Very freeway convenient and only about 15-20 minutes away from Santa Barbara/UCSB area. Ample free parking and Carpinteria is a nice laid back little town. Only negative is walks are thin so conversations aren’t very private and you can hear neighbors above walking all night. But for the price compared to others it was worth it.

We spontaneously made reservation Friday night and a room was available for our weekend trip with a greate rate. We arrived 2 hours before our check-in time and without even asking if we could check in early he option was available to us. I'm just sorry we didnt get the attendant's name because she was so kind and hospitable. Our room was nice. Clean comfortable. Our weekend stay was absolutely great! I immediately went to the front desk to inform staff that I would be checking out due to this issue. The front desk attendant showed no concern, no urgency, and no care whatsoever. There was no apology, no attempt to offer a different room, and no acknowledgment of how serious or unsanitary this situation was. She simply took my room keys and sent me on my way.
This occurred late at night, leaving me with no choice but to drive home. Thankfully, my drive was only an hour, but no guest should ever be put in this position. The lack of cleanliness combined with the complete indifference from staff is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here.

There was no hot water for a shower in the morning and the front desk didn’t answer the phone. My husband took a cold one. I had no shower. We told the front desk at check out and asked for a full or partial refund. They said we need to go through you, and that staff won’t be able to refund any more than 20%. We said that was not enough, so they advised us to contact the manager, Rola Rizk, and gave me her card. I sent an email to her less than an hour ago explaining the situation and asking her to flag our request and authorize an increased refund. I have stayed at this hotel several times over a 10 year period with good experiences which is why I chose it for this trip.
The staff was great. However the property seems run down. The sliding door onto the patio of our street side first floor room did not lock securely.
The spa was out of order both nights of our stay, which disappointed my granddaughter very much.
And the microwave was out of order on our floor.
We also did not receive fresh towels on our second day.

Staff was lovely. We stayed for three nights in Oct. ‘25. We complained about the noisy freeway and they moved us. Unfortunately, we were then next to a busy street. My suggestion would be to stay in a courtyard room to avoid as much noise as possible.
