We only stayed one night but I would make it a destination if in the area again. I really liked our room with a balcony and ocean view. We ate at the restaurant on the property which saved us more driving after a already long travel day. The pool had lots of people but the hot tub and pool was adults only after 9 or 10 pm. This Beach front property kinda secluded and peaceful

The front desk help was a disaster.. They arbitrarily charged 1/2 of bill 2 days before arrival to a bank account NOT authorized. Upon my arrival, I questioned there policy and gave them the card I wanted to use. They have now charged the entire cost to that card and have 2 more charges pending. AND THEY HAVE CHARGED MY BANK ACCOUNT!!!

Love the ocean view and walking on the beach. Room was clean and kitchen was very nice to have. It Was great having electric plug in for my car on site. Wife enjoyed indoor pool. Covered walkways for the rainy day was nice. Second and third floor rooms have better views of ocean. But first floor you can walk right out the back door. Great to set outside
on covered balcony.

Arrived at check in but no rooms ready so was told to comeback later they were cleaning our room now. Went to eat and came back two hours later but rooms still not ready have to wait some more. Didn’t get our rooms till 7:30 that night.
Went to front desk and asked for more towels and they said they would send some up but towels never came. Was given a coupon to the restaurant for our inconvenience. Food was ok but the waitresses were talking loudly amongst themselves about how badly the place was ran the whole time we were eating. We were woken up at 11:00 and then again at 2:00 in the morning by fire alarms going off but didn’t see anything going on outside no employees or staff around explaining why.

The place stunned us! The views rival Cannon Beach ocean view properties minus the big rock of course, but same beach vibes! Our room was so clean, spacious, great amenities and the beds were so comfortable! The balcony was roomy with a glass front which was so nice for viewing the ocean and beach. We hung out on the beach during the day and sat on the balcony watching the sunset after we dipped into the fantastic pool. The kiddie splash pad wasn't open while we were there but that feature alone is so worth a family stop here! A hidden gem to be sure! We will definitely stay here again! Cannot recommend enough!

We arrived at 6:15 PM for a 4PM check in, which we had confirmed prior. After a day of exploring the coast, we wanted nothing more than to shower and then have dinner. Too or dismay, our room was not ready. When I confirmed that our check in was 4 the response was .yes, but we are very busy. Not acceptable. Time in our oceanfront room was cut short. Room was decent, property could be cleaner. Elevator was dirty and floor was falling apart. Overall, not impressed with what could have been a beautiful night .

The room itself was ok, the bathtub had hair in it. My nephews first room had mold all over it and the bath room was filthy. We go there for a family reunion and I have never seen it like that. It was also very, very expensive.

Second trip to this hotel. I enjoyed the full kitchen and my son enjoyed the pool but it could use a little make over. My main issue was with desk staff, I was told no early check-in which was fine, so we went to the local grocery store. When we returned AT CHECK IN TIME I was told the room would still be a wait. The staff was a bit rude and condescending when I asked when I could get a room, no real answer was given. I went back an hour after check-in and still was met with a \"no room available \" and no offer to rectify or speed up the process. I had to ask if my son could use the pool as he was going stir crazy in the car, the lady at desk gave me a key card but with an attitude. All the while, my groceries were sitting in car defrosting. After several times checking back I got into the room nearly 2 hours after check in and NO OFFER TO MAKE UP FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. We also had an issue with key card not working and had to go back and get a replacement a couple times, not fun to get locked out of your room when its cold out and your coming back from pool. Not sure this will be our choice for our yearly trip to the area.

The property is in a great location with direct access to the beach and a short drive either north or south for all kinds of restaurants and activities. The place is dated and needs a renovation. Our room hot water and heat was not working so they kindly moved us to another room. They could do a better job cleaning. The pool and hot tub were really nice.

Stayed one night on a business trip and instantly felt like I was on vacation. The view from the room patio was incredible and so surprisingly warm considering how windy it was on the coast. The V like shape of the hotel seems to provide a good wind block depending on what side you stay and which way the wind is blowing of course.
The restaurant was fantastic as well.

Amazing, amazing, amazing view! Checked in a couple of hours before sunset. Enough time to walk to the beach and touch the sand and ocean. Then enjoyed the sun finally setting from our balcony with a drink in hand of course. So I’d definitely recommend staying here.

It is advertised as a Resort and Conference Center but it really feels like a Motel. The place is really not clean and has a kind of a strange smell. Everything is charged. A crib for the baby is 10 Dollar per night. Late checkout again additional fee. Only positive thing is the spectacular few from the room, but it was difficult to enjoy it was really not clean.

This was the best dog friendly hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. They have little care packages for each dog and the pet fee is lower than any other hotel we’ve stayed at. The rooms are great and the view is fantastic! There is great beach access and the most amazing tide pools just a short 20 mile drive down the gorgeous coastline. Highly recommend staying here.

First off, this is a motel and the pictures do not show that. This is called a resort and conference center, this is a motel with a small room they call a conference center. I felt catfished when I pulled up to the property. That being said, each room has a balcony with a great view of the ocean.

Upon arrival the room was dirty , trash in trash can and bed not made. Got moved to a different room that also was not completely clean but acceptable as I didnt want to move again. Went to use TV the batteries were dead in the remote. Took staff an hour to bring batteries and almost 2 hours to get an extra blanket. Ive had motel 6 stays that were cleaner and more responsive. For almost 200 dollars this was extremely disappointing

My experience was good. At first I was a little frustrated but I realize some is just my experience and some things need to be shared. First we had no shampoo or body wash once I was in the shower that isn’t an every person experience. I ran out of hot water before my shower was finished at 7:15 in the morning it was on full
Hot and I rinsed in cold. I didn’t appreciate that the thin blanket is wrapped in between 2 sheets and that is what you get for covering. The second night I text and asked for another one and they did bring up right way so that was appreciated.
What people need to know is the queen rooms are small. Like barely room to add your luggage to. The hotel is a little rundown, the elevator floor was ripped and it all just looked weathered I get it gets a lot of wind and salt but the pictures don’t truly show how it is.
The room shots make it look far nicer than they are.
With that said after traveling from Florence to Bandon and noticing places to stay it seemed to be the only spot to actually stay on the beach so that is the definite attraction and bonus.
It wasn’t dirty and disgusting it was just a little rundown and could use TLC. Maybe an extra blanket in the closet and housekeeping should always check the dispenser for soaps.
If I had to do it again I would stay there again the price was good and the location exceptional.
As I said some of the things were just my experience.
Go prepared and then enjoy you access to the ocean its beautiful .

Exterior had bird poop all over, nests in the elevator area, etc. The first room we were given was sweltering. The thermostat wasn’t working. We were told that they don’t always have AC on the Oregon coast. That’s fine. We just needed a room with a working thermostat, we could open the door for a bit to cool down. We got a new room, and while warm, we were able to back down the heat. Internet was non existent, even though they supposedly just updated their WiFi.

However, the restaurant attached had a great breakfast the next morning!

The rooms were older but the view from the large balcony was a million dollar view. The staff was very friendly very helpful. The Surfside Bistro was excellent the claw chowder was the best I have ever had and you have to try the Pacific Hash. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The unique encounter I had last night s stay was a LOUD fire alarm while sound asleep, and 100 decibels voice right on the ceiling next to my bed

My Sr/Disabled client looked at me as I shot out bed wondering
At check in earlier I saw the staff talking with a frantic maintenance man and conversation overhead about fire alarm going off…. So I suspected it was a false alarm and told him to just wait. A few moments later text came from the front desk. False Alarm, we’re working on it. But it kept repeating
5 stars but they got to fix the glitch. At checkout they said a hot shower in a room triggered it, for the whole section.

So, I read reviews before I booked. I saw the comments of others sharing that it wasn’t fancy and the rooms were a little run down, so I didn’t go in with super high hopes. However, despite that I was still disappointed. The reviews are true, the hotel is old, in need of some repairs, and is basically a place to lay your head. The best part for me was the breakfast - restaurant has beach view, big portions, and I had a friendly waitress. Also, obviously, the view from the hotel room balcony. You have a front row seat to the beach and great sunset views. Other than that, I did not have a good stay. The elevator was dirty inside, and in need of some maintenance. When I arrived at my room, there was a pile of garbage bags, dirty linens and towels laying in the walkway outside of my door. I did check in a little early, so I assumed housekeeping would be coming back to get them. When it was 10:00pm and I saw they were still there, I contacted the office. The bed was too hard and very uncomfortable, and the sheets were too small and kept coming up in the corners. I woke up in the morning to light coming in only to discover the curtains had holes in them. The in-room coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned. The shower had terrible water pressure and the towels smelled like Aunt Linda’s house… if you catch my drift. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my friends or family and I will not be staying again.

Check in time is 4pm, our room wasn’t ready until after 5pm. They have an onsite restaurant but it is closed on Sundays. We arrived Sunday afternoon. No where on their website does it mention this. In fact their website says they serve brunch on Sundays. We struggled to find food for dinner. The next closest restaurant is a bar down the road where minors are not allowed - we had 2 kids with us. There is an indoor pool area and play structure, but the play structure was closed - also not mentioned anywhere prior to our arrival. The beds and pillows were probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been. A large dip in the mattress and pillows that gave me a headache. I think hospital pillows are better. Bring your own pillow from home and save your neck. The best part of this place is the location as it is right on the beach and every room has an ocean view. The staff were not helpful when I complained about our room not being ready on time. And they had no recommendations for a kid friendly restaurant. Only said to check out the nearest town which was 8 miles away. Had we know this in advanced I would have been more prepared. The property is very outdated and needs upgrading. The photos online are definitely not the same as what we experienced in person. I would not stay here again.

If you want to live in a grimy dirty room , this is the place for you. The carpet is may be 15 yrs old and has turned black with dirt and grime. The mattress is lumpy and you will get a backache when you get up in the morning. The furniture in the room is old and just trying to stay together. Bathroom looks way past it's time. The only thing going for them is that they are right in the beach. Other than that nothing. I will not recommend this place.

The room was fine. However, I expressly paid for an expensive suite only to find that it had only a partial view of the ocean from which one could not enjoy the sunset from the rooms deck. Big disappointment for the price paid. Also, the eating establishment was closed on a Saturday at 7:30 pm. Had to order Dominoes pizza delivery. Vending machine did not issue product and front desk would not reimburse. It's a good location, but why pay a significant rate if you don't get an unobstructed view of the ocean. Recommend you seek a different hotel and save your money.

We did not get our room available to check in tell 8:45 pm at night, when having reservations for 5 months. This ruined our entire stay. The motel staff never once apologized rather made it ok to comp our room. We were on motorcycles for a weekend getaway that because of poor management our trip was definitely affected. We checked in at 1:00 pm, our room should have been cleaned right away. To not have a guest room available to 8:45pm at night, The least that could be done is the room free. This is absolutely poor and mismanagement and unacceptable.

The views from our room were spectacular. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice kitchenette. While the resort could be updated and some repairs made our overall experience was good. The beach is right there. There is a small restaurant on site which has good food and is reasonably priced. They even have weekend specials. They don't seem to have any problem booking the place on weekends.

We could not have picked a better location for beach walking and listening to the ocean. The rooms are a good size and having a kitchen was great. I think the fees for dogs run a little high, especially if you have more than one. It might’ve been nice to have the option of maid service after two days instead of seven.
Overall, though, we will recommend the property to friends and family, especially once the play area is open again

Pro’s: Great on the beach location with access. We stayed in a clean spacious room with a full kitchen. Room had a balcony view of the ocean. Surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed. Tucked in a neighborhood, a few miles from downtown.
Con’s: Due to a horrible accident on the 196 we arrived at 5:30 pm instead of 4pm. Room was not ready until 6:20 pm. Coffee drinkers should bring their own coffee as the one offered in room is lacking.

We were on our honeymoon and overall we enjoyed our stay and the convenience of the location on the beach.

On our first day as we were entering the room the fire alarm went off. It went off again roughly at 10 pm at night when I was already sleeping. I am a fully disabled veteran with ptsd and having to wake up to this again was extremely upsetting. I called Expedia and was told I should hear something from the manager the next day as they were off on our first day there. Unfortunately for me I was never called or checked up on. The room with a view, the balcony and beach access down to a nice beach were the things we appreciated the most.

We were disappointed in the wash stations not working, We were only able to use our gift card for reservations and gift shop, not the restaurant. Our wait time at the restaurant was long, we waited almost 30 minutes to order after being seated for dinner, and although we ordered right away for breakfast, our food came almost an hour later and coffee after that.

It was our first time staying at driftwood shores. I’m glad we found it, we will definitely stay again when we go to Florence. Staff were friendly, room was great, easy beach access, and the bistro was very good.
