Friendly reception staff. Areas in use in good condition apart from dining room that is dated but has a glorious view. Wifi only in communal areas not room. Wake up calls not automated and i did not get mine! I had a car and sp was ideally placed between Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Witjout one o think it may be a little quiet. IGood value eeven n rith nighles. Ibwill go back.

The resort itself was nice and included a pool, beach, dining area and bar. The room was very outdated (shower head was mounted at chest height so if you're tall you had to bend down to use it or hold the shower wand); the cover around the outlet was falling off; no safe in the room; no wifi in the room (only at the lobby and pool). Not much around the resort itself- one restaurant that was booked a week out so we weren't able to try it and you have to Uber or take a ferry into old town. Overall was a good stay but there is definitely ways the hotel can be improved.

Staff were great. Be prepared this has a beach party vibe. Played loud music until midnight and my flight was at 6 am. Patio door couldnt close properly so it was extra loud. So many stairs meant access is challenging.

The air conditioning in my room didn’t work. The housekeeping came in at 8am both mornings I stayed here, not allowing me to sleep. The room was incredibly dirty—blood on a chair in the room and hair clippings in the bathroom. There was no WiFi available in the rooms either.

A Home Away from Home – Truly Memorable Stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Villas Plat, I felt genuinely welcomed,like coming home. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with everything I needed for a perfect getaway.

I was especially grateful for the room upgrade to a beautiful sea view ,waking up to the sound of the waves and the stunning vistas each morning was unforgettable.

A special thank you to Zeyka and Ivona, who went above and beyond during my stay. They were not only incredibly helpful and professional, but also warm, friendly, and full of positive energy. They are true superstars and contributed greatly to making my stay so enjoyable and memorable.

Thanks to their hospitality and the overall wonderful experience, I will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, genuine service, and a touch of home by the sea.

Although the description is technically not incorrect this property leaves a lot to be desired. There is no mention of the amount of stairs you have to get your luggage up with even the lowest villa a good 3 flights and our villa was around 8 flights and some were still further up the property. The tv and airconditioner didn't work in our room. Staff were unhelpful, the pool was down another 6 out so flights of stairs and when we got down and wanted a drink everything on the property was cash only (not a big deal but wasn't walking all the steps back to room to get cash and the folder hadnt said). Breakfast and dinner were pretty average but buffet style so you could have a much as you wanted. There was no wifi in the rooms, the pool was slippery inside and out and poorly maintained and the staff stood at the bottom of the steps and pointed to where you had to go. We saw a tour group of around 30 retirees being pointed up the stairs with no help at all.

My recent stay at Plat Hotel in Dubrovnik, booked through Hotels.com, was deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn other travelers. As first-time visitors to Croatia and the beautiful Dubrovnik area, my expectations were high based on the pictures shown on the booking site, but the reality was far from what was advertised.The rooms did not remotely resemble the images on Hotels.com. They were small, outdated, and poorly maintained, with three blocking The beautiful view beds were particularly terrible—hard, uncomfortable mattresses that left us with back and neck pain after each night. During morning cleaning, I glimpsed other rooms, including those with king or queen beds, and the mattress quality appeared consistently poor across the board. It’s clear the hotel hasn’t invested in maintaining or updating its accommodations, which made sleeping a challenge.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of internet access in the rooms. To use Wi-Fi, guests had to go to the reception or common area, I overheard the receptionist tell another guest that the internet is primarily for office use and not intended for guests, which is why it’s only available at the reception and common area. In 2025, reliable in-room Wi-Fi is a standard expectation for guest comfort and communication, making the hotel’s restrictive policy feel outdated and highly inconvenient.The breakfast was another letdown—limited in variety, low in quality

This was a great place to stay very clean, quiet and well kept. The staff was very attentive towards my needs. They bought my luggage to my room. It was just a wonderful experience from the time I arrive. The front desk woman was very kind and courteous throughout the whole. And although I was traveling alone. I felt safe and secure, the property was amazing to look at just breathtaking. It was unfortunate. I was not able to stay longer. I had to travel back to the states, but I look forward to the moment when I can return and visit again.

Both rooms were clean. The staff was kind and always helpful. The outdoor pool was great. Breakfast was great, except the very few fresh vegetables and the undrinkable coffee. Otherwise everything good and very valuable for the price we paid. Just be aware of the location, the hotel is on the lower part of the mountain which means that the main road is on higher level. We were lucky to have a car. For families i would instead recommend the town Cavtat as a better option.

What had been a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Villas Plat was spoilt by theft of property from our apartment by hotel cleaning staff. Having read through other reviews I see that this is not an uncommon experience. When reported to Reception the response was to simply check with the cleaning staff whether they were in the room on the date the theft occurred. The response was that they had not been in the room which is completely untrue as the room had been serviced. No further support offered.

We were expected to haul our luggage up at least 50 stairs, and when we asked for assistance, our request was refused. The overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. While the food was decent, the property is remote and in serious need of major improvements.

Fantastic stay. Rooms clean. Food very good. We had dinner buffet a few times and the choice was amazing. Beaches were really good with quiet one down the steps to the right facing the sea. Rooms very clean. Staff so helpful. Buses at top of hill, 20 min ride into olt town and cavat lovely as well. Band and keyboard man were very good entertainment. You could get a higher star hotel if you wanted, but for the price this was fantastic. Pool overlooking the sea and boats to old town 5 minutes down the dlope. Thank you for a lovely stay.

On entering we were greeted by a gentleman at reception who was so thorough in completing the check in process and explaining where things were, showing us to where our room would be. He really did make us feel welcomed and despite us coming early allowed us to use the facilities, saying he would text us when the room was ready. The pool was lovely, busy with families enjoying themselves so a short wait was required for a sun bed and then after a small hunt we found spare umbrellas behind the bar. The bar and restaurant is cash only, a steep withdrawal fee from the ATM but we only needed that once. The gym is old school which I loved, no air conditioning and aging machines but you feel that you’ve had a sauna and a sweaty workout which makes a refreshing change from the standard hotel gym you normally see. We received the text as promised for our room and found to have a slightly dated but very clean room . The stay was to spend time outside and not in the room so that was fine, the shower was amazing and air conditioning perfect.
The evening entertainment was so much fun, a local man on his keyboard entertaining us all while we ate, we even had a dance, lots of enthusiasm and good tunes along with many local ones. The food was excellent and fairly priced, beer was cold, that’s all we required. Breakfast which was included was a bit basic but kept you going until lunch.

Overall an old romantic feel, excellent customer service and superb views. Thank you!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and for five of those nights we had no air conditioning. We contacted front desk and would send handy man he would reset unit and in 10 minutes it would shut off.
The bed for the third guest in our room was a cot that was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture it was a though sleeping directly on pile wood.
The buffet breakfast was very limited and not particularly clean.

Very nice location between two beaches and a great view with big rooms. I like that they cleaned our room every day. Good price with breakfast and all amenities. The hotel needs a renovation though. There was a problem with our AC, our sink and our shower. There were almost no tools for the little kitchen.

Friendly staff at all locations. Be at the reception or the restaurant.

The beach is close by so you can literally spend the day there and not have to travel.
The swimming pool is decent.

The rooms are cleaned well.

There is live music in the evening around the restaurant which gave a nice ambience and entertainment while enjoying the meal.

Not so good:
WiFi is not available in the rooms. At least the ones we stayed. For some reason the mobile data was also not good reception in the rooms. My wife had a good one so can’t complain about network reception totally!

Breakfast is just ok. Nothing that you would look forward to as a special one. Just that we needed something to eat and is included we would eat the breakfast!

We had dinner at the restaurant and we felt the food was just ok.

Rooms are a great size, the views across the water are beautiful, restaurant is great with lots of options, the kids club was great for our girls, and the location is great. Best budget hotel, very clean, very professional staff at front desk. House keeping staff cleans room daily, very fresh room when returning from a full day touring,

Easy access to the sea, saltwater pool, reasonable price for stay were the positives at this hotel. The rooms were air conditioned but the beds gave us all back aches, it also wasn't super clean. We booked for 3 people and were supposed to have a sofa bed but it was just a couch, so it was small. The breakfast was very poor for vegans and vegetarians. The pool side bar and hotel restaurant only take cash which is quite inconvenient. The place has a lot of stairs, like the rest of Dubrovnik.

Great family place. We stayed in a nice apartment with a big balcony with a lovely view of the sea. Nice and clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Facilities and rooms, an taverna, need some general maintenance. At the same time, we exeperienced nothing broken or not functional in the room we stayed in. But some equipment in gym did not work.

We loved our stay at villas plat. All the staff that we had contact with were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautifully clean and the pool area is beautiful. The location was good with a direct boat and bus to Dubrovnik old town and to the nearby town of cavtat. There are a few restaurants but don’t expect fine dining. The bay is really nice (Jeff bezos’ yacht and support boat turned up one day). There are a few small public beaches adjacent to the resort.
The downside is that the grounds include some unused buildings - it’s not clear what the plan for these is, and it would be better if they weren’t there, but they are easily ignored, and that our room could do with a bit of maintenance even though it was very clean. Very easy to get to and from the airport (€12 via uber).

There are a lot of stairs and no elevators/lifts. Stayed on the 3rd floor and had to traverse several flights of stairs to get to our assigned building, then traverse 3 additional flights of stairs to get to our room. Beautiful pool and nice beach (rocky-bring water shoes), both of which require climbing up/down a lot of stairs. Pool bar, beach bar and cafe accept cash only. Missing out on a lot of revenue by not accepting credit cards. No pool towels and staff won't readily give out extra towels to use. Chairs on the beach are ten Euros to rent, regardless if you are staying at the hotel or not. No wifi in rooms. Limited TV channels. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. The cafe has an amazing grilled chicken salad. Nice convenience store on the property that accepts credit cards.

The ac was broken and dripping in one of the rooms that we had to squish with the kids in 1 room ,
there was no iron for the clothes
, the hair dryer is old and slow,
And i could not for the life of me locate a safe in the room to lock away belongings,
The breakfast says included but it ends at 930 am and we were not aware that it ended so early since we are used to breakfast endding the latest 11am ,
Thus we missed our free breakfast

This is a review for the American traveler. I am an American but live in Germany. I have traveled extensively in Europe.

*Take the breakfast option out of necessity as you aren't near anywhere to grab a bite. There is a kitchenette with two burners, pots/pans.
*maintenance was quick to come to room.
Cons❌
*no wifi in rooms or pool
*A lot of walking steps to any villa, pool, or beach. This hotel is not for anyone with limited mobility, nor is Dubrovnik.
*Breakfast food isn't the best but it is edible.
*Pool towels are not available. As an American, I call any oversized towel a “beach towel”. My mistake asking the front desk for a beach towel when in reality I was going to the pool. When I corrected myself to say “pool towel” I was informed “no” because I just said I was going to the beach. So if you fail to bring your beach towel call it a pool towel.
*Hair dryer is a wall unit—if you have any thickness this isn't an option to dry your hair in a timely manner.
*Shower shoots water against the back wall causing it to pour onto the floor. You need extra towels to dry. To use the shower you must not turn it to full capacity.
*no safe in room
*no iron
* pool bar and restaurant are cash only! There is an ATM (yellow) with high fees. Get cash at a bank ATM for less fees and better exchange rates.
*Pool bar—cash only! This pool bar business is missing out on so much money by not taking a cc/charge to room.

Only had breakfast once. It was pretty good too.

Be aware that there are a lot of steps to everything.
The car park is a bit of a distance from accommodation blocks.

But overall it is a really nice place to stay.

Beautiful location with a nice infinity outdoor pool.
The staff was great and helpful with taking our luggage up the many stairs. The front desk helped us order a taxi to the airport. The breakfast was good and dinner in the Hotel Bistro was very good. The room had basic furniture and the TV didn’t work and closet sliding door was stuck. I didn’t like that there was no wifi in the room and you need to bring your own towels to use in the pool and beach. The price was right for an overnight stay and you would need a car or other transportation to go sightseeing.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. It might have been nice at sometime but it is currently not well maintained and appears to be mostly vacant. The pool area is nice but loud music playing made it undesirable. The restaurant was only open for lunch for one hour 1-2 which we missed and there are no other options within walking distance except one lovely little restaurant on the beach from an adjacent property. The restaurant on site did a buffet dinner with no other choices. The property had hired a “one man band” for the evening who played old 1940 music out doors pointing at our , and everyone else’s, balcony until 11:00 PM even though the proteas a written no noise policy past 10:00 PM. Avoid this place if you can

Entertainment went till 11pm nightly which could be heard from your room with the patio doors closed. Not good after a 7hr flight and wanting to go to bed early. Rooms have thin walls, damaged parkay flooring in room, faucets and shower in room with explosive water pressure and a few ants in the room. And way too many cats. Loved the people and amazing staff and services! Absolutely worth it and will be coming back! The restaurant staff was super nice but unfortunately the food at the restaurant as well as the breakfast was less than spectacular. (Don’t order the burger if you don’t like processed meat). Tv in the room didn’t work as well as the remote in our rooms to both but we were on vacation so it didn’t matter until we wanted to sleep and watch a little tv. Regardless of the two small hiccups I will absolutely be booking here again because of said staff, cleanliness of the room, price, and location with the beach!

Barely worth the 3 stars. Pool area is nice, that’s about it. Rooms are outdated, and the restaurant was the worst food experience in Croatia. We waited 1 hour for a chicken sandwich and a pita cepapi. Ordered some bruschetta for appetizer and got it also 1 hour later. It consisted of 4 dry bread loafs with frozen shrimp on it. I told the waiter that we were not satisfied with the food quality and asked why they served the appetizers at the same time with the food - all the young man said was ”that’s how we serve it”.

Lovely resort type stay.

We booked here for one nights stay, short notice, we had to leave another property as it was very dirty and unsuitable for sleeping in.

Rooms have a nice view of ocean from balcony. It’s very close to the ocean, you can hear this at night.

Pool is very nice, over looking the ocean. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

The room included a free breakfast. Unfortunately this wasn’t worth getting up for! The food was overcooked, rock hard pastries and limited choice. Yoghurts etc had run out and were not replaced.

Bueno para ir a playa.

En líneas generales es un hotel bueno para los que van a decansar en la playa, en mi caso que fui únicamente a conocer debo anotar lo siguiente: un hotel mayor, sin remodelar, con muebles algo viejos y los colchones en regular estado. NO hay wifi en las habitaciones y tampoco cuenta con personal para ayudar con el equipaje y son 200 mt o más subiendo escaleras, muy bueno el desayuno, personal amable y servicial.

Really bad service, they were so rude. Bad and pricy restaurant. The tablets at the breakfast was dirty. The beds were uncomfortable. The rooms need a update.

Excellent location and view. Good size for family. BEAUTIFUL balcony area-giant one , with an awesome view. But the swimming pool has got sea water with chlorine and that was not nice for my eyes.the shower was briken needs fucung and the fan too ...new moderation

Best view i've ever had in a hotel balcony. Staff were very friendly and there to help. Breakfast was nice. Only downside is no wifi in the hotel rooms but good side to that is you find yourself going outside a lot anyway

The hotel needs an update as it's a little outdated. The wifi is only available in common areas (not in the room). The pool area is beautiful. We only stayed here for one night so it was perfect for us.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was a short Uber drive to Old Town Dubrovnik and the airport. The pool was wonderful. The food available on property was ok. The only disappointing thing was not having WIFI available in the room.

Nice hotel in a good location

The staff were friendly and efficent. We had an amazing view from the room. The hotel is only a short drive from the airport.There are some small beaches within walking distance with an infinity pool on site. The rooms though slightly dated are clean and comfortable, representing excellent value for money in Dubrovnik.

Väldigt väldigt slitet hotell. Hela hotellet skulle antingen rivas eller totalrenoveras. Väldigt enkel frukost. Ej barnvänligt och inte lämpligt för petsoner som har svårt att gå.

A wonderful week in Plat, Dubrovnik <3

We spent a wonderful week in Hotel Villas Plat 7/24 with my husband and sisters teenage kids.
We had a big family room with a huge balcony and a 180* view to the sea. The room and other buildings we popped in were a bit worn, but not so that it would bother that much.
We used the pool, pool bar, beach bar, small store, restaurant, the bar next to the store and the reception. Everything worked well and people were very friendly. The pool had seawater in it. And the whole pool area was spacious. The store had snacks, drinks and some things you might need on your vacation (sun hats, pool toys...). The restaurant had a basic breakfast - a little something for everyone. We ate dinner buffet there once (it was not to our liking). The bar next to the store had good basic bar food, drinks and wonderful live music every night. The people at the reseption were kind (especially one young woman with blond hair - a special thanks to her <3 ) and helpful. And they also had a convenient driver service we used :)
The whole Dubrovnik area is built on the side of mountains, so there is a lot of hills and stairs all over. Not for people with bad legs! The villa buildings are also up the hill and one has to carry their own bags to the rooms. During the day there is many, many stairs to clime back and forward. But for us it was worth it all.
This was our first visit in Croatia and we all loved it! Dubrovnik has a lot of amazing places to visit. The prices were higher than we expected.

Great stay, would come back again.

Great stay overall. Rooms were clean, good facilities on site that we got to enjoy. Reception team were very helpful too. My only gripe would be the comfort of the bed, but being super tired in the night this didn’t affect my sleep too much. Also, there isn’t many places to eat nearby, which was probably our biggest struggle.
