Great stay. The hotel is beautiful, in a walkable area with dining options like Mother Wolf right next door. The hotel restaurant and bar were great. Rooms are spacious and modern. The staff was fantastic, from Bridgette Joy at the front desk to Chris that brought packages I ordered to my room to Maria B who cleaned it. Looking forward to coming back.

I prepaid for the hotel via Expedia. Then, the hotel charged me the full stay again without Expedia credit at checkout and getting it fixed is like pulling teeth. It's still not resolved. Then, the hotel put a mystery $250 charge on my credit card for package service. I know nothing about a package service. We'll see if we can get it corrected.

Room was very nice! Bed was too firm for my preference due to low back arthritis. Not their fault! Shower spray was a bit weak, but otherwise the room was perfect with a great view and A/C. The staff was fabulous!! They were all so nice, friendly, and accommodating! Loved the rooftop bar!! Bartenders were great! And the area was decorated so nicely! Drinks were the BEST! Especially the Jane Birkin with cucumber! Location was excellent! Close to attractions and restaurants! Walkable! Definitely recommend!

Staff told us nothing upon checking in. No information about the pool, complementary afternoon drinks, or checkout.

After asking, was told the pool was heated to about 80 degrees, found out through experiencing it that it indeed is not heated.

AC did not cool very efficiently and started making a rattling noise during our stay.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel. The room and bed were very comfortable. If you don't like a lot of light know the AC panel has lights that light up at dark. The rooftop was very cool. It's a small restaurant on top but beautiful views. At night there's a club on the roof that was packed with youn party goers on a Friday night. I was in the 5th floor the noise wasn't bad. But if you want quiet this may not be your spot on the weekend. Plenty of food options to walk to. Lots of homeless people and the sidewalks dirty but thats Hollywood. I'd stay here again if I needed to be in the area. The staff was very warm and friendly.

As someone who tends to get the ick from hotels in general, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Some highlights include the staff who were both friendly and attentive, and the cleanliness of our room (King bed w Terrace- 8th floor), and property as a whole. A few notes to consider that may or may not make or break your stay. The rooms are quite small, to my surprise. The property offers a $17 daily credit toward food and beverage which apparently comes off automatically when you charge items to the room. That seemed to be a point of confusion the first few days as some staff told us you had to present the card given, some stated it comes off your final bill. Personally I didn’t care for the way it was done as we didn’t charge everything to the room the first few days therefore missed out on that particular benefit several times. The rooftop bar turns into a nightclub certain days of the week, so if loud music, including loud base until 2 am is an issue for you, you’ve been warned. We didn’t mind at all, but the higher the floor the louder it is, so that should be considered. Lastly, and truly the only thing I personally had a gripe with was that there is no complimentary coffee offered as stated in their welcome email. My morning coffee is like oxygen to me and not being able to conveniently grab it and make it myself was ridiculous to me. I feel like it’s a bare minimum and one of the most important, and easiest conveniences a property can offer their guests.

This was a find in LA! Celebrated our first anniversary, and they blew us away with hospitality. The front desk was incredible, he wished us a happy anniversary and gave us complimentary drinks. Even though it’s our first celebration, we aren’t young, I was asleep by 10pm. lol! The balcony view of the city was pretty awesome. Thank you for contributing to our experience and providing top notch service.

We liked the fact it was close to sites and the pool was great. Also the food was very good and staff friendly.

Didn’t like the fact the cleaning staff seemed to come around late every day just before they were ready to leave. Seemed they should have allowed themselves more time to clean the rooms. We were able to get towels , soap etc but better planing could have enabled the room to be cleaned more often.

Our stay here was above par. We loved the location and easy access to all the major attractions in Hollywood and the venue we saw a concert at, which was our main reason for staying. The staff was beyond friendly and showed great care of the guests. Especially Edwin! He was a delight to speak with.

I got to the property earlier than check-in on purpose because I was meeting friends who were also staying at the property. I arrived a little before 2pm and went straight to the front desk to let them know I had arrived and asked to be let up to the roof to wait with friends until my room was ready.
My room wasn't ready until almost 4:40pm, which meant I didn't even have time to shower and get ready before our 5:30 dinner reservation, which I found totally unacceptable when the check in time is supposed to be at 3pm. Very disappointing and inconvenient.

Chic Hotel with Potential

The hotel is stylish and well-presented, and I appreciated being pleasantly upgraded to a studio suite, which was a lovely touch.

That said, I would strongly advise against staying on the 10th floor unless you’re prepared to be kept awake by loud music from the rooftop. It goes on past 2am and isn’t limited to weekends, which made it very difficult to rest.

I also had a frustrating experience when simply trying to get hot water to take medication. The first kettle they sent was dirty and gave off a terrible smell when boiling. When I requested cups of hot water instead, I was told room service was “busy.” To make matters worse, maintenance was sent to check the shower instead, which was not what I needed. Eventually, a new kettle was provided—brand new and very clean—which I did appreciate, but it should not have been this difficult to resolve such a basic request.

Overall, while the hotel has style and potential, the combination of rooftop noise and poor service around simple needs left me disappointed.

On a positive note, Bridget was fantastic—a warm, friendly presence who always greeted me by name and really stood out.

The individual room was excellent, but the hotel was noisy until the bar area closed around 2am. The staff was wonderful. The area around the hotel was not safe. I know the hotel can’t do much about that, but parking should be included with the room to avoid offsite parking issues. The rooftop pool was fun. We would stay again.

We loved it here. Close to concert venues and lots of restaurants around. The rooftop pool was awesome. Great views. The lounge chairs were comfortable. The service staff was great. You could get food and drinks delivered poolside. We had breakfast at the rooftop restaurant and it was good. So nice not to have to leave the hotel early. The dinner at Bar Lis was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and view was perfect and so was the service. We loved the happy hour in the downstairs bar with charcuterie and alcohol was perfect and the live entertainment was great! The gym was set up with so many options. The bed and pillow were so comfortable. Our only small complaints are that we expected the towels to be nicer and fluffier for such a higher end hotel and the mini fridge wasn’t set up to handle our leftovers due to drink storage they had for purchase. I would recommend!!

The front desk and lobby staff were welcoming and pleasant from check-in to check-out. The hotel is clean, stylish without being stuffy, and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed a great dinner and excellent service at The Terrace restaurant on the rooftop. The only downsides were that because the rooftop turns into a nightclub at 10pm on weekend, the music was slightly audible even from our 9th-floor room (though earplugs were provided)—and housekeeping not servicing our room by 4pm despite us being out most of the day.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a good experience. The room itself was very nice, spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was vibrant and welcoming, which made for a great first impression.

However, my room was on the 9th floor, and unfortunately, the noise from the rooftop music was a major drawback. The music played loudly from around 10 AM all the way until 2 AM, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. It really took away from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The hotel itself looks great and has a nice rooftop. With that said, the beds were not comfortable, at night you constantly hear the loud music of the rooftop bar/club, and there's a AC control unit that has a bright light which makes it difficult to sleep at night despite the other lights being off. Also, the shower pressure was very low. I did enjoy the rooftop views though.

I booked the presidential suite for a night away with my husband and me his birthday and we were not disappointed night. The staff sent up gifts for us when they found out about my husband‘s birthday, which was really nice of them. The room was wonderful to say the least. it was clean and the views were amazing. Excellent! Beautiful hotel and the service was impeccable. The room was so nice with amazing views of the Hollywood sign. So much so we decided to hike up to the sign! Rooftop bar was a whole vibe and clearly a popular spot in town. So much fun, you could relax or party…whatever your mood was. Best flat white and pancakes at the rooftop restaurant! I was not expecting the food to be so good. Wonderful stay. Love the Thompson hotels because they are consistent in the service and quality in different cities that I’ve stayed.

Clean, love the pool, restaurant , the gym the friendly helpful staff , comfy beds , beautiful views from the rooftop .. but there can be music disruption from the Bar after 10 at times depending on where your room is located.
