No late check-ins. Office closes at 9pm and doesn’t open until 10 am. You can try calling but it won’t do any good. Had to find another hotel late at night to avoid sleeping in our car. Messaged the property and never got a response. Side note, the property is mixed with permanent residence and hotel. Kinda scetchy.

You're better off sleeping in your car. After signing a \"no smoking\" agreement, I was puzzled as to why I was smelling pungent cigarette smoke before even opening the door. My 11-yr-old actually caught wind of it before I even said anything, as we were opening the door. The room was also NOTHING like the pictures; check Yelp! It was so bad that we left and found other (much better) accommodations. I'm astonished that they're able to stay open, with glaring health concerns (especially for those of us with migraines and asthma) and false advertising, especially at the wildly expensive rates they're asking for. Don't go there.

Pet friendly with convenient location, and the beds were comfortable. However, The rooms were hot with no AC. We couldn’t open the windows because they had no screens. They had a fan in the room and it was very dirty. The hallways outside and stairs were also very dirty with dog poop smeared on the steps, both days we stayed.

The room was really nice, bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious. The room had a ceiling fan but no AC... it wasnt the worst, just had to sleep with the window open. The lights outside the hotel rooms are so bright that even closing the curtains with my hairclip the light was so bright it felt like I had a lamp on in the room. And then wjth the window open due to no AC the cars were loud all night.

So if you are a super light sleeper, keep that in mind.. other than that for the cost of the hotel the rooms were overall incredibly nice. And so were the two men at the front desk.

Check in was closed. But number was available and clerk came immediately and was very professional. The room was small, the sheets might not have been washed or cleaned properly because they had hair on them, the sink was falling off the wall and the floor was sticky. Overall, good value - but be prepared to look the other way at some of these kinds of things.

Rust on everything, dirty bed sheets, hair on the very old comforter (which was advertised as being a clean white blanket) furniture hiding rust stains on the floor. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but after staying here and the absolute joke it's become among my family - I feel honesty is the best policy. When we arrived, I went to the front desk to check in. There was no one there, and no bell to ring to get their attention. A couple minutes passed, and a man came out dressed in street clothes with no visible way to tell he was an employee, and checked me in. Very short, straight to the point, and showed me the sheet with the WiFi password. Next, was the setup of the property. It's highly confusing to find your room, the front desk guy showed me a map but it was extremely brief and said it was for the front desk so there weren't any copies for guests to take. I felt like I needed it to find my room. The property itself was pretty filthy. The only thing that looked like the ad was the floors, clearly they TRIED to renovate at least one thing and make it look nice but it was very evident what they skipped over. The setup of our room was also strange. There was a large window with no screen on it right next to the door, which we put a box fan in to cool down but it did little to nothing to help how hot and humid it was. And we didn't feel safe leaving the window open all night so we slept in shifts basically so we could keep cool. The TV was tiny, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom counter was too short (I'm 5'6\" not a giant by any means). It was just terrible. Won't go back.

Basic spot to go to sleep. Room was worn, shades were stained, no desk or chair to sit in. The basics. Close to grocery stores and Walmart. On the man drag.. rooms were kinda noisy in the am.

When we arrived, our first room smelled like cigarette smoke badly and there was damage to all the furniture from previous guests. We asked to move to another room, where one of the bedside lamps did not have a working light, the furniture was, again, damaged, the fan was making noise and could not be used without safety concerns and there was no blow dryer to use. We called to request a blow dryer but the front desk simply stated \"some rooms have them and others don't\". I asked if we could get one and he responded that he could not get us a blow dryer. Additionally, there were cars in the parking lot that looked like people were living out of them and the staff was continually unavailable by phone and was outside talking to friends and vaping. We requested a refund as we decided not to stay due to the numerous issues, but the front desk manager, Dalton, needed to clear it with his boss. We waited for a bit but needed to leave to get to our new hotel. We never heard back from the team at Newport Inn By OYO....Do NOT stay here.

The staff were friendly, but also commented on the hotel's condition as skeezy. They recommended their nicer hotel -more expensive- down the road. There's no AC, the rooms -of which I was moved to two- were dirty and there was no escaping the cigarette smoke in the rooms, because you had to have the window open for air. Though the front desk staff members were friendly and provided me a refund receipt about ten minutes after checking in, I never did get a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. Thankfully, after providing the receipts for the charge and refund, my bank was able to reimburse me immediately. I still had to wait a month, but the hotel would not respond to my request for help and Expedia actually wouldn't help me either. So, maybe reconsider using Expedia in the future...? Honestly, if you book directly through hotel it's usually cheaper.

Good for a budget motel.

It's an acceptable room to stay in if you need some rest after driving Highway 101 all day. It's not fancy at all, but it works. My room was very spacious, but there wasn't a lot of furniture, and they have the TV situated way too far away from the bed (like 25 feet). You'll have plenty of space to do some square dancing if you want, but you'll have to squint to see the TV. Hardwood floors instead of carpet. A lot of roadside inns are going that way these days, but I don't particularly like it in a motel room. You'll have a hard time finding anything better on the Oregon Coast for $100, so it's a good deal.

i didn't like being told at checkin there is an additional charge for dog. not a deposit, a 10$ charge. i was surprised and shocked and then the manager waived the fee. they are within the price of other hotels in area that accept dogs and are bigger. i'm trying to give this place a chance again as i used to go here a lot. the room small size, and dog fee after i've already paid online, makes me a motel6 guy. i took pictures as i'm concerned of additional charges. they did accommodate me requesting a 1st floor for my disability. but ill go elswhere next time.

While the workers were nice and did resolve an issue with a resident (I guess people live here too for low income housing) who was screaming as if being attacked. The room was a little scary and definitely not a match to how it’s advertised. It should be represented more accurately. The pictures don’t show the same rooms. It was really dirty. The walls…The bathroom. The bed backboard, the nightstand, etc all were sticky and covered in something. Black dirt on all the walls, door, mold in bathroom. Hair on the nightstand stuck to something. Curtains had holes in them that looked like a giant animal scratched them. The curtains were tacked to the wall with thumb tacks. There was a desk without a chair and a strange wicker chair that was falling apart and a really dirty small armchair . The tv didn’t work. The fridge made the room sound like being in an airport with a plane taking off. Also the front desk doesn’t stay open and closes early so no one to talk to about this all after returning back to hotel and realizing how bad the room was. Definitely lower price than surrounding hotels but not worth the money spent at all. Bed frame was a metal cot spring frame. It’s okay that it was just basics inside the room but being so dirty it made it really uncomfortable to stay there. Just slept on top of the bed and got out as quickly as possible. It seemed someone had been living there for a while and then left and the room was never cleaned. Would not return.

Last minute getaway.

I've had a rough few months and needed a getaway. So made a last minute decision to go out of town. Sister and brother in law wanted to ride along. We go there after hours. (They close up at 6pm.) Called the number and they came to the door right away and got us checked in. The first room had a minor issue (no curtains - was fixed the following day). They also moved us to another room. It was quiet, beds were comfortable. The guys that manage the place are amazing. Such sweethearts. Can't wait to go back. Thank guys. See you again soon.

Staff was kind and polite. Walls in the main area were dirty and covered in grime. Floors were also dirty throughout the room. Found a dog bone on the floor under the bed and mold/mildew covering the box springs on the terribly uncomfortable beds. Bathroom walls had yellow grime, blood splatters were found on the bathroom door. Bathroom faucet was not secure and moved freely in the counter opening. Minimal furniture in the room, had to hold coffee pot up to outlet in order to plug in and make a cup of coffee. Overall a terribly awkward and uncomfortable stay.

When we got there ,there was a guy fixing his truck under the entrance canopy, I asked if he was working and told me yes....i learnt that many of the hotels are now renting rooms out to low income ppl, by the month... it was very noisy, lots of in and out. The neighboring room had a renter with 2 fair size dogs, one barked most of the night...so not cool.

The unit was clean, staff was very friendly, location great being across the street from Fred Meyer and Safeway. It was a little musty smelling and felt kind of damp on the floor. This was the worst experience I've had at a Newport Hotel in a long time. The desk attendant was never at their desk and the door was locked. The room wreaked of marijuana, and please dont get me wrong I dont mind the smell but its not somethingbone should have to constantly come across in the room you paid for.The internet was intermittent at best, and the bed was lumpy/mishapen, and the bedspread was merely plopped on top rather than a bed being made up when I first came in. The window had no mesh covering so when I wanted the overly warm room to cool down some I simy had to leave my window wide open to an open parking lot. The resident's that apparently live in the building had loud animals that kept barking whenever anyone new walked by or entered. The resident had a near constant stream of people showing up & leaving. The surrounding grounds where littered with cigarette butts, broken glass, etc.. I even hot the early morning pleasure of walking across a used condom while I went to my vehicle for work. Overall dud of a work trip only because the hotel was in disrepair & disgusting circumstances.

Started out like hell. But definitely going back.

When I first got into Newport Thursday night (early Friday morning 230am). I was supposed to have a spot over at a different motel. No one was there as advertised to get me checked in despite the communication of letting them know I'd be coming in late due to work and that I was driving down from Portland for my sister's birthday weekend. Because no one was there to get me checked in I ended having to spend the night in my car over on some friends property for the night. Friday afternoon I had to get a another hotel room for the remainder 2 nights that my sister and I were in town. So we went to Newport Inn. So Over all stay at Newport Inn was awesome. It was quiet and I got the much needed rest that I needed. Beds were slightly firmer than I expected but it was a bed to sleep in so can't complain to much. The customer service at the front desk is amazing. very sweet and helpful at check in. And because my room was ready, they let me check in early. Thanks guys you are amazing. because of you guys I will definitely be coming back and staying at this motel.

The room has a musty smell but beds were comfortable. The bathroom fan knob was missing but luckily Fred Meyer is right across the street where we could buy pliers. The hotel room I was offered was in poor condition. The walls, floors, bed, bathroom, and flimsy front door all need renovations. I ended up leaving after a few minutes and went to another hotel.
Hotels.com attempted to resolve the issue but made no progress. I received no refund, not even a partial refund for my two-night stay.
I'm rethinking my consumer relationship with Hotels.com becuase they do business with this substandard hotel.

Well, there are drain flies. The bed isn't that comfy. There is no screen on the window- just opens up onto the second floor walkway. The walls are thin and a very loud annoying man could be heard through the walls at all hours.
No cooling system so the room was really stuffy- too sketchy to open the window.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I will never stay here and will be telling everyone I know not to ever go here. I can not believe how rude the front desk guy was to me. I booked through expedia and it was a pay when you get to property. We are coming from hours away driving up the coast so I had no service.
So what happened: I pulled up, called the after hours number to check in. He's super nice on the phone, awesome, I hop out come in to a pleasant atmosphere and give him my name, there was some confusion cause I gave my maiden and than married name, some of my thing arent changed over, He proceeds to look up at me and in the most rudest tone tells me since I didn't pay ahead and they tried to call several times, so they canceled it because I was told I had to check in by 4pm and they are fully booked, shuffled around grabbed his keys saying have a good night and walks back through the door he originally came through, leaving me in the lobby with my mouth open going um okay, trying not to cry because i cant even comprehend why he had to be so hostel with me when i hadnt even really said much to him.. as well as leaving me in his lobby that he just unlocked to let me in 2 min prior, just so unbelievably rude for no reason.

This is a very old motel on the side of a very busy road so it is noisy even with the windows closed. I read the reviews before booking and lots were undesirable but i booked anyway because of the lower price. If you just need a place to sleep with hot and cold shower and not a place to hang out, this is an ok place. My room had a queen bed, a table with a microwave on top
(no chair), a coffee maker, a small wobbly fridge, 2 nightstands, 1 table lamp and 1 floor lamp. The table lamp has rust on it and there was a yellow liquid stain on the table i wiped off. There is nowhere to hang clothes/jackets. The bed is decent. There is no security lock, just one door lock. It got hot at night but there is no ac or fan, there is a window but it had no screen on so you cannot leave it open to air out. Good thing i read about the absence of ac and brought my portable fan. The outside is dirty, wall stains and cigarette butts and trash by the stairs definitely could use a lot more upkeep. Overall, the stay is decent but I will probably not stay here again.

Worth it for under $90/night

The floors were dirty, the mattress was very uncomfortable, the window had no screen and no way to lock it. Newport is awesome, this hotel not so much.

Basic room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Wish there was a fan or AC in the room, as it got very hot in there. There were no screens on the windows so didn’t feel comfortable leaving a window open.
