the terrace, new floors, painted walls, updated and upgraded furniture and fittings.
-The rooms are small and primitive. We had booked a double room with a King-size bed. We first got a room in the main building where the reception is. It was simply tiny, barely room to walk around the bed. I asked for a change, and in another building by the pool we got another room, still on the smallish side but acceptable.
-The whole hotel, everywhere, needs a proper cleaning from top to bottom. Corridors, outdoors, restaurants.
-Staff is fairly polite but they could give warm and friendly guidance on their corona-rules rather than somewhat harsh instructions.
-Their corona-procedure for serving breakfast is very slow and cumbersome, long queues in the morning. I've been to 5 different 4 & 5 star hotels in Spain this summer, so I know that there are better ways to organise it safely.
-Same with \"no mini-bar in the room because of corona\" . Ok , up to the hotel to run their hotel as they want, but other nice hotels in Spain can have a mini-bar managed correctly

We'll definitely be back to explore Costa Brava soon again, but I have no urge to re-book this hotel.

The view is simply amazing and the space and layout meant you could always find a spot to relax. The exterior of the hotel and overall superficial design features could be improved- in places it looked a little unloved. But the staff's friendliness; the amazing breakfast; the tasty and reasonably priced evening 3 course meal; the stunning views; the sound of the sea at night; the access to a spa onsite with a fab jacuzzi pool; the easy access to a stunning small cove at the foot of the hotel; and the overall relaxed and friendly ambience of the hotel added up to a wonderful long weekend break- I wanted to stay for a few more days! Thank you and I hope I'll be back.

When we went for breakfast there were ants in the cereal. Also ants on the bread. Breakfast was disappointing. We had also ordered dinner one evening and had to send both meals back as they were cold.

Up market paradise in the sun.

Amazing location overlooking the sea and private beach. Staff were very friendly, breakfasts were good and prices reasonable. The only downside was the size of our room which was on the small side.
I would however definitely return to this hotel if I was in the area. Well worth a visit.

Positives: very very friendly staff, amazing view, great bsthrooom with a shower I could stay in all day. And dinner, just fabulous. Breakfast buffet complete and lovely. With a bit warmer weather you could have breakfast outside.

Only comments are that when it’s cold, the tiles in the room are cold on bare feet. And there are many many steps. With injured ankles and knee this was a bit of a challenge.

Would definitely come again and can recommend.

Very nice Hotel

San Jorge is a nice hotel with stylish public lounges and a large terrace. It is sitting on top of a cliff providing beautiful views out on the sea and the small beaches below. One has to go down steps to reach these beaches. The sea was wild with a strong riptide during our stay end of Sept/early October. There is a swimming pool also. All staff were very efficient, personal and friendly. Any problem was immediately seen to. Breakfast was very varied and of good quality. Platja D'Aro is approx 1 km away and has a large variety of restaurants, good shops etc for an evening meal and stroll. overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the double room with ocean view. The room was on a small size, but the terrace was nice. The only problem there was that the view was obstructed as it was on the first level and basically \"sitting\" on the roof. While booking, I asked the hotel to give us a room on the second floor for a better view but the request was not honored. In addition, the two lounge chairs on the terrace were in a very bad shape. It was impossible to use them.
The real problem was the room itself. We were told it was recently renovated. The condition of the bathroom and the room suggested otherwise. There was some mold growing on the wall by the entrance door. The shower door, toilet seat, etc had some cracks.
They use soap and shampoo in bottles attached to walls, which was very hard to use. One would have to squeeze really hard.
The outside patio, breakfast room, pool are all nice and relaxing.
If you like the beach, be extra cautious as the bottom of the sea is all rocks.
The outside is a 5-star hotel, the inside is 2-3 stars (based on our experience in room 105).

Had the most terrible experience at this hotel with the front desk staff, I want to make it very clear, it was only the front desk staff, everyone else was very nice, room did not have A/C it was a disaster, they change room finally and then charge me $500 extra for the change in rooms when it was totally their fault for not having Air Conditioning in such a hot summer... restaurant people were amazing, front desk awful, awful, awful... great location for relaxing if you do not encounter the same issues i did with my daughter after flying 14 hours to get there.... very sad

Hotel was lovely had amazing views. The staff were very friendly.
My son who is 9 was not allowed to use the indoor spa pool and the outdoor pool was not open at this time of year, so he was disappointed.
If you are not very mobile the beach is very difficult to get to. There is a lot of steps you need to take, steep ones.
Location very nice, short taxi ride to main shopping area for about 11 Euros.
On my birthday the hotel brought me a bottle of cava to my room, which was a very nice gesture. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Relaxing at San Jorge

This was our sixth stay and it didn't disappoint, Christmas eve with friends was fun as was the entertainment. The bar and restaurant staff although extremely busy were always cheerful and obliging.
To wake in the morning to glorious sunrises and sea-views is always a bonus.

The view was to die for. Would recommend just for that! Steps wind down to a beautiful cove. Food in the restaurant was really good, and very fairly priced.
The only downside was the bathroom needs updating, and bedroom floor needs attention. Overall, very good hotel, but I would say 3 star, not 4. Would stay again though.

Avoid this Hotel

Booked as Location and Hotel looked nice and ratings were good, Location nice but you cant get to Beach form Hotel as rock falls have blocked the paths and they have not repaired them just cordoned them off!!

Rooms were very very dated and bed sheets had stains on them have pictures if no one believes me.

Checked out next day and booked elsewhere

Very Disappointing :(

Costa brava Ole!

Silken Park Hotel was excellent the room with ocean view was clean very up to date in every way. Welcome pack of gummy bears upon arrival welcoming us was cute also two free glasses of cava on our last night was a very nice touch. The staff are very attentive friendly and helpful. On check out we wanted to get in one last beach day and they checked our luggage and gave us full privileges of the resort beach towels and a pass to the gym to shower and freshen off after the beach. The property has two private beaches that are stunning and the views are beautiful where ever you look. This four star felt like a five I would love to stay again.
