The hotel was amazing in terms of location, beach, swimming pools and the dining options. The only reason I would rate it low was due to facilities, such as they did not have iron and when asked it was against their policy to provided an iron. Furthermore, I called the reception multiple times to remind for the pillows and they failed to bring it over, when I went downstairs, I was told that the housekeeping was closed.

Was looking forward to luxury. Hotel was so not luxury.

Double rooms are ALL single beds pushed together. Two separate duvets and a gap in the middle so you can’t sleep together. Very uncomfortable and not ideal for a couples holiday.

Indoor pool / changing area / sauna was so disgusting unloved… dark no lights on, grime and limescale on the floor… no we obviously didn’t use it.

Breakfast was packed. So staff needed to be quicker on clearing tables and restocking. But no urgency at all. Plus food was very low standard eggs were rubbery or burnt most days.

Cleaners for the room basically did nothing everyday minus replace the towels… if they even bothered showing up. We went a few days without and had to request them although we’d been hanging the please clean sign out.

Bar isn’t nice. Looks like a boring lobby where they’ve pulled a few old sofas in front of the bar.

Also all sofas, breakfast room chairs, chair in the room were really grubby and stained.

Literally such a poor standard in this hotel.

The hotel was ok, good location for cavtat, clean, friendly staff but, it definitely isn't a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very basic, you wouldn't want to spend any time relaxing there. The bar/reception area is also dull. We had one drink and left. 3 star is a more realistic grade.

There was no information about the hotel facilities in the room - no map of the grounds or anything. We had to find out by asking and I am sure we missed out . There was no other food available apart from the buffet so when the weather was bad which it was, we had to eat in the buffet and we were not all-inclusive.
The kettle in the room had no plug next to it, there were no tissues or instant coffee sachets. Generally quite dissapointing.

Pool was too cold. Many parasol's didn't have pins,. so they couldn't be raised. Guests were keeping the pins to ensure they could use a parasol the next day. Very geared to all inclusive guests, so for example we couldn't buy an ice cream on site. Some staff at reception were great, others were not helpful. We couldn't get a second key for our room.

Room serviced everyday until day before departure. But that wasn’t an issue for us. Towels replaced. Alcohol local and not a great standard. Mostly the staff pleasant. Good convenient location. We went all inclusive as it wasn’t too much extra cost and food of a reasonable standard. Plenty of choice as normal. Some entertainment in hotel and activities. We had no issues with our stay but as in life you get what you pay for. Overall a good stay in a reasonable hotel.

The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, we got an Uber which was cheaper than getting the taxi and quicker getting hotel transfer.
The room was clean and beds very comfortable had a good night sleep during our stay.
However we had a kettle and cups with tea bags but no milk and when we asked we got told that we had to purchase the milk ! Was not happy with that.
We got an Uber to go to Dubrovnik old town which wasn't to expensive and was nice to come back to the beach.
Cavat town is closed by and was a lovely walk

The all-inclusive package made everything so easy—great food with plenty of variety, refreshing drinks, and friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Spacious room with good size bathroom and a balcony, large busy hotel however did not feel overcrowded.

Good activities during the day and at night. Spa, indoor swimming pool, a small shop.

Very good pool, shame people take all the sun lounges by leaving a towel on them and not using them!

The staff turned me away at 1 am saying there were no rooms. I then booked a room on Expedia. They made me wait until confirmation was received, i had been traveling over 24 hours at this point. The bathrooms are horribly designed. Its like a pool shower, no walls, water can get everywhere. In the AM it looked nice but far overpriced.

During our stay we especially enjoyed Epidaurus Festival music in the hotel lobby and Klapa music in the dining room. The weather was wonderful for dining outside. The young man who led water aerobics coaxed almost everyone into the pool to participate! That was great fun. Mato the bar tender was especially courteous, friendly and fun.

Remisens Hotel Albatros in Cavtat, Croatia, is set in a beautiful, picturesque location. The area offers lovely walks along the bay leading to the charming village of Cavtat, which has a variety of restaurants and pubs. The waterfront is a great spot for viewing the impressive superyachts that often moor there. The people are very friendly, and a boat trip to Dubrovnik to walk the city walls is a definite highlight.

However, the hotel experience was average. While the air-conditioning in the junior suite was good, the public areas like the corridors and bar were uncomfortably warm. Cleanliness was also an issue; housekeeping trollies were left in hallways for days, and bird droppings on the balcony were not cleaned, making it unusable. The food was inconsistent, ranging from good to mediocre.

Overall, the hotel's stunning location makes it a decent base for exploring the area, but the hotel itself has noticeable shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

Very old and run down. Cooking area on floor in restaurant was not clean. Many tables left with dirty pots on, not enough staff to manage this. Totally run down outside sports courts looked derelict. Very sad to see. Food was very poor.
No information given about air con, they must have dozens of queries at reception every week. Didn’t see any management/leadership, seems poorly run. Needs refurb, outside areas not maintained. Food /spillages on floors left with cone near it but not cleaned up. Indoor pool changing area and showers just awful to use on last day after needing to check out of room. Absolutely not 4*

So disappointed with the hotel. It’s in dire need of a makeover. Very dated but clean at least. Staff were miserable. Pool area is extremely busy and although it states no smoking allowed, people were smoking constantly. Even in the dining area. The food was ok some days but diabolical on others. There were days when I lived on bread and butter and watermelon. I wish I’d booked my holiday in a neighboring hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in June and overall had a good experience with a few caveats.

The staff were the true highlight—special thanks to Dragana, Marijana, Ivan, Alexander, and especially Isa and Igorevich, who went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal.

The room was spacious with comfy beds and a fridge (though it was empty). Bedding was oddly small and didn’t fully cover us during sleep.

Facilities were clean and included indoor/outdoor pools, a spa, and a well-equipped gym—though some machines needed light maintenance.

Food was decent with daily variety and some local dishes (we’d welcome more!). Desserts were underwhelming but fresh fruit and ice cream hit were ok.

Carpet and sofa had minor stains—likely from the hotel’s pet-friendly policy. As someone with allergies, I would’ve preferred a pet-free room and no animals in food areas.

Poolside could be better managed—chairs reserved by unattended towels, and guesta smoking despite signage.

Spa services felt pricey, and hallway noise from kids playing was noticeable due to non-soundproof doors.

Still, it was a pleasant stay with standout service.

With attention to details, this hotel could go from good to great.

We were not informed by Expedia that we only had a half board stay instead of full board.
There was no choice offered when making reservations.
There was an option for a see view for which I paid extra . I had one pint of a sea view.
Do not pay extra as all the rooms are with the see view.
Food was poor, not much variety,
No one to take your plate away when finished with one course. I guess, they figured one plate is all one need.
They never sanitized the table mats, would wipe them with the same rag they used to clean the tables with.
Towels- OMG they issue towels twice a day from 10 to noon and from 4 to 5 pm.
You must give a 15 euros deposit to get them.
The chairs around the pool , not enough for the amount of guests. Watered down drinks.
Unfortunately, they have such an amazing coast with poor management and idea what hospitality industry is all about.
My suggestion would be go to Cancun for a week and see how it is done .

The hotel staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were good although the swimming pools were a little cold, well equipped gym to work off the excesses from the all inclusive food offerings. The food was plentiful and the drinks kept flowing, all in all a very pleasant experience.

Excellent location. It has a great boat ride into debrovnik and back allowing you time to visit Dubrovnik for many hours if you like and the total cost was only twenty euros per person.
The indoor pool was helpful when raining. The out door pool is a huge area.
The evening entertainment was good music for families
There were lots of kids here so if you want a quieter spot then this one is not the best.

The hotel was clean and light. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Really good selection of different types of food. Fresh salads, fish and cheeses. This was my fourth time in Cavtat so chose the location rather than the hotel. It's good that it is so close to the airport and the taxi from the airport was 20 Euros - regardless of taxi company. A little bit too early in the season, so a bit cool and places only just starting to open up, so would go in May or September next time, as done previously. Although Dubrovnik is quieter off season. Cavtat has a special place in my heart.

The dinner buffet was really good and all facilities were excellent. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I would go back.

Great location and decent food. Closer to airport than we realised ( good thing for transport), but not a problem with noise. Modern property, large open seating area lacked atmosphere on same level as reception. Only one bar on this level. Restaurant on lower level, snack bar on lower level out near the pools. Self serve drinks at restaurant/ snack bar during open hours. Outside this time, seemed only one bar on upper level by reception. Drinks- all inclusive below standard - soft drinks especially - I opted for water mostly:-/. Two good size pools, a covered pergola surrounds the large pool ( great for shade). Our room lovely, simple and modern, comfy beds, pillow choice ( nice). Location - loved it, small road in front of hotel, small, but lovely pebble beach just across the road, water shoes required( typical Croatian beach). Nice to swim, was inflatable obstacle course week were there, taken down 7 Sept. A few bars/ eateries there, nice for a change to watch the sunset. Within flat walking distance 15 - 20mins Cavtat town. Beautiful stroll, quiet road by the sea. All in all, good quality accomodation for the price, great location

Entry level AI hotel. The staff are pleasant, those at the reception in particular, and a blonde younger female at the grill station at dinner time.
Worst part - coffee they serve for all inclusive is - vile. In general AI drinks taste odd. The only one I liked was Virgin Mojito, at the inside bar near the reception. Nicely crushed lime and mint :).
Breakfast and dinner food was good, though not always replenished. Enjoyed Tuesday evening Croatian themed night, with local ‘klapa’ singing and playing folk songs. There were some nice Croatian dishes like zagorski shtrukli, Dalmatian pashticada and njoki, but disappointing choice of deserts - same as the night before; none of Croatian rozata or apple pie.

This was my first stay at an all inclusive hotel - the food was good, the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and everything was possible. There are tons of external dining options on the beach front which is no more than 50m or so from the hotel itself.

This place was fine, but not for the price. We were considering staying an extra night, but after just a couple of hours, decided to keep it at one night. The room was small but clean. It had three twin beds - two of them were pushed together - and really didn't work for our family set up. We asked for an extra pillow and blanket and they delivered us the pillow and blanket without covers on them. We asked for a pillow case and they said they didn't have them available. Which made no sense since the pillows in the room did have them. While the buffet is large, it was hands down the worst food we had on the trip. The pools looked dingy and like they need to be drained and cleaned. It was nice having the beach access.

Great location and staff. Very near many great restaurants and beaches. I have to say, though, they have the worst mattresses I have encountered at any hotel. Typical European twin beds pushed together to make a larger king bed. I always fall between the beds while sleeping. The food was good (not great) and there was plenty of it. Many options too. I am appreciative for the work the staff must endure to put on three buffet meals every day. What must be a monumental effort to do this is greatly appreciated. The restaurant staff does a very good job, and I am sure their effort seldom receives a proper acknowledgment.

5 Stars all the way.
Staff very friendly. Hotel extremely clean.
Bedroom perfect, included fridge, air conditioning, great shower, safe, balcony with great view including sunsets.
Restaurant had everything, all different selection of foods to accommodate different cultures. Even included a microwave which is a must for us. You could dine inside or outside.
Never got to use all the facilities, indoor poor or gym as too much to do in the area, walks, beaches etc.
Transport was excellent, Uber, Bolt App’s, Water Taxi, Buses.
Location is so handy to the airport.
Had the all-inclusive package which was fantastic.

When we arrived our rooms were 29 degrees celcius (90 Fahrenheit). Even though the booking said it had air conditioning the hotel would not turn it on until many guests left die to the heat. Half of the outlets did not work. Bedding was stained and when we asked for clean bedding they only rearranged so they thought we couldn’t see the stain. Towel heater was on in the bathroom and none Of the staff knew how to turn it off. Front staff was not empathetic or genuine until the manager came in shift. Not a great experience for the cost of the accommodation. Great location though.

The only complaint was getting the room cleaned when sign was put out! May be they were short staffed! It is a big hotel.

This is not a 4-star property by any means. But it does represent a good value overall. If you are comparing a Caribbean all inclusive you will be disappointed. The hotel looks more like a dormitory or other sort of institution, and has zero personality. However, the food options at the all inclusive were decent and the drinks were ok. You’d be hard pressed to find a better overall value for money in the Dubrovnik Riviera.

We stayed here for their last week of their season (unbeknown to us at time of booking). Towards end of week parts of the hotel started to close eg pool snack area - had to use restaurant. Food was plentiful but the same was offered at lunchtime and dinner and little variation during the week. Hotel was very quiet and there was only entertainment on twice in the week (singing duo). No entertainment offered during day. Staff helpful.

Catastrophic, room was nice and clean, staff was polite, however the AC was fixed on certain temperature one cannot change it, hence it was rather hot in the room, balcony was small and without owning so not usable on heat, entire hotel did not have AC anywhere, restaurant and foid was horrible, no table cloths on the tables, food was not tasty at all , poor choice, I felt like I was in the twilight zone in sixties, horrible experience, no value for money at all, overcrowded, chairs on the pool next to each other like sardines in the can, hotel does not have its own beach, but public beach across the road, no covered or assigned parking quite far away from the hotel entrance, elevator without AC, bathroom was a good size, but had only body shower nothing else, not even a box of paper towels, no coffee or coffee cups , would not recommend and will never visit again

Price was quite expensive compared to other all inclusive hotels . Spa not working , gym has ancient equipment . Very limited choices if yiy are vegetarian . Kitchen staff do not speak English at all to explain menu . Communal toilets very dirty .
Evening entertainment is truly appalling . They advertise so much but when you turn up , there is nothing !! It’s a joke !
Although , the hotel is located by the beach, beach has pebbles but if you go 5 metres in the sea , knee height , it has sand and water is clear .

Quieter area and less commotion compared to closer to Old town. A little of a hassle to get there but plenty of options from Uber to Taxi to water taxi to buses. Surrounding area is great for walking and easy to get around. Scenery is gorgeous. Staff was nice and lots to do as it is a resort. Food was as expected for a buffet style. Lots to choose from and quality was slightly above average which was nice.

very good location with easy access to the Dubrovnik ferries. Would be good for families. Because it is a large hotel the eating areas are a bit canteen like but the food was excellent and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Our family loves to travel. I have to say this experience if it’s not the worst but definitely one of the worst experience that we had. It starts from front desk check-in. The staff couldn’t find our all inclusive reservation. Once got in the room and noticed the refrigerator is empty, if needs to fill has to be extra charge mean while we have all inclusive package. Then when we go downstairs to have dinner, it is very disorganized, there was no line and no air conditioning meanwhile it is 95 degrees in Croatia. Very limited hours to serve food and only on snacks bar. So called kids club has no schedule. Although the staff friendly. No private beach and has to pay for beach chairs. Anyway the list can go on and on. We didn’t want to let this place ruin our vacation, we doubt booked other hotel and had a pleasant experience there. It shows on orbitz booking history. We have lost money here but gained knowledge for future that never stay here again or recommend this place to others. 1.5 stars is the most. Thank you for reading.

Don’t expect 4* or good service

Don’t expect 4*!! The photos reflect a warm bright stunning hotel, but in reality is like a grey German bunker!
At times we had no hot water
Staff were miserable, barely said hello or smiled and the service was generally poor!
Good selection of food in the restaurant.

This is an expensive package tour type hotel and includes meals Food is good and plentiful but room service is impossible .Despite a kettle in room no other facilities provided .Room comfortable enough .
While there is coffee at breakfast none at lunch unless you venture to the bar and pay?
Overall needs to upgrade its altitude and service to justify the cost . Close to airport

Generally very good place to stay

Plus:
- Location is very good. Beachfront. My kid enjoyed the beach a lot.
- All inclusive service is convenient, especially for a family with kid(s).
- We were upgraded to a room with additional living room. Nice view and very specious.

Minus:
- Parking slots is relatively limited.
- Some floor area in the restaurant is slippery. More attention is needed.
- The umbrella around the pool is limited. Sometimes we had to sit on the couch without shadow, or find a natural shadow under trees.
- Live music until 23.00. For some people it is \"plus\", but for us with a kid, we prefer quiet evening, or maybe until 21.00 or 22.00.
