Great location and breakfast but that's where it ends. Air conditioning noisey and didn't work, room was made up every day after putting the sign out on the door for it not too so we didn't get vouchers, shower head keep falling couldn't adjust. Dinning advertised as open to late but was close by 9pm. Charged 3 nights parking when only asked for one.

The room was very warm when I entered. Four cockroaches walked on the table at different times. Air conditioning unit was being set at 25c although I have adjusted it to a lower temperature and it is nosy. The remote control does not work all the time. I need to use the cloth hanger to turn off the main switch. It was very loud noise outside with a special function at the pub therefore I would not open the window.

The Manager on desk was just lovely. Very helpful and such a nice lady.
I don’t think the male cleaners are doing a good job.
Walls were dirty coffee drips on walls. The pillows need throwing out. No pillow protectors and they smelt.cleaner was mopping floor while we were having breakfast. Could be a great place to stay. Air conditioner not working and the room so hot. Place was just not professional except for manager at front desk

This hotel is clean, well located and has nice rooms. However the room air-conditioning was so loud it was awful to sleep with. It is such a shame because the beds were comfortable and everything else was what we were after, but there is no way I would be able to stay another night with the noise. There is no quiet mode and it is too hot in a room for 4 to turn it off. They really need to fix this.

A 2 start \"motel\" would have better rooms. Cracked shower head, cracked sink, no closet what so ever, 2 hangers on a wall, no garbage bin, no spoons to stir a coffee, not even a water bottle in the room. I should pay $120 not $320.
And of course, parking is an additional $25 per day

Staff are great, room is small but clean and comfortable.
However, the so-called \"high speed WiFi\" is just not up to spec.
This is my second stay at this hotel, but I'm inclined to pay just a little extra to stay elsewhere - where the WiFi works properly, so I don't need to hotspot from my phone.

The room was good - clean, well presented but quite modest in size. Suitable for our overnight stay, but lacked any wardrobe or cupboard space that you would want for a longer stay.
We had to evacuate at 11:00pm due to a fire alarm, something that would not have concerned us except that we we told by other guests that there had been an evacuation two nights earlier - at 2:30 am.
However, I would still recommend Hotel Totto because the positives thoroughly outweighed the minor negatives and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel encourages checking in/out via kiosk or on your phone, which is convenient but seems unnecessary when there is then staff floating around, not very personable or welcoming!
But overall a great hotel in the heart of Wollongong at still reasonable prices

The rooms were clean and tidy, and although they were not overly spacious, they served our purpose over Christmas. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows, great pillows. Air conditioners in the rooms are EXTREMELY noisy. You need them on (we stayed in December in mid 30s temps) otherwise the room quickly becomes unbearable. Staff are lovely, restaurant is fine, but the rooms are very basic. Rooms also not very sound proof, so expect to hear quite a bit of street noise.

We stayed on Saturday night hoping for a quiet, relaxing getaway after the roughest year of our lives, but it was far from restful. The biggest issue was noise. Fatboy Pride & Grill is open until 3:30 am, and the noise from people leaving after drinking was extremely loud. It bounced off the buildings straight into our room. The window didn’t seem to be acoustic glass, and even with it closed you could feel a breeze through the seals, so the soundproofing was very poor.

Inside the accommodation it wasn’t much better. The room doors don’t have a soft-close mechanism, so every time someone left their room it sounded like a door slamming shut, which made us jump and made resting impossible.

The aircon was another problem. It cooled the room loudly and every time it switched back on it made a louder rumbling noise like a car starting beside the bed. My partner is a deep sleeper and even he couldn’t sleep. We ended up getting up around 2 am and decided to just do a lap around the street because it was impossible to relax in the room. After that, we were basically waiting until around 3:30 am when Fatboy Pride & Grill finally closed so it would quieten down.

The room design was nice, but cleanliness wasn’t great (shower and sink drain mouldy) The window doesn’t open fully and there’s no fly screen, so the room heats up quickly and becomes uncomfortable.

If you’re looking for rest, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We left more exhausted than when we arrived.

May wife and I stayed last night at this Totto Hotel. I booked via my Expedia Account. The hotel is classified 4 star, in my humble opinion it doesn't deserve even 2, I know because I stayed in hundreds of hotel globally while managing conferences and exhibition Group. Here are a short list of discomforts:

1. There no phone in the rooms! Yes no freaking phones!
2. We had to call via reception to ask a missing air conditioning remote control!
3. No pens, pencils or papers.
4. Nothing provided in the bathroom but body soap and shampoo in bulk dispensers.
5. As there are no chairs to watch the TV we had to sit on bed, and funny enough the bed did not stay still. I had to rest the bed's wheels in my SHOES to keep still!
6. Breakfast was about $35 per head and you most definitely get better value at a motel or Macca.
7. The quality of the bed and pillows provided is quite below such rating.
8. I was charged $25 for overnight parking, I couldn't recall seeing this charge on Expedia.
8. There are more things to list...

We will never stay here ever again.

Staff were so friendly and welcoming!
The hotel itself feels a little tired but dressed up and styled well. Aircon was a bit clunky and old but overall the smallish room was pretty good value. Will definitely stay again when we visit Wollongong again

The garage says 2.1m clearance, however the top of our vehicle hit a sewerage pipe at the back of our park, leaving a scratch on our vehicle. Also, the air conditioner in our room was terrible, it turned on and off every 5 minutes and was extremely loud.

Nite time is noisy as people watch game and screaming .
This hotel is like uni accomodation and overpriced. Only one staff in reception and No room service.
Even though paid for breakfast , coffee not included. I paid $5 for a small flat white and realised I was the only one have to collect my coffee in take away cup. But the other western guests are all served by bringing cups over. Feel not comfortable.

Hated our stay here. The room and bathroom are claustrophobically small. The price simply didn’t reflect what was offered. The bed got made on the outside but the sheet under the cover was all twisted - it was like someone tried short sheeting the bed. The comforter was stained under the sheets.
If this hotel was half the price I wouldn’t mention any of this but it was laughably over priced.

Staff were polite but seemed to very flat out and could not give the quality of service you should receive - it appeared they were short staff. Meals from the restaurant was average.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed - a cheap but clean and nice place to sleep for a few hours. The room is small so you wouldn’t want to spend all day at the hotel. But it was enough to sleep and shower and was well maintained and clean. The only downsides are the bed was very springy so my husband and I woke each other up through the night whenever we moved, and the biggest thing was the room was very noisy due to drunks being loud on a Friday night walking between bars, and the hotel doors slamming. So this was loud enough to wake us a few times through the night.
